From the moment I spoke to Ken on the phone I knew he was going to be awesome. However, I didn't know that he would exceed my expectations. We wanted something different for the ceremony and cocktail hour, music from some of our favorite musicials. He found all the songs we corrected. We were pleasantly surpirsed at the lights that he brought to our event and he presented us with CDs of all the music from the day. He even wasn't bothered that my 10-year old was helping him with things. I highly recommend him for our wedding.

My husband and I had some unusual requests to make our reception very unique and Ken not only accommodated every request, he did so with such professionalism and excitement that everything flowed perfectly. It's not everyday that you find a DJ of this caliber! Our guests requests were played and everyone was very happy. I would recommend Ken and will be hiring him again for future events.

I am so happy we had DJ Ken at our venue, he kept everyone up and dancing all day - which was exactly what we wanted. He played all the songs we requested and incorporated other songs that really worked with the crowd. He is the best and very reasonable too!

Ken was AWESOME!! I got so many compliments about how great he was! He was very good about keeping us up to speed about when he was going to do certain things, like the cake cutting, boquet toss, etc. The volume was great. During dinner, it was softer and when the dancing started it wasn't too loud either. He was such a good guy, extremely flexible with my indecisivenss, and the price was extremely reasonable. I would recommend Ken to EVERYONE!!!

We thought Ken was amazing! He was very helpful in the planning process and provided many good suggestions as we were trying to narrow down the songs to use at our wedding reception. We found him to be very easy to work with. A DJ can make or break an event and DJ Ken made our event unforgettable!!! He was interactive with the guests, extremely approachable for music requests and even downloaded a song one of the guests requested on the spot. Ken really created a fun atmosphere for our guests. We used his planning tools and lists, and the process could not have been easier. He played the songs we requested and if a guest requested a song on our do not play list, he would always consult with us about playing the song. We received many positive comments on Ken; especially his fantastic swing dancing!

Ken truly added to the enjoyment of our wedding for us and our friends and family.
He was great about helping us to choose music, giving us as much flexibility as we wanted to either choose songs or let him decide based on the atmosphere. We opted to let him choose most of the music (including a couple songs to NOT play!) and Ken did not disappoint. As he told us during the planning process, he's had a lot of experience reading crowds and choosing music to get people on their feet, young and old.
He was prepared at the reception hall, dressed appropriately for the occasion. And he has a genuinely fun personality that made it easy for the first few to approach the dance floor after dinner.
It's also worth mentioning that working with Ken was one of the least stressful parts of planning our wedding. You'll know how important that can be once you get down to a couple months before the wedding!

DJ Ken is the nicest guy on the planet. He made all of our guests very comfortable and kept them dancing all night. He has great organizational spreadsheets to keep everything straight and asks lots of questions to help with planning the flow of the event. I did note that the items I told him directly (on our own timeline rather than the online form) required double checking and a reminder at the event, but as soon as we spoke up, he snapped into action with speed and professionalism. In a world of 'hair gel slick' DJs who just want to hear themselves speak, do yourself a favor and book someone who will let your event be about you. Call Ken!

Your wedding reception will be perfectly planned and executed. I spend many hours prior to your wedding day reviewing and attending to every detail for your reception.
Music and presentation is so critical at any function. With my vast music selection, years of experience, and my attention to detail I can assure you that you and the quests will not be disappointed.
I will spend as much time as you need planning your music, the style of the reception, time line and any and all other details that are important to you and your family.
Each wedding reception is unique and different and I assure you that I will take as much time in planning as necessary to provide you with exactly what you desire.

It all starts with our first discussion or meeting to outline what you expect at your reception and from your Disc Jockey / Emcee, and concludes with a follow-up satisfaction survey after your reception.
My years of experience in reading the audience and playing the right music, at the right volume and at the right time will ensure maximum enjoyment everyone.
On the day of your reception I will coordinate with the facility host or hostess and all of your vendors so we are all on the same page and working smoothly together.
If there is no host or hostess then I will also act as the event coordinator.
On line planning tools are available for your exclusive use in planning every detail of your special day, including music lists and interactive wedding planning forms.
A searchable music data base, is available as well as the ability to pre-request any music or songs on line.
I use professional sound equipment with backups. No I-Pod systems, No low end poor sounding systems.
No gimmicks, no props, no shouting; just first class professional service. It is your special day ! I am not there to put the spotlight on me. I am there a a facilitator to assure that every detail is attended to and you, your family and your friends enjoy a perfect day.

Personalized planning and attention to detail: Successful events do not just happen, they are the result of attention to all the details. I will spend as much time as you want or need planning your music, the style of the event, the time line and any and all other details. All you and your guests need to do is have a great time. We provide on line planning tools, a searchable music data base, and other music lists to assist you with your planning.
Music Options – The music you want will be with me at every function. My personal music data base extends from the thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, eighty's, nineties and right up to the present. For today’s current hits we subscribe to RPM Radio Programming & Management, Inc for all the monthly updates of Adult Contemporary, Top 40, Country, Latin, Urban/Rap, Dance Remixes, Rock/Alternative and Contemporary Christian all in “clean” radio edits. We provide easy listening, classical or smooth jazz for dinner and cocktails. We offer traditional, classical and other music for the wedding ceremony. If we do not have what you want, we will do our best to obtain it for you prior to the event. If you use our pre-request feature all the music you have selected will be ready and loaded into your personal play list on the computer ready for instant access at your function.
I started this business in the late seventies with my individual 45 RPM record collection. Today all music is in a digital format either in the computer or on a CD.
Attire & Interactivity - Not every client wants the DJ dressed in a tux so we give you the option. Our extensive and complete planning form offers you the option of choosing for the DJ to be in a formal tux, business suit, or smart casual attire.
Our level of interactivity is based solely on your preference. We understand that the focus of the celebration is you, our customer, and your guests. We will not intrude on your party with unwanted cheesy gimmicks or clownish stunts to steal the spotlight. Were it is appropriate we will discreetly work the audience to achieve the best energy level for the room.
Pricing - Pricing is always fair and reasonable Our pricing for any event or function can be found at the "choose a package link" .
We do not charge for set up time ( when possible we are set up and ready at least 1 hour before any guests arrive) We do not charge for travel time except in very out of the ordinary circumstances. If you have a budget issue, talk to me. Depending on the date and my schedule I will work with you to provide my services and stay within your budget.
