When making the decision on who to choose for videographers, we didn't know where to start or how we would make our decision. After seeing a clip of Nate's work online and speaking to him, our decision was made. Although we did not meet Nate (or his co-videographer) until the day of our wedding, we were not worried at all because Nate was able to answer all of our questions over the phone and through email and we felt he had a good understanding of what we wanted and didn't want on our video. We had 2 videographers (one with me, one with my husband) who were able to capture all of the memories. When I saw the clip of our wedding online,I was overjoyed! And I was so eager to see more! When I watched the completed DVD, I was blown away. It made me laugh, cry, and smile until my face hurt. The most important typical wedding moments were captured, as expected. But it was the unexpected moments that caught me off guard- little things we said or did, glances, smiles, dance moves, etc. The video showed almost all of our 190 or so guests. It was romantically done with a great muscial selection, artistic and creative arrangement, and with passion and professionalism. Reaching Roots is not the least expensive videographer you can find, but you pay for what you get. I am so grateful that we invested our money into our video because it is the closest way for us to relive our wedding again and again. It is the gift that really keeps giving. I can't say enough good things. I am so happy to have worked with Reaching Roots and one of my bridesmaids is using them in the fall. We love Nate at Reaching Roots! He's so talented! Before and after our wedding day he was incredibly responsive and helpful. On our wedding day, we barely even knew he was there! His equipment is completely unobtrusive, he's so fun and sweet, and we just had the greatest experience with him. I would give him 6 stars if I could.

We are obsessed with our wedding video and so are all of our friends and family! We have been contacted by so many people telling us how impressed they are with Nate's work. We have tons of friends who work in tv and film and they are so impressed with the artistic and creative energy that Nate put into our video. Its like no other wedding video i've seen. I can watch it over and over again...and we're not the only ones saying that! In addition to his talent, he's a gem to work with. He felt more like a guest than someone we hired. I can not say enough wonderful things about Nate. I was hesitant to have a wedding video as my husband and I are not really people who like to be the center of attention and we thought it would be uncomfortable. Then we saw a Reaching Roots video and immediately changed our minds. Nate was so professional, helpful, and knowledgable. Our mini-video was posted in days - we watched it on our honeymoon! Our full wedding video is like no other wedding video I've ever seen - our friends and family actually enjoy watching it (which honestly is not the case with most wedding videos.) Nate captured our day and never made us feel like we were being watched the entire time. In fact, I am not sure how he managed to get everything he did because he was so unobtrusive. I feel very lucky to have found Reaching Roots Studios - I've watched a lot of wedding videos and have never seen anything on par with what Nate produces.

my husband and i were agreeably adamant about having a wedding that was anything but traditional or conventional, doing things a little bit differently than we had been familiar with from those weddings we had attended. we asked his aunt to become ordained and perform the ceremony, my then thirteen year old nephew gave me away, no maid or honor or best man, only surrounded at the altar by all the children of the next generation of our family. so when it came to traditions like photo and video-graphers, it was an absolute no-no. two weeks before the wedding, however, i wondered if i was making a mistake and would regret not having captured this glorious day on film. i did a websearch and found a reaching roots video clip and knew instantly that nate was the guy that i wanted at our wedding, his style absolutely suiting our personalities. he completely understood where we were coming from, and was more than willing to oblige, only offering suggestions he thought we should consider. and he led us in the right direction. the completed product still brings tears to our eyes, a video that everyone seems to enjoy watching (no, really, no dreading the "who would like to watch our wedding video" question!).
nate is not just a typical videographer, turning over a simple wedding video. rather, expect to receive an oscar worthy short film, with the movie subject your wedding day. i couldn't say enough about him, nor emphasize how pleased we are with the finished product. he managed to capture the very essence and emotion we set out when planning our wedding day and, luckily, i now have a video that will remind us for years to come.

If you're looking for a wedding video that you'll want to watch over and over again (and that your family and friends will want to watch over and over again!), then Nate is your guy. We cannot say enough about his creativity, professionalism and eye for detail. We didn't meet Nate and his crew until our big day, but with his easygoing, unobtrusive nature, we forgot within minutes that he was catching every little moment on video. The end result was amazing and people are still telling us almost a year later, "It's the best wedding video I've ever seen, I forwarded it to everyone I know." We were able to partner with Nate on the full-length version and he incorporated our music selections along with some neat twists of his own. Our preview video was ready by the last night of our honeymoon- the perfect way to end it. He captured everything perfectly, better than we remembered in that happy, emotional blur of a day. It's a shame you only get one wedding in your lifetime, as we would work with Nate again in a heartbeat! He's a rockstar that will make YOU look like a rockstar on the biggest day of your life.

For me videography was a necessity. I want to be able to look back and hear the voices of people who have passed on, show my kids what a great time everyone had, or just be romantic and listen to us saying our vows again. For the groom he wasn't sure video was worth spending the money on. However, now he says be sure to get a videographer because nothing captures real life moments like video.

One of my favorite memories of the whole event is Nate filming the kids flying kites. Just as he's filming, one of the flower girls changes direction and heads straight towards Nate with her kite. He ducks and rolls with the video camera, a big smile on his face.

All I can say is I admire Nate for creating a business for himself that he can have passion for his work everyday. And let me tell you having that passion for his work really shows in the video. He is an amazing person and does amazing work and I was so pleased that he was able to capture our wedding memories for us.

Nate was extremely easy to work with. I booked him the week of my wedding and didn't even sign the contract until the day of. Nate showed up early and captured everything. He stayed up late to finish my sneak peak video before I left for my honeymoon and I loved the product. He made a full length video and sat with me while I watched it and made comments. Everything was perfect and he was happy to make the few changes I requested. I am so happy that I have moments of my wedding on film. He helped show me things I couldn't see the day of. I highly recommend.
