It was such a pleasure working with Rev. Boas. He was very responsive from my initial inquiry, and we were immediately comfortable when we met him in person. From our conversation, he customized a service that was perfect for us. He has a wonderful personality and his easygoing nature made us very comfortable during the ceremony.

Rev. Boas was the first officiant we met with and the second we met him we knew he was going to marry us. He was very laid back, friendly and had a great sense of humor which is what we were looking for. We didnt want our ceremony to be an emotional one so we asked if we could have some humor and he did just that.

Thank You Rev. Boas for being a part of our special day and providing excellent service!!!

Rev. Nick J.Boas was amazing, His warm friendly personality made him feel like one of the family. The ceromony was so beautiful and perfect my guest and still talking about it. Nick also drove from the cape to foxboro not only for the wedding but also for the rehersal (which he did not have too) i can wait to renew our vows so nick can marry us again. Thank you Rev. Nick - Nikki and Sean DeMayo

Rev. Nick was great! We live far from the wedding site, so we really needed someone to trust. He let us customize our vows, gave helpful tips, and filed the paperwork immediately. Many people have told me it was the most, "personal" service they ever witnessed. We could never have done that without his flexibility.

Rev. Nick was a joy to work with. He really let us customize our ceremony and added the little details that would make our family happy. He made it very calming and comfortable for us and my nerves never for the best of me. He also filed all of our paperwork for us in a prompt manner. I highly recommend Rev. Nick as an officiant.

About Rev. Dr. Nicholas J. Boas

I earned my Doctorate in Theological Studies and subsequently became an ordained wedding officiant because of my belief in the beauty of the marriage relationship. I enjoy helping you in creating and delivering a ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple.

No question is too simple when it comes to your working with me as your wedding officiant. As a trained counselor, I understand the need for each partner to feel comfortable in emailing me or calling me about a particular question or concern; my service includes unlimited phone conversations and email communications, without my adding any additional fees.

On a personal note, I've been told that I am a very kind, flexible and engaging person who can communicate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Because I am a former college administrator and professor of Humanities and Social Sciences, I am an excellent public speaker who projects a professional image that you, your family and friends will respect and appreciate for your special wedding day.

What officiant services do you provide?

Interfaith Ceremony, Non-religious Ceremony, Single Religion Ceremony

What religious affiliations do you serve?

Christian (no denomination)

Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?

Yes, I am more than willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?

Yes. A good number of couples I've married ask for customized ceremonies whereby their loved ones give special readings, or they write their own vows. I am very flexible in supporting your dreams for your special wedding day ceremony.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?

Yes. I am aware that couples need to be listened to, and each couple has their unique relationship that they would like to honor with their own written vows. In my initial meeting with each couple, we discuss your desires for how you envision your ideal ceremony to be delivered.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?

No. I have readings pre-selected, from which the couple may choose, but I prefer that each couple I marry feel happy and comfortable with the language of their ceremony, including the wedding vows.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?

No. I do not require that the couple attend pre-marital counseling.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?

Yes, absolutely. Pre-ceremony rehearsals are included as part of my service in order to assure each couple that I am fully committed to preparing for their special wedding day.
