QT Cakes

Susan was a wonderful vendor! From the beginning she returned emails quickly and allowed my mom and dad to meet with her in my place (since I live out of state) and they were able to sample the different flavors of cake she has. I sent pictures of what I wanted with detailed notes and she was great about working with me to get exactly what I had in mind! I was back in Sioux Falls a couple months after my parents did their sampling and when I contacted Susan to see if we could meet she invited me out to have my own cake tasting which I thought was very nice since she had already done one for my parents. Susan is very good at what she does and isn’t afraid to try new designs and step outside the traditional wedding cake look. She made a super cute cake for my wedding that was even more awesome than I had envisioned! I gave Susan a picture of a football cake I wanted to surprise my to-be husband with at the reception and she made it happen, it looked almost identical to the picture, he absolutely loved it! In addition to the cake we also had cupcakes which we received tons of compliments about and people actually ate the cupcakes so we did not have a bunch of left overs we had to take home. Susan brought the cakes and cupcakes out to our venue the day of the wedding and set everything up. I left some items on the table that I wanted to be around the cake and she was able to set those up to make the cake display look very elegant and romantic which is just how I had wanted it! Susan was great to work with, very open to ideas and definitely knows her stuff. She did a fabulous job, I am so glad we chose her to do our cakes/cupcakes for the wedding!!

QT cakes was great to work with! Susan helped me identify the look I was going for as well as different options that were available. Outside of a little mishap with the cake topper falling off and taking a small chunk out of the side...the cakes were great! Our amazing DJ, Jason Yoshino, happened to know we ordered our cake through QT cakes and he called Susan up right away to tell her about the issue. She rushed right over and did a great job of fixing the issue. Although the cake topper ended up sitting on the side of the cake rather than on the top, it turned out wonderful. We had a small cake for the bride and groom to cut and we had smaller cake center pieces on each table. Susan allowed me to pick 5 different cake flavors and styles. They were amazing! I can't wait for 9/10/12 so I can have some of the cake again! QT cakes is extremely affordable and delicious!

I LOVED our cake from QT cakes!! it was exactly what i expected and tasted amazing as well!! The only thing I wished was different was that a box was left for the tiered cake so we could take it home. We ended up having to take it home without anything to put it in. Everything else was absolutely amazing!

We gave Susan a picture of the wedding cake we liked. When our cake arrived at the venue it looked nothing like the picture!!! The detail of design looked very unprofessional. The lines weren't sharp. It didn't even look like it was made by a professional cake service. The color of the design wasn't the same. It was suppose to be grey and it was silver blue! Also there wasn't a lot of raspberry filling. We had many pieces of cake that had no filling. We thought our cake was going to look exactly like the picture and it didn't even come close. We were very disappointed with our wedding cake. Definitely did not get what we paid for.

We hired QT Cakes to make our wedding cake. The cake tasted great and was crafted well, but there were a couple of details that were not quite right. Since we paid so much money for the cake, I decided to let Susan know that. She was not having any of it. She got very angry, basically told us we were wrong, and went as far as to print off all of our email communications, highlight conversation points, and send them to my MOTHER. And may I add that many of the points she highlighted proved her wrong and me right. Very, very childish and unprofessional. Would NOT recommend if you want someone that’s easy-going and nice to work with. Definitely not impressed.

Is there an option for 10 stars? Susan recreated our cake from a photo we had and did a great job! And the cake flavors were amazing. Any request we had (key lime flavored groom's cake, it was very good and fresh fruit filling in one layer of our wedding cake) she stepped and was up for the challenge! Also very reasonibly priced as well. Thank you QT Cakes!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious...my only complaint was that there was some confusion in our communication, and I was hoping to get chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, which I asked for but was accidentally left out. All of our guests raved about the cake though, and I thought her prices were very reasonable when compared to other cake designers.

Susan was so much fun to work with!! She did an amazing job on our beach wedding cake! Looked wonderful and tasted even better!!! Great cake & great price, very creative!! She was very accomodating, met with her twice and phone calls back and forth before the big day, great to work with!!

We got the Red Velvet and Almond cake and it was delicious!! Service was great and the presentation was beautiful! Susan does an amazing job!! Lots of compliments on how moist and flavorful the cake was!!

Susan was great to work with! Very flexible and accomodating. She does amazing and fun work and has endless varieties of delicious cake and filling flavors to chose from. Not to mention, her pricing is very reasonable.

We live in Kansas and were trying to plan for our Sioux Falls wedding. I had heard many great things about QT Cakes and decided to set up a meeting on a weekend that we would be back. We had 3 cake meetings in one day and Susan was so easy to talk to, had great feedback, and by far the best value. On the day of our wedding we were so happy with our cake. I cannot count the number compliments we got on our cake. Many people said that it was the most beautiful wedding cake they had ever seen. It looked fantastic and tasted great (red velvet and devils food teirs with cream cheese filling covered in buttercream). I would absolutely recommend QT Cakes.

QT cakes provided us an affordable cake for our reception. The only flaw that I could see with QT cakes was that the cake was not delivered how it was supposed to be presented. The quality of taste made up for the quality of appearance.

QT cakes was great to work with. She offered samples on our first meeting, was flexible with payments and flexible with flavors/ideas. We ordered the Lemon cake with Raspberry filling and it was to die for! We didn't hear one complaint and guests commented on how great the cake was.

QT cakes is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I met with her once before the wedding and the cake turned our perfectly. It was my favorite part of the wedding. She was willing to try a new idea that I had and it was beautiful. Our venue was almost 2 hours away but we liked working with her so much, we knew she was the one to make our cake =) I recommend her 100%. Although you are supposed to save the top tier for one year after your wedding, we ate ours in less than a month after our wedding because it was so good!

I absolutely LOVED SUSAN! She was so sweet and just really fun to talk to. I only met with her once and I knew everything was undercontrol. I loved her cake the presentation was beautiful and just want we wanted! She was very professional and really conveyed excitement about doing this cake which made me very excited to see it and eat it. The only thing that I wish were different is that I ordered more cake. QT Cakes has to be one of the BEST wedding cake companies on the planet! I've ate wedding cakes all over the 5 state area and QT Cakes is always moist, light and has outstanding flavor to them. Some of her designs that I have seen should have her on Food Network someday! I don't know how Sue does it, but she is definitely one that knows how to make a cake!
