Red Shutter Studio

We are a husband and wife photography team that specializes in special event and wedding photography and we're based in Charleston, South Carolina, the #2 wedding destination in the country.

• We have been told that we are very easy to work with, no egos, and lots of fun. All our couples have become our friends so that may tell you what it's like to work with us. You can check out our RAVES page to see what some of our folks have said or if you want references, just give me the name of one or more of our past couples and we'll put you in contact with them. Bottom line is we love what we do and we love people!

• We also own and operate a graphic design studio, entering our 11th year in business. So we do design and photography full time. This isn't a weekend gig for us. What does that matter you ask? Fast turn-around, that's what. We don't have a job to go to on Mondays. It's all you baby!

• We're relaxed, laid back and unobtrusive. I'll fool around to try and get a laugh out of you during the few posed shots during the day. I'm pretty good at it too. We understand this is your day and we don't try and be the event. We'll come in close for a shot here or there and then disappear into the shadows again. You and your family are our guests so in the middle of the reception, if Uncle Joe wants a photo of him and his old pal who is in attendance, we'll be happy to oblige. Just as long as you aren't cutting the cake or throwing your bouquet at the girls at that moment.

* We have lived in beautiful Charleston since 2006, moving here from our home state of California via Arizona. Our daughter's grandparents live in South Carolina, so we moved her closer to them.
