Initially I was having some communication issues with Props, but I will admit that those were probably more my fault than theirs. None of that mattered on the day of, anyway. Anthony was the perfect DJ for us. He was on time, played great music, and wasn’t cheesy at all. He was on the mic for a minimal amount of time, made the announcements he was supposed to make in an effective manner, and then got off the mic and played good music. The pre-ceremony music and the cocktail hour music were both CDs that I burned for him (I was paranoid - I’m very picky about music), but the dinner music was GREAT (he took a cue from my CDs) and the dance music was GREAT. Everyone was out dancing and having a good time. I was so, so pleased with the job he did for us, especially since DJ was my biggest concern and would really make or break the party I was trying to throw. Anthony was great. I would totally recommend him to someone looking for a non-cheesy, non-obtrusive DJ.

Affordable DJ with great performance, we gave him our playlist and preferences of songs and he managed to mix them up. The dance floor was packed all night, if you are looking for DJ who could mix with minimum MC time he is the DJ for you.

Brady is very passionate about what he does. I actually booked Brady before I ever met him. He really brought everything together without us being there and constantly followed up with us throughout the year.

Brady really knew how to gauge our guests and played all the music we wanted. We had a blast thanks to him.

The John M. Lee Court at Bowers is a great canvas to work with and I knew I had the right guy when I first met Brady. His eyes opened up so wide when he saw the room that I wanted him to light up. He really knows his stuff when it comes to lighting. Just days prior to the wedding, I still hadn't chosen the color of my uplights. Paola and I were considering some color options, but it was Brady who created a mixture of amber gels that really made the room pop. Brady never tried to force any ideas on me, but he honestly suggested what he thought would be great for the room. His lighting package that we used (uplights for the entire room with 4 intelligient lights) really took the room to a whole other level.

Brady was so great! We had him DJ and Emcee our reception and we got so many compliments! He really gaged our guests and what they wanted to hear while also trying to include as many of our requested songs as possible. He pronounced everyone's name right (which is no easy feet in my family) and he really kept the evening flowing smoothly.

Love Props. Loved our DJ. But more than anything, I loved loved loved our lighting. We had our vow renewal at the Muckenthaler Mansion and as beautiful as it was, I knew that lighting would really "make" the place. I spent a little extra, but still not a lot, and was thrilled with the outcome. We got a DJ for 5 hours (ceremony and reception) and he was able to get any song we wanted (the joys of the internet). He didn't even blink an eye when I told him that the song I wanted for the ceremony was Chopin Mazurka in A Minor Opus 67 Number 4. He got it so fast you'd swear I asked for the Wedding March. We opted for all up-lighting. We had red in the dance area as our colors were deep wine-red and chocolate brown. In the dining area, we did a soft amber, and for the buffet we did an icy blue/white. They were great with their suggestions, even coming to the venue and figuring out how I could get the most impact with the lighting in my limited budget. And the crowd was on the floor all night long. Even my husbands grandma hanbok (traditional Korean dress) was shakin' it like there was no tomorrow. Props is definitely a winner!

Based on reviews I read on the Knot and LA Bridezilla, I went with Props Fx. My husband was nervous since we booked our DJ without ever meeting anyone face to face. I assured him that it should be fine since other brides were happy with this vendor. Well, I was wrong. I asked for Brady as first choice and then Anthony. Anthony was confirmed as my DJ twice. 3 months prior to my wedding, I found out Anthony was unavailable and had been for at least a year since he normally does some type of event annually in October. So then I went with Sean. Sean and I met and all seemed well again.

During our consultation w/ Sean, we told him that we would not be doing the removal of the garter, just the garter toss. We also asked where he would be putting the slideshow screen. He seemed confused so I showed him the package I purchased (it comes with a projector and screen), and he assured me he would have it at the wedding. He also told me to go onto the website and put in an outline of events and any special songs we want played during the wedding.

During the day of the wedding, we had a whole host of issues. Throughout the night, the music repeatedly skipped with the DJ nowhere in sight. He asked for a chair to be brought out when we specifically told him that we would not be doing that. Our entrance song was never played and he announced the wrong first dance song. We had to wait a few uncomfortable minutes as he looked for the correct one. But our greatest disappointment was the lack of projector and screen. Even though we TOLD him our packaged included these, he did not bring them to our venue. He had to ask Props to bring it from Hemet. We were all constantly told that it will be here in 40 mins, 20 mins, 10 mins. Well, it was past 9pm and there was no projector. I was extremely upset. Our friend had worked on a GREAT slideshow to be shown when ALL guests were present. This ruined the tempo of the evening since we were dragging out certain events to keep our guests there. In the end, we just said forget it and never had a chance to show our slideshow.

Words alone cannot express how disappointed my husband and I felt. We still get angry about it now. I hope our experience w/ Props was a fluke. I hope others do not go through what we did. Just make sure you stay on top of them. The reason they are even getting 2 stars is b/c of the way Brady handled our situation after all was said and done. He was very courteous and apologetic. Our partial refund is a bit slow in coming, but he assures us it is on its way.

Brady was great to work with. We planned out every detail with him prior to the wedding, and he made several suggestions that helped us out tremendously. On the day of the wedding, Brady was a great DJ. He played and announnced everything we went over. He had the dancefloor packed all night. He did the lighting as well and it was beautiful.

We originally were assigned another DJ who seemed really competent, but after meeting with Brady, my now-hubster asked him to work our wedding since he felt more comfortable w/him instead of the other DJ. Brady and his company in general were really great to work with - flexible, friendly, professional, accommodating, experienced, and Brady clearly enjoys what he does. He met us at our venue for a once over and gave us great suggestions for our timeline, since we were creating it ourselves and we really didn't know what would work. He pronounced our 15 letter last name w/o any probs! We did the Creative Lighting Package and the room looked great.

Overall, we'd recommend Brady/PropsFX in a heartbeat. (We also booked our videographer, ProVideo FX - Drew, through Props FX and we loved him also!).

Brady was very professional, and even with a few flubs (announced my flower girl's name when my bridesmaid walked in) he did a great job. Great for someone on a budget. He comes to your house or a Starbucks or something to meet you so you don't have to do anything!

Brady was the DJ for both my ceremony and reception. He arrived at the venue early to set up, played the songs we asked him to play, and was very professional. I definitely recommend him.

I have worked with Props FX for such a long time! I always recommend them to all my clients... their knowledge and professionalism has always been appealing to my clients. When I work with them, I am always less worried about how the day with go...so well organized and such a crowd pleaser!!!
