Rainbow Sound and Lights

We ordered uplights, gobo, pinspot lighting for the head and cake tables, H20 effects for our reception banquet room. The pink and amber lighting was very pretty; however, I did feel the lighting was a bit dark. Had I seen the banquet room prior to guests arriving, I would have asked that they bring up the lights a bit. It probably has less to do with Rainbow Sound than it does with our reception hall chandeliers. I probably would have asked for more lighting for the band as well. Out of the lighting companies, Rainbow Sound is very competitive in pricing. Great deal on the gobo and special lighting effects!

I also ordered a 12X12 screen through Rainbow Sound and Lighting, and comparatively, they gave me the best deal. Jonathan kept in contact, had great communication, and set up on time. He also arrived to pack up promptly. I would definitely use them again!

I worked with Jonathan and his is such a sweet guy. For anyone debating if paying for lighting is a necassary expense the answer is YES! YES! YES!. The light transformed our entire ballroom. We had a warm golden amber washed on the walls and ceiling with a desing on the dance floor and ceiling. Our guest kept mention how the ambiance was so amazing, we still get compliments about it now. I HIGHLY recommend Rainbow Sound. Oh yeah and the prices were so much better the other lighting companies out there.

I was one of those skeptical brides that thought “do I REALLY need lights?” The answer to the question is “YES!!!” Our reception room looked amazing. The guys did an awesome job setting everything up and taking it all down. Even Peter commented on how great the room looked. I worked with Jonathan and he was very accommodating when I told him how we were on a price constraint (since this was the last vendor we booked… 1 month before the wedding!). He was willing to work with me on the price and people couldn’t believe how little I paid for the service. I would definitely recommend this company again.

I heard about this vendor through another bride and was really pleased with the very affordable price, coordination, and execution on the day of the wedding. I never thought I would spend extra money on lighting, but the effect is amazing. They made my centerpieces pop with brilliance and the reception area looked romantic and perfectly lit. David, the owner is easy to work with and uses very professional staff to set up.

Loved them. The only downside is that their prices vary from person to person so be sure to ask for the best price.

I would definetly recommend Rainbow Lighting. They were willing to work with my budget and the lighting changed the whole look of my reception. I encountered the same thing that previous brides have mentioned in their reviews about changing prices from person to person. However, when all is said and done, they did their job well, my reception was gorgeous because of them. They were even a little creative when it came to colors of uplights. They didn't have a light pink, and I did not want hot pink, so they doubled over the "no color pink" gel to make it a soft pink and it turned out great. You will be so happy you went with Rainbow Lighting!

I thought I wasn't going to be able to afford lighting because I had gotten so many ridiculous quotes.......until I met Jonathan. He was so nice and accomodating and his prices are VERY reasonable for lighting. If you are on a budget and still want lighting call him ASAP before he gets too busy and prices go way up and let him know Crissy referred you so hopefully you will get great prices.

Michael and I are now officially hubby and hubbette! Unfortunately I am not a technical girl, and found out about this site a little too late. I used planners, everything written out...oh well, everything turned out amazing. So I'm mostly here to brag :)

This post is because we lucked out with who we chose for our lighting. Huge recommendation for Rainbow Sound & Lighting in L.A. We were recommended to them from my best friend who got married last year. Jonathan is the man we dealt with, and he put up with a bridzilla (ME!) and surpassed everything we asked for. I knew what effect I wanted, but didn't know much else....and he put it together beautifully. I know how tough it was finding vendors without any recommendations, so I thought this might help some of you....

How funny...I was actually going to post a review on here for Rainbow Sound & Lighting! We worked with Jonathan as well, and he kept in touch with us and was very patient and knowledgable. We had them do uplighting, mood lighting, pin spotting and sound for our D.J....I was in awe of the scene when he set it up. Beautiful, worth every penny and probably even more!
