Loyd Calomay from Red 5 Studios completely blew our minds on May 28, 2011! He was absolutely amazing in creating a wedding reception entrance video that we filmed weeks prior that actually went VIRAL! It was a concept film with the Inception spoof that led to a twist... a HELICOPTER landing! It's a must see. I placed the link at the end of this review.

I've been following Loyd for quite sometime, even before my proposal to my now wife. I've always believed in him & he never let me down in impressing me with his art. I just had to have him document the greatest day of our lives.

Loyd is very professional & timely. He was able to crank out a Same Day Edit plus our concept film just hours before the reception! The next day after the wedding, our video was already up on the net and going viral! He was also able to edit my surprised dance to my wife, a TV spot & even a "premiere" version of the INCEPTION / RECEPTION viral video! We love his passion & energy. He's not someone that shoots for a living because he has to to provide. You know in his heart he loves what he does & we can't ask for anyone else to document the biggest day of our lives. What was important for my wife & I was to find vendors that actually "love" what they do. That's hard to find nowadays.

We definitely recommend Loyd Calomay to any couple who wants to live in the moment & enjoy life. I see too many couples out there that lack love, lack life, lack energy! Working with Loyd will bring out the passion in you & your better half. In all honesty, no one really wants to watch your "typical" wedding video. Many are boring. Loyd's creativity brings life to your special day. It won't be boring & it's guaranteed to go viral! Haha, jk, well maybe!

AMAZING!!!!! Loyd was awesome to work with and a complete pleasure to have be part of our wedding.... EVERYONE raved and is still raving about his same day edit... we don't have a doubt in our minds the video will be just as great.. we have a list of friends and family asking for his contact information after the wedding!!!! ps we just returned from our honeymoon and this is the first thing I do, does it not show enough of how awesome he is!!!

Although he was a last-minute booking for us due to budget constraints, we really liked his work and decided to splurge... and he did not disappoint! We loved our Same Day Edit and received many compliments from our guests. Loyd was very reasonable and super easy to work with, he even let us use his projector to play our slideshow during the reception. Red 5 Studios was definitely one of our favorite vendors and we would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Of our vendors, Red 5 Studios was among our favorites. We are so thrilled to have had them as part of our wedding day. They were actually a last minute addition to our team of vendors. My cousin's equipment was damaged on a recent trip to Vietnam, so we had to scramble to find a videographer for the same-day edit.

Loyd and his wife, Hazel, truly went above and beyond. I have heard nothing but compliments on how nice and professional they were throughout the day. Our groomsmen were also impressed by Loyd's state-of-the-art equipment -- he had cameras "just like those in the movies."

Loyd was akin to a ninja, incognito and discreet but still able to capture key moments. He included many meaningful and touching parts in our SDE. I had given him a list of 5 songs from which to choose, and he e-mailed back that the SDE would be a song from the list but that he would keep it a surprise! It was too close to the wedding to finagle it out of him. I am so glad he chose Muse' "Starlight!"

Despite a minor technical difficulty in playing the SDE during the reception, we still give him props, especially as he stayed past his time and waited for us to finish all of our table greetings. ;P

We are happy to refer Loyd and Hazel to any and all of our friends. They are a talented couple, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
