Remo' s Catering

We have been using Remo's Catering for 9+ years. They have always been flexible, professional, and creative with their menu. For our rehearsal dinner they suggested a steelers tailgate menu , it was a huge hit! We are 100% satisfied and will be using them again and again!

We looked into a lot of caterer's for our wedding... but Remo's had a fantastic price, excellent food and they were so accomodating. They let us do whatever we wanted with the menu, and they had great ideas!! Lesya was great to work with! Her communication was excellent! We will definately use Remos again, They were fantastic to work with! It was a pleasant experience!!

Our wedding was absolutely amazing! We couldn't have asked for more delicious food! The service was perfect and our venue looked absolutely stunning! We also had our rehearsal dinner @ the Remos facility and our food and service there were also amazing. They were very nice in accommodating our Pittsburgh Penguins fans by allowing them to watch the game from the bar. I highly recommend their services to everyone I know looking for a caterer. We are so happy we chose Remos for our wedding! PERFECT is the only way to describe their service and food :) thank you all so much for your amazing hard work!!!!

My husband and I were married at The Mayernik Center in Avonworth Community Park on 10-22-11. We chose Remo's to cater our wedding and we couldn't be happier! The food was absolutely delicious! Our guests are still raving about the food and the friendly staff! Everything was organized and they were extremely easy to work with! Janet was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. Everything ran so smoothly and we all had a wonderful time! We will definitely recommend Remo's to anyone looking for a caterer for their special event!

Remo's Catering did a wonderful job for my October wedding. They were very professional and even went above and beyond to ensure that the myself and my husband had all that we neened throughout the evening. For the price, you simply cannot beat them!

Remo's Catering did an amazing job at our wedding recently! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Many of our guests commented on how wonderful the service was (we got the beef carved tableside-very impressive to guests). They were a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process as well. I would recommend Remo's to any couple looking for an impressive Italian American meal (with other options as well) at an affordable price!

When we saw the Remo's was one of our catering options for our wedding venue we didn't even bother trying the other places. We knew Remo's was the best and they exceeded our expectations.

Excellent service.....the staff went above and beyond to help us set up and prepare for our day. The food was great....we had asked for different vegetable dishes and unfortunately had one choice option. But the overall service out weighed that issue. I ahd called several caterers in the beginning of our planning and Remo's immediately scheduled time to discuss their service. Other caterers didnt bother calling back even after a second call!

The food was excellent and the service was above and beyond our expectations. The staff had great attitudes and attentative to our guest. We were able to enjoy the wedding and reception and did not feel we had to check on things.

They did a great job. Everyone loved the food and there was no hassle. However, they failed to mention some details at our first meeting. I didn't know about the service charge they tack on and that there is shipping on any napkins you rent that aren't theirs. I'd reccommend them.

Remo's Catered my wedding in August and I am SO happy I went with them! The food was wonderful - all of my guests raved about how much they loved the selection and 'home made' taste! If I ever need catering done in the future for an event, Remo's will be the one I call. And Janet was so wonderful to work with, I highly recommend Remo's if you are looking someone to cater your wedding!!

I had them for my caterers for a buffet style dinner, they were curious and prompt. Most of the food was great, some tasted extremely plain. But overall I would use again!!

My daughter's wedding reception on July 9th was held in Remo's Banquet Room on Babcock Blvd. The room was very nice and there was an adjoining dance floor and bar area that was large with hardwood floors. The service was wonderful and the food was outstanding. All of our guests commented about how delicious the food was. They raved about the Chicken Marsala! During this whole process of planning I asked Janet a million questions. She answered every one of them and told me to trust her "everything will be beautiful." I had never heard of Remo's before I didn't really know what we were getting into. But I trusted Janet and everything turned out beautifully. Thank you Susan and especially Janet, you both did an amazing job.

Remo's did a fantastic job catering my July 3, 2011 wedding. They were easy to work with, had great ideas and were very helpful with the planning process. The day of the event, all of my guests raved about how good the food was (great tasting, perfect portions). They kept the dinner moving so that the reception did not lag. And afterwards they were very helpful with cleanup. I would recommend Remo's to any bride!

Remo's was wonderful to work with and their food was amazing. We had a lot of family come in from NYC and everyone said that it was some of the best wedding food that they have ever had. (they all have high standards) We opted for the buffet style with Stuffed Chicken, PrimRib and Shells all really rally good. I would also like to say that the staff went above and beyond. At one point the we ran out of OJ for the bar and one of the staff went to the store to get some. They saved the day!!! The venue that we used required that we clean everything up that night and the staff was right there helping. Thank you so much for such a wonderful day.

Remos did an amazing job. They were very flexible and helpful during the planning process. At the wedding all of the food looked amazing and tasted even bettter than it did during the tasting. Janet was right there to welcome me and congratulate me as soon as I arrived and they were all very attentive throught the reception. Dishes were cleared quickly and efficiently as well. I really don't have any complaints and would highly reccommend them.

While I had a beautiful wedding and reception, there were a few set backs along the way. First of all, they had my wedding scheduled for May 14, 2010...not May 2011. So that caused a bit of a breakdown prior to figuring out what the mistake was. Then, I was told I would be able to have the entire hall the night before the wedding to decorate. The day before the rehearsal, they called and said it wasn't possible. I don't know the particulars of who scheduled what, but we were told by two people that we would be able to decorate. Anyway, they recovered and the decor that they did for us with what I provided was beautiful. Also, make sure you tell them to use wine glasses and when I was about to be announced into the reception, I noticed the bar tender serving wine ion plastic cups...how tacky!!! I told him to use wine glasses, which he did, but he informed me that unless he was told to use them, he usually doesn't. The main problem I noticed with Remos is that they have too many people helping you, so I recommend that when you book with them you deal with one specific person. Janet is VERY nice and so is Becky.

All of my guests loved the food and everything tasted great! We were very please with how all of the food turned out!

Absolutely amazed with Remo's. Food was wonderful, served hot and on time. If there were any problems... I knew nothing about it and was able to remain stress free the entire night. Highly recommend this venue.

It was a pleasure working with Remo's for my bridal shower and wedding. They are such a friendly and professional company with which to work. Everyone loved the food, and their services are great. It's been five months since my special day, and we continue to get compliments. Remos -- thanks again.

Terrific service!

I was very excited to work with Remo's Catering for our picnic style wedding and reception. We decided to have a BBQ type reception and Remo's offers on site grilling which was perfect for our needs.When I first met with Becky, everything was really great. The food tasting was wonderful and Becky was very nice and personable. We chatted via email throughout the planning process and things seemed to go relatively smoothly. She even let me borrow a few table linens to see how they would look at our venue.However, the day of the wedding brought major disappointment. Remo's was over an hour late, causing a severe delay in set up time. Since we had rented our linens through Remo's, we could not set up our tables until they arrived. When they did finally arrive, they did not know which linens went on the guest tables and which linens went on the food tables. It caused another 10 minute delay while the gentleman in charge of our day called Becky to find out where our guest table linens were. Fortunately, they did bring them otherwise we would not have had any linens on the picnic tables, which happened to be a major part of the color scheme. So basically we had about 40 minutes to set up before the wedding. Well, I was running around, fully dressed and ready to go trying to make sure things were being set up properly while I had guests showing up and watching me. There were a few other minor set backs to the day caused by Remo's but I will just say that I am severely disappointed in their lack of communication, their promptness, and their lack of caring at all about how their tardiness affected the rest of the day. I have contacted Becky twice, once via email and once via phone with no apology or any offerings to make up for the service that we were given. I guess since they have my money, nothing else matters.

Remo's was AMAZING!!!!They did everything perfect and we even got a free candy buffet that was a HUGE hit!!!!We received a ridiculous amount of compliments on the food and candy!You won't be disapointed!

When searching for a caterer, we wanted something a little out of the box for our casual, quirky wedding... and Remo's was the perfect choice. They provided us with a delicious "upscale BBQ" themed buffet, with just about everything on the menu coming straight off of the grill. The chicken was grilled to perfection and offered a BBQ "sauce bar" (I recommend the Blueberry BBQ sauce... but all got rave reviews!), the grilled vegetable medley with a balsamic drizzle was to die for, and the mac and cheese (a homestyle comfort food that was on the groom's must-serve list) was the perfect compliment to the fresh-off-the-grill entrees. I didn't get a chance to taste the beef, but my guests raved about it. The interactive melon station was a huge crowd pleaser and a lighter alternative to the cake and cupcakes we provided. Everything was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we asked for... for a fraction of the price of every other caterer we interviewed! I have worked in catering, and I know how difficult it is to provide hot, fresh food to a large group of people while also providing exceptional service, and Remo's nailed it. Our servers were exceptionally pleasant (even when an over-excited guest made a red wine mess right next to the bridal table!), and over-all, we couldn't have asked for anything more. I was especially thankful for their flexibility in creating a personalized menu that covered both my and my groom's wide tastes, and providing plenty of choices for my vegetarian guests. I recommend Remo's to anyone looking for a caterer for any event.

The food was amazing. We did not get anything free included like someone else said they did, that might have been nice. The staff was not all that personalble. When I paid a complament and also asked how someones family member was doing I was brushed off. The price was a little high, we had too much food left over. We even paid for extra guests, in reality we may not have needed to since there was so much food left over. All in all some little issues aside, the food is amazing and they have the best italian dressing. No issues with the food and thats what you want.

The catering staff were very supportive and helpful through the planning process and on the day of the wedding. We received lots of compliments on the food, and and on the set-up. Any questions we had were answered in a timely manner, and any problems were handled swiftly and without notice.

Remo's worked with us to mix and match the different items for our menu. They gave us a really good price. When we decided a couple weeks before that we wanted a chocolate fountain, they were able to accomodate us. There was more than enough food for all of our guests and everyone commented how good it was.

We had the stuffed shells, stuffed chicken breast and a beef with a caramelized onion demi glaze sauce and everything was fantastic!! Great service and excellent food.

Remo's is an awesome caterer. We got so many compliments and comments on the food, everyone raved! The entire staff was so professional and thoughtful - they even made a plate of "special" food for our 8 year old nephew who has severe food allergies, and we didn't have to ask, it was thier idea! The setup and presentation was gorgeous, and the food itself was delicious. We are definite foodies so the caterer was a huge deal for us, and we lucked out with Remo's. The prices were very reasonable, and Janet, the catering manager for our venue went out of her way to make me comfortable. I can't thank the entire staff enough for everything they did to make our evening go smoothly - and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Remo's was a great choice for our wedding. Rebecca, who helped us personally throughout the planning, was particularly good. They did not push unnecessary, vague "wedding packages," but provided us with exactly the services we wanted at a reasonable cost. On the morning of my wedding when I called in a frenzy because I had forgotten to buy a cake server as I'd planned, the man I spoke with took my frazzled nerves in stride and made sure one was sent with the delivery. And when I confessed to the server I didn't know how to use it, he patiently walked me through the tradition. In fact, the server was excellent and efficient.

Everything was delicious and just as we planned. Little on the expensive side but it was worth it.

Not only have I used Remos catering for my wedding, but I have also used them for my bridal shower, baby shower and baby's baptism. They have always provided excellent and quality service. The staff was always very helpful and caring regardless what your event was. The food was always very good and I still receive compliments on the great service and great food. I would recommend Remos Catering for any event you are planning.

Remo's did an excellent job. The food tasted great and the presentation was fabulouse. They were very easy to work with and provided great advice. They take care of everything so you have nothing to worry about on your wedding day.

REMO'S was the absoloute BEST we could have ever wanted in a caterer!! We had some experience with Remo's before, at other weddings, and baby showers, but they were even better than expected!! The food was hot, fresh, and had the most fantastic taste ever!! I would recommend them to EVERYONE!! They weren't extremely pricey either, the cost was well worth it!! If yo9u are in the Pittsburgh area, DEFINATELY choose REMO'S!!

Remos was the best place ever to have our dinner reception. And the food was better then I could ever imagine. My husband and I got married while he was on leave from Iraq. He came home from Iraq June 1, 2009, and we had to have something planned during his leave time and it had to be in Pittsburgh, even though we are stationed in Texas. I found Remos in April while visiting my family. They were exceptionally accommodating and worked with me through every step of the way. The night of my dinner reception was perfect! Everyone had a great time and the biggest complaint was there was too much good food and everyone was over-stuffed! My father has been to many (many, many) weddings, from the most expensive to the quaint little family dinners and he said he has never seen appetizers like we had. I would recommend Remos to anyone for any occasion! Thank you Remos for making my special night absolutely perfect!!!!

Remo's Rocks! The service was truly wonderful, and we had a ton of food! We fed a mob the day after our wedding with the leftovers, and everyone loved it. It was delicious and the service was great. Thank you Becky!

Excellent food, excellent service! The business is family-owned, and they have homemade sauces and terrific food (I swear, the tomato sauce was some of the best I've ever had!). They were helpful and flexible, allowing me to make substitutions and assisting in some design and planning issues for the wedding. They were all very friendly, and made planning the catering an enjoyable and simple aspect of planning the wedding. A+

Great food and layout for the price.

Everyone at the wedding was impressed with the food and it really was great. I chose this caterer because family knew the family that owned it.

The food was good and the wait staff worked fast. The only complaints I has was I ordered ivory table linens and if I was not at the hall the day befor they would have put white ones on the table and we has paid to have glass wine glasses but they did not bring them to the hall so they served the wine in plastic cups. They were very helpful when trying to correct the mistakes. We booked on a Friday so it was easier for us to get a date 6 months in advance and they did offer a discount on the food.

Remo's did a wonderful job at our wedding. Our food was well presented and tasted wonderful. They were very professional and affordable. The only thing that I didn't like was that they approached me with the leftovers at the end of the night and made me sign a form that I would be responsible for taking the trays home. If I would have known this prior, I would have made arrangements to donate the leftovers (there was so much extra food that it was a burden to transport and most of it was thrown out.) There is not too much a bride can do at 11pm in her wedding dress with enough food to feed 30 people.Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend using this company for any event. They were wonderful.
