Excellent professional service. Easy to work with and very accomadating. The photographers captured every moment of the day. My pictures are absolutely amazing. There are so many I love that I am having a very hard time choosing. I could not be happier with my choice in Barnes Photography.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my page ! I will work with you as much as it takes to get a package within your budget and to make sure you get only the best photographs of your special day.
I have been a photographer for over 30 years. I started at the news of Delaware County while still in High School, the the Daily Times and finally the Philadelphia Inquirer for 3 years, honing my craft as a true 'photojournalist'. ALong the years I also worked in Theatre shooting actors and models, as well as numerous catalog/brochure work for Wanamakers, companies and concert tours.
Combine all of these elements and you get a unique style of art and photography.
I prefer to cover the entire days events so that the pictures tell the story of the day. A combination of posed and candids assures you and your friends and family will look natural and happy.
I dont like to offer "just packages" because I believe every wedding is unique and different . It may be a renewal service, or 2nd marriage...something not typically large , and therefore a smaller price would be appropriate. Because of that I dont simply quote a number...you;re more than that to me.
I prefer to meet face to face, or at least emails and phoneconversations to gather information first...then give you a price that fits your budget and yet meets your expectations.

What do your packages include?
Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, High Resolution Images, Prints
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Yes, anything you can imagine I can do !
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Yes. My equipment and experience allows me to shoot in any lighting condition.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I shoot all digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
I usually work alone, unless a 2nd photographer is requested ( based on a few variables)...but I have 4 other people I shoot with and trust on their own.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Short of an act of God or hospitalization...yes. Nobody can guarantee they'll be there that day....but I can guarantee that a qualified photographer WILL be there, on time and deliver quality photos should I be in a hospital bed. I belong to professional Organizations that have a network of qualified photogers on call, so if my 4 co workers cannot make it...someone will.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I have done that 2 times, and only because the timing and locations worked out perfectly....but I dont make a habit out of it. I prefer to concentrate on only YOU that day and if you should require overtime, I wouldnt want to say "I cant".
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, as I explained above. 4 Back up people and a professional organization network.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Everything I own, so im always prepared. generally 4 bodies, 10 lenses, 3 flashes, back up batteries, laptop.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Hourly....no job is too small.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
$200.oo per hour started.....but there's grey area there :)
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Just 1...but 99% of the time I dont even call it a break, as I dont like to leave the room or break eye contact with the bride. I usually stand in a corner and eat with a camera by my side.
Do you charge for travel?
Not usually no...I go to the jersey Shore often. Beyond that then Yes, i would charge a nominal fee.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
2-4 days online. I usually post 20-30 of my favorite Highlights within 24 hours !
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Either CD, DVD or prints
How long can the client keep the proofs?
Forever
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
That is an option.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes to my website or promotional material.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes
What kind of albums do you offer?
Several.. I offer contemporay Coffee table style as well as Traditional.
When will the client get the final album?
apprx 8 weeks after you tell me what pictures youve selected.
Additional Advice
I could go on all day about this...really ! People tell me I should offer wedding planning because Ive seen everything that could go wrong , go wrong!
But Ive also seen things go right , and I try to offer advice to Brides so that theyre day is Picture perfect !
here's just few thoughts:
1. Get the Church and Hall first. They can sometimes book 2 years or more ahead.
2. PHOTOGRAPHER should be next. If photos are important to you ( and they should be a priority, after all they are "history' of you, your family, your friends)....If you wnat a specific style, or look and someone with a solid repuatation( not some "newbie" who just bought a digital camera to make quick money)....then you should find the photographer you like and book them. I am booking 8-14 months ahead now.
There are LOTS of photographers to choose from but ask yourself this: "how long have they been doing this?", "do they have references from brides AND businesses?", "whats their back up plan in the event of an emergancy?".
3. Make a short list of images youve seen or want, people who you really need to get some shots of( assign a family member to find them or coral them to save time).
4. Dont sweat it...it all comes together in the end !!!
5. Dont worry...every wedding starts late and every gown/shoes get dirty !
6. And finally...DO NOT chew gum during your first dance...Im going to start charging a small fortune to photoshop it out when you laugh !!! :)
