Our reception was incredible here at the Nixon Library. Check out our video online:

This is an outdoor venue that is simply wonderful for a bride wishing to be married in a rose garden. The grounds are well cared for, there is plenty of space for the bridal party to prepare and get ready. The staff is very responsive and returns calls promptly and will help you with all of your details. They were very helpful during the rehearsal. There was a wedding following ours that day, but they were in no rush to hurry us out of the gardens during our photos and were only there to say "Congratulations!" What a easy afternoon we had! They are more than willing to help accommodate music and photography needs. I used this venue for my ceremony only.

We loved our wedding at the Nixon Library. Everything was as lovely as we imagined it and met all of our expectations. We are very happy about our decision to have our wedding there, and it was a pleasure working with the Library staff. The gardens and ceremony space are beautiful, especially the reflecting pool. The reception room is romantic and classic with fireplaces and mantles, bright chandeliers, and gold curtains. There is a very warm and intimate feeling to the room, which adds to the atmosphere of the happy occasion. The price of the venue was very reasonable, and finding a similar venue at the same price would be very difficult. We really recommend Nixon Library as a wedding venue and hope you love it as much as we did.

The Richard Nixon Library was the perfect setting for my wedding. Every one of the staff was courteous and helpful. They worked with all my vendors very well and made us feel welcomed as well.

Elegant, Exquisite and Everything you need for a wedding! If you are looking for a venue that will leave an impression on your guests, you need to check out the Richard Nixon Library. The site is beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with. In addition, the East Room provides a classic and timeless setting that will make your photos and your day memorable. I almost overlooked this venue but am so happy that I decided on this location. I couldn't have asked for a better venue to hold the most important day of my life. Thank you to Laura and the RNL staff to making my special day a dream come true.

The East room was an incredible place to host a classy, yet fun reception. The reflection pool and the beautiful surroundings enhanced our pictures. The special events coordinator took care of everything. Even allowed me to meet Julie Nixon Eisenhower and David Eisenhower who happened to be there when I was getting dressed.

The Nixon Library is GEORGEOUS!!! The staff was awesome, the grounds are spectacular, and the ballroom was magical. Forget the musty country club ballrooms with their old ugly carpet and worn out chairs that cost a fortune! Go with the Nixon library and your guests will be amazed.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!!!!! Jori, Nikki, Carrie, and the gang at the Nixon are wonderful, fantastic, and unsurpassed!
When my parents first suggested The Nixon Library for their 50th Anniversary party, I thought it might be a cool place to have it. However, I had never been there before and didn't know what to expect. Now that our event is over, I cannot express how BRILLIANT my parents' suggestion was, and how AMAZING Jori and the team were.
Seriously -- I cannot imagine how anyone, at any venue, could make someone feel as special as Jori and her team made us feel. They cared as much as we did about every single detail, and Jori went out of her way to calm me down on the MANY occasions during which I was freaking out. She even called me after the event to make sure that we were happy and that everyone had an amazing time. Of course, everyone did.
As for the venue itself, it is gorgeous. Many of our guests walked around the grounds and toured the property after our event (we did a daytime brunch), and people are still emailing me to tell me how beautiful the venue was.
I simply cannot put into words how happy I was with Jori and everyone else at The Nixon Library. Thanks for making such an important day as perfect as it possibly could have been.

The management, staff and everyone at the Nixon were absolutely superb. I can't rave enough about how easy they made this for us, how smoothly everything went, how accommodating they all were. It was just a pure joy and pleasure to work with the folks at the Nixon. This is without a doubt one of the best venues in So Cal., and one of the best group of staff, we could have ever hoped for. I highly recommend this venue for any event you may plan. They were simply terrific.

My husband and I didn't even consider The Richard Nixon Library thinking that it was out of our price range. We spoke to some friends and they recommended checking into it anyways and it turned out to be just the venue for us. It's beautiful, inside and out. The East room has an elegance to it and you can definitely add your characteristics to it. Laura was awesome to work with! She was our main point of contact from the beginning and she answered all of our questions promptly. She assisted with every request and handled all of our concerns. We didn't feel rushed and she didn't make us feel like we were inconveniencing her. It truly made the whole process more enjoyable and eased my jitters! At the very least, check out the Nixon..it may be it for you...

The Richard Nixon Library was such an amazing place to have our wedding. I brought my husband to a few places when I was deciding what venue to select. He was unimpressed by the other locations I was contemplating. However, immediately upon seeing the Nixon Library's East Room he knew our wedding would have to be there. I loved the absolute beauty of the room - with its amazingly detailed white walls and gigantic windows, fireplaces and chandeliers. The ballroom was so gorgeous with nothing in it. This made decorating so much easier for me. I didn't have to spend as much on flowers or other details as I was thinking I would have to do with an ugly golf course banquet room. Seriously, it was so very easy to have my wedding at the Nixon Library. The staff - including Laura and Jori - were so helpful and nice. I seriously loved every minute of my wedding at the Nixon Library.
GUEST

The Nixon Library was the perfect wedding and reception venue. The grounds provided numerous places to take gorgeous pictures, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and it is priced competitively with other locations. The first time we visited, we knew it was the place where we would become husband and wife! If you are curious about the Nixon Library, visit one of their (free) open house events! It is such an amazing and unique location; you will not be disappointed!
GUEST

The Nixon Library is the most beautiful venue. Our guests were so wowed by the facilities and grounds. The team of people who work there are so friendly and helpful-Jori, Laura, Carrie. At first, I was miffed about the venue fee, until I realized that the "free venue fee" at hotels and golf courses are a sham because they require a minimum expenditure for food and non-alcoholic beverages. Trust me, once you calculte it all out, the overall cost is actually less than most hotels and golf courses. We went with Jason's Catering and we were not disappointed. Many of our guests said that it was the best food that they had ever had at a wedding. The venue fee includes admission to the library for your guests the day of the wedding and chivari chairs for your reception. It's the perfect venue, unique and traditional all at the same time.
GUEST

This was literally the best venue for our wedding. I can't tell you how accommodating the staff was. Lauren, Jori, and everybody on the Nixon wedding team, is just a joy to work with. They went very out of their way to make sure every need was met, with zero hassle for me and my now husband. The venue is absolutely gorgeous--and the pricing on everything was extremely reasonable. I never write reviews and I'm kind of picky because I'm a perfectionist--so this review coming from me really means I'm elated with the service from the nixon bridal team. A zillion thanks to you!!!
GUEST

Nixon staff was wonderful in helping us organize what turned out to be a great wedding and reception. Everything turned out great, thank you!
GUEST

We had our ceremony and reception at the Richard Nixon Library and it was incredibly gorgeous. It was the first venue my husband and I looked at, and after looking at twenty-plus more, we knew the Nixon was where we wanted it to be. The staff is always professional and extremely helpful answering any questions, emails or phone calls I had over the course of our engagement. The day of the wedding the grounds looked immaculate and there were several staff members on hand to help with any potential problems. I would highly recommend The Nixon Library as an wedding venue. Since our wedding, every single one of our guests has complimented me on choosing such a beautiful venue. My husband and I could not be any happier that we had our wedding at the Nixon.
GUEST

The RNL was unsurpassed in detail, beauty, accessibility and a wonderful staff to work with. We could not have been more pleased with the way everything turned out! The Wedding, venue, ceremony and reception in one word was PERFECT! Our family and friends were truly impressed and have positively commented on the beautiful wedding day.
GUEST

The Richard Nixon Library is an incredibly beautiful location for a ceremony and reception. We were married in the rose garden and our pictures are gorgeous! It was such a peaceful setting for our ceremony. Likewise, the East Room was such an elegant reception location. My husband and I swing dance and were concerned about the quality of the dance floor. The dance floor was amazing and our guests were enthralled by its beauty. We didn't need to spend much money on flowers or decor because the gardens and East Room are beautiful in their own right (the East Room's chandeliers are stunning!).
You cannot go wrong with the staff at the Nixon Library. Laura Machin was incredibly organized, friendly and informative. We did not use a wedding planner, so we really relied on the expertise of the Nixon Library staff. There were no glitches and they were always in communication with us. Planning a wedding with the Nixon was a cake walk!
They were also willing to work/communicate with all of our vendors so as to make sure everyone was on the same page. Our guests raved about the Library - I'd recommend this venue to anyone!
GUEST

This venue was amazing!!! I am still getting compliments from all of my guest. The coordinators there did an excellent job and everything flowed smoothly. I would do it all over again at this location. I loved it.
GUEST

The Richard Nixon Library was my dream venue. It was so beautiful with its lush gardens and beautiful flowers. The staff was very friendly and always got back to me when I had a question. Nicki with the Nixon made sure things were in order and everything was perfect. My favorite part is of course the ballroom. It was the PERFECT setting for our reception. I am truly satisfied with everything the Nixon had to offer.
GUEST

We were married at the Nixon Library last month and it was absolutely the best decision I made! My wedding was more than I expected in life! It is so unique to have a wedding at a presidential library and the ballroom, which is replica of the East Room at the White House is Unbelievable!! I felt like Jackie Kennedy hosting a very beautiful reception. People to this day tell me our wedding was the best they have been too. Everything was beautiful! And all the pictures came out amazing! As a bonus, if you enjoy American history like we do, this is a place to pick. The price is a little high but it was so worth it.
GUEST

We had both our ceremony and reception at the library. The ceremony site is a gorgeous rose garden. The East Room, where the reception is held, is a magnificent ball room with incredible chandeliers and wood floors. Gold chivari chairs are included in the package as well. We could not have been happier than at the library! We highly recommend this venue!
GUEST

We so love the Nixon. This was the only venue my fiance truly liked. We've been hunting down the perfect venue, and when Nixon had an open house, I told my hubby now that "this is out of our budget." But we came, we saw.. and we're like.. wow.. this place.. really a class on its own. The main pull for my hubby was the helicopter. This is the helicopter that Nixon left in when he resigned. We imagined the picture opportunities!! Secondly, that ballroom! With the most gorgeous chandeliers and the stunning white walls, perfect for uplighting! And it's a replica of the White House East room, so when I was looking for decor, I googled state dinners to find what they've done with this room before. And then.. I've always dreamt of an outdoor ceremony.. the rose garden with its circular shape, is intimate and perfect.. overlooking the ... yes, the reflecting pool.
The people that work there are nice. Jori is super sweet. She's the one who we communicated with on everything.. from speakers, to.. can we do this and that questions. The response, always within the hour.
They are pricey.. but seriously.. there's no other venue like it.. ask my guests, they talked about my wedding days after.. I got a lot of "it's the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to."
The place is beautiful and clean.. you don't need to spend much on decor.. the charm is its linear cleanliness.. Like we only spent $2k on flowers, about $1K on lighting and candles.. and it was truly beautiful.
GUEST

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding ceremony or reception. Carrie, Jori and Nikki were amazing to work with from start to finish. I booked almost a year before our event and sent emails full of questions regularly. Both Jori and Carrie were quick to get back to me with no problem. All of our guests complimented how beautiful and amazing the ballroom looked for the ceremony. We will be back for future anniversary celebrations! Thanks again to everyone at the Nixon Library for making our big day perfect.

The Nixon Library was my dream venue! We went here first, and knew that it was the place for us. We looked at another nearby venue after, but it was such a step down from the Nixon that we knew that it was not able to compare to the Nixon. Everyone at my wedding commented on the beauty and perfection of the Nixon. We also held our rehearsal dinner here, which I would also recommend. It was so nice to have dinner there after, and not make anyone drive anywhere. Thank you so much for having such a beautiful and perfect venue!
GUEST

My husband and I were looking for a ceremony/wedding venue that was classic, and that best represents us. We searched countless venues, to no luck. Until we walked into the Richard Nixon Library... It was absolutely breathtaking. We knew it the minute we walked in, we could see ourselves getting married here. The room had very high celings with beautiful chandeliers, drapery and mantels to place pictures of family. The ballroom was so beautiful and regal, it didn't need very much decorations which was great. Jori was great and very responsive with all our questions. She did a wonderful job! We had a beautiful wedding and we are so happy with everything.
GUEST

If you are looking for a beautiful venue to host your wedding and the staff to make it a memorable day, look no further than the Richard Nixon Library. With little effort on my part, the staff delivered a truly first class reception at a value that can never be matched. Thank you Laura and Jori for everything that you did to make this day so very cherished.
GUEST

I had a quick engagement (2 months) and the Nixon Library was MORE than willing to help me in any and every way possible. Given that I was planning a wedding in 8 weeks, having a venue who was so responsive, attentive and willing to serve really made our wedding adventure so much smoother! In addition to the wonderful staff, the venue itself is incredibly beautiful. The Library (really a top-class musem) serves as a place of elegance and really sets the tone for a top-notch wedding. All of my guests (approximately 200) were amazed by the grounds and our day was absolutely perfect! Thank you Nixon Library for truly making our wedding the BEST day of our lives!
GUEST

We had our wedding at The Richard Nixon Library back in June and it was just perfect. The staff was very helpful and so kind. The grounds are just so beautiful and well kept. Would highly recommend having your wedding here.
GUEST

I loved the fact that the Nixon Library was literally about 5-7 minutes from where I grew up and from where my parents still currently reside. The location was perfect. Lucky for us, the venue itself was perfect for our wedding and number of guests (about 180). The Rose Garden is fabulous for a lovely outdoor ceremony and the East Room is magical for an elegant, sophisticated reception. Needless to say, how the venue turns out in photographs will leave you absolutely speechless and so impressed. It is such a gorgeous venue! My husband and I could not have been more pleased with not only the venue, but the staff as well. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful in efforts of making our big day absolutely perfect. The best part was that everyone was so easy to work with. Really it was the BEST venue for our wedding! We couldn't have been happier!!
GUEST

I had the pleasure of working with Laura and Jori from the library. They were both so helpful and accommodating with all our questions we had regarding our BIG day! They were so patient all my emails (me being a perfectionist, that is a lot of emails!). I truly appreciated their professionalism and care making sure that our wedding would be seamlessly PERFECT! I definitely recommend this BEAUTIFUL, historical landmark if you are considering the Nixon Library as your wedding venue. We received so many wonderful compliments from our friends and family. I am so happy and thankful I found this place. And I am even luckier to have worked with such a great staff!
GUEST

The venue Is perfect for both ceremony and reception. The staff was flexible/ accomadating when asked if we could make a few changes.
GUEST

I recently had my reception and ceremony at the richard nixon library and was very pleased with the whole experience. The staff was very helpful, especially when we decided to move our ceremony inside due to the rain. Jori and Laura were wonderful to work with. Our food was catered through the Anaheim White House and our guests continue to rave about how great the food was. We just couldn't get over how professional and helpful everyone was. I am so happy we were married there.
GUEST

We had a limited budget and no one could tell. The Nixon Library was the perfect backdrop for a wonderful and memorable wedding ceremony and reception. The staff was amazing and helpful to work with and the suggested caterer was as delightful. I wouldn't change a thing!
GUEST

The East Room at The Richard Nixon Library has an old world charm and elegance. We had our wedding there on February 18, 2011 and we could not have been happier. We viewed every possible venue in LA county and OC county and no one venue compared to the East Room. Not only it is beautiful and spacious it will give any size wedding a warm and opulent feel. We had 120 guests and it was a perfect setting.
The event planning staff was amazing. They were very courteous, professional and kind. The level of service we experienced surpassed every expectation we had.
Simply put The Richard Nixon Library and the event planning staff are beautiful, gracious and welcoming.
GUEST

We found that The Richard Nixon Library was a wedding venue via the internet and we loved the idea of having our wedding there. After touring the venue, we knew it was perfect. The value was incredible and the staff working there was extremely sweet and professional. The garden was perfectly manicured on the day of our February wedding and the East Room was absolutely stunning. The staff there helped was extremely helpful and responsive to our many questions and concerns. It was such a gorgeous wedding venue, we simply could not have picked any better of a venue. Our guests are still raving about our wedding venue and The Richard Nixon Library. One of the best wedding decisions we made, by far.
GUEST

This was the only placed I needed to see. I loved it from the start. The place is beautiful already but the people there make it so memorable that I would want to get married every weekend.
GUEST

The Richard Nixon Is such a beautiful place to get married..... Everything about the venue is amazing.. Laura was so helpful throughout my whole planing and Chris was very tentative the day of the wedding... Thank you.
GUEST

The Nixon Library was incredible! The setting is truly unique and beautiful. It is nice because it is not necessary to bring in much from outside to decorate the area. Laura was extremely helpful and available to answer any and all questions we had for her. The lawn and the East room set the perfect place for an outdoor wedding and we could not have chosen a better spot for our wedding. I would highly recommend The Nixon Library to anyone looking to create an elegant and classy wedding.
GUEST

We were well taken care of by the Nixon team from picking a date, to suggestions for vendors and they were generous with time and care of our wedding. Thank you for everything.

Nixon Library is a romantic breathtaking venue. The onsite coordinators, Carrie and Laura, were so easy to work with. The pictures that you get there are worth every penny of renting the place. We had both our ceremony and reception at the library. The ballroom where the reception was held at definitely won both my husband and I over with its high vaulted ceilings, white crown moulding and the most beautiful chandeliers. Walking into the ballroom is like walking into a fairytale where you dance with your prince all night long. So if you are looking forward to having a fairytale wedding, then the Richard Nixon Library is the place you are looking for. Make sure you speak to Carrie; she will accomadate you with all your needs.
GUEST

The Nixon Library gave us our dream wedding. We got married in the Rose Garden on a Sunday afternoon and it literally felt like Heaven. The beautiful garden really doesn't necessitate any extra floral arrangements, which will really keep your floral budget down. The Library set it up exactly to our specifications and even set up the sound system which worked perfectly for us.
Our guests were able to visit the Library Museum before and after the ceremony, which was a really nice treat, especially for our out-of-town guests. Presidential libraries are truly rare, so this place is a treasure for more than it's beautiful amenities.
The reception was held in the East Room, a full replica of the East Room of the White House. Talk about feeling like royalty. It was absolutely stunning, with the golden drapes, presidential portraits on the walls, and oversized fireplaces. The wood floor eliminates the need to bring in a dance floor and the layout of the space makes even a large crowd feel intimate. We had 200 people and everyone felt like they were at the "best" table. Even more than that would fit very comfortably in that beautiful room.
In terms of customer service, we are very pleased with how we were taken care of from start to finish. Everyone at the library who worked with us was very professional, flexible, and positive. You can tell they really enjoy hosting weddings and they are really good at it!
GUEST

The Nixon Library in Yorba Linda is an absolutely amazing venue to hold a wedding reception. The Nixon Library staff is only responsible for the site rental, as you need to use vendors for everything else, but all of the staff there is extremely helpful and goes out of their way to answer questions and facilitate the best evening possible. I highly recommend them.
GUEST

The Richard Nixon Library is an exquisite place to hold any event. I had my wedding here and had so many guests comment on how romantic and beautiful the venue is. The staff, especially Laura, are very friendly and accommodating. They are always eager to answer and questions and are also flexible.
The gem of the library, in my opinion, is their amazing ballroom. It is very classy and, if you're a fan of chandeliers, you MUST pay a visit to their ballroom. The room is a replica of the East Room in the White House, and is what had me sold the minute I walked through its doors.
TIP: It is more affordable to get married here in the winter months. It poured on my wedding day, but I would do it all over again because this place is just THAT breathtaking.
GUEST

The location is Beautiful! We could not have been happier with how everything turned out.
GUEST

Stunning venue!!!! I fell in love with it the moment I set my eyes on it. The service was wonderful. Cannot say enough about the Nixon Library staff and coordinators!!! Made my wedding day so magical and memorable. Thank you!!!

This was the place for the wedding of my dreams. Our wedding was such an elegant affair and the fireplaces, chandeliers, wood floors made the perfect back dropt. I would recommend this place to anyone who is getting married.

We were so impressed with the Richard Nixon Library that we just couldnt resist... Besides the fact that the grounds are impeccable and the ball room is gorgeous... it was the quality of service that helped seal the deal for us. We could not have asked for a better group of people to work with. I highly recommend the library for your special day... Your guests will walk away talking about it forever. Our guests are still saying how our wedding was the event of the year!
GUEST

The Nixon Library helped give me the dream wedding I had always wanted. I will never forget our big day, and my husband and I both wish we could relive the experience. The Nixon Library provided the most gorgeous venue and the staff are incredibly professional making wedding planning so much more relaxing. The Nixon Library will always be special to me and I could have never asked for something more in my wedding day. It was definitely the happiest day of our lives and my husband and I know we made the best choice having our wedding there! It really made it so much more incredible!!! Thanks again!
GUEST

This such a beautiful place to hold a wedding. The garden is beautiful, just that could save you so much money on flowers and other decors. The East Room is just amazing. You just can't go wrong with this venue.
GUEST

Everyone that works at the Nixon Library were helpful and went out of their way to make my day wonderful. Chris Horn the event supervisor was excellent. He was reliable, patient and was willing to do anything for me, my family and the wedding party.
GUEST

They have the most incredible staff that are always available and offer great advice. The property is unbelievable and so reasonably priced. It is an incredible and unique place to get married, with lots of space.
GUEST

The Nixon Library was the perfect location for us!! The garden is so beautiful for our ceremony & the ballroom went above and beyond anything I could have wanted for a reception area. The staff made sure everything was perfect. Im so happy that we were able to have our wedding there.

Stunning venu! The staff were very attentive and helped the day run smoothly.

One visit to the library sealed the deal for us! The East Room and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The staff was absolutely amazing, responsive and caring about our event. They made the planning process incredibly easy and answered all of my questions (and there were tons!) with such grace. I would highly recommend the Library to anyone for their wedding!
GUEST

Gorgeous place and very helpful employees! Laura was very responsive and was great in helping us get things setup. Wish they had more wedding dates available but I guess it is tough to book a place a year before and still have a few dates to choose from!
GUEST

The Richard Nixon Library was one of the first places I thought of when I started planning my wedding. I've always loved the pictures of Trisha Nixon in her wedding dress and loved that she was one of the few first daughters to get married at the White House. The Rose Garden and East Room at the Richard Nixon Library are the closest you can get to getting married at the White House.
From the very beginning Carrie at the RNLB was very helpful and informative. She provided us with all the information we needed to make the decision and patiently answered all my questions. Since we had an off season wedding the cost for renting the location was a good deal. The library is beautifully designed and the grounds around the library are picturesque. It rained the day of our wedding so we didn't get to use the Rose Garden but the room we used inside was nice. It was a bit small for our 180 person wedding but it gets the job done in case of rain.
I would have given it all five stars for flexibility, but there are some restrictions regarding the property. None of them are unreasonable considering its a Presidential Library with a military owned Marine One on display. You can't have open flames, so all your candles have to be in votiives or hurricanes. If you use rose petals on the lawn you have to pick them all up. And there is no flash photography in the exhibits, no pictures of inside the helicopter, and no pictures around the helicopter after 5pm.
I didn't have to worry about remembering the rules and restrictions because I used Ashley Powell, from Agape Planning as my wedding coordinator. She's the recommended wedding planner of the RNLB and she knows all the ins and outs of the property. It made things so much easier because I had someone who knew the staff and security. If any changes needed to be made she would be able to tell me if it was possible and handle if needed. I wouldn't have been able to plan a wedding at the RNLB without Ashley's expertise and experience. If you've decided that the RNLB is your perfect wedding venue, you have to have Ashley as your coordinator. She completes the whole experience and package and she does it with a smile and a personal touch.
GUEST

My fiance and I could not have been happier with our experience at the Nixon Library. We looked all over Orange County, and the Nixon was by far the best venue we found. They are very set up for events, have fabulous recommended vendors (White House Catering was INCREDIBLE), and were very ready and willing to help us iron our the details of our event. We look forward to going back to visit our wedding location for many years to come!!
GUEST

The Richard Nixon Library is a gorgeous venue! The rose garden was absolutely breathtaking for our ceremony - all the roses were in bloom and perfectly maintained! The East Room is a perfect reception location. All our guests were blown away by how beautiful everything was. Laura was fantastic to work with. She always got back to me quickly and answered all my questions. Do be aware that there my be other events going on the same day as your rehearsal and/or ceremony if you choose to have your wedding there. Not a huge deal, but there were other things going on while we were there and at certain times (getting ready, etc), it felt slightly crowded/parking was at a minimum and no notice was given to us for planning purposes. Other than that, it was the perfect venue!
GUEST

Classy. Beautiful. Elegant. Those were the three words that guests used to describe our wedding, in large part due to the amazing venue. I would highly recommend this venue. You have to check it out in person to give it the justice it deserves. The staff was amazing and seamlessly worked with our vendors. It's a little more pricey than other venues, but you get what you pay for. I gave it 4 out of 5 on flexibility because the dates fill up way in advance. If you want a Saturday wedding on a specific date, I would book at least one year in advance, probably more.
GUEST

As soon as we stepped into the East Room, we knew that this was it! We received many compliments from our guests on our choice of venue as unique - with the opportunity to visit the museum prior the start of the reception, beautiful gardens, grounds (and helicopter), and of course the East room. Pricey but well worth it!
GUEST

I am so glad we chose the Richard Nixon Library for our wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was great and very helpful. Saturdays in summer fill up quickly so if thats what you want book early. I went to the open house in March and all the Sat. in June were booked so we went with a Friday, which ended up being perfect! I would definitely recommend this venue!
GUEST

The Nixon Library staff are very professional. The rental of the space was very reasonable but dates are taken way in advance understandbly. The ceremony and reception site are maintained very well. Our guests were impressed by the place. The restrooms are even very nice. The fact that the museum is free for the guests during cocktail hour is an advantage. We also enjoyed having a room for bride and groom to get dressed or freshen up. I also apprecaited the good security of the place. I rcommend this place for future bride and grooms. Thank you.
GUEST

The Nixon Library is the way to go for your wedding and ceremony! The location is so perfect for weddings because the location is perfect! The gardens are so beautiful for you wedding ceremony and the wedding hall is amazing! My guest are still telling me that I chose a wonderful location for my wedding. They were so surprised at the beauty of the gardens and the flow of my entire wedding. The location is clean, the staff is wonderful in answering any questions you may have and the restrooms are close to both the wedding ceremony and the reception hall. You have to think about your guest when planning your wedding ceremony and that includes restrooms locations! I would recommend Nixon Libray with five stars!
GUEST

We had both our ceremony and reception here- very convenient! The replica of the East room is incredible and the Rose Garden where the ceremony was held was beautiful! Plus all of our guests received complimentary entrance to the museum!
The outdoor area and the hallway was a great place for cocktail hour. We used their grand piano for our cocktail hour and they were very accomodating on making plans to move it into the Easy Room so it could be played for our Grand Entrance as well.
Our contact person changed a couple of times, so we received emails from a few different people that were easy to overlook in our overflowing inbox. Overall, everyone was pleasant and helpful. Everything was taken care of just fine, the room looked amazing, the grounds were beautiful, and the costs were reasonable compared to other OC venues.
GUEST

The Nixon Library provided an amazing and unique site for our wedding.
GUEST

This is the most beautiful and historic venue in Orange County. It's absolutely stunning inside and out, especially in the spring and summer, when the Rose Garden is blooming in all its glory. It's so gorgeous you don't need anything to enhance it. I got tons of compliments on my venue, since I didn't get married in a boring hotel. The ballroom is a replica of the White House, which is super cool. The staff was very accommodating when I wanted to change my wedding date.
GUEST

I had my wedding reception at the Nixon Library. It was the first venue that we toured and after looking at 20 more places all over Southern California, and realizing that no place else could compare, we decided to bust our budget and book the Library. There is no doubt that it is expensive to hold a Saturday evening event here (especially since you have to hire outside catering and rent everything) but after having our reception, we definitely think that it was worth it. Our guests loved being able to tour the museum during cocktail hour, we got lots of beautiful photos in the rose garden, and no hotel ballroom can come close to the beauty of the East Room Ballroom.
The one thing that disappointed us, we had planned to take photos next to Nixon's helicopter but were told that it had closed at 5:00 and there was no way we could - even though we had rented the library until midnight. My fiance and I were definitely mad that we weren't informed about the early closing time earlier. Besides that, everything went smoothly. FYI, the Library really doesn't do much of anything to assist with event planning or set up so if you book here, plan on hiring a coordinator.

It was so easy to book with and have our wedding at the Nixon. Their coordinators were very responsive.
The location was breathtaking. I truly felt like a bid deal in the East Room or like a princess in the Rose Garden. All our guests were blown away by the ballroom. Plus, because they've worked with so many brides and vendors before, Laura and Nikki were pros; which made everything so much easier for me. This was the perfect venue. Even my dad said he couldn't imagine me getting married anywhere else.

The Nixon Library is an absolutely breathtaking venue! The gardens are a perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding (but be sure to ask when they plan to cut their hundreds of rose bushes back or you may end up with sticks instead!). The East Room is a stunning, warm, romantic room for a reception. My only complaint is the staff's attitude when my husband and I pushed to set up outside despite some predictions of rain. However, Carrie and Laura were amazing in helping in the planning process and answering all questions.

A beautiful and regal looking venue for weddings. The staff is extremely helpful and they really allow you to do whatever you want to make your dream wedding come true. They are extremely flexible and professional. Also, it is one of the most affordable venues in Southern California.

We knew the instant we walked into the library that this was going to be the place our wedding would be held. We got married in April due to it being the only day available. We wanted to get married in September, so if you do want to get married here make sure you go in early to book your day.

My fiance and I just booked Nixon for our April 2010 wedding. Originally when I inquired about Nixon, the contact I had was not very helpful or friendly so I inquired again hoping to get someone different, and I did, and I couldn't be happier. We have visited three times total. Two times before we booked and one time after we booked to show my parents, his parents and then again to meet the caterer. Not once did Carrie make us feel like we were bothering. We originally were booking for the 30th of April, but later decided to book the 23rd in order to get the photographer we wanted, and she didn't make us feel bad for having to change all of the paperwork, she was so helpful and always has a great attitude. I will give an update after our wedding.

The Nixon Library truly is a one of a kind venue. Once we saw the venue, we knew it was the place for us. Especially since it is an incredibly expensive rental fee for a Saturday night, my only complaint would be that you don't necessarily get what you pay for prior to the wedding. Our contact at the Nixon often took a long time to respond to inquiries from either ourselves or our coordinator. It became such a source of frustration for me that I stopped interacting with this contact completely and left my husband to be the point person as I didn't have the time or patience to deal with it, especially closer to the wedding date. It just seemed a bit ridiculous that to get a response to the simplest questions was like pulling teeth.
That being said, once it was close enough to our date to be passed on to the Library's event coordinators, it was an incredibly pleasant experience. They were able to answer any questions, work well with our coordinator on the day of, help with the rehearsal, the setup was executed perfectly, etc. The day of the wedding went incredibly smoothly and ultimately, we were glad that we had chosen the Library. Our guests had a wonderful time, enjoyed the exhibits and our pictures came back fantastic.

Beautiful venue! We had our Ceremony and Reception at the Library. Our Ceremony was at 6:00pm in the First Ladies Rose Gardens we faced the house. It was the perfect lighting and position for that time of day. We only had 42 guests at our wedding and i thought that maybe it would feel not intimate, but it totally did. It is a great venue for small or large wedding!

The Nixon Library is a lovely venue. Our pictures are fanatstic - there are palms, rose gardens, reflecting pools - that provide marvelous backdrops to the happy couple. This is an elegant venue, but you can really party in the ballroom.

My husband and I met working in politics and so it seemed only fitting that we get married at a Presidential Library. The library is beautiful and so many people remarked on what a great location it was to get married. Many of our guests took advantage of touring the exhibits and walking around the lovely gardens during our cocktail hour. The reception was held in the ballroom that is a replica of the East Room of the White House and it looked just stunning. At first I was a little unsure about all the gold, but I found colors that complimented it well and it was absolutely gorgeous. The site includes all the tables and chairs for both the reception and the ceremony, as well as sound for the ceremony. But keep in mind if you are having a wedding at an venue like this that you then bring everything else in - forks, knives, glasses. They helped to get insurance coverage for the wedding, which cut down on the cost. The room was set up exactly as I wanted it to be. The grounds looked phenomenal and staff they day of was on top of everything. We did have a problem with our rehearsal time and had to shift it because of some communication confusion - but it ended up working out okay, although we lost a few of our bridal party because of the traffic. Sometimes it took a little while for emails and phone calls to be returned, but I think that they are probably busy with a lot of events.
Absolutely my favorite venue in Southern California! A true "hidden gem" with a remarkably regal East Room for the reception and a gorgeous rose garden for ceremonies. What more could a bride want!?!?!
