Rani Lu Photography

I used Rani for my wedding photos. She was so sweet and easy to work with. She was on time and stayed for my whole wedding. Very talented at what she does. Would definitely recommend her to my friends!

cannot say enough good things about Rani Lu! I recently had a boudoir shoot with her and the investment and experience was worth every penny. Rani is extremely professional and she made it easy to feel comfortable and at ease taking such intimate shots. She has a real knack for bringing out a woman's best angles and directing the posing in a way that looks stunning and flattering. Her talent is unmatched to any other boudoir photographer I researched. I spent a lot of time trying to pick the right photographer and I am so happy I chose her. The whole experience was wonderful and she was always quick to respond to my inquiries and had a quicker than expected turn around time on getting me the proofs to review. She has a gorgeous studio with beautiful furniture and natural lighting to capture amazing shots. Her makeup artist, Katie did a phenomenal job with my normally straight unruly hair and she has an excellent eye for choosing the right makeup to compliment your looks. I felt beautiful and because of her magic it came through in my shots! I would without hesitation give Rani and Katie my highest recommendation and I am happy to be able to refer them to any bride or woman needing photography or makeup.

I would HIGHLY recommend Rani Lu Photography! After researching FOREVER on the internet, I had contact a large majority of wedding photographers in Orange County. After meeting with 4 of our favorites, my fiance and I knew if it was a yes or no after about 5 minutes of meeting with them. There are tons of photographers out there that take great pictures. However, personality, experience, references and being prepared were a large part of why we chose Rani.

Rani is from San Clemente and has the best personality. She is fun, goofy, bubbly and makes you feel very comfortable. We did both our engagement photos and wedding photos with Rani. I'm not a fan of the traditional "posey" pictures and let Rani know of that ahead of time. She does a great job at making the pictures look natural.

Rani sent us a questionaire to fill out about a week before the wedding. Really think about who you want pictures of before the wedding, and let your photographer know. There were a couple people I wished we got pictures of after looking the pictures, but obviously it was too late! Therefore, think about them BEFORE and let your photographer know exactly what you want.

The only thing I would change was the assistant photograpger. I told Rani ahead of time, that if we were going to spend the extra money for an assistant, I didn't want someone standing around whil she took all the pictures. Although we did end up with a TON of amazing pictures, there were many times the assistant was standing around not doing anything. For example, during our cocktail hour, my husband and I were taken up to a hill to get a couple pictures taken. The location took a couple minutes to get to and Rani was the only one who took pictures of us. However, the assistant was with us the entire time. Meanwhile, the cocktail hour was going on! I don't understand why the assistant couldn't stay behind and take pictures of people at the cocktail hour.

With that said, Rani was incredible. If you want an assistant I would just let her know ahead of time exactly what you are looking for.

Loved working with Rani!! She made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Coming from a person that looks naturally awkward, Rani found ways to make me look as natural as possible. I highly recommend working with Rani!

If I could give her 100 stars I would :) Rani is the picture of professionalism and quality. She's also really really fun and makes you feel incredibly comfortable! The pictures she took are amazing and my husband LOVES them. She got them back to me really quickly which I loved too. I'll definitely be calling Rani back the next time I need a photographer and I'd recommend her to anyone and everyone.

I loved working with Rani and so did my husband!! She made us feel totally comfortable! My husband is really shy and to himself so I thought working with a photographer was going to be horrible, but he loved Rani. Not only were we comfortable with her but our wedding photos are amazing! My album is beautiful, I couldnt have asked for anything better. She also did our thank you cards, which turned out amazing. I know I will continue to work with Rani whenever I need a photographer.

Rani is absolutely wonderful. Very professional, timely, and organized. She has incredible vision, but works with the subjects to make ensure that their vision is being recognized too. She is so sweet, patient, and innovative. Her talent is beyond any photographer I have ever seen.
