Reverend Melody was awesome! She sat with us as a couple, got to know us and made our wedding very personal. She made our day incredibly specialy, our family and friends all commented on how personal she made our ceremony. During the reception, she made it a point to speak to each table. She was a professional, but became a friend. She accomodated us on very short notice but it seemed like we have known her all of our lives!!!!!

Reverend Foxx was great and was very helpful in planning the ceremony. She was also helpful on the wedding day guiding me through as I was extremely stressed and she took charge and knew exactly what she needed to do.

Melody was so great to work with! Very open minded & willing to work with us to insure our wedding really represented us! We felt so comfortable talking to her about our views & never felt pushed to go into an uncomfortable direction. She made it easy for both my husband & I to incorporate both of our needs. She was constantly available for consultation. At both the rehersal & actual ceremony, she was calm, cool & collected & really provided us a "leader" for the day which was great because it was one less thing we had to worry about...especially because we didn't have a wedding corridinator. I would recommend Melody to anyone!

Reverend Melodie really helped my Husband and I come up with a beautiful and heart-felt ceremony. This was something we didn't put much thought into, and she really guided us down the right path. We received a lot of compliments on our wedding ceremony, and it was so nice to have it be so personal. Reverend Melodie was very professional, and also helped coordinate our wedding party at the rehearsal. She was prompt, kind, well spoken and easy to work with. We highly recommend having her as your officiant.

What officiant services do you provide?

Interfaith Ceremony, Non-religious Ceremony, Single Religion Ceremony

Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?

Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?

Yes. I am happy to go most anywhere. I enjoy the "non-religious" and unusual venues.

Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?

Absolutely. This is your ceremony. I do have a couple of things that must be mentioned to make this legal. However, even this can be worded in several ways in order to be comfortable for you.

Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?

Yes. I encourage it. Your promises/vows are the heart of the ceremony. However, I have several examples to help your creative process, if desired.

Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?

No. I do not have any readings that a couple "must choose" from. Again, this is their wedding, and the readings, if any, are their choice.

Do you require that premarital counseling be done?

No. I believe that by the time a couple contacts me that they are ready to go. However, if desired, I do provide pre-marital counseling with a fairly in-depth and structured program. This is usually done in 2-3 sessions.

Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?

I will always attend the rehearsal, if I am available. I also will help coordinate the rehearsal as needed.

Additional Advice

Do you stay for the reception? Yes. It gives me a chance to meet your family/friends and answer any questions they may have. This helps especially when you are having an Interfaith or Spiritual wedding when you have family that has a very set idea on how a wedding "should be". It also allows me an opportunity to enjoy in the love your friends and family has for you and the foundation that will support you two on your journey throughout your marriage.

1) If you feel comfortable and like what the officiant has to offer, then go ahead and book them. If you wait too long, they may not still be available for your specific date. 2) Trust the professionals that you have hired. 3) Delegate and let others help as much as you are willing to let them. Then, let go. 4) Take time for self-care and relaxation before the wedding day. 5) The day of your ceremony, relax and enjoy. Remember that the most important part of this day is that you two are there, surrounded by the people you are closest to, to come together as Husband and Wife. Everything else is just icing on the cake!
