They're food was excellent and it was hard to tell that it was a buffet style meal.
They're event staff were incredible. We held the wedding at a private residence and only had about 75 people there. We knew that our wedding was on the small size scale for a company of their size. This could've easily led to a situation where that attitude could've filtered down to the staff who worked our wedding. Their staff treated our wedding like it was their own. They were professional, they worked extremely hard, and followed our itinerary wishes to the "T". In fact , they even thought of things that I didn't even consider in our itinerary. They thought to make us (the groom and bride) a plate of food first before anyone got to eat. What I was impressed with is that they didn't simply tell us to go to the buffet first, they actually made a plate for each one of us and handed it to us. They then waited until we were seated and then let the guests eat. The wedding was such a whirlwind that we probably would not have eaten if not for them. We are so thankful for their thoughtfulness. Several people (including the owner of the house) commented what hard workers the staff were. We weren't able to get the rest of the names of the staff but please don't take that as a sign that they weren't wonderful also. They picked up plates and cups off of tables as soon as our guests were done with them. Many guests commented that they were right there when things needed to be removed.

I will highly recommend R&R catering to anyone that asks. The reason why is that I firmly believe that their on-site catering staff's attitude came from the company's attitude and culture. It is apparent that high expectations and excellent customer service is standard for their company and not something to simply strive for.

I was very happy with the services R&R Catering provided for my wedding. During the planning process, the event designers were quick to return emails and answer questions. Shortly before finalizing our menu, we attended a large tasting event held by R&R at two local venues- this was a great way to test out options that we hadn't tried at our private tasting. I was impressed with the number of menu choices, and was very happy with the food on the big day! We had R&R provide the premium open bar as well, which turned out to be a good value for us, as compared to friends who chose to purchase their own alcohol.

R&R Catering wow.... where do I begin? I had the pleasure of working with the Owner Michelle, and one of her team members Solange and words just can not explain how they helped make my wedding day super special and a wedding my guest would remember forever! The food was PHENOMENAL and super unique, and delicious!!! We had a Brunch/Lunch menu and we had an omelet station.... how cool! R&R can recreate anything, your mind can imagine! Visit their website, and you just get a small taste of what they can offer, you don't have to worry about staying in a "little box" so many colors to choose from on linens, and plates, cups, etc the list is never ending. Michelle's team is with you ever step of the way, and offers assistance however you need. I really liked how Solange came with us to the walk through at the venue, to see how to set things up from tables, and the perfect arrangement to suit our guest appropriately. The tasting is a must!!!! :) I appreciated the flexiable times I was given to work with, and how they were so willing to help me out! Most importantly, R&R listens to what you picture your day looking like, and does everything to make your dreams become reality! I would use them again, for another event in my future! and my sister is using R&R for her wedding in September and I am so excited!

We had a great experience with R&R Catering. Natalie was our primary contact and she was super helpful and responsive. I was planning a DC wedding from Chicago and then from San Diego. I was only able to meet her once in person for a tasting. She helped us pick all our food and then the linens in one trip.
She was very organized and kept up with all my requests.

The food was great! We really enjoyed all the menu choices. They also made a specialty drink for us with no extra charge. The staff during the reception was super helpful and paid close attention to any of our requests.

I would highly recommend R&R catering for their quality, service, and value. They fit all my needs and budgetary concerns.

We couldn't have been happier with our wedding caterer! We worked with event designer Rachael Lincoln to put together our menu, and she worked with our budget to make sure we were able to have everything we wanted at our cocktail hour and dinner. Rachael responded quickly to all of our emails, and made sure that she had fully answered each of our (many!) questions. At the wedding, Liliana was our catering manager. She brought us hors d'oeuvres during family photos, and made sure that we got to eat at dinner. R&R Catering also handled our bar (though we supplied the alcohol), and guests remarked to us that they had never before experienced such a well-run wedding bar.

On top of the fantastic service, R&R Catering's food is phenomenal. We had so many compliments from happy guests. At the the end of the night, catering staff even sent us home with...

I was nauseated researching the prices of wedding catering in DC, but R&R was FANTASTIC. It was by far the best value I found for that level of food and service. It was significantly under $100/head, including everything (waiters, linens, renting some tables, all the food, beer & wine), and I probably could've done it even cheaper if I didn't like such fancy linens. Everyone was incredibly professional, helpful, friendly, flexible, just everything I could ask. We worked with Rachael and she was FABULOUS - very well organized but also artistic, willing to make suggestions when we wanted, always deferential to us when we had a clear vision. I had an idea for an unusual dessert that they totally got on board with and made happen, they let us order an item or two off the normal wedding menu, they threw in a free champagne toast. It was by far the most expensive meal of our lives, but we were thrilled with how everything came out. We had zero worries or stresses and tons of compliments!

Worth every penny...the food was awesome---must try the mac and cheese. Dianna was on top of everything! I was so impressed with how everything came together so easily. From the first time we met to right before the wedding, I was just so happy with our choice. If something went wrong, either I knew nothing about it or it was so minor that I simply just do not remember. I would absolutely use R&R again!

The food was delicious and all my guest complimented how delicious everything was! The service was fantastic and everybody was so helpful. I would recommend R&R for any type of event! They have such a wide variety of food for anybody's budget.

R&R Catering exceeded our expectations. Our event designer changed three months before our wedding date. Could have been a major problem but Martha stepped in and was amazing. She was quick to get back to me, answered all our questions, and helped ease any worries I had. The food was fantastic; many guests said that it was the best wedding food they had ever had at a wedding. Beth and her staff catered to all of our needs at the wedding and our guests complimented the high level of service and kindness of the wait staff.

R & R catered my son's rehearsal dinner at Bull Run Golf Club. I worked with Martha during the planning stages and Beth was the head caterer the evening of the event. Everything went off without a hitch. We had three vegan guests and their meals were delivered to their seats and were delishious. All of our guests commented on how good the food and service was. Our wedding venue gave us two options for caterers. This actually made planning much easier. We were so happy we chose R&R Catering. The linens and china provided were beautiful and matched the theme we were going for. All of our guest raved about the food and we were thrilled with the outcome.

It was also great that we were able to purchase our own beer, wine and sodas to save some money. They were willing to work with us to figure out how to fit our budget and provide a really great meal to our guests.

R & R catering was superb on on our wedding day. They were on time, hands on, and helped set up everything. When it came to the wedding set up, they went right to business and helped set up everything, including moving the chairs from the ceremony back into the house for the reception. Dianna, our coordinator, was fabulous. Now to the best part, the food was amazing. All of our guests kept commenting on how delicious everything was and how everything was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better catering team and are so thankful we found them for our wedding day.

The staff at R&R is more than I could have hoped for. My husband and I worked with Martha who was extremely responsive, I highly recommend her. We started with a very loose idea of what we wanted and she guides us with her expertise to a more solid plan. She even made recommendations for a company that could help us with chair covers. The food was a huge hit from our tasting to the wedding night. The staff helped even with stuff that was not their responsiblity like the chairs for the ceremony. We choose to have a sweetheart table and the staff brought us everything even though we had a buffet style reception.

I couldn't have been more happy with the service I received from R&R. From the initial consultation with Anne, to the actual day off, you could tell that the staff genuinely likes what they do. I had a lot of questions and made a few changes to the original package and Anne was so accommodating! It was like working with someone I had known a long time even though we only met in person once. Top notch quality all the way! And the food was AMAZING, people are still telling me how good it was!

We went to a couple different caterers in the DC area before we decided on R&R. Dianna was so helpful and went above and beyond as I changed my mind on linens multiple times. She and her team were friendly and professional at my reception. People loved the food! Dianna really worked with me to create my dream wedding. It was perfect!

Natalie Seng, Event Designer, R&R Catering helped us pull together such a perfect wedding day -- with only two weeks notice!! We held the wedding on a Monday, and that helped tremendously with availability.

The personalized attention that Natalie provided was exceptional. After actively learning about our tastes and hopes for our wedding day, she offered a multitude of suggestions that were right on. She always kept the big picture in mind and supported our preferences every step of the way. She tirelessly worked round the clock assisting us with everything from cupcakes, decorations and set up, to place cards and table numbers, flowers and games for the kid's table, to tent rentals. For the tent, she even compared 3 companies - and worked with the preferred vendor (Sugarplum Tent Company) to procure exactly the right options that met our budget. For the cupcakes, she worked with Sweet Ladies Bakery to apply the frosting so that it looked like flower petals. She was always one step ahead of me, guiding me for the next decisions that needed to be made. As a unique bonus, her mother, who was in town visiting, joined Natalie, my family and our host in the set up and decorating the day before!!

The food was delicious and was carefully considered and adapted for an event outside in July in Arlington, Virginia. We had the ceremony and reception in one location at a private home. R&R provided iced water and coffee to welcome guests arriving for the morning ceremony. Light refreshments were served immediately following the ceremony and prior to the seated lunch buffet.

We have received nothing but compliments from all our guests - it was the perfect wedding day - and it was perfectly us!!!

I have nothing but positive comments for R&R catering. We worked with Martha, who is fabulous. She and her staff truly know what they are doing and are very professional and down-to-earth. Martha was always there to listen, make suggestions, and give insight when we were making our decisions. She even personally helped fold my napkins in the way that I wanted them! That is serious service.

Aside from the excellent service, the food was spectacular. Everyone raved about it after the wedding. I made sure someone packed my husband and I a box for later that night, and we were definitely hungry and satisfied to have some leftovers of our meal. This food is worth it!

Lastly, even though Martha couldn't be there on the day of the wedding, the staff she provided was quick and attentive to my needs. They saved some snacks from cocktail hour for me and my groom, and served as our personal waiters and waitresses if we needed water or anything else. That was a really nice service since the bride and groom normally don't get to eat. They truly looked out for us.

I would recommend R&R to anyone!

Jenn and Team did a wonderful job catering for our daughter's wedding. The food was excellent and our guests enjoyed themselves. I will highly recommend them to others and will use them again for future events. Bull Run Golf Club did an excellent job as well by providing an awesome facility to host our event. The food was fantastic, but paled in comparison to the service. They were very attentive to my husband and I and made sure we got to eat (which was more of a challenge than we had expected!) In addition to just being generally awesome, they really went out of their way to make sure my day was perfect. For example, when my husband stepped on my dress and broke my bustle, Natalie was right behind me with a pin they use for their table clothes and fixed my dress right up! I would 100% recommend the R&R team and Natalie specifically to any bride in the market for a caterer!

We absolutely loved working with R&R. Anne and Jenn helped us, and they were both wonderful. The food was delicious. We did a buffet and the servers got everyone through the line quickly (after they served the bride and groom first so we actually got to eat while everyone else was going through the buffet line!). They were very flexible - we provided our own beer and wine, as well as a variety of desserts that they served. We highly recommend them!

R&R Catering went above and beyond all our expectations. They are very friendly and reliable, and they're food is REALLY good! I cannot tell you how many people from the wedding came up to me and told me how wonderful the food was. Anne Portell is such a wonderful person and is very quick and responsive to any questions or concerns that you may have throughout the planning process. I could not recommend them any more highly, they are hands down the best catering company in the NOVA and surrounding areas!

R&R Catering did a fabulous job for my daughter's wedding! We worked with Jenn and she was a pleasure to work with and was extremely accommodating. They truly did a great job and the food was delicious. The wedding guests are still talking about how wonderful it was.

We had an amazing experience with R&R catering from the first meeting until the end of the wedding. When we first met with Natalie our event designer she made sure she knew everything about my vision of my wedding and how I wanted the reception to go. We went to a couple tastings that R&R had around the area which I really recommend. These were very helpful because for a minimal cost you got to sample full on courses offered on their menu to choose or rule out food options. At our tasting/design meeting everything we thought of came to light and we got really excited about the reception as we got to see samples of the table design right then and there.

For the wedding; the staff and manager were amazing and we couldn't have been more pleased. Unfortunately we got married on a hot day, but the staff were so attentive and brought us water and other drinks and food while we were taking pictures, they were very diligent. During dinner they were so efficient that I hardly even noticed them putting out the food on the buffet line. Not only this but they also were accommodating to people who couldn't move away to get drinks and would get them the drinks from the bar. All of the staff and manager were very very professional and did a wonderful job. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better reception, and R&R Catering made this happen.

Our original caterer cancelled on us at the last minute and R&R were very helpful at fixing the situation! Our rep Jenn was very responsive and went above and beyond to help us find a package that would fit in with our needs and budget. We did provide our own beer, wine and champagne, but we got a full service staff, three appetizers, linens, serviceware, and buffet with three sides two entrees for 150 people for under $10,000 (which is a VERY good deal in Northern VA). The staff were all very professional and polite, and everything went off without a hitch. They also brought our wedding party appetizers during our photos since we missed cocktail hour! I cannot say enough good things about this company. Actaully I'm almost glad our original caterer cancelled on us! If you're expecting a really fancy 5-star dining experience, you'll probably be disappointed, but the food is really good and there's a lot of variety on the menu. They are the official caterer of the Redskins if that tells you anything about the quality. We loved working with this company. I would highly recomend them!

R&R Catering did an amazing job hosting our wedding and I would fully recommend them to anyone.

Like a lot of brides, I was in way over my head and no idea how to organize an event. But Martha Peterson did an amazing job walking us through the process and helping us think through all the details -- including ones I did not know existed! She always returned my emails and phone calls quickly and tracked down answers to all my millions of questions. Even when I asked a question I already had asked, she graciously told me again without making me feel stupid or like a burden for forgetting. She always made my husband and I feel at ease, and was so generous to help us figure out our floor plan and make decisions.

She far and away exceeded our expectations -- she even texted the staff supervisor from the ER (after cutting her leg in a boating incident) on our wedding to day to ensure the staff would bring the wedding party snacks during our photo shoot during the cocktail hour. These snacks (and wine) saved our lives! We didn't know how hungry we were until they came -- a sign of Martha's stellar attention to detail and empathy.

On the day of our wedding, the staff showed up half and hour early to ensure they had enough time to set everything up. They also made my husband and I feel like royalty -- serving us even though it was a buffet.

All the food was so delicious, and everyone was really excited about tex-mex. Even the quasi-vegans couldn't resist the temptation of the stuffed peppers. My favorite was the mango-jicama salad -- yum! More than one friend noted that wedding food is usually boring and bland, but what you all prepared was extra flavorful and they went back for two and even three servings of fajitas!

On top of all of this, R&R Catering worked to meet our rather tight budget so that we could have everything wanted.

Jenn did an absolutely amazing job! Our wedding reception was such a success due to her careful planning, kindness and genuine interest in our event! We would most definitely recommend Jenn and R&R Catering! We still get compliments on the food and set up and our wedding was three months go!

What can I say about the food and service I received from R&R Catering? It was all absolutely wonderful! I couldn't have asked for better. Anne was my Event Designer and I would highly recommend her! She was super friendly and easy to talk to and was very responsive to my questions and requests. She made planning the catering portion of my wedding so stress-free! I can also not say enough good things about my on-site supervisor, Norma. She was so warm and friendly and I honestly didn't have to worry about a thing at my wedding. She made sure I got enough food throughout the night and kept everything running so smoothly. I've had many people tell me how friendly and helpful she was! The entire staff that R&R provided was fantastic. Truly, I couldn't have asked for better service. And now on to the food - the crab cake appetizers and the crab and artichoke dip station are a must! I loved the dual entree approach that R&R uses and it was all delicious. I highly, highly recommend R&R Catering and, if possible, you should try to request to work with Anne and Norma. They were amazing!

Upon our first visit to a tasting event with R&R catering, we were in love. This is not your average, cookie cutter catering company. An avid fan of precision and attention to detail, and foodies with discernible palettes, we were not an easy sell. We believe food makes or breaks a social event, so we took our time selecting a caterer; well over 8 months. Our expectations were not simple: we wanted a company who could offer eclectic, down-home, yet classy menu options, a wide variety of fine linens, flatware, and settings, the service needed to be top notch- attentive, but not snotty, and we needed to trust that they would be able to manage the flow of our wedding without pause or issue. R&R met all of those demands; and the person who really sealed the deal for us was NATALIE. She's amazing and we recommend her wholeheartedly. A vibrate professional with a passion for details and a trove of creativity, Natalie's enthusiasm assured us that R&R was the company for our event. With her assistance and guidance, we were able to create the perfect melding of formality, without pretension, yet plenty of warmth. Our stations were interesting, not your normal carving station - we also opted for a flambe station that was a HUGE success. Our appetizers had our guests talking for weeks: spicy tomato bisque with grilled cheese with provolone and pesto, shrimp and grits served on modern mini plates, and jalapeno cornbread with chicken salad - our guests are still raving about it all! Perhaps the thing that made all the difference was the service - all the employees were attentive, and warm. The obviously enjoy working for the company as much as we enjoyed having them handle our affair. You can't go wrong with R&R. They can do just about anything and you won't find a better quality caterer in the DMV area. Ask for Natalie - she's a joy to work with and will genuinely invest in your event. We can't wait to work with R&R in the near future for upcoming birthday's and holiday events - did I mention that they have an amazing BBQ menu?! I highly recommend this company and I will be working with them again in the near future.

We worked with Rachael Lincoln for our wedding in DC on October 29th. We chose R&R Catering about 7 months before our wedding, and chose them because of their responsiveness to our inquiries, the good reviews we read about them, and quality of food when we went for the tasting.

Over the next few months as we locked down the menu and catering details, Rachael has been consistently responsive, professional and service-oriented. We had our initial walk-through in DC on the day of the earthquake, and although shaken, she was a trooper and continued the meeting. On the day of our event, she came over and stayed for a few hours to ensure that everything was running smoothly. The event designer does not always do this, but Rachael knew exactly what we wanted, where and when, and having her there was extra insurance that everything would go well.

Overall, we are extremely satisfied and happy with our experience with R&R. The food was delicious (our guests are still raving about it), the service was attentive and professional, and the cleanup job excellent.

Our day-of captain, Norma, was also fabulous. She reacted quickly when we discovered an issue with some missing wine and was also diligent in ensuring that the bridal party had enough food and beverages. She also did a good job keeping us well-informed and well-fed.

For the quality of the menu and service we got, we thought it was a good deal. We did our reception buffet-style. Rachael knew we wanted some Asian food and seafood, so we had sushi and crab cake as part of our appetizers and also incorporated Asian London broil - our guests LOVED the beef. Tender, juicy and cooked perfectly.

We would highly recommend R&R Catering, and especially Rachael and Norma, to anyone.

Loved working with R&R Catering, from our Tasting with them, we decided to hire them for our Wedding. The Food was delicious and hot. When your wedding guests go back for seconds, you know that the food is very tasty. our Wait Staff and Bartender were wonderful, they were around but you never felt they were in the way. Our Supervisor for the day was so excredibly wonderful, was very organized. She even made my groom and me a plate of food for out Table. It was so wonderful to go to our Table to find a plate for each of us waiting. I would not have eaten as much as I did had she not taken care of us. Once I started eating, it was very easy to almost clean my plate. Food was that good!!!! I would recommend them; and have. We will most likely use them for a Company Function because the food was so tasty. Thank you R&R!!!

We were referred to R&R because we got married at Breaux Vineyards and they are the preferred vendor there. Not knowing anything about the caters in the area, we didn't know how to feel about that but after all was said and done, R&R was amazing.

We worked with Natalie Seng. Natalie was responsive, professional and very friendly throughout our entire experience. She worked with us to set up the perfect menu for our time of year and wedding theme and did everything it took to make us feel comfortable that she had all our needs covered. She and her staff were amazing.

The food is wonderful. We had a dual plating of sea bass and sirloin and everyone loved it. Some actually thought the sirloin was filet mignon because it was so tender. The hors d'oeuvres were amazing and friends still ask us to call R&R for their recipes.

While we were taking pictures, they had staff members serve the bridal party snacks and drinks because we couldn't be at the cocktail hour. We were really impressed.

DO NOT judge them on their mass tastings. On the day of the event, they step up their game big time and some of the issues we had with the tastings (food gets cold or dry) never happened. Highly recommended!

Anne and Anita made working with R&R easy. I was very happy with the service and food I received for my wedding buffet. I must admit that their day of performance and private tastings are better than any of the large tastings we went to. My guests loved their food and asked me over and over who were the caterers. I found their prices very fair and reasonable and they threw in all sorts of upgrades without even asking. I would definitely recommend them in the future!

R&R was recommended to us from a family member who had used them before.
We had to act fast as we were running out of time, and we were so happy with how fast everything went (from proposals to tastings). We previously had bad experiences with tastings and even responsivness from other companies. R&R made everything so easy, they put on an excellent (private) tasting, the presentation, taste and price were what we were looking for-we were thrilled to finally find a company who had it all! (We had to not only find a caterer, but someone who could provide chairs, tables etc as our venue had nothing.)

We worked with Dianna Gilbert and her assistant Nicholle, they were very responsive and patient as we made many changes to our contract, and had many questions in general. Dianna was able to provide us an inital diagram for our reception which was spot on to what we wanted.

R&R Catering provided sensational food for our wedding. The wait staff was great too. Everything was on time, well prepared, and well presented. Anne was the R&R event planner for us and she helped up right up to wedding day. We are still getting complements for the food that was served. The abundance of options for food was above par. R&R Catering was wonderful!

The People: We worked with Rachael as our Event Designer and Trish was our Wedding Day Supervisor. Both of these women were EXCELLENT. All the staff on the actual day were friendly and did their jobs well. When we asked them to stay an extra hour, everyone was good to go.

The Food: The food was SO GOOD!! Everyone really enjoyed dinner and we barely had any leftovers. I knew that the food was going to be pretty good -- but with a buffet, sometimes the food is iffy -- not so with R&R. Our buffet was wonderful and all our guests told us how much they enjoyed the food. The Steak Au Poivre is really excellent and got the best ratings from our guests.

The Tasting: The tastings are done out of their Springfield headquarters. It was really relaxed and fun. Come hungry; they don't just serve you teeny portions of everything, they serve you a giant portion so you can really see what your guests will be getting. We had a great time at the tasting and enjoyed everything.

Overall Professionalism: We found R&R to be extremely professional and reliable. Everyone showed up on time and did what they said they would do. Early on in the process, there was a mistake in the contract that we had already signed. R&R fixed the mistake on their dime and made sure that we were taken care of.

Great company, great people, great food! We are so glad we hired R&R for our wedding.

I am writing this review to ensure people know of the high quality, professional care and touch we received while using these caterers. From the beginning Rachel Lincoln (our event designer)and Trish Grant (our supervisor for the day)worked with us tirelessly and without fail to see our vision of a perfect reception for our wedding fulfilled. We used R&R catering for our wedding on May 1st at Rock Hill Plantation in Stafford VA and they were amazing! We worked with Anne and Claudia! They were very responsive, the food was wonderful and their whole staff was amazing! They were all great to work with and the food was worth every penny! The staff were friendly and very helpful. They offered advice and assistance from choosing menu choices and linens to setting up the entire reception area on the wedding day. The food was spectacular and they made sure to attend to the bride and groom during the reception as well as pack up any leftovers at the end.

R&R Catering was THE stand-out vendor of our wedding! They were professional, pleasant, efficient, and provided great food! The atmosphere they created (with linens, table settings, etc.) was elegant and lovely, and the staff was so nice! I was always amazed at how they could re-fold my husband's and my linen napkins if we moved from our table for an instant - and we never saw them do it!!

All of our guests were pleased with the food and service, and the bartender even helped with our photo guestbook (which was set up right next to the bar). R&R was able to accommodate our vegan bridesmaid along with our many guests with milk/ dairy/ gluten allergies, AND all of us who love to eat meat. It was no mean feat!

Additionally, Anita (our event supervisor) was so helpful when other things weren't going right (such as asking our DJ to play music when it was silent, etc.) - I knew anything they could help with, they would, and I didn't have to worry about it.

I also loved that, before returning our personal champagne toasting glasses, they were washed and put neatly back into the packaging they came in to keep them safe for us.

R&R went above and beyond our expectations - we were told that they were the top in the area and that their attention to detail was exceptional - but I couldn't believe how exceptional they were. I would use them again for another event in a heartbeat, and recommend them without reservation.

We loved R&R. We were trying to provide our guests with a reception that was nice, with good food without breaking our budget. After receiving really high quotes from other vendors, we were relieved to get R&R's quote that fell within our budget. Rachael was our liaison and was there every step of the way. They gave us a full tasting (we weren't expecting a full meal for our tasting!), and allowed us to make changes to our quote to fit with our tastes. Since R&R had never worked with our reception venue, she even met me at the location (over an hour a way) and walked through my desired set up. She also came on the day of the wedding to be sure that everything got set up the way it was supposed to be, even though that fell outside her required job duties. We received great compliments on the food and the service (we chose a buffet style set up, but the staff helped clear table and fill water glasses). We would definitely use R&R catering again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a vendor!

Heidi Harrington and her team at R&R completed our perfect wedding day! I have previously worked with R&R (as well as many other caterers in the area) at a venue I used to work at, and wouldn't have chosen any other caterer. Before I was even engaged, I knew we would work with Heidi at R&R. Their food is delicious, service is outstanding, and their presentation is over the top. Several of our guests commented on how delicious the food was ("not your typical wedding food"). They also commented that it was the was most beautiful wedding reception they'd ever been to, and that is all thanks to Heidi and her team. EXCELLENT!! We had Natalie as our contact and she was the best, extremely helpful and very friendly! We heard so many good reviews about R&R that we did not even do a tasting, and we didn't need to-the food was OUTSTANDING! I had several people tell me that it was the best wedding foor they had ever had! Beautiful presentation as well! Highly recomended! They also allow you to purchase your own beer, wine, and soft drinks, which saves a whole lot of money if you go to costco and buy them!

R&R Catering was very professional to work with and their food was exceptional for the cost. We had decided that we would pay less money for the food and more on other things for the wedding, so we weren't expecting a fantastic meal. However, the food was terrific! All the guests kept complimenting us on the food and no one went home hungry. There was one meeting we had with our R&R rep that she was late for, as she thought the meeting was scheduled for later in the day Due the mix-up, we were given free coffee service and a linen upgrade. Neither of these were necessary, but they gave them to us just to ensure we continued to be fully satisfied. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends.

Wow. Simply Wow. Laura Ritchie, our event designer, the chefs, the wait staff, everyone at R & R are fantastic. From the first time we talked with R & R, after hearing and reading so many wonderful reviews, we wondered if they could really be that good for the price. They are!

We are a bit of food snobs, and pretty picky. So we went into this with high standards we hoped to have met. They did not disappoint; they exceeded.

We have a bit of experience with R & R. We had the engagement party, the wedding reception and the Sunday Wedding brunch all catered by them. Each event was fantastic --- food, service and price.

Laura Ritchie helped us plan all the events. She was incredible throughout the entire process. We did not know exactly what we wanted and changed our minds constantly. She never lost her patience with us - ever. She was always cheerful and willing to accommodate any and all changes.

The result - 3 events that our guests raved about. We had buffet service in our home for the engagement party and for the Sunday Wedding brunch. The food was so great, people kept coming back for seconds and thirds! The service was everything we hoped for - doing everything that needed done without being told. We were guests in our own home. Perfect.

The wedding dinner was a plated, sit-down affair. From the moment you walked into the tent (it was outside, under a tent) you knew it was going to be magical. Laura helped us design the most beautiful tables - the plates, the glasses, the napkins, tablecloths, even the coordinating chair cushions. She even helped us with the flowers. So many guests (and not just women) commented on how it was the most beautiful table setting they had ever seen.

The beauty of the tables was surpassed by the food. We chose a duo plate of filet beef and fish - it was superb. Everyone raved about it as well as the many appetizers that were passed before dinner. The service was impeccable. They had a team of waiters come out so everyone at the table was served at the same time. It was wonderful. They were all so professional ---- the pantry staff, the waiters, the bartenders, the supervisor and the fabulous chef, Luban.

We even had an old fashioned ice cream soda bar that was a huge hit in the hot weather.

Everyone was praising the entire event and the work that R & R did to set it up. As we chose a venue, River Farm, that requires everything be brought in - we relied totally on R & R, specifically Laura, to advise us on everything. We are so glad we did.

Laura suggested many ideas, but mostly she totally listened to our ideas. She made our vision come to life. She absolutely did not ever push higher price items on us but worked within our budget.

At the end of the process, we were talking about some extra seating on the lawn. Laura quietly suggested (did not push) an outdoor Living room - we went for it. What a cool idea that we never would have thought of and it was the hit of the evening. Some of the absolute best photos are on the outdoor sofa! Laura handled everything from the ordering to the best placement of the outdoor living room at River Farm.

It was Laura's unique ideas and her easy going cheerful manner that made the day and evening so completely magical and enchanting. We are so glad we selected R & R as our caterer.

Just 4 months ago I had R&R Catering cater my wedding. To this day, I continue to receive compliments on the food that was prepared. I geniunely don't know where to start in my praise of these caterers. The food was superb, the organization was top notch, and they served as excellent hostesses and coordinators. My day was perfect largely in part to them and their attention to detail and their kindess to their guests. They even brought back food plates for my older guests, which was greatly appreciated. Heidi Harrington was my coordinator and she was a dream to work with. Kind, friendly, and had amazing ideas. I wouldn't look any further for your caterer than these great folks.

Wow, what can I say about R&R? For starters, the food was delicious!! That is seriously one of the most common comments from our entire wedding... haha. Second of all, the set-up for our reception was gorgeous! The R&R staff took full control and made sure the entire place looked great. They did a fantastic job with little to no input from me! Finally, the staff was amazing! I seriously don't remember seeing them the entire night but somehow the food was served, cleared, and tables cleaned and all of our guests were fed and happy! Sign of a fantastic caterer. R&R seriously did everything a fantastic caterer should do! WELL worth their money!

On a more personal note, our event designer Claudia was an absolute god-send for our wedding. From the moment we started working with her on our catering plans she was professional, organized, excited and treated us as if we were her only clients the ENTIRE time! There were times where we felt like she was just as excited about our wedding day as we were, which was amazing! About 2 hours before the start of our wedding, several issues came up at our wedding venue that were far beyond our control and Claudia did everything in her power to make things right. The venue we used gave incorrect information on table numbers, chair numbers and didn't move pieces of furniture that they were supposed to move and Claudia managed to rearrange her entire layout/plan at the very last minute to make things work exactly as we had hoped. She handled the entire situation professionally but made sure issues were dealt with and that our wedding happened the way we had hoped it would. We could not have pulled off what we did (at the last minute that we did) without Claudia. She was amazing!

R&R Catering and our coordinator Dianna Gilbert did a great job catering our wedding. Dianna was incredibly responsive and helpful during the entire process and really worked with us to keep the costs within our budget.

They did a great job setting up the reception and making the last minute changes when we had to move everything from outside to the inside when it started raining right before the ceremony. They have a very extensive menu and the food at our tasting was wonderful. We are still getting compliments on the food from the wedding. Many people said that it tasted far better than the typical "wedding food" they normally get. While walking around to each table to say hello everyone had cleaned their plates and many had gone back for seconds! They even packed up the leftover food for us at the end of the night to take home and it still tasted great the next day after warming it up.

I would definitely recommend R&R Catering for any event and specifically Dianna Gilbert as a coordinator. They did a great job!

Anne, Norma and the rest of the staff at R & R Catering were amazing! The food was delicious and blew all my guests away. My officiant even said it was the best food he'd ever eaten at any wedding!! Heidi from R&R was one of the best vendors that I had the pleasure of dealing with for our wedding. She was always super responsive and made the process very easy. My husband and I recently got married and R&R did an amzing job setting up and working our event! The room turned out AMAZING!!! Dianna Gilbert was our event designer and she bent over backwards to make sure our day went smoothly and flawlessly! If there WERE any problems I had no idea they had occured :)
When it came time for dinner R&R even served my husband and I along with the bridal party so that we could make sure to eat. They also made up a take home doggy bags of food for us after the wedding. In the months leading up to the wedding, we worked with Laura Ritchie to design our menu and the look and feel of the reception. Laura is very professional, accommodating, knowledgeable and she has incredible style. She really helped us pull together the wedding of our dreams. She created a layout map of the reception site for all of our vendors to use, was in periodic contact with us to make sure we were on schedule and that nothing had changed, and did a walk-through of the reception site with us so that there wouldn’t be any surprises the day of the wedding. We really appreciated all of her attention to detail – we knew we would be in great hands.

The day of our wedding, the biggest snowstorm in the past 70 years hit DC.

We are proof of R&R’s incredible customer service. Despite two feet of snow and dangerous road conditions, R&R arrived at our reception site and had everything set up and looking beautiful for us and our guests. We heard after the fact that Laura and Norma even made a run to a nearby liquor store before cocktail hour when they heard that the truck with the alcohol got stuck in the snow. Despite all of the factors working against them, the food was DELICIOUS and everyone raved about dinner.

I can’t imagine how things would have turned out if it was not for Laura and Norma and their dedication to making our wedding happen. We know that many other caterers would have stayed home and sent the number to a pizza delivery company! We are so appreciative of everything R&R did for us!

We did an incredible amount of catering research and multiple tastings, so our decision to go with R&R was well-researched. And we were not disappointed. Our representative worked with us on everything. The food was amazing, and the portions were more than generous. We were thrilled with this choice!

I was very impressed with R&R Catering. I used them to cater my wedding in October. The food was AWESOME! Typically, wedding food is just so-so. Everyone at our event RAVED about how great the food was. The service, the presentation, the quality... it was all great. We worked with Nancy at R&R Catering for our vow renewal on 10.24.09 at Cabell's Mill. Nancy was great to work with and did a fantastic job helping me pull everything together. We used the items off their bbq menu and served Baby Back Ribs, Grilled Chicken, Vegetarian Baked Beans, Cucumber Tomato Salad, Red Bliss Potato Salad, rolls and had Black Bean Garden Burgers for our Vegetarian guests. We also served beer & wine as well as soda.

We got tons of compliments on the food! Everybody went for seconds or thirds! Also, the catering staff who worked our event was amazing. They were friendly, courteous. and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed (ie - food, drinks, etc).

Great food. Good price. Excellent service. They were the most organized and professional caterers that I have contacted. My event planner was Natalie. She was very down to earth and responsive. I had a million questions for her and she always had an answer. Natalie made sure all of our needs were accommodated and pulled off a very nice reception and layout....my guests truly enjoyed the experience. The staff on the day of was very professional and followed through with everything Natalie planned.

The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We got soooooo many compliments on the quality of the food. We had a traditional Iranian dish as one of our main entrees and that was better than we had all expected. After reviewing so many catering companies, we decided to sign on with R&R Catering after my husband and I went to one of their open houses (Freeeee!!!) It was amazing!! They also had other vendors for you to choose as far as music, cakes, dj, etc... Their food was delicious, their buffet was nicely set up and decorated, and the staff was the best.

Anne Portell with R&R Catering was wonderful to work with. She was on top of everything, responded quickly to emails and phone calls, and helped us with every decision. She worked with us on choosing our linens and how they worked with our color schemes. Anne provided excellent service and was such a pleasure to work with. On our wedding day..my favorite part was walking in to see the tables, linens, candles, buffet tables, etc. They turned out beautifully! I didn't have to worry about a thing..it was perfect and beyond what I even imagened. R&R Catering food was delicious. The menus were great and they were very flexible on choosing different items. This was the absolute best find ever! R&R did an INCREDIBLE job with the quality and presentation of the food, provided beautiful silk table cloths and napkins for every table we had! Dianna was absolutely fantastic with communication, advise, meetings, ideas, professionalism... just everything! People are still commenting on how great my food was and how it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! And the price is so incredibly affordable and realistic! R&R Catering had me at the first taste. I booked them immediately after going to one of their Open Houses and was continuously impressed by their professionalism, quality of food, and presentation. I specifically loved our coordinator, Laura Ritchie, for promptness in responding to e-mails, flexibility with last minute changes, and overall professionalism!

R&R did a wonderful job for my outdoor 175 guest wedding just outside of Annapolis. The service, the food, the bar, the overall design was perfect and exactly what I had envisioned! Laura Ritchie was my event designer and was absolutely awesome. She listened to my ideas and helped me turn them into reality all while keeping it in our budget. Laura also really knows what she was doing and was very informative when I had decisions to make. I would highly recommend R&R and Laura Ritchie- they did an exceptional job.

We were so happy with R&R! The food was great for the value and they give you plenty of chances to try different menu items before making your selections at both the private and public tastings. Take advantage of the public tastings, especially if they are at your venue, it's a good chance to see how everything can be displayed and set up.

Our event specialist was Natalie who was incredible, she responded to all of my questions so quickly and took care of everything for us!! She's so sweet and was so very professional and understanding. The event manager the day of, Rachel, was fantastic. My Dad accidently spilled water on the sweetheart table and she cleaned it up in about a mili-second. Our cake was tilting because of the heat (and I think our baker) and she fixed that without anyone noticing. They were just really great to work with and I had no worries knowing they were in control.

Points to ask about when doing your contract:
--They offer color linens (no patterns, just plain) for the same cost as the white linens, so if you want a pop of color without the extra expense, consider that.
--Report the number of children under the age of 9. Children 1 year old and under were free and there was a 25% discount for children 1-9years.
--Ask for your leftovers to be bagged up after the event. They can only bag up what would be considered safe, but this is helpful for either you and your husband or wife to take the night of if you don't get a chance to eat or for family to eat the next day since they'll likely be exhausted too.

One thing everyone said at my wedding, “The food is fabulous!”. Which it was! Working with R&R Catering was fun and easy and the results were tremendous. Most guests went for seconds and even thirds. We used R&R Catering for our rehearsal dinner and the food was amazing. Natalie was very easy to work with and helpful in making selections. I can't recomend R&R highly enough.

Heidi was our coordinator and she was great. We started this process very early because we live in Florida and she was helpful whenever I needed her. She has a great personality and was professional the whole way through. R&R also provided great food that everyone was happy with. The one thing I will say (and everyone makes mistakes) is that one of the bartenders broke a bottle of red wine on the carpet and did not tell anyone! However, Heidi helped us take care of that. R and R Catering did a wonderful job!! We had 150 guests at a very high end museum in Washington D.C. Everybody loved the food! We had Filet and Sea Bass for the main course. The bar they created was outstanding! We had a 10 foot serpintine bar with 4 bartenders.

They were very easy to work with and helped us with everything along the way. We did interview/and did a tasting with one of the more known caterers in D.C but liked R&R better!

R&R did a great job with our April 4th wedding at Raspberry Plain. Everyone is still talking about the food, the desserts, the champagne, etc. Dianna, who we worked with, was always quick to respond to any e-mails and questions that we had. She was even able to supply us with extra staff to help do a full turnover from ceremony to reception on short notice. On our wedding day there were 60mph wind gusts so we had to have it indoors. The only bad thing was that my new husband and I were so busy talking to our guests and getting our pictures taken that we didn't eat much of the food. What we ate was wonderful and like I said, our guests are still talking about it. Thanks again to all of you at R&R for doing such a great job! =)

Absolute top notch! Laura Ritchie was our event designer and was simply wonderful to work with. I highly recommend going to their public tastings to get a sense of what they can do. The food at the reception was fantastic, the staff were all wonderful and gave me and my hubby personalized attention - they brought appetizers and drinks out to where we were having photos and always made sure we were happy and had what we needed during the reception. We did a mini- themed cocktail hour and our guests LOVED it. We are still getting compliments on it, and everyone raved about the dinner as well. I could not be happier with R & R, I highly recommend them.

Oh my gosh, this was a fantastic caterer! I had my ceremony in Leesburg and they did an amazing job. I had guests talk about the food for days afterwards...who does that!!? Heidi Harrington was our event coordinator and she ROCKED! She help guide us through the food tasting, gave us tips on the booze as we were able to bring in our own, and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff was extremely professional and whatever we needed it was there. I would use them and Heidi again for any catering needs in the future!

Not only did Anne respond promptly to any of my attempts to contact her, but she went above and beyond to create a menu and design a seating plan, all while keeping within my set budget! We received several compliments on the food from our guests. I also would like to note that R&R can also provide cake stands and other reception equipment for a lower cost than most vendors offer. I would without a doubt refer Anne and R&R Catering to anyone without hesitation.

Dianna Gilbert with R&R was a delight to work with! We interviewed with several catering companies and actually decided initially to work with a caterer that our venue had recommended. Unfortunately (or fortunately in the long run) for us this turned out to be a bad decision. When we realized that our initial caterer was not going to work out, we immediately turned to R&R and asked Dianna to quickly put a proposal together.

Dianna went out of her way to meet every aspect of our requests. She set up a private tasting for us and we sampled what we thought would be the menu selection. The tasting and her presentation were wonderful! She worked with us with our linens and china to ensure that the setting we had envisioned was achieved. Her coordination and attention to detail was a definite compliment to our floral designer and the two matched up perfectly!

We felt extremely comfortable in Dianna’s hands. She responded promptly and with detail to every request and/or change no matter how minor. She worked with us to ensure that all of our food selections were compatible and appropriate for our venue and season.

R&R arrived early the day of our wedding and were busy setting up. Each and every staff member greeted us with courtesy and a big smile. Dianna was on site to make sure that the set up went smoothly and as we had chosen in the planning. The set up appeared flawless and everything was absolutely beautiful!

Our guests were extremely impressed with the level of service and everyone raved about the food. They commented routinely that the quality and the presentation were superb and that the beef tenderloin was perfectly prepared and served to all – apparently they had experienced not the same from other caterers and events. I must say that from the very beginning of the meal service to the end – it was simply delicious!

At the last minute we added a Martini Luge to the Bar service and Dianna made this happen without any problem! It was a great addition and the guests enjoyed their drink selections!

Dianna and the staff at R&R were definitely the right choice and we have no regrets having gone with them! In fact, we have since referred two new customers to Dianna and wouldn’t hesitate doing so!

I forgot to mention that Dianna and R&R provided all of the food for one of my Bridal Showers. Our wedding guests got a pre-treat of what was to come and R&R came through in every way for each occasion!

The best caterers in Northern Virginia. The food was beyond delicious and beautifully displayed. The presentation was amazing. Our POC was so wonderful, she new what the best choices would be. I would be hesitant but her advice was right on. Our guest were so please. The mini burgers and mellon balls were a big hit. The have great, contempory selections. Just superb!

The staff at R&R Catering were very accommodating and helpful throughout the planning stages. They were very flexible and pleasant to work with. The thing with a lot of vendors is that although everything seems great when you're talking to them and in this case, tasting their samples, you never know how they're going to be the day of the event. Well, let me just say that R&R was wonderful. They kept everything moving very smoothly and I received so many comments about how impressed my guests were about so many of the items that were served. Kudos to R&R...thanks Nancy!!!

Side note: We had a heavy hors d'ouvres reception with a carving station and a pasta station. Everyone said they were really impressed with the pasta station, that the sauces were great and the pasta cooked perfectly. Guests also liked the mini pizzas, mini cheeseburgers, chicken lime quesadillas and spinach artichoke dip

We used R&R Catering for our wedding. The food was incredible, we got a lot of great comments on it from out guests. They displayed the food nicely and the day of staff was great, very nice and hard working. Laura Eaton was our coordinator and we cannot say enough great things about her. She made the whole process completely painless and was great to work with. We highly recommend R&R Catering and Laura Eaton.

Laura Eaton at R&R Catering has been such a joy to work with. She is so friendly and worked tirelessly not only on the menu, but also with our decor ideas and even etiquette when needed. We made numerous changes right up to the last minute and she was so patient with us. Needless to say, we had so many great comments on the food and service. R&R Catering are a most professional group of caterers and provide the most magnificant food. They can do anything from the most basic fare, to fabulous gourmet offerings. The food taste as good as it looks. Their event designer, Anne Portell truly works with couples to provide exactly the day they envision. She treats couples with the utmost respect, and is a caring individual. We are fortunate to have Anita, who supervises all R&R events here. I can't say enough about her and the hard work she puts into managing the catering team. She is always on top of everything from the time her feet touch down, until the conclusion of the event. What a hard worker! Then there are Tracy & Robert, both wonderful bartenders. Actually, we can't say enough about the entire team and how wonderfully they work together to provide you with the most professionally catered event.

Every time we film an event at Meadowlark Gardens I get excited because I may just see R&R Catering there! We have worked with them often over the past 5 years, most often at Meadowlark (but not just there!) and I especially love it when I'm able to see Dianna Gilbert, who always sees to it that my team is taken care of. R&R Catering provides excellent food for the guests AND for the vendors...who could ask for more? They also take the time to liaise with us on site about any changes in the schedule and help us keep on track with our shot list if any of the events of the evening are moved to a different time. I have worked with R&R several times and have noticed consistently great service and food. Their staff is always accommodating and willing to try new ideas -- I had a couple choose a flambe station for dessert and they were able to pull it off! They have done setups in 90 minutes, worked in the rain, added last-minute extra staff, moved ceremony chairs for dinner, and are generally on their toes the whole event to make sure things are right.
