Let me just say - WE LOVED OUR DJ! Jeremy Cullum was fantastic. He kept the whole wedding running smoothly, he was upbeat, was open to requests, and played perfect songs the whole night. Jeremy was right on time and had everything set up before I could even blink.
It's so important to have a good DJ and we nailed it by picking Ray the DJ. I highly recommend Jeremy - he was a great DJ and great person! Thanks again!

Jeff was our DJ from RaytheDJ. And he was great. He is the funniest guy. He kept the party going even when my husband and I had to step out of the party a few times for pictures and other things. He made great song choices and was overall an excellent DJ!

I cannot strongly enough emphasize how INCREDIBLE Ray the DJ is!!! We actually had Ray himself as our DJ, and I could not have been more impressed by his quality of work both before and during the wedding! We needed the music for first dance cut, and he did so quickly and easily. Also, my aunt and cousin offered to sing during our Father-Daughter dance, but they needed the song in a special key. He first provided us with a website that has instrumental songs in several different keys, but the key they needed wasn't on the website. When they gave him the specific key they needed, he found the song easily! I only tell this drawn out story to illustrate how hard he works for his clients.

During the reception itself, he had all my guests dancing ALL NIGHT!! He read the crowd really well, playing a great mix of fast/ slow songs as well as older and modern songs. I received SO many compliments about him, and I could not be happier! If you want to have the greatest reception ever, BOOK RAY...

I had DJ Marcus from the company Ray the DJ. This guy was beyond fantastic! He listened to my every word about the type of music I like and don't like. He gave me suggestions and sent over documents on the most requested songs for different parts of the wedding like the processional, first dance, bouquet toss, etc. There are a lot more decisions to be made when it comes to the music than most people think and this DJ helped me through it all. He even went above and beyond and mixed/cut songs for my first dance song and my entrance song. He kept mixing them until he came up with the perfect cut for me, which he definitely didn't have to do. I appreciated it so much. All the music he played was fantastic and really got all my guests up and having fun on the dance floor. He was a great MC and did everything perfectly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I would recommend him to anyone!

We loved Jeff from Ray the DJ! From our first meeting 6 months before the wedding, I knew he was going to be a great fit. The day of, he arrived hours before the ceremony and reception to make sure everything was up and running. During the reception he did an amazing job of reading the crowd and keeping the party going. Up until the last dance, everyone was out having a great time. Thanks Jeff!

Ray the DJ had plenty of DJ's to choose from and their was a bio on each one so you could fit your taste. We had Jeremy and he was GREAT! He was able to provide a wide range of music for different ages and genres. Jeremy definitely contributed to my special day being PERFECT!

Randy from Ray the DJ was awesome! He was very receptive to what we wanted (and didn't want) him to play, and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with his service! We talked on the phone several times, making sure every detail in our song choices and timeline was perfect, and he kept our day running smoothly! He provided music for both our ceremony and reception, and even downloaded songs we wanted that he didn't have. Some of our song choices were a bit non-traditional (alt-rock music for dinner, instead of the classics, for instance), but Randy kept to our list and created a memorable musical backdrop that our guests enjoyed! He played all of our dance music requests later in the night, and knew how to keep people on the dance floor all evening, despite our small number of guests! He was open to guest requests and could not have been friendlier throughout the night. I can't recommend him, and Ray the DJ, more highly! They were wonderful to work with!

We absolutely loved working with Jeremy at Ray the DJ. He was professional yet laid back. He had so many ideas and helped a lot with the planning of the songs and the overall flow for the night. We couldn't be more pleased with having Jeremy DJ our wedding. He was friendly and responded quickly to my many emails. At our meeting he asked us very good questions because he seemed to care about us as a couple. He did everything that was asked of him, and boy did I provide him a list of 'must plays'! One word.....FANTASTIC!!! We had Jeff as our DJ for our wedding and we could not have asked for a better person. We had asked our venue for someone that liked to joke around, was great with a younger crowd and played a wide range of music. She instantly told us she had the perfect DJ for us and after our first meeting with him, we knew she was right! He completely understood what we wanted and made us feel very comfortable. Jeff played great music throughout the night, walked around to work the crowd and got everyone (literally everyone!) dancing at one point. We had several of our guests tell us how much fun he was and what a great time they had with him. He truly made our reception everything we wanted it to be and will forever have great memories because of it. We would use him in a heartbeat for any future events that we have. We had Jeff from Ray the DJ and WOW he was amazing! We were planning a surprise dance with the song from the wedding singer that sounded like it was skipping and went into "What I Like About You." I told him what I was thinking and he put the song together and sent it to us and it was perfect! He went out of his way to make sure we had all of the songs we wanted and played so many of the requests. He went with what he saw on the dance floor to gauge what song to play. He also walked around to make sure everyone was doing well or needed anything. My mom also planned a "mother of the bride rap"... yes an actual rap! He was very accommodating with her and was really laid back and funny throughout the night! I highly recommend him!

We hired Jeff from Ray the DJ for our ceremony and reception music. We loved him! He has such a great personality, wonderful sense of humor, works well with other vendors and ensures the day is running smoothly. He goes above and beyond what most DJ's do. We did the Newlywed Game at our reception and he kept it so funny! We had a great time, and our guests were always on the dance floor because he is great at being able to read a crowd and feel what music is good for the moment. We also had a complicated Grand Entrance music compilation and he pulled it off flawlessly. We wanted a variety of different music and he had it all (Big Band & Swing Sinatra-type for the cocktail hour and dinner, Indie music, Top 40 songs and classic reception dance songs). The prices were affordable and the staff is very friendly and easy to work with. Thanks so much for a great wedding day!

Ray the DJ was an incredible and professional service to work with. Ray himself was professional on the phone each time I called and talked to him, and the value could not be beat. Jeff was our DJ for our wedding, and we could not have found a more perfect match for our reception. He kept the evening upbeat when it needed to be upbeat, and toned it down when it needed to slow down a little. His announcements were perfect and right on queue, and he bent the night's schedule any time I needed him to because a person was missing or had wandered off (like my maid of honor, who never would have forgiven me if she missed the cake cutting).

Jeremy at Ray the DJ was simply fantastic. I met with at least 6 other DJs before finding Jeremy. Not only were his prices $250 below all the others, he was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure I got what I wanted. He offered several add-ons to my package, but never pushed. He communicated with me regularly and gave suggestions, but never tried to steer me away from the music and vision I had for my reception. I loathe the cheesy DJ thing, and he was the epitome of class and professionalism. My guests danced the entire time, and that is the true mark of a great DJ.

Jeremy at Ray the DJ was really great to work with. He was laid back and he let us decide what music we wanted to add as well as providing us with suggestions where we were stuck. We hired Jeff through Ray the DJ and he was awesome! He was easy to work with, listened to what we wanted, and very professional. We had friends who had used Ray the DJ before. They loved them. We booked Ray himself and we couldn't have been happier. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He requested that we fill out papers about what we liked and didn't like. He listens to what you want and will give you exactly that and more. The things we looked for in our DJ was:

*Don't break the flow of the evening
*Knowledge about what to do and when to do it

DJ's are so important for the flow and overall feeling of a wedding. And let me tell you....Jeremey ROCKED it! Wow, Chris and I couldn't have been happier with the way the reception turned out. I met Ray at an open house event at Sassy! I immediately knew that I wanted Ray to be the Dj at my wedding! He was so out going and got people dancing at the open house I was at! WOW! We had Jeff who was chosen through our venue. We could not have been happier. Music is a huge part of my life so I am very picky. Plus, I wanted people to be on the dancefloor the whole time which he orchestrated without missing a beat (no pun intended). Jeremy was more than patient and courteous to us during our planning stage. We had more than enough questions and he even took the pressure off coordinating with the Princess some of the responsibilities I should have handled myself. The one thing my new wife and I talk about is how as soon as the music started everyone danced the entire time and quick it felt because everyone had the best time....cannot begin to tell you how many guest said it was the best wedding they have ever attended and most fun they ever had during a wedding and Jeremy had a huge role in this.

We interviewed 3 or 4 DJs before making our selection. Off the bat, Ray the DJ company was the easiest to work with. Jeremy, our DJ was awesome! My Wife and I took the time to set up interviews with 7 well known DJ's in the phoenix area. We were both happy to chose Jeremy with Ray the DJ. The price was very reasonable and we got everything that we wanted with out any hassles. Jeremy and his wife work as a team to make sure that you get all the answers you may have before your big day to make sure that the day goes smooth. My wife and I would send out emails to Jeremy at least once a week and he would get back to us that same day. When planning a wedding time is important and they made sure that we were not wanting around for answers which was great. I would recommend Jeremy to anyone who is looking for a DJ that shows up to the venue early and plays everything that you tell him to play and more. Jeremy is all about making sure that he does what you want and nothing else. Many DJ's have ideas of what they want your wedding to be like and Jeremy is the opposite. He meets with you a couple of times before the wedding to double and triple check that everything that he has is right and there is no mistakes. What more can someone ask for. There were about 100 people at my wedding and everyone was pleased in the music and how his timeline for the wedding went so smooth. My wife and I are very happy that Jeremy and his wife got to be a part of our big day.

Jeremy was our DJ and he did a fantastic job. He met with us prior to our wedding not once but twice. Alicia and jeremy were in constant contact with us and flexible in the changes we wanted to make. He was touching base with us during the ceremony and played all the music that the guests requested throughout the night. DJ Robert performed above and beyond the call of duty for my wedding. He was fexible with our meetings before the wedding, and respectful of our very different requests concerning our ceremony and reception. I love Ray! He really made the day just phenomenal! We asked him for all these crazy things, and he was more than willing to make that happen. He listened to all the requsts that I asked for, even took the initiative to understand how to pronounce everyone's name, and took care of last minute requests. At one point in the night, I had asked him if he could hold off on announcing the cutting of the cake, he was more than willing to do things like that. He was like a member of my family at the wedding. He was always willing to ensure that I was taken care of, always touched bases with me, and he tried to cheer me up when I was upset about all the tragedies within our family happened around the time of our wedding. He worked well with all our vendors, he was very attentive to our calls and e-mails getting to them within that day. Great service! Great attitude! He is definitely worth the money we put into his service.

DJ Ed Russell was amazing!!! As a musician and a major music geek, I was definitely more than apprehensive about selecting a DJ for my wedding. Ed was not only great with the planning and preliminary stuff (offering great ideas for special dances and moments throughout the reception), but he really showed up on game day as well. He was able to blend perfectly my very specific playlists with a selection of "dance songs" and "crowd pleasers" which gave me everything I wanted my wedding to be, musically, while keeping my guests happy and engaged. I could not have asked for a more perfect reception, and I owe a great deal of that success to (along with having the perfect bride) Ed Russell!!! Throughout the night I felt as though he had known us for years. He knew exactly what to play and when to play it. I would gladly swear by Ed Russell for any occasion.

We have had Ray twice for my two daughters weddings. There is non better than Ray. He always keeps the party moving and knows just the right songs to play. He is AWEsome!

At one point the groom was getting a drink at the bar and the bartender commented to him that she's worked hundreds of weddings and never seen the dance floor having such a good time. And our friends are not traditionally the cut-loose-on-the-dance-floor types. To think I was nervous we'd have an empty floor! He knew just what to play at the right time to masterfully keep the party going - young/old/in-between were all out there having a blast. The do not play list was respected. What more can we ask for? ‘Randall Lee from Ray the DJ was worth EVERY penny to be the DJ & MC for our wedding. We met with Randall prior to our wedding, he had lots of helpful ideas, we had a few very specific request regarding song timeline plays, and he matched everything perfectly! There were times when we wanted people to dance their booty’s off and others when we wanted it to be very elegant, intimate and romantic…..not matter what time during our wedding it was Randall set the mood accordingly. He was absolutely WONDERFUL, he spent time with us working on our grand entrance song to fit our specific needs. We only wanted an instrumental portion of the song played during our entrance so he wouldn’t be talking over vocals while trying to introduce our bridal party, and he perfected it! Thank you Ray the DJ and especially thank you Randall Lee for making our more perfect than we could have dreamed of.’

Jeff the DJ from Ray the DJ is by far the greatest DJ ever. He was able to make the entire evening flow even when things went a little off schedule. Jeff is so much fun and listens to exactly what you want for your wedding music. He was able to go from beautiful jazz music to Lady Gaga all in one night. He had everyone out on the dance floor the entire time. He even continued playing when our car failed to show up to pick us up for our exit. He is extremely professional but also makes your wedding the one where everyone has a great time from Grandma to the ringbearer. If you want to have great music not matter what you like Jeff is the best DJ in town!

Jeremy with Ray the DJ was fabulous! He did a wonderful job at really listening and understanding what type of event our wedding to be at it was perfect......a great party with people dancing all night long!! Jeremy's music was perfect and he (and everyone else with Ray the DJ) was amazing to work with.

Jeremy was my DJ for my wedding in September and he was fabulous! Throughout the entire process we communicated with each and we even met to discuss the night of the event. He goes above and beyond! Why look else where, when the best is right here!

Jeremy was amazing and absolutely wonderful to work with! He walked us through the process and met with us a couple times before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page and comfortable with the timeline. Ray was so great!! He was totally on top of everything leading up to the wedding- he called me to go over pronunciations of names and to make sure he had the correct versions of our special dance songs. The day of the wedding he got the wedding party fired up for our grand entrance and kept the party going all night long. He played our must-plays and did a great job of incorporating other fun music. The dance floor was full all night long!!

Ed Russell was the perfect DJ for our wedding. Classy yet casual, he immediately got the tone we wanted to set for our ceremony and reception. Planning a Phoenix wedding from Boston wasn’t easy, but he made the musical element so seamless, even working with our friends who sang the processional music to provide them with instrumental backup. He nailed the wedding party welcome at the start of the reception, and kept us on schedule with the cake cutting and last dance. Guests raved about him and were on the dance floor the whole time. He even helped with my brother with a surprise brother/sister dance, followed by a break dance routine my brother did that our families are STILL talking about! He was so great to work with, and we were so happy with the results. If we lived in the Phoenix area, we’d hire him for all of our celebrations!

The very moment I booked this DJ service, everything was exactly the way I hoped it would go. Simple booking process, Brenda the Office Manager was easy to work with, get ahold of, answer any questions. Then she booked Jeff as our DJ and I cannot tell you how amazing he was. We met with him went over song lists, likes/dislikes and he was so easy to talk with. He also can do music editing because my husband is a big sublime fan so we did our grand intro to Pawn Shop and he edited it to loop with the bridal party entrance song. Super cool! He played awesome music all night, was a big part of keeping the crowd alive and dancing. He also made rounds to each of the tables to get feedback and song requests. Nice touch. We LOVED DJ Jeremy!! I don't think there was a single time in the night where the dance floor wasn't packed with people. We had many comments from people in attendance about how good he was. We also had a slideshow and he played music videos throughout the night. We haven't seen that at any of the wedding we've been to.

The whole Ray The DJ team was helpful throughout the planning process. Whenever we had a concern or question they were very responsive and helpful in answering us. I can't imagine you could go wrong with anyone on their team.

What a guy!!! Fun, outgoing really got the party started. He was a joy to have for the evening MC our events. He started the introduction of family and wedding party to "Let's get the Party Started"!!! Before we event got food started everyone attending was on the dance floor and the dancing continued all night long. Definaltely you need Jeff at your event. We worked with Jeremy and it was a seamless planning experience, which was amazing considering we were planning a wedding from Milwaukee! Jeremy was fabulous and sent us song lists and suggestions before we had our Skype meetings. He understood our style completely and created an incredible night for us that exceeded our expectations. I think everyone's feet were hurting by the end of the night because he had ALL of us up and dancing! Jeremy was great! My husband and I found him very easy to work with. We asked for a few mixes for dances and Jeremy was great at helping us with our special requests. Mike and I were looking for an interactive and fun DJ and we got just that with Jeff from Ray the DJ. He was great and he really knows how to do this job well. A DJ is much more than playing music for guests, its interacting with the guests. Jeff went to every table and introduced himself and encouraged requests. So many of our guests commented on how nice this simple gesture was. Mike and I are passionate about our music and it was important that the music represented “us”. When we met with Jeff, Mike had prepared a rather lengthy listing of music for Jeff to play. Jeff was appreciative of our music passion and everyone was up dancing that evening.

Ray the DJ was amazing! He was very professional and attentive to our needs. He met with us twice because we didn't have many ideas of what we wanted and was very patient. He kept the party going by changing up the music when people started to sit down. He wanted to ensure he got everyone's name correct so he had us tell him how to pronounce the names. I would definitely recommend him.

I really can't say enough good things about Jeremy with Ray the DJ. When Jon and I met with Jeremy- we had some very specific requests for our music choice. We wanted to focus primarily on 60's, 70's, and 80's, and wanted to veer away from any top 40. My husband and I prefer rock, punk and old school country music and were very deliberate in our requests. I must say- Jeremy carried our crowd like it was a piece of cake. I got SO MANY complements on the music! Jeremy was a joy to work with and a lot of fun too!

We had Randall from Ray the DJ at our wedding and he was absolutely fabulous. When we first sat down to talk with him a few weeks ahead of the wedding, we felt so comfortable with him - we sat at starbucks for multiple hours just talking about life! We used Ray the DJ on recommendation from our venue and ended up working with Jeff who was absolutely wonderful. We knew when we first met him that he would be a perfect DJ for our wedding. He was just fun to talk to, had a great sense of humor and was always laughing. Originally, my uncle was supposed to provide the entertainment for our wedding. However, plans changed as my uncle retired from DJ'ing and was able to sell his equipment. Ray the DJ stepped in and did a great job. My uncle said that Ray was definitely a professional and was amazing. We enjoyed Ray's real enthusiasm (some DJ's just act fake) as well as his attentiveness. His song selection outside of what we asked for kept the reception going and everyone having a good time. Our reception was a blast and that is mostly due to Ray's work.

Jeff was AWESOME!!!! He made our wedding sooooo much fun! I wish we could have another wedding just so we have another party with Jeff. He honestly enjoys what he does - and you can totally tell. He makes everyone feel comfortable. We had a smaller wedding - of about 83 guests - but he made sure the dance floor was packed most of the night. We don't like traditional "cheesy" wedding music - so I had created a hug "do not play" list. Jeff totally made it work. And, everyone LOVED him. I cannot say enough nice things about him.
