The servers during the reception need to be trained better. Other than that it was good
Huge lack of professionalism. Staff seems to have an attitude of " we are the best, you want to work with us, so it is our way or the highway." No sense of this is your day or your event. Be careful becuase your consultation visit is wonderful, but after that is when you realize their true colors. Also, everything is a tack on charge that is not revealed until much later. Their additional fees for everything changes everytime you go back to discuss it because there is no set charge; its what they feel like they can get out of you. I would never use this location again because of the treatment. The spot itself is nice.
This was the perfect venue for my wedding! The look and feel of the venue was very warm and made you feel very comfortable. The professionalism of Tony was off the charts! He responded quickly to any concern I had and assisted in many things that went above and beyond his responsibility. A quick story: Our rehearsal had to be held late in the evening on the Thursday before the wedding and the venue closes at 6pm. However, they stayed open just so I could use the venue for our rehearsal and there was no question on the issue was going to be solved. I would recommend this venue to everyone!!
Wow what can I say about RENAISSANCE AT THE GABLES, Im totally in love w/ the whole crew ( rose, nancy, tony, cynthia, luis & ect.) from day 1 they embrace me and took me in as 1 of their own. My wedding day has been Bless having them as my venue. Rose- Thank you for waiting to see me before going to your other party and i know those tears you shed was real love you hun, nancy- you rock babe thanks babe my flowers were gorgeous you rock, Tony- although it was my fault that i didnt get the pictures taking in the hotel, your were exquisite and i'm glad you were my photographer, Cynthia- stop reminding me of how crazy I was when I seen the renovation for the scala ballroom; your rock as a bartender all my guest said you kept the drinks coming... My overall experience for my Wedding Day at the Renaissance at the Gables was and is my Dream come true. Recommendation is a totAl thumbs up 1000% plus. muah Renaissance muah! your friend valery
Renaissance catered our wedding as well. The cake was very good, and beautiful.
The owner of the place was very nice the first day when they were trying to get my business, after that she had an attitude of grandiosity. There is an atmosphere of "is my way or the highway" "you need me, I don't need you" kind of deal. The reception was nice but absolutly overpriced, my wedding cost was $8000 and it had only the bare minimum, I was very unhappy with the cake, it looked cheap, the decorations on the table I had to buy them because only the center peace and the eating utensils were included ( I had to spend another $400 worth of things to put on the table so it can look halph decent) and if that wasn't enough I had to pay extra $2000 of a "supposed" tax they charge (aside from the tax we all have to pay) so they charge 2 types of taxes, the tax we all have to pay and "their tax". I thought that was some real bullshit! But I had to continue with the wedding there because I had already payed them halph of the money and I was going to loose it if I didn't. I would not recommend this place to anybody, although is nice inside and big is a rip off, and the owner specially has a nasty attitude. Is just not worth it. The entire time i felt like I was begging them to help me.
I will not recommend this venue to anyone.
Tony (from the office) and Juan Carlos (from catering) were extremely helpful and tried their best to accomplish all my wedding dreams! The food was great, especially the London Broil! The DJ (Charles) was hilarious, he really got the party started.... :0)
The ceremony set up was beautiful! We even got the 'red carpet treatment'.
