ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Every single person that attended our wedding commented on how beautiful our flowers were! Michael is so creative and takes your vision to something even better! His work is so memorable, all of our guests wanted his pieces and wore some of the flowers from his arrangements all weekend long. Our flowers lasted from the time of our wedding until the day we got back from our honeymoon. Just one piece advice, make sure you know your budget with flowers because they can get really expensive especially if the flowers you want are not in season.

Rainforest is a unique flower shop among florists. The types of flowers and varieties on hand is remarkable. They also have a private reserve of flowers for special occasions and events that re not on public view. Ask and they will show you some flowers that will blow your mind.
Michael and his staff is knowledgeable and know how to care for flowers. They have created eye-popping arrangements that many many people have stopped me and asked where I got them from. Many times people out of the blue stop me and ask me if the flowers were from Rainforest. I think that's an accomplishment that the public can recognize designs that are so distinctive, yet can be recognized as something from Rainforest.
What is most impressive with Rainforest is their efforts to be Hawaii's first green florist. They are so conscious about the environment, I was blown away at how much general florists make no effort in helping the environment. The immense cellophane land fill contributions that CostCo, Sam's Club, and large florist contributes each day of sales. Vinyl lei boxes, plastic bags, plastic vases, plastic ribbons, and so much junk is contributed to our landfill each day. Rainforest wraps their leis in ti leaves, all their containers are recyclable, plastic trays are made from recycled materials and they also accept used vases and trays for recycling.
I have assured each of my brides that their wedding here has not contributed to any pollution aspects and educated each bride how our islands is a special place and everything that we bring here, stays here and ends up in landfills. It is for this reason why Rainforest is special. Check their website. They not only talk about flowers but also of the environment and ways you can contribute as well.
About Rainforest at Kilohana Square
Michael helped me gave me some florist secrets of how to treat some flowers to make them last longer in a simple bouquet. I have also ordered flowers and bouquets from him that were the best I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). Even their prom bouquets were stunning.
If you're seeking something different, visit Rainforest. From the top ten florist I visited all nine had the exact same flowers, but upon visiting Rainforest, they had flowers that were not seen anywhere else. Their orchids were unique, their roses had colors that I didn't realize roses come in. Ask them about their special flowers which are not on view for the general public. They have a stash for special accounts and projects that sets their flower designs apart from all the rest.
I also like the fact that they are close to Waikiki and deliver (with an $85 minimum order). Staff is friendly and makes me feel at home with each visit. Lots of free parking. They are located on my path from the freeway to Waikiki via Kapahulu Avenue and open early for last minute purchases.
They recently put up a website www.rainforesthawaii.com and I use it to see what's new and in season. It is a helpful site showing the how-tos in flower design.
And if you're into eco-friendly things, Rainforest is super green and super ecologically in tuned.
