We are very happy we chose this vendor. We were very impressed by the prompt replies by Kathleen and the fact that she was present at the rehearsal and wedding day to make sure everything went smoothly. Their standard packages are great values and came with almost everything we wanted -add ons are easy. The food and space itself are fantastic. It's nice to have a romantic, vintage, yet refined and expensive looking site rather than typical hotel ballrooms. There was some stress with coordinating everything through email (we do not live in Baltimore) but everything went perfectly the day-of, and we have nice treats waiting for us in our suite and our parents' rooms after the wedding.

Could not say enough about Kathleen and everyone at the Radisson. I didn't have to worry about a thing and our day was perfect!!! We ran out of certain alcohol at the reception and she made sure there were replacements immediately. Would recommend them to anyone!

While our coordinator, Kathleen, was generally helpful we had a number of frustrations in dealing with the Radisson. It seemed like she had a hard time getting the rest of the staff to respond to requests. We engaged in significant back and forth in order to get answers to some of our questions. The Radisson is an older hotel so parts of it look shabby but overall the decor is beautiful. They also have a small movie theater where we screened a video for our guests during cocktail hour.
Our wedding happened to fall on the weekend when people for Otakon were in town so the hotel was completely booked. Several of our guests had issues with their rooms (ex. flooding) and since the hotel was full they had to stay at my parent's house. One of my biggest frustrations was with the reservations process. That process was much harder than it needed to be. Even though we were supposed to have a block saved, several people called the hotel and were told they couldn't book a room because they were full. It took a lot of back and forth to get people rooms. My poor cousin tried to get a room for 2 months before it finally got worked out.
According to some of our guests the bartenders were not knowledgeable. The food at our tasting was incredible and we were very excited about the food for the wedding. However, while edible, the food at the wedding was not nearly the same quality as the food at the tasting. I understand it is harder to produce that many meals, but then they shouldn't have set our expectations so high.
They did do some things right. Since the Otakon folks were in town and the hotel was booked they upgraded me to the bridal suite (which is HUGE) and our guests to their concierge level.

Lord Baltimore is old and def in need a remodel(something they're aware of I'm sure)and the rooms aren't in good shape. The bridal suite is large, but again, not the most lovely.A little embarrassing by that and the overall upkeep of the hotel. But I wasn't going to get the two story ballroom look anywhere else in Bmore.
Here's my rundown:Kathleen is great, hands down. She was patient with me and my emails and little details.I was thrilled to see that she was present at my wedding reception (I got the feeling she wasn't going to be and was going to pass on my details to an assistant--which made me very nervous).
Front desk staff could use some "help" in the manners and overall attitude department. Granted it's Baltimore so what do you expect.I know there was an issue with my own parents checking in the day of the wedding along with other guests. Not good to piss of the father of the bride-who’s essentially covering your paycheck.
Tim,the cook there was very nice to us, warm and friendly.I would say the wedding food was typical wedding food. My rice pilaf under my chicken was def no cooked--full on hard and crunchy. But again, no one comes to a wedding for the food and I was not going to complain.
The cake looked great, we had two flavors. My custom cake topper never made it on the cake but rather beside the cake.I imagine it was just a mix up with the florist (flowers on top of the cake with the intention of putting the topper in the middle).Didn't ruin my night though.Darren was our lighting guy.He communicated well and was professional.
Brunch-this was arranged by my in-laws and my in-laws were not too impressed by the look of confusion on staff's face that morning. Either someone forgot or flat out didn't know for what ever reason. It was all taken care of by the time I made it down though.
Kathleen's great, but with that particular hotel you're stuck with Baltimore's finest. Personally, I think she belongs at a...

The RADISSON was wonderful. Kathleen was great and was very flexible with all our needs. The wedding suite was amazing! Food was divine! Venue is gorgeous for the ceremony and the reception. We had brunch for our guests the next morning and it was so so beautiful. They moved the centerpieces to the tables for the brunch and it was breathtaking. Highly recommend them. Only Drawback were the rooms being a but dated and the room rates were confused by the desk staff which frustrated our guests a little. Highly recommend them!

This place is GORGEOUS! We wanted an historical venue to compliment our vintage/classic wedding. There is so that can be done to create your opulent wedding dreams!! The staff was courteous at all times. The food was ...OMG...OFF THE CHARTS!! We had the pleasure of giving our guest a choice between 4 meals at the time of rsvp...THEY LOVED IT ALL!!! Especially the Crabcake! The Bridal suite is HUMONGOUS!! The Managers were very accomodating to tweeking the package to meet our needs and wants. The valet parking was a BONUS due to the hassles of downtown parking. We didn't have to lift a finger or consult with any of the Radisson staff the entire day. They worked behind the scenes making us and our guests very happy! Thank you Radisson for making our Wedding Day a memory to cherish FOREVER!!!

The Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore provided ceremony, reception, brunch, and rooms for the wedding. I am the mother-of-the-bride who paid for most of this, and I felt that Kathleen Barone and the Radisson staff did all that they could to make this a stress-free, quality weekend for all! Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Kathleen led our rehearsal and was extremely flexible with all of our time and other requests. The food at the cocktail hour was so good; people raved about the antipasto table (never heard this before). The chef and his staff did a first-rate job! The meals came out hot, meat was done perfectly, and salmon was just right! I was impressed with the service and high quality of everything that went into making our weekend special!

The Radisson Lord Baltimore was the perfect location to host our wedding reception. I worked with Kathleen Barone and it was a really enjoyable experience! I cannot speak highly enough of her- she is organized, honest, experienced and very responsive. She was able to provide her recommendations based on her experience because she wants this to be the best day of your life. The location is gorgeous and we had no issues at all with the valet service at the hotel. The cocktail hour was beautiful in the Versailles room. The food was incredible and was a highlight of the night. The organization of Kathleen's team and ability to setup the room as discussed was impeccable- it definitely exceeded my vision and they didn't miss a single detail. The staff on the night were very professional and did a wonderful job! My only recommendation to the hotel would be to update the wedding suite. It's huge (includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen and large main area) and was key to hosting my large bridal party getting ready for the day. But the room is outdated and some furniture was stained or broken. Since the rest of the hotel is gorgeous it would have been the icing on the cake to have this room updated to reflect a true bridal suite.

When we found this venue, it had everything we wanted. Kathleen was very attentive to every detail throughout the whole process. The food was excellent as well as the service. All the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The venue was gorgeous, very fairy tale like!
The wedding coordinator was very helpful throughout the planning process as well as the day of.
One thing that made me think twice about recommending this venue was the valet. We had a Saturday night affair, the valet was great taking people's cars, but when the party was over the valet scrambled. They brought people the wrong cars, gave wrong keys, didn't know where the cars were parked...big problem when your guests are waiting 30-45 mins for them to find the right...

I was extremely disappointed with the hotel. The yes I can service was far from perfect. The evening fell apart with the appetizers during cocktail hour when the trays were empty after 15 minutes. They were never refilled, there were no passed appetizers, or food remaining for the guests. The food was to be unlimited for the cocktail hour. Moving on to dinner....disaster! The bartenders kept leaving the bar to get more glasses, there was no wine served with dinner (bride and groom either), not all guests had champagne for the toast, brides father didn't get his dinner because he was giving the welcome toast, the salad was just thrown on the plate from a ag (nothing like our tasting), the steak was over cooked, no sauces for the steak or stuffed fish, the vegetarians received the meat platters and my request for food allergies were ignored, the hotel didn't refill the tea or coffee for the dessert station, I didn't have a fork for the cake cutting or feeding, the ballroom was left untainted where it needed patching from the earthquake, I was double charged for 2 days of valet and it took 2 months to receive my refund, the grooms mom had her Amex number stolen from the brunch and charged $3k dollars in fraud, my food that was brought in from outside catering to go with dinner was stollen from the kitchen fridge, there were not enough seats for guests at tables or set ups, etc, etc. the list goes on and on. I am so frustrated with the hotel that I really wish I chose another venue. Do your homework first because I was misled with how the hotel represented themselves and extremely disappointed!!!

Our entire experience with the Radisson and every one of its staff members was phenomenal. Kathleen, the wedding coordinator, was a lifesaver during the entire process. She was thorough, timely, and extremely accommodating. Everytime I dropped in to check on something or even to show my mother-in-law the venue on a whim, Kathleen was either there herself or made sure someone else could help us. We made the stupid decision to have our wedding on the day of the Baltimore Marathon, so the shuttle service we employed to take bridal party members between the hotel and the church was three hours late. Kathleen immediately brought in Radisson people to shuttle us until our service arrived at no extra charge. Prices were extremely reasonable and our guests raved that it was one of the best parties they had ever been to. I literally don't know how I would have survived the planning process without Kathleen and I'm so grateful to have chosen a venue that took so many factors off of my plate. Plus, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and has so much character. I would do everything exactly the same if I could get married again and I would recommend the Radisson to anyone.

Our wedding experience at the Radisson was great, Kathleen was perfect and I would highly recommend the Radisson for their wedding. I could not have asked for anything better.

The ceremony and reception was everything we could've asked for, however the wedding planner was rude to our bridal party and disappeared throughout the reception. She was great making sure everything went super smooth, and every detail was completed, but the attitude put a bad note with everyone involved. The food was delicious, she was able to accommodate us with everything, and for everything that was included in our wedding package, the price was perfect.
Vendor response to review
We are shocked and saddened to see the recent post on this site. All communications that we received from the bridal party have been stellar prior to this. Hindsight is 20/20 and I remember having to ask some party members to leave the area during our set up as they were giving contrary information to the servers versus the agreed upon set up with the bride. We profusely apologize if this was offensive in any way and will use this feedback to improve our relationship with future bridal parties.

I would recommend the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore to any bride looking to get married in Baltimore. We got such a great deal for everything that we received. The food was AMAZING, the rooms were gorgeous, and the assistance planning was so valuable. I would do it exactly the same if I could do it all over again.

The Radisson is a gorgeous venue to have your wedding reception (or ceremony too!). We went through a few wedding planners at the Radisson throughout the planning process, but the current wedding planner, Dena, and her whole team did a WONDERFUL job in making sure everything went smoothly and perfectly on our wedding day. My jaw dropped when I walked in the ballroom and saw how beautiful everything looked and how it all came together. We received many compliments on the food and the service too. Definitely recommend Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore!

We used the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore for our wedding, reception, brunch, and room block, and everything was fantastic! The Lord Baltimore is a historic hotel with a rich history (http://www.baltimorestyle.com/index.php/style/baltimore/baltimore_lord_baltimore_hotel_jf10/), and every aspect of the hotel helped our wedding be unique. After viewing several hotels with generic rooms with airwalls that flip the rooms during cocktail hour, we fell in love with the rich architecture of the Lord Baltimore.
The Versailles ballroom where we held our ceremony was beautiful, with large mirrors on the front and back and large bay windows along the side wall. It is truly unique and stunning, and the elegance of it actually saved us $$ because we did not need to flourish the room with flowers. The cocktail hour was held on a balcony above the lobby (it is more quiet and elegant than it sounds...) and the ballroom for the reception is a large art-deco ballroom with a gorgeous chandelier, a balcony, and murals in the corners of the room.
Besides the layout of the hotel, the Radisson staff helped pull off a fantastic wedding. Our initial wedding planner Jay Day was fantastic but left during the planning process, but Brian Donoghue was committed to us from the day we met him. Brian worked with us on every detail of the wedding, including catering to our dietary restrictions, providing a detailed timeline of how the wedding would go, and being on hand until the last minute of the wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly. Brian and the rest of the Lord Baltimore staff helped us with everything, including running around the city the day of the wedding to find cardstock for us! The banquet staff also deserves due credit. They made everything run smoothly and were a joy to work with. Also, the food was fantastic both in taste and presentation -- they offer a wide variety of choices for cocktail hour and dinner, and guests loved the food at the wedding and the next morning’s brunch.
Our only negative to the Lord Baltimore are the hotel rooms and housekeeping. The bridal suite, although very spacious, is outdated and dirty. It had ants, a broken phone, and had clearly not been cleaned before we checked in. The reservation staff even gave someone else a key to come in while we were staying there! A few other guests had room problems as well. However, while we would not suggest the hotel for a room block, the ballrooms and banquet staff were so amazing, we would recommend the venue for any event!

The Radisson is a gorgeous venue & is a great value for the money. The wedding coordination is now run by a new manager, but the transition is going smoothly.

We used the Radisson Lord Baltimore for our hotel for out-of-town guests and were very pleased with the service we received. They gave us a great rate (even though we were a little late in setting up arrangements) and were really responsive to our needs, especially in arranging the shuttle to get us to the wedding site. While the rooms themselves were nothing spectacular, the staff and services were excellent.

The Lord Baltimore hotel is a gorgeous and unique venue for any ceremony or reception. We just had the reception there, but a ceremony would have been lovely as well. The service of the staff the day of was amazing. Ann Arnett and her staff were wonderful. The pre-planning was a bit stressful at times with minor communication problems, but all went as well as expected the day of the wedding. Be very careful and diligent about the parking valet. This was handled by a seperate company hired by the hotel, and did not go well at all. There was a huge backlog of cars getting into the hotel (plan for lots of time in between ceremony and hotel). Other than that, the details of the day were great. The cake we got through the hotel was great. The food was FANTASTIC. We received tons of comments from our guests about how good the wait staff and food were. Plus, a gorgeous 1930s era hotel in downtown Baltimore? How could you go wrong? Oh yeah, and we were torn between the Belvedere and the Lord Baltimore. We chose Lord Baltimore simply because it was a hotel where our guests could stay overnight for convienence - we like to party. And the swanky lobby bar downstairs is perfect for the after party!
Oh, one more thing. THE BRIDAL SUITE (complimentary the night of the wedding) WAS AWESOME!!!!!! Highly recommend having you and your girls get ready there. Tons of space, very convienent!

I highly recommend the Lord Baltimore. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, and with style and class. At first look the prices seem steep, but when you compare venues, this is in line with others. The ballroom is simply gorgeous, so different from other rooms in the area. Ann Arnette, the wedding coordinator, is a lovely person to deal with. She really seems to love her job and her brides! I have wonderful memories of my reception.

Beautiful ballroom and ceremony room, excellent food and the most amazing wedding planner - Ann Arnett. I highly recommend this location for your wedding.
Wonderful, "Old Baltimore" feel to this hotel! Love the richness of the rooms, the downtown location (so convenient for your guests!), the service. If you want something out of the ordinary, this is for you!
