Where do I begin? My husband and I were married at Duke Chapel where 145 of our closest friends and family gathered to celebrate. Our Ceremony was incredibly personalized and moving. The most unique and the most heartfelt Ceremony I have ever witnessed to date. I was in tears, my now husband was glassy eyed, as were the majority of our guests and the entire bridal party. My mother-in-law was in joyous tears. Afterwards, both Steve and I were taken back by the number of guests whom independently approached us to express that our Ceremony was the best Ceremony they had witnessed to date. Comments included (but were not limited to) the originality, the emotional sentiment, and the thoughtfulness which moved the entire Chapel. Kayelily is a master in her profession. She weaved in elements such a secret paragraphs and meaningful passages honoring us as a couple. My husband and I held hands the entire Ceremony aside from the occasional incidences where Kayelily (prepared as always) handed my then fiance a handkerchief to blot my tears. I would recommend Kayelily to any Bride-to-Be reading this post. We are so happy that Kayelily was available to officiate our outdoor wedding in Raleigh. She put together a unique and beautiful ceremony which combined both Hindu and Christian traditions. Her flexibility in working with us while we are living in Texas was helpful, from video conferencing on skype to providing confidence of a smooth wedding when we met her in person on the day of. We could not have asked for a better officiant than Kayelily. We found her through her blog, and I just knew she would be perfect. When I contacted her via email, she responded within the hour and set up a meeting with us at her lovely home. She was so warm and personable, as well as organized and professional. We didn't like the idea of being married by a stranger, but Kayelily felt like a friend. We wanted a simple, non-religious ceremony with no attendants and no rehearsal needed. We got married in front of 50 close friends and family at a downtown restaurant where she has officiated many times. Everything went off without a hitch. Kayelily has a variety of programs that she allowed us to edit to fit exactly what we wanted. We incorporated poems, acknowledgements to family members and our own secret vows. The best part, Kayelily printed out the vows and kept her finger on the words for us to follow along as we spoke. That was a big help because it eliminated the need for us to keep up with a copy during the ceremony. She even wiped the lipstick from my hubby's mouth before we did the recessional, so he wouldn't have red smudges for the photos. She also brought a microphone so everyone could hear what was being said. She also took care of mailing off the forms so by the time we got back from our honeymoon, a certified copy of our license had arrived from the Register of Deeds office.
If you're thinking about using Kayelily, don't hesitate. She made our special day more memorable by being low-maintenance (just like us), taking care of the details and focusing on us. Our guests loved her, too.

Kayelily was a god-send! I was so lucky to find her! She worked with us every step of the way and made our ceremony the most memorable I've ever heard. It was all about us. Kayelily was great! I lost count of how many family and friends made specific note of her kindness. I especially liked her ability to "gather the troops" as our wedding was fairly casual! When I first met Kayelily, I was immediately impressed by her professionalism and decorum. I was equally impressed by her honesty and humor. Over the months Tom and I crafted our ceremony and it was by far the most important and fun thing we did together. I can honestly say the finished product 100% represented Tom and I. Kayelily worked with us frequently to update our ceremony because of Tom's sister and Mom being unable to attend. She not only helped us craft the perfect words to bring them to memory, but also reached out with spiritual and emotional support. After the ceremony, we got nothing but rave reviews from our guests. Our ceremony was perfect. It was funny, sweet and just what Vaughn and I wanted. Everyone has raved about the ceremony since the wedding. It was so intimate and we loved it!

Whether you have a pastor and you want a different but special ceremony or if you are new to the area and do not have a church home yet, Reverend Middleton will be the PERFECT choice! My familys' pastor was a no show for counseling and the rehearsal and my wedding planner found Rev. Middleton and she provided a ceremony that was special, personalized, professional and she reassured us that she would be in attendance. Upon this short notice, she let us review, correct and approve of the ceremony and vows and surprised us with personalized vows that almost made me cry! Countless guests commented on the warm, sincere vows/ceremony. My cousin was so engaged in the words that she opted not to remove her toddler from the ceremony so she could hear all of the words! It was just a lovely, lovely day!

Kayelily Middleton was the officiant for my our wedding Friday September 14, 2012. She had officiated for my sister two years ago so when we got engaged we knew exactly who to go to!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend her to any couple! She gave us a ton of material to look at to choose our "perfect wedding ceremony". We choose a modern ceremony and even put together our own vows so we were able to express exactly what we wanted to! She has a little bit of everything from traditional, modern to spiritual. Absolutely LOVED working with Kayelily to create the most perfect wedding ceremony we could have dreamed of. Reverend Kayelily is amazing! Our guests are still talking about how wonderful our ceremony was. It was so hot that day at our outdoor wedding, but many didn't even notice since they were so caught up in listening to our story. Kayelily was very responsive throughout the whole process of creating our ceremony. She was quick to answer any questions that we had. When it came time to set a date, my fiance and I chose the most popular weekend in the universe to get married. The officiant search was looking pretty bleak, as everyone was booked solid. Then we found Rev. Kayelily Middleton. I contacted her (not expecting her to be available) and was overjoyed when she told me she could work us into her schedule. I had heard many good things about Rev. Kayelily from her blog, reviews, and several officiants in the area. They were all true and then some! I cannot describe how pleased I am with the incredible personalized ceremony that she wrote for us. The vows, addresses, and prayer were so eloquently and beautifully written. She took our personalities, values, and relationship into such care and consideration, and with those things in mind, created such a lovely and meaningful experience for us on our special day. She was so patient and understanding through the ins and outs of our wedding planning, and was always available to offer guidance and support. One of the most memorable instances of the ceremony happened when it came time for the sand ceremony with our children. I had forgotten to bring the sand! Rev. Kayelily handled it so well that no one even noticed that I had made that mistake, and continued with the ceremony without the pouring of sand as if nothing had happened. She is truly a pro! We are so blessed she was available to join us in marriage, and will cherish that day and our memories of it for the rest of our lives. I recommend Rev. Kayelily wholeheartedly and without reservation; she was truly an integral part of our day, and I could not imagine anyone else having performed the ceremony!

Kayelily was an amazing minister. We were able to write every part of our ceremony which is exactly what we wanted. We keep hearing people tell us our ceremony was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever been to because it was so personalized. That is what we wanted and what Kayelily gave us. She is a book of knowledge and resources. We also met with her for pre martial counseling and again, we were satisfied with that as well because it went exactly as we had planned.

Kayelily came up with the most wonderful ceremony I've ever heard for our wedding. As an interfaith couple it was very important to us that both our cultures were represented fairly in the ceremony and she succeeded. We received many comments from our guests (from both cultures) about how moving the ceremony was - in fact one of our guests even wanted to re-do her wedding with Kayelily as the officiant!

I am so glad that Rev. Kayelily was our officiant. She gave us tons of material to help us create a personalized wedding ceremony and wove together "our story" beautifully. I most appreciated her lightning fast responsiveness- since my husband and I lived in different states when we were planning our ceremony, so good communication via e-mail was a must. She was open-minded and supportive throughout the planning process. Kayelily ran the rehearsal efficiently and I appreciated she knew how to get things done since just about everyone in the wedding party showed up horribly late, including myself. On the day of, things went wonderfully and I had multiple people come up to me saying how much they liked the ceremony. One person even said "I really liked your officiant!" and my father in law asked if we had a written copy of the ceremony we could e-mail to him- which we did, thanks to Kayelily. I almost deducted half a star for value since her fee was a bit higher than I originally budgeted for an officiant, but in writing this review I realized how much she did for us- so bravo, Kayelily!

Kayelily came very highly recommended to me from my Matron of Honor and she definitly didn't dissappoint. Kayellily personalizes each and every ceremony to fit the personalities of the bride and groom. She supplied us with so much information in which we could pick and choose what we wanted included in our vows. She even included the story of how my husband & I met and came to fall in love. Guests raved about how touching the service was and how we also included my now step children. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Even though Kayelilly wasn't able to make it to our rehearsal (due to a reunion) she gave us such detailed instructions, that the actual day went off without a hitch.

Kayelily was an absolute dream to work with! She was very professional and helpful but also very warm and welcoming when we met her. She had great ideas and embraced our non-traditional ceremony ideas with no hesitations. Kayelily provided us with mountains of materials for us to peruse and use when we were writing our ceremony. We would have been lost without her experience and her written materials.

Kayelily was always prompt in communication with us and was on time for everything. As a type A bride, this was fantastic and kept anxiety levels quite low.

Since our wedding was a little bit non-traditional (e.g., it included a wedding address about zombies) and it was on Halloween weekend, Kayelily added her own special touch to the ceremony, getting permission from the groom before she sprung her surprise on everyone. She came out wearing a red hood and a black mask! The wedding guests didn't know what to do....and I (the bride) was quite confused when I saw her as I processed up to the altar...but her fun idea worked quite well with the ceremony. It's now become quite the conversation starter and we can't wait to see more pictures.

Kayelily helped us make our wedding day very special, very "us," and very different and cool. It's not everyday you find a minister who (a) let's you include a wedding address about zombies in your ceremony and (b) has such fun with a non-traditional bride and groom! We can't speak more highly of Kayelily as our wedding minister!

Five stars all around! Rev. Kayelilly is very attentative to the couples' needs. We chose a small ceremony and chose Rev. Kayelilly's garden. For a small and intimate setting, her garden is perfect.

I need to mention here too, that since I had so much going on, my mother's passing and my dad has cancer; that I put off planning anything til the absolute last minute. I found Kayelilly through a website and she responded the next day and even gave me a list of vendors who do receptions, cakes, flowers and much more.

The actual ceremony she performed for us was perfect. We chose a non-demoninational ceremony; so no religious preference was given but there was prayer as I would have expected and am glad for. Since we've been married before and have children, we done the unity sand and it came out beautiful with all the different colored layers. I let the children choose their sand color. It is something I look at everyday and smile about.

Kayelily helped us to put together a beautiful ceremony that was uniquely ours. We have had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed the ceremony and loved the personal touches of the ceremony.
