Patricia and her staff at Puddingstone resort were great. My Husband & I were looking for a low price venue option and we found it with Puddingstone. They include all the tables & Chairs so it makes the cost worth it.
This is a Do it Yourself venue. That is the most important thing to think of before booking this. Who is going to put your bar together, who is going to put your tables together. Who's going to set up your flowers, plates & Glasses. Its a lot to think about but if you have people who can help you with all that this is the way to go. We booked at the Mesa Site and it was beautiful. I was very happy with the venue. Puddingstone was very flexible with us, they let us bring in our own dance floor, they added last minute tables at no cost, they even let us book over their 150 person max.
Make sure you keep track of anything you want to keep after the wedding. A few things that I thought I would have to keep after the wedding disappeared in the clean up...

We had our wedding in Oct 2011. We booked the mesa site for ceremony and reception. Everything was great. The only glitch we had was that the grass was wet the morning of the wedding, it made things a little difficult. It was hard to keep the dress clean and we had to take photos in the upper level, which had to much sunlight. If you book with them just keep that in mind. Other than that it was a beautiful site and my wedding was great!

If you are looking for a memorable venue, Puddingstone Resort is it! The view is breathtaking, and being up in the hills truly makes you feel like you are away from the world. Every single staff member was professional, courteous, and on the ball - and our wedding coordinator went above and beyond for us. I would recommend the location to any bride and groom! The fact that you can bring in all of your own vendors - at no extra charge - is a rare find.

I had my May 2010 wedding and reception at Puddingstone Resort. I double booked both sites (mesa and vista) which was great. If you can budget it in I would highly recommend it. I had the ceremony at the vista and the reception at the mesa. I brought in most of my own rentals so other than a few tables and heat lamps I had everything else brought in. I also used my own wedding coordinator but I know that she worked with Jackie and found her to be fabulous and very responsive. When another person we were working with there randomly quit Jackie picked up right where he left of and was 10 times better.
Puddingstone is a beautiful place and one of the best outside venues in Southern Ca not only for its beauty but for its flexibility. I brought it all of my own vendors (however I did use one of their recommended caterers - Simply Elegant, who I would highly recommend) and there were literally no restrictions at the venue other than no live bands which was fine and we did have live music at the ceremony so they are even flexible with that.
In my search for a venue I found that SO many venues charge you an arm and a leg and still restrict you tons. As long as you are respectful and don't burn the place down you can do whatever you want at Puddingstone.
I would definitely recommend Puddingstone. It is totally a blank canvas. You can do as much or as little as you want with it!

My Husband and I got married at the Vista Site last Nov. Everything was perfect. Steve was so helpful including all the staff there. Whenever I needed anything or had any questions they were always happy to help. Puddingstone also had a Bridal Showcase earlier that year , my husband to be and myself went and that is where we found our Minster Rev. Carolyn Alexander and Caterer Melrose Catering. They were both wonderful choices and I received so many complements from our guest and my co -workers about the ceremony and the food. I would recommend anyone who wants a beautiful inexpensive wedding to get married there the views are wonderful.

We had our daytime ceremony here and it was perfect. The natural setting and the lake below made our pictures come out beautiful. My bridesmaids and I were able to finish getting ready in a small bridal room they provided which was nice. We decided a reception would not be practical for us but we definitely enjoyed having our ceremony here. Oh and we were able to take our wedding pix here also before heading to the reception which was very convenient.

Everything we expected and was promised. Our wedding coordinator Jackie was amazing. She made me feel so relaxed the day of the wedding.

We had both the Ceremony and Reception at Puddingstone Resort, they provided excellent service and help. They provided us with a list of vendors that were familiar with their rules and restrictions to help us with our searching, however we did not have to use any of them (and we found our own). Puddingstone Resort also provided us with half of the flowers for the Ceremony (which saved us a ton of money-- flowers are expensive!!!). We were able to change details right up until the week before the wedding, which made things easy if we were not able to get some items from other vendors.
Puddingstone Resort is located in San Dimas, CA. and they have two outdoor Wedding / Reception sites that are both very beautiful with great views, you just have to choose the one you lie best for your event. We highly recommed this vendor to other couples for just about any occasion. They also provide an on site Wedding planner to help you with all the details that they will be taking care of for you.

I would not reccomend this place as a wedding site, especially for a night reception. This place did not allow candles and at the last minute told us that we were unable to use glasses to drink our wine. We ended up using plastic plates and plastic cups and had limited light at night. The staff there were unfriendly and unhelpful.
Vendor response to review
For anyone reading this review please do not be discouraged. Not only do we allow real china, we include it in some of our reception packages. We do have packages that do not include these essential items just in case your decorator or cateror will provide them for you. Even though candle light is not necessary, it is pretty. We usually recommend that anyone that wants to create that atmosphere to remember to have a few inches of clearance from the top of the candle container to the wick of the candle so that they can burn all night long. What we don't allow are things like rice, birdseed, glitter and confetti. These items can get into the ground or into animals, and we wouldn't want to hurt them. Tiki torches, propane heaters and large items like canopies we ask be rented through our facility to prevent any damage or hazardous situations. Our goal is to make you happy and we are willing to do what it takes to see that happen.
My husband and i chose to have our civil wedding and reception at Puddingston on May of 2009. It was a beautiful site, and so romantic! It had a nice view, the twinkle lights were on and it was a great day for our wedding. Also, everybody was pleasently surprised that our wedding site was outdoors and not boring old indoor with no view. Everybody at Puddingston were very helpful and friendly. I dont think it could have been any better than it was, the only thing is that it went by so fast, i wish i could known and gotten some extra dancing time. I definitely recommend the site for wedding and receptions. I will keep this place in mind for any other ocassion.
Words cannot express how happy we were with our wedding at Puddingstone. From the very beginning we felt so comfotable, and at ease with the friendly, and helpful staff. Steve and Patricia put us at ease. They were always there to answer all of our questions. On the day of our wedding, Puddingstone went above and beyond what we expected. Even though it was sprinkling that day, it turned out perfect! Thank you so much!!!
