Love Punam, Love her work. She is such a wonderful, sweet, funny and down to earth woman who knows how to make you feel natural in front of the camera. She has a very special "eye" for THE shots and never fails to catch those special moments. We had engagement photos and our wedding day photographed by Punam and we are anxiously awaiting for our gallery :) I tell EVERYONE I know about Punam and her amazing work, I feel like everyone that meets her wants to be her best friend! Her rates are reasonable for the amount of work she does and she is willing to slightly alter packages to help you fit your budget (usually by removing the CD of images for purchase at a later date) she also provides a unique service of a photography "registry" that family members can contribute to help towards your photos/albums etc... I knew I wanted to book Punam from the first time I saw her photos, and I am soo blessed to have been able to work with her and look forward to booking her again for family sessions.

Punam is an amazing photog and person. She was professional but so very real. We met prior to hiring her and a early dinner became a late dinner. She is truly someone who loves/is loved and understands love. It was like having a very good friend be there for you on your wedding day. She captures the beauty and emotion of your day in such a talented/thoughtful way.
She's young and fresh. She knows what she's doing.
As for the technical stuff:
-We had a local wedding and were a budget so we went with her most affordable package
-She includes an engagement session with her package. We didn't have time to set one up because of our crazy schedules, but i bet it's great time to to get hang out with her because she is awesome.
-Her style is very unobtrusive and she makes it comfortable to be in front of the camera.

Simply put, Punam rocks. Punam is down to earth, accomodating and professional; she is funny, warm, and lovable, and she really is just awesome to hang out and take pictures with. Even though at times she is quite the sneaky devil and gets in pictures of things you don't even realize at the time, you can feel her overwhelmingly positive and warm energy, wishing you well your entire wedding day. And that is MORE than you could possibly want in a photographer. It really, really doesn't hurt that she makes the most breathtakingly emotional and beautiful pictures I have ever seen.

Punam Bean is so talented and such a beautiful person. She is a pleasure to work with and her pictures are amazing. She made my husband and I feel completely comfortable during our engagement photo session, which by the way, is included when you book her as your wedding photographer, and the pictures from the actual wedding are so lovely. Punam really captures the love and happiness of your special day.

She will take lovely family portraits and then capture the most candid moments of the day. Our wedding pictures allow the memory of our day live on. Every time I look at them, I am back on the dance floor in my gown.

Book her immediately. It will be the best decision you will make.

Punam was really a fantastic photographer - especially being so young. She documented my wedding beautifully and captured my husband and I really wonderfully. She included an engagement session as part of our package and created a gorgeous wedding slideshow. We also had a "Photo Booth" at our wedding which was a big hit with the guests. Congratulations to her on running her business well and treating her clients so well!

Photography was our top priority, and we both knew that we wanted a photographer from the photojournalism school of wedding photography. In terms of the quality of Punam's photos, we couldn't have asked for more - she captured our day, both the sentiment and the actual details of our wedding, perfectly. She brought our wedding to life on film - or at least on our computer monitors.

Unfortunately, it took more than 6 months for Punam to mail us our DVD of all of our wedding photos - not even edited photos, but just the straight-out-of-the-camera proofs. It probably would have taken longer if I hadn't demanded the DVD after trying to ask nicely more than a couple of times. More than a year after our wedding, and despite the fact that our contract specifies that we are supposed to receive post-processed images, I've never received hi-res (printable) versions of the edited photos, and when I tried asking for them I was told that only the unedited proofs were available after one year (even though our contract made no mention of this). For digital photography, edited versions of photos are essential - so a DVD of unedited proofs leaves me feeling as though I still don't have my wedding photos.

So here's the deal - Punam is amazingly talented. I just wish she thought more of the fact that this is the bride and groom's wedding - not just her photography portfolio - and treated us a little better in that respect. If you're thinking about hiring Punam based on her photographic talent, that's fine, just don't make the same mistakes I did. Make sure it says in your contract that she will deliver your DVD of photos within a specified period of time and make sure it specifies the type of post-processing that she will do to the photos so that you have photos you can actually print and keep.

I can't say enough about the amazingly talented Punam Bean. Photography was our top priority, and we both knew that we wanted a photographer from the photojournalism school of wedding photography. We couldn't have been happier with the result, and Punam (and her lovely husband Andrew, who served as her assistant at our wedding) were a pleasure to work with - not only were they two of the nicest people you'll ever meet, but for most of the day I had no idea that Punam was even there taking pictures of us! Hiring Punam was one of the best wedding decision we made, and the results were so incredibly worth every single penny. Punam is just getting started in the wedding business, but she has such undeniable talent that you would think she's been doing this for decades. Book her quickly before her rates go up!
