Rachel not only takes amazing photos (my wedding guests mention how much they love her work every time my wedding is mentioned), but she is very talented with people as well. My groom doesn't like having his picture taken and she put him at ease and made having our engagement & wedding photos taken not only painless but fun. Rachel is so creative and anticipated great shots, craftily avoided eyesores, and was a true joy to work with. If you're looking for a photographer to capture photos of your life, look no further!

As we were first starting our wedding planning, we were told that the most important vendor of the wedding is the photographer. It's true. You spend the most time with the wedding photographer over all the other vendors since they are there capturing every moment of the big day: getting ready, walking down the aisle, the details of the day, the ceremony and the reception.

As soon as we saw some of Rachel's sample albums, we were blown away by her work! We knew we had to hire her. We really wanted someone who was experienced, professional and fun to work with. And the fact that she agreed to be flexible and travel to Maui for the wedding was icing on the cake!

The pictures turned out exquisite! She did an amazing job. She has captured memories of a lifetime. Rachel Rausch is one of the most talented wedding photographers. We feel so grateful to have her apart of our wedding. We're big fans of her work.

What do your packages include?

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

I can create Poloroid transfers from images made at the wedding upon request.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

I have shot in all types of lighting situations. I also bring my own lighting which does not make you look like a deer in the headlights.

Is your media preference film or digital?

I shoot black and white film and digital.

How many photographers do you work with?

Depends on the size of the event and the bridal party. For weddings up to 80, one photographer is enough. As you add more parts to the day, (multiple locations, 8+ bridal party, more guests), I add another photographer.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Absolutely! I rarely get sick but in the event that some odd thing happens, I always have a backup.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

Never more than one wedding a day. Sometimes two in a weekend, depending on the difficulty.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Yes.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

My main camera and a backup. I carry everything I need on my body in a bag so I don't need to run and grab something.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Yes.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

Both.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

Yes, I can do overtime and that rate starts at 250.00/hour

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

Just one - the dinner break. Yes, or at least the time to eat.

Do you charge for travel?

Depends on the distance.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Within two weeks.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Online website.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes, and personal use rights are given to all my clients.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Yes. I have a very clear contract that covers all the details.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

Digital files are available with album design and purchase.

Will images be available for viewing online?

Absolutely!

What kind of albums do you offer?

My albums are handmade in the US by Leathercraftsmen. I also have two other companies I use that are less expensive but still archival.

When will the client get the final album?

Usually 4 weeks after final approval of the design
