They were recommended to me by 2 friends and I highly recommend RDDJs as well. Very efficient in meeting and responding to any questions via phone or email. I didn't want a tacky DJ that used props and was constantly talking or playing songs like the Chicken Dance. I also didn't want our reception to sound/feel like a high school prom, and RDDJs was exactly what I was looking for. They only played the music we had discussed, and if a song wasn't a hit, they would fade into something new right away to keep the party going!

Jon was fantastic to work with! He played every song requested at our 12/31/09 wedding, and had some incredibly clever ideas throughout the reception. I had so many people come up to us during the reception, after the reception, and even weeks after the event - to tell us what a great dj we had. Jon is flexible, open, and has remarkable musical talent!

We had a fantastic experience with Jon and Real Deal DJs. Jon kept the night moving, and kept our dance floor crowded. He listened to all of our do's and dont's, and it was so refreshing to not have to listen to any DJ "cheese." Pricing was very reasonable, and Jon was very professional. The equipment used was also fairly compact which was perfect for our smaller reception space. I would most definitely recommend Real Deal DJs.

We totally would recommend this business to anyone! We had had a band set for our wedding, but last minute they backed out. Well, thank god for Real Deal Djs-John worked with us with the contract and music selection. John also did all of the set up the day prior and had Justin as our Dj. You know when your own family says the Dj felt like family, Justin was phenomenal. He was out on the dance floor teaching my new husband dance steps, he mc'd the event for us, he helped direct our guests to each moment-cake cutting, first dance, etc. I could go on and on, plus the price was in our price range and very affordable. I absolutely recommend them for any upcoming event!

We did not use Jon, the main DJ. He was booked for our date, so his assistant Ryan did our reception. Ryan was great, not cheesy at all, and kept the dance floor hopping. The music was loud enough to dance to, but not so loud that people couldn’t talk, which was great. Even though Ryan was our DJ for the reception, all of our contact was with Jon, which I think caused a few issues in the telephone type way. Anything we thought of last minute, or even before, we had to tell Jon, and then Jon had to tell Ryan. This led to a few slip-ups like Ryan not knowing when we were supposed to cut the Cake, or who was doing toasts, but those were easily remedied.
We also used Real Deal DJs for our ceremony music. Jon was great at helping us pick out our ceremony music, and also taking music that we wanted that he didn’t have. My processional was a song my DH had written and recorded, so we had to get that to Jon, as well as some other songs that we wanted that we found. The song DH wrote was a piano solo, so it was interesting finding other ceremony music that wouldn’t overpower it, but Jon had great suggestions, and really helped us figure that out.
A few weeks before the wedding, Jon told us that he had decided that it would be difficult to get the equipment and the DJ back and forth between our two locations quickly enough, so he was going to have his other assistant Jay do our ceremony music, with a full second set of equipment at no extra cost to us. That was fine, but I think it led to our one major mishap. We were supposed to have a mic for our officiant at the ceremony. In early e-mails and in our initial meetings we discussed it and Jon said it would be no problem. In out final meeting we were focusing on figuring out our ceremony music, and since everything else we confirmed from our initial meeting he had already taken care of, we didn’t bring the mic up (a bit our fault to not reconfirm it – I know.) Come the day of the wedding, there is no mic at the ceremony. I think that when Ryan was going to use the same equipment for ceremony and reception, it would have already been there, but with the switch it wasn’t and no one thought of that. It kind of sucked, because a lot of people couldn’t hear our ceremony. However when I contacted Jon about it after the wedding, and he confirmed that in early e-mails he had committed to a mic at the ceremony, he apologized and refunded half the price of the ceremony. It was a big screw-up, but he made every effort to own up to it and rectify it, so I was happy with that. I would definitely still recommend him, just make sure you confirm all of the important details at the final meeting.

He really made the reception!
First we had an outdoor wedding and he played the music for us which was soooooo awesome! because I do not know what we would have done otherwise.
Then he pretty much made the reception there was not one time when there was not someone out on the dance floor. My wedding was really the best one I have ever been too and I am not saying that because it was my wedding but because he really did an awesome job.
He also showed up about an hour before the wedding to set up which was extremely appreciated!
