Raffael's

One of the most beautiful ballrooms you will find, with a very nice terrace area. The gazebo area is also gorgeuos. We had hoped to have the ceremony there, but the weather did not cooperate. Fortunately, it did clear up and we were able to get some pictures by the gazebo. Food was great, and received many compliments from our guests. Everyone was very accomodating, and we could not have asked for a more perfect day. Special thanks to Joseph, our maitre d and Peggy, our main server. Joe checked with us on numerous occasions to make sure we had everything we needed, as did Peggy. The were quick to get us anything and we really felt taken care of. Most importantly, the entire staff seemed like they enjoyed taking care of everyone. Tina and Lynne our coordinators were also great. Thanks again Raffael's!!

I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Hingham venue. Absolutely gorgeous views and modern rooms, not your typical banquet hall. The food was fantastic and the service exceeded my expectations. Terese is an amazing person and a true joy to work with. By far the best bargain for the quality.

My husband and I enjoyed the best night of our lives at our wedding reception at Raffael's at the South Shore Country Club on June 23, 2012! Terese Pannetta, the wedding coordinator, was the most amazing coordinator who ensured that every detail was perfect and was exactly was we had envisioned for this perfect day! Elio and Frank, the management team, also were terrific and so easy to deal with! Not one ounce of stress!! The food, cake, service and decor were absolutely a dream come true and, by far, exceeded our expectations! All of our partygoers said it was the happiest and most fun wedding ever! The staff was so wonderful and so accommodating to our guests! I wish we could do it again! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone!!! Since we were married in a church, we don't know how a ceremony would go there but we did use the outdoor tent for our cocktail hour - AWESOME!!!!!

I recently got married this past June 16th, 2012. I chose Raffael's in Walpole, MA to have my reception. I am not lying when I say that people are still calling up both myself and my parents telling us how much they enjoyed themselves at the wedding! They thought that Raffael's was just gorgeous. They were so impressed by everything.
The staff was extremely nice, the food was AWESOME!! My favorite person at Raffael's was Ricco.
When I met with him the week prior to my wedding and he turned to me and said " Don't worry honey - I will take care of everything" he absolutely meant it. The night of my wedding he was amazing - he was super accommodating, very attentive to everyone's needs, and most of all he walked myself and my husband through every step of the way.. Not for 1 second did I feel nervous or have that feeling of not knowing what's going to happen next - Ricco made sure to prep us for everything so we were totally prepared.
I can't say enough about Raffael's, only that I wish I could do it again and I hope a friend of mine has her wedding there so I can go back!
I highly recommend Raffael's for your wedding - you will be in good hands! ; )

Hello to All:


Thanks to all who helped us with the difficult challenge of planning our daughter Jamie’s wedding.

Jamie and Marty’s wedding truly got rave reviews. We received so many wonderful phone calls telling us their thoughts. On person called to tell us that she has been to many weddings in Boston and this wedding surpassed them all.

The others also mentioned the beauty of Raffael’s, the excellent food (and that could not be stressed enough) and the terrific wait staff – they are very professional and accommodating. No one had to look for hors d’ oeuvres, the wait staff was right there!

Mike and I really enjoyed the evening as did everyone else. The dance floor was hopping!

I also want to mention the woman (sorry I did not remember her name) that stood guard and watched out for all of the gifts. She is one terrific lady!

A special thank you to Rico for the awesome orchestration and handling of the reception. He really knows how to make things flow. It truly made the evening run smoothly and totally enjoyable.

Our Bride and Groom are on their honeymoon now but I wouldn’t doubt if you hear from them as well. They had a wonderful time.

Thanks for all you did for us, you will not be forgotten as we would recommend you to anyone we know. “Keep up the good work”. You are the BEST.

Raffael's was absolutely amazing! From the moment we started working with them they were professional, accommodating and easy to deal with. If I had a question they got back to use immediately. The day of the wedding is couldn't have I imagined anything better! It was perfect! Every detail was so well thought out! The room was gorgeous!!!...I HIGHLY recommend other brides to choose this venue!

This is a very beautiful venue however my rating was a lower because I found Rico, who ran everything the day of my wedding to be very unprofessional. He made many of my guests feel so uncomfortable that 3 different groups of people made comments to me in the following weeks. It was he tone and pushiness that really turned people off. Personally I think when you are paying a huge sum of money to a venue they should treat your guest with the complete respect. Not only that but many guest also commented on how during the cocktail hour open bar, which we paid for, the line was insane (I only had 120 quest) and they only had one bartender working. It seemed all to intentional and again guests asked the staff to maybe move things along so they could be served.
In the events leading up to wedding everything ran very smoothly and I enjoyed working with the wedding coordinators. I was just truly disappointed and even disgusted that my guests would have anything negative to say about how they were treated.

When I decided to have my wedding at Raffael's earlier this year I knew from the start it was going to be a magical day. The room was beautiful, the service was excellent (Thank You Rico!), the food was outstanding and all of it made it a dream come true for me.I was delighted with everything and I highly recommend Raffael's to everyone.

I can't wait to go back for Sunday...

Rico and the team at Raffael's were great! I knew that my wedding was going to be beautiful, but Raffael's brought beautiful to a new level. From the ceremony to the reception everything went so smoothly.

I would just like to say that I am more than thrilled with how my wedding day went at Raffael's. From day one working with Terese & Frank was an absolute pleasure!! My wedding went absolutely flawless and all of my vendors that I brought in said that they were amazing to work with as well. I consider them family now and I am thinking of what other party I can throw there, haha! I would do my wedding day all over again just to work with them.
Also, the venue itself is beautiful, it was exactly what I wanted.

The Perfect wedding was certainly created with the help of the amazing team this Country Club has put together. I don’t know where to even begin, but as I sit here and think back now at how perplexed I was putting together a list of what I wanted in a Venue when I first started planning and deciding whether or not I wanted to hire a wedding planner makes me realize how amazing everything went from day one of agreeing to have my wedding here. My guests are still raving about “the best wedding food they’ve ever had” (I selected the chicken and baked cod, both made to perfection for each one of my guests), the service I received was better than I could have ever imagined. They literally followed every single detail I requested (some I even forgot about!). Terese, who is almost like your very own wedding planner along the way (she is the reason why I didn’t end up hiring one which saved me some $$) is such a pleasure to work with. She is just an amazing person and did such a nice job staying in touch and gathering as much detail as possible from me. She responded to all my emails immediately, called me anytime she had a question and more importantly kept me happy and calm without a worry in the world. I’ve heard of many horror stories recently about venues and people keep asking me if it was the same for me and I am happy to say I had the best wedding night a girl could ask for! I literally danced all night, I wasn’t bothered with questions from the staff, no complaints from guests about the service and more importantly things were run just the way they should have. Thank you Frankie, Terese and team for providing the best service throughout the whole process and making my wedding night as memorable as it was to me, my husband and my guests!!

My husband and I got married this past August and had our ceremony and reception at the South Shore Country Club. We had a wonderful experience from our very first meeting up until our wedding day. We especially loved working with Therese who was extremely accessible, answered all of our questions right away and seemed to have a great knowledge of the wedding industry and how to manage a successful event. We had a bowling/pizza after party at the SSCC's bowling alley which our friends and family still talk about. I would recommend the SSCC to any bride and groom looking for a venue with a great value, beautiful space and exceptional staff. I wish we could go back and do it again!

I got married at thier Walpole facility. The quality of service was quite good and they were very professional and responsive.
The facility is beautiful and has just undergone some renovation.

My only complaints about them was the fact that the food was moved too fast. A few of our guests complained that they went to the bar and by the time they got back, their food had been taken.

They were also a little on the expensive side considering they are outside of Boston.

Overall, I had a positive experience and that's thanks to them!

My wife and I had planned to have our rehearsal dinner last March at Raffaels in Hull. We put down a deposit in July and thought we were all set. A few months later we were meeting with our wedding coordinator (had the reception at another location) and told her where we were having the rehearsal dinner. When we told her Raffael's in Hull she told us that the place had gone out of business. We didn't believe her until we called Raffael's management and they told us that. I can not speak to the quality of the food or service because I was not able to experience it. When we called Raffaels other location (Norwell I think?) they said that their Hull location had in fact gone bankrupt and that they would not be refunding our deposit. They said that they could apply our $100 deposit to the bill if we had our rehearsal at one of their other locations. . But if they are so unprofessional that they couldn't call us to let us know that Hull location as closed why would we want to give them any more money? We told them we wanted our $100 deposit back and we were told we would have to wait until bankruptcy proceedings took place. It wasn't about the money as much about the fact that they never told us about it. We literally would have shown up to have the dinner and the place would have been closed.

First thing is the venue was beautiful on our day. Even though it rained and we had to do the ceremony inside they had the room all set up nice. The food was awesome. The whole staff was super friendly and treat you like family. We recently went back for our one year anniversary and they were so nice to us. This place is great and I always recomend it anytime I have the chance to!

Raffael's was a new vendor to me and my groom as we had originally signed a contract with the previous caterer that the South Shore Country Club offered. However with the new ownership the managerial staff was more than accommodating to me as I had already booked with the venue under the old guidelines and packages. The staff and service super-exceeded our expectations and guests are still raving about the food and service that this vendor offered on the biggest day of my life.

We had our reception a Raffaels and loved it. The site is beautiful and the food was great. Also the wedding coordinators were wonderful to work with and very accomodating.

Raffaels was great to work with for the wedding. The staff was attentive and there to answer any questions that they could. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the food was great!

Choosing Raffael's for our wedding was one of the best things we did. We loved the gazebo, and the hall was beautiful. The staff was excellent, especially Rico who coordinated our wedding. Everything ran on time and was very organized. Their wedding packages made everything so easy -- they ordered our invitations, our cake, and our flowers. We even got to take our mothers to a tasting dinner before making our choices on the meals. I loved the fact that they brought food and drinks to our wedding party while we were taking our pictures. They were very adaptable to our needs. We had many compliments on our wedding -- everyone said it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended and much of that was due to Raffael's. Several people thought we spent almost twice as much as we actually did on the wedding. I would highly recommend Raffael's in Walpole.

This place is exceptional. My entire family and everyone attending could not believe the service, decor, everything! Really spactacular attention to detail and cater to your needs. Every member of the staff was great! Gorgeous reception and the gazebo outside for the ceremony was stunning. Very affordable! If you have any doubts just visit the site and you will fall in love!
