Beautiful venue for both our wedding and reception. The park rangers were very nice and accommodating. Everything was perfect, even the weather!

I had a great experience with the staff, the place was clean, they did what we wanted, it was just beautiful. This is a great deal. We barely used any decorations because the lodge is so nice and the windows are so big, there didn't seem to be a point. Only complaint is that the women's bathroom where I was getting ready wasn't air conditioned very well and I was slightly sweaty before the reception.

Beautiful place! The park rangers were very easy to work with and willing to come back to give us more chairs.

We looked at several different park-like venues but fell in love with this one. The lodge was perfect in case of bad weather. There are some restrictions on alcohol and how you can decorate but really it wasn't a deterrent at all. The rangers were super nice and helpful they even had little floor plans that they'd made of all the weddings they'd seen done at the lodge to help with our planning. We rented it for 2 days which was helpful so we didn't have to hurry up and clean the night of our wedding. We went in the next day, opened gifts, and cleaned up. I highly recommend doing that and for the price per day, it's worth it. Book extremely early if you're getting married during peak season though because they fill up fast!

This is a really nice place to have a wedding if you are trying to save some money. We did have to do our own set up and tear down but by not being forced to use a certain caterer or florist as I found with some reception halls we saved quite a bit of money. However, there is no hard liquor allowed because it is a state park. Also, you have to book the whole day even if you don't need it but it was only 650 for the whole day so not too bad. We were married outside on the deck and it was great but in case of bad weather there is plenty of room inside also.

Ceremony & Reception Site: I fell in love with the Quail Ridge Lodge the first time I saw it. It is just breathtaking, and honestly, pictures don't do it justice. Even though the location was kind of far from where we/our family live in St. Louis (almost an hour) I just had to have it here. We actually picked our wedding date around its availability (it books up about 2 years in advance, and we only wanted a 6 month engagement, so we literally had about 1 day, a Sunday, that would work). The rental fee is super reasonable and you get it from 9am-11pm, and you get to bring in your own caterer, DJ, etc so you can bargain shop there also. Additionally, you get to bring in your own beer & wine ,which saves a bunch of money. Hard liquor is not allowed there though, so keep that in mind. We did a champagne punch for the non-beer, non-wine crowd and everyone was happy. Glass beer/wine bottles didn't used to be allowed, but that rule changed a few months ago, so that made everything much easier. There are also restrictions about decorations (ie no tape, etc.) but I think those are pretty standard. Keep in mind that you do have to be all cleaned up before 11pm, so this is not the place if you want an all-night party (we were on a Sunday and out by 10pm, so didn’t matter to us). There is no “staff” on-site while you are there, so be sure you have a DOC or friend/family member ‘in charge’ to direct your vendors, etc. Overall, I loved the place and didn’t have any problems.
Really I have nothing but raves for the venue, the office staff and rangers were helpful anytime I had a question. Everything was perfect on our day. It was too cold to do an outside ceremony, but there is a beautiful gazebo for that purpose. However, you are not allowed to take the venue’s chairs outside, so you will need to rent from a vendor for outdoor ceremonies. With the entire front wall of the lodge being windows, even indoor ceremonies look like they are almost outside!

Quail Ridge is a beautfiul location and was just perfect for our wedding. The only issue is that it is a public county park and there are certain restrictions.

Beautiful place for the dollar! A little difficult to work within the restrictions, but overall totally worth it. Don't plan to have more than about 160 people or it gets too crowded for dancing!

This was a wonderfull place to have my wedding and reception in one place. I didn't have any problems.

The wedding can be outside at the gazebo or inside the lodge. We decided outside and it was more beautiful than I could have imagined! The park rangers were very nice and helpful too.
After having a beautiful wedding outside, we moved the reception inside the lodge. It has a gorgeous view, especially of the sunset. There was plenty of room for for about 150 guests. Everyone was commenting on how beautiful it was.
