Quad City Trolley Company
Sure wish I would of read these ratings before having Quad City Trolley as our wedding transportation. The wedding party entered the trolley at 4:00 and at about 4:17 the left front tire blew. We were in the middle of the country side with no spare tire or way to change it even if they did have one. We finally told the driver that he needed to back the trolley off the main highway and onto a side road which he did. We then called a few people that had vans/SUV's and got the wedding party of 21 into vehicles...we continued on our journey leaving the trolley and driver at the site. We figured that within a couple days we would hear from the company with maybe a "hey we are sorry about the inconvenience...what can we do to make it right?" We waited till Monday before we ended up trying to reach them...took over a day and several phone calls before Randy called us back. He proceeded to tell us that we were over loaded by 10 people and that is what caused the tire to blow. We had 21 people total and all are average sized and many are very small people including a 4 year old. He then proceeded to tell us that we used the trolley for 40 minutes and that he would have to charge us for those 40 minutes. We loaded the trolley at 4:01 and I placed a phone call to the grooms mother at 4:19 to tell her that the trolley blew a tire. We were at the trolley waiting for rides until 4:40ish...what did they expect? We are seeking, and believe that it is only right to get a total refund. I would even expect something extra for such and inconvenience. This company is a scamming bunch of liars! Stay as far away from them as possible. WALK if you need to!
The only concern I had with the company was getting a hold of them when I had questions. I'd have to always leave a message and wait about a day to hear back. I began to worry after reading other people's reviews that I'd have trouble with them but they did show up on time! The trolley was a little on the rough side and should get a little TLC for the prices they charge but everyone loved riding in it!
We hired Quad City Trolley for our wedding, simply to drive around Davenport to take photos in between the ceremony and reception. We had a difficult time working out the contract as the company kept sending us the wrong information every time we asked and then we were told just to write in the details of our agreement, ie: pricing and times, and that they would not do that. I found it odd that they wouldnt want to write in the agreed upon pricing and times for us to sign. On the day of the wedding, the trolley was at the hotel on time, however, the air conditioning was not on and the trolley was not cool (it was a very hot day) and the ipod player did not work. Eventually the driver got the music and air conditioning working for us, but it took about 1/2 way through the trip before that happened. Also, I received a call the morning of my wedding from the company to confirm where to meet us and the time. I was a little surprised given that I had a wedding coordinator who had been in touch with them and had hoped that all vendors would call her and not the bride on her wedding day. Overall, they were a good value for what we used them for, but I felt they were a bit unprofessional overall.
Terrible company. Don't use them!
This limo bus they sent for our wedding was dirty, seats were torn, the air conditioning did not work and the driver was rude. Shuttling guests to the hotel took longer than our contracted time (by fifteen minutes) the driver insisted we pay him cash for the overtime before he would take us (the bride and groom) back to the hotel. Completely unprofessional!
This was the only disappointing part of our day.
Our party bus arrived 30 minutes earlier than initially expected, which was nice because it was there when we needed it and it took some of the pressure off. However, the driver was BRAND NEW and once our cooler of drinks and three of my WP people got on, he closed the doors and could not figure out how to open them. It was a stressful 10 minutes while he called his boss and part of my wedding party was locked ON THE BUS with drinks, and everyone else was locked OUT with no drinks in 98 degree temperatures. My WP is amazing and everyone stayed in good spirits, but wow, that was a bit of a hiccup on my day! Once he got that sorted out, we had a blast. The driver was friendly and went wherever my photographer told him to. The doors did get "stuck" a few more times, but never again did it take a prolonged period of time to get them open. I think Quad City Trolley needs to have a bit better maintenance on their buses! But, it got the job done and my friends had SO MUCH FUN, so that's really all that matters. :)
My husband and I hired this company for our post wedding trasnportation. The bus arrived on time, but was not what the picture online showed. The bus was very dirty and looked old and a little run down. The inside was just at disapointing as the outside. The seats were worn and torn in some places and the air conditioner at the back of the bus was leaking. We had to use one of our own coolers to catch the fluid that was coming out of the airconditoner. The air obvioulsy didnt work and it being a June wedding that was a problem. The driver had no knowledge of the Davenport area and was unable to get us from point A to B without us giving him turn by turn directions. This took away from the celebration of our wedding becuase we were worried about getting lost or behind schedule due to the driver. My husband and I contacted the owner the monday after our wedding to discuss the issues we had with his company and to see what could be done about them. We were told that a refund was possible and that the owner would take care of it. It is now almost six months later and still no refund to speak of. We have called him multiple times and he tells that he is not in his office and will have to look into the issue, but we should expect a refund. I would stay as far away from this company for your wedding. This was the only thing that put a damper on our day. I really wish he would be a good business man and stand behind his products and services.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY!
We hired them to shuttle our guests from the wedding to the reception, which was just down a large hill. They were supposed to be there 15 minutes prior to the end of the ceremony (just to be safe!) They showed up 30 MINUTES LATE. We had to have our ushers shuttle elderly guests in a van. NO guests were left when they trolley got there. The wedding party was because we were still taking pictures.
The driver said he was "stuck in traffic." He said he would suggest a full refund to his company. BECAUSE WE PAID FOR A SERVICE WE DID NOT GET.
NOW ALMOST TWO MONTHS LATER- We leave messages with no return calls. I did speak with the owner one time and he hung up on me after he said "there are two sides to every story and you are obviously going to exaggerate for your benefit." He said the driver told him he was only five minutes late.
I have since talked with the drive who said he left this company DUE TO UNPAID WAGES.
THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE AND SHOULD BE FORCED TO CLOSE. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Both our driver and the main contact were very unpleasant to deal with. First, the 24 person bus, barely fit 19. The driver didnt have the best sense of direction and headed in the wrong direction until our photographer had to get in front and lead. so we lost about 20-30 minutes of picture time after our wedding. The driver also thought she was driving for nascar and took corners way too fast. Afterward when talking to the main contact(it took over a week to reply)he became quite rude and constantly interrupted while i tried to explain what had happened. He then just said "Have a nice day" and hung up in the middle of the conversation.
Do NOT bother with these people! No work ethic. No people skills. You will not get you moneys worth!
This company from pictures and from the website were awesome. The pictures of the trolley was awesome. Randy through email seemed fine but when dealing with my mom on the phone he was rude and short with her. The trolley we received was falling apart. I was scared that a piece was going to hit me in the head. The buss driver was very nice and had fun with us. The cost for this trolley was very expensive for what we got. If we would have gotten the trolley in the picture I would have been than happy to pay the cost but instead we got an old wagon.
I hate that I was recommended to this company. In fact I even had the owner send me pictures of the trolley that I would using that day. Not really responsive or pleasant on the phone when I called with just a couple of questions.
From the pictures it looked amazing. My mother saw them at a bridal show and was happy with what she saw. She did ask if it will be cleaned out on the day of the wedding. Randy assured her that they scrub and clean the trolleys out that day.
I received a call 2 days prior to my wedding stating that I would have a different trolley, but it is exactly the same as the one that I was going to use only difference was that it didn't have a stereo system, I said no problem as long as it is the same. He (Randy) proceeded to ask what was my husband's name as it will be on the front of the trolley. I then told him what the times were as I had sent them a week prior to the wedding, he had the wrong times written down and had not transferred it, but he would.
The day of my wedding the trolley was 40 mins late to picking us up at the church. 2 people had called twice to see where they were.
The trolley pulled up, rusted, paint chipping off, and no names on the outside. The inside was grimy, dusty, windows were rickety. I had to have several people help me pick up my dress to make sure it wouldn't get dirty.
His response to use as to why he was 40 -45 mins late was that, his driver never showed up and he had to be called from his house to come and pick up the trolley and come get us. So, never was cleaned and never had the names on the outside.
We did ask for a refund as we paid for an hour and a half. We only received 30 mins. When asked to have half a refund, Randy became indignant with my mother and coordinator, who I had authorized to handle it as we were taking off on our honeymoon. He refused to talk to her and finally after all was said and done we were refunded half of what was paid. It took two weeks to receive the refund.
Unfortunately I can not recommend this company for transportation
