They spent plenty of time with us, took nice romantic photos, and went above and beyond in so many things! We were very happy with their service. Their first priority is clearly to provide great service and photos and memories, not just to have a business.

Connie was amazing. We were lucky enough to book her at the last-minute due to an issue with another vendor. She worked with us to create a package that would fit our needs and budget. And we were more than happy with her services. She captured beautiful images and really had an artist's eye. Everyone is amazed with our photos. Connie was very easy to work with and it was a pleasure having her as our photographer!

Reflections by Rohne was very professional and captured all of the perfect moments from our big day. Not only did they capture great photos of the ceremony, but they were there from start to finish to capture everything from the anticipation of getting ready to the excitement of the reception.

Very unique pictures, and very rapid turnaround time from when we ordered until the time we received our portraits. The photographers were able to follow me around the entire day and capture memories of my whole day. I was very impressed with the professionalism and would definitely recommend them to others!

Do you have liability insurance?

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

Connie has been using Photoshop since 1993 and does all her own artwork, keeping your costs to a bare minimum. She retouches blemishes, scars, unwanted tatoos, fixes eyes, even removes or inserts object or people to create picture perfect memories for you.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

We shoot in all kinds of light. We love light and dark and the ability to use it to capture moods and dramatic features.

Is your media preference film or digital?

We use only digital, but have 15 years experience with medium format film cameras which influences the depth of quality we demand from digital images.

How many photographers do you work with?

Depending on the size of your event, you get one, two or three photographers and if desired a videographer.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

When you book Reflections by Rohne, Connie Rohne will be at your event. The assistant photographer is usually Joshua Rohne, but this can vary ocassionally.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?

When we book a wedding, our entire day is reserved for that event only. We do not book anything else. If we schedule a wedding shoot on a day separate from the wedding, we sometimes book other portrait sessions, but nothing that will interfere with your wedding shoot or my focus and energy to be most creative for it.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

Connie has two assistant photographers and knows several other professional photographer in the area. In the event that she is unable to shoot your wedding, she will find another photographer who can shoot your wedding for the agreed upon commission, and meet with you prior to the event.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?

We bring 2-3 cameras, one full format and two medium format, multiple off camera flashes, multiple studio umbrellas and studio strobe lights to create perfect light when it is not available, multiple reflectors and scrims to control light, computer, slideshow viewer (style and size agreed upon with you). We also bring studio backgrounds when there are not an abundance of nice places for photographs.

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?

Absolutely. It's listed in the kind of equipment we bring.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

We have three commissioned packages, although they are adjustable to meet your needs. When we discuss your wedding needs and plans, we agree upon a total package amount. There are no additional charges unless you decide to upgrade something before your album is completed.

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?

Yes, we're available. Depending on what is being photographed there may or may not even be an additional charge. All of this will be discussed during our interview time.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

It is customary that a meal is included for my photographers if we are staying to photograph your reception where a meal is being served. We stagger our eating so that we do not miss anything going on or any candid photos.

Do you charge for travel?

Wedding within an hour of Grand Rapids have no travel charge. Wedding that are over an hour are charged $50 per hour extra time. (So a wedding 2 1/2 hours from Grand Rapids would have a travel change of $150 for time coming and going.)

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Proofs are ready for viewing about 8 days after the wedding. We like to schedule a date about one to two weeks after the wedding to see the proofs as well as the album layout. This is usually perfect timing after you return from your honeymoon.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

All proofing is digital. You will view them on a large screen at my studio. Once you have approved what you want others to see, we will create a gallery on our website for you to share with others. Family and friends may also order prints off of this website gallery.

How long can the client keep the proofs?

Online proofs are available for several months after the wedding.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

Yes, we retain the copyright for the photos. Your wedding images are the most important photographs of your life and you deserve to have the highest quality prints available. For this reason, we only allow prints to be made from a professional photo lab. We do provide quality digital files that you can print up to an 8X10 print from with my mid-range and upper-end packages. These are perfect for any digital uses you have and for small prints.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

When you sign a contract with Reflections by Rohne you are also giving us permission to use your images for advertising and display (such as on this site). We sometimes submit an image to contests as well.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?

We provide digital quality images on a DVD with my mid-range and upper-end packages. These are perfect for any digital uses you have and for small prints (up to 8x10).

Will images be available for viewing online?

Absolutely. You will have your own gallery on my website that you, your family, and all your friends may view and link to facebook and twitter and such.

What kind of albums do you offer?

My base package includes a storybook album, it is a bound book with flexible photograph pages, made in Germany. It looks gorgeous but not as luxurious as my mid-range package artbook album which is a bound leather style album with non-flexible photograph pages. My top of the line package includes either an artbook with an artcover and more pages than the mid-range album or a traditional matted leather album.

When will the client get the final album?

We complete the album layout within two to three weeks of the wedding. Once you approve the layout, it is submitted for printing and is completed in two to six weeks depending on style of album.
