Rhyme Couture did a fantastic job with my gown! The workmanship was excellent. Wei took the time to arrange for the seamstress to come to my home and take my measurements. I was then able to get a sketch of the gown. I was very pleased with my gown, it was beautiful and elegant and I would definitely recommend Rhyme Couture for the future bride.
Each bride is assigned a personal bridal consultant who will help finalize the design, guide through the custom measuring and ordering process, and oversee the delivery of the gown. All communications are done via phone and e-mail to eliminate any retail mark up as well as avoid location limitations and travel expenses.
Rhyme Couture gallery styles are never discontinued or out of stock. Rather than taking only three measurements of the bride's body and delivering a pre-sized dress that will undoubtedly need alterations, an Rhyme Couture gown will be designed and made based on all curves and dimensions of the bride so it will fit well the first time around.
Rhyme Couture caters to modern brides with a strong sense of value and individual style. If you know what you want, they will deliver you a gown that no salon can make possible.
A: Currently, Rhyme Couture gowns are only available through our semi-web-based process in North America. We are not a click-and-buy online store. You will need a detailed invoice sent by your personal bridal consultant in order to purchase a Rhyme Couture gown. Since all Rhyme Couture gowns are made based upon each bride's exact measurements and style specifications, with entirely hand-made details and boutique quality materials there are many details you and your bridal consultant will need to discuss before finalizing your order. Most of our brides come to us knowing exactly what they want, and some of them have tried on similar gowns in their local salon to make sure that the silhouette they order from us is indeed most flattering on them. Please visit our About Us page to find out more about Rhyme Couture.
Q: How do I order a Rhyme Couture gown?
A: Once you have selected a gown from our Gallery, please contact us and provide your e-mail address and phone number. Your personal bridal consultant will contact you within three business days to discuss all design and measuring details. When every detail is finalized, a down payment invoice will be sent to you, and your order will be processed as soon as your payment comes through. Your personal bridal consultant will take care of everything related to your gown order. All communications are done via phone and e-mail to eliminate any retail mark up as well as avoid location limitations and travel expenses. It is this combination of couture service and web-based retail that ensures our brides get a high quality couture gown, tailored to their precise measurements, at a price that no salon can replicate.
Q: How can I find out the price of a Rhyme Couture gown?
A: If you place the cursor over the diamond logos on a gown page, the price of each Rhyme Couture gown will pop up.
Q: When should I order my Rhyme Couture gown?
A: Most Rhyme Couture gowns take about four months to create, so we suggest placing your gown order five months before the big day to reserve our studio's production time. Some brides allow six months or more so they will have the gown in hand when deciding on other accessories. If your gown requires extensive hand beadings and lace embroidery, more time may be required from our studio.
Q: My wedding is less than four months away. Is there any way to get a Rhyme Couture gown in time?
A: We always try our best to accommodate our brides. From time to time we will do a rush order if our studio schedule permits. There will be a small rush charge. Please contact us without delay to discuss your situation with a bridal consultant.
Q: When and how do I pay for my gown?
A: Rhyme Couture requires a 50% down payment when you place your order - normally four to five months before your wedding date; the remaining balance is due only when your gown is complete and ready to be shipped to you. You will need a down payment invoice, sent by your bridal consultant, in order to purchase a Rhyme Couture gown. This invoice will be sent to you when all details of your gown are finalized. Rhyme Couture uses PayPal to process all payments. It’s safe and convenient. You don't need a PayPal account; PayPal can process regular credit card payments.
Q: Who should take my measurements? Can I have my mom or friend do it?
A: To get the most accurate custom measurements download our Measurement Chart and have your measurements taken by a professional seamstress. Accurate measurements are essential; therefore Rhyme Couture does not accept home measurements. Your mom or friend are good candidates for doing the measurements cross check - before submitting the measurement chart to your bridal consultant we suggest double checking all measurements taken by the seamstress by measuring one last time at home.
Q: Where can I find a professional seamstress to take my measurements?
A: You can find a measuring service in most dry cleaning and alteration stores. A good and detailed measuring session should take 30 to 60 minutes depending on the silhouette, and costs around $35. Cost may vary in different locations. Keep in mind that accurate measurements are essential for your couture gown therefore go to the best seamstress you can find even if you have to pay a little more.
Q: How should I send my measurements?
A: Scan and e-mail the completed measurement chart to your bridal consultant. To ensure a high quality and accurate transmission, please do not fax the chart or type the measurements in an email.
Q: Can I get swatches?
A: Swatches can be ordered from Rhyme Couture for $5 - $15. The cost of the chosen swatch will be deducted from your gown price.
Q: How will my gown be shipped to me?
A: Rhyme Couture uses UPS to ship our gowns. Domestic shipping generally takes 4-5 days. International shipping time frame will vary depending on the destination. Gowns are insured for an on-time and worry-free delivery.
Q: I have fallen in love with one of your gowns, however it’s slightly over my budget. Will you work with brides on a budget?
A: We try our best to accommodate our brides’ budgets whenever possible. Letting go of some or all of the hand beading and lace appliqués are the most effective way to lower your gown cost. Let us know the gown you like, what parts of the gown you can live without, your approximate measurements on bust, waist, hip and height and most importantly your budget. A bridal consultant will contact you with design modifications and price quotes within five business days.
Q: How will a Rhyme Couture gown fit me compared to a salon bought gown?
A: Your Rhyme Couture gown will be custom made based on 20+ precise measurements taken by a professional seamstress. As a result the gown will fit great and alterations should not be necessary. Even for brides who desire some fine-tuning in the final weeks due to weight loss, the alterations will be minor (particularly in comparison to the extensive alterations routinely required on store-bought dresses, which are generally sized based upon only 3 measurements: bust, waist and hip).
Q: I live in the Manhattan area can I arrange for an in-studio visit?
A: Your Rhyme Couture gown is priced without any studio visit for try-on or fitting. The fact that you are a Manhattan-area resident will not make your process any different than brides located elsewhere. Please understand that our semi-web-based process is what allows us to offer our couture gowns, tailored to your precise measurements, at a fraction of their market prices.
Q: Can I pay for the down payment first to reserve the studio’s production time and submit my measurements few months later? Since I would like a little more time to tone my body my measurements might change.
A: Yes you can, just ask your bridal consultant to arrange for a Delayed-Production. In this case after your down payment come through our studio will schedule the latest possible date to start making your gown. Your personal bridal consultant will inform you when the latest day is for submitting your measurements before a rush charge occurs. This time frame will vary based upon the gown style and detail.
Q: What if I lose a lot of weight in the final month? I am dieting.
A: Since your gown will be custom-made based on the exact measurements you submit to us we suggest that you wait until you have reached your target weight to have your measurements taken. While we always try our hardest to work with our brides we can only be responsible for the numbers on your submitted chart. Therefore if your measurements change after your gown is already in production you will be responsible for the extra cost related to the alteration. The last day for submitting your measurements before occurring a rush charge will vary based upon the gown style. Please contact your personal bridal consultant for details. Keep in mind that drastic weight loss is not healthy—you will look beautiful on your special day no matter what!
Q: I am normally a size 16, does that mean I am a size 16 for Rhyme Couture as well?
A: Wedding gown sizes generally run smaller than street clothes sizes. The Rhyme Couture Size Guide can be located on each gown page. Note that measurements provided in the Size Guide are for price guidance only. Rhyme Couture uses custom measurements for all bridal gowns and dresses.
