We hired Rick to shoot our wedding in Middletown this summer. He was immediately really pleasant to interact with via email. After seeing the photos from his website we were sold, we were not disappointed. Rick's photos are incredible. He is a star. We have been over them three times now and each time we discover something new and marvelous. It's quite something how well he managed to capture people's essence, you have to see it to believe it. He absolutely *got* our friends and family the way we know them to be. Everyone was also impressed by the formal collection, especially the large groups (where everyone in the photo looks good!!?) and those where we were being lifted up by our friends are just brilliant. I loved the images he took around the house before the ceremony, the dress shots, and those of our guests as we made an entrance. My wife was absolutely stunning in her dress. It was a special day to remember, and thanks to Rick we will have these images to relive the moments forever. We are grateful for all his hard work and for making us look so good! We live in Monaco but I know we will work with Rick again sometime soon. Highly recommend!!!

Rick was the single best decision we made about our wedding, he was supportive, inclusive and most of all put the both of us completely at ease the entire night. One of our favorite aspects of his work during our wedding night was the instant display of pictures on a slideshow located outside the ballroom. We were able to immediately see how we made the right choice with Rick, and other guests were so struck by the beauty of his pictures that they asked our parents for his information! Rick was able to capture us in a way that only a true professional can and we could not be happier!

I happened to find Rick by chance in a wedding magazine, and we certainly lucked out. Rick was a pleasure to work with leading up to and on our wedding day. We had an initial meet and greet with at his home over bagels and photos. This is when we knew we must go with Rick. Rick makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and has the amazing ability to capture the moment. From our engagement shoot around Beacon Hill to the first look on the waterfront to taking the pedicab to the State Room to my husband rocking out with the band, Rick captured each moment of our special day. As we have shared the photos with our friends and family, everyone continues to comment on the amazing day and pictures. You cannot go wrong with Rick and his team.

Rick is a pleasure to work. Throughout the process from the initial "getting to know you" meeting, to the engagement shoot, on to the Big Day, and then to the the delivery of the final product. He's attentive to what you need, creative where it matters, and open to doing things a little differently.

There are many choices of photographer who I'm sure can all capture the events on this special day, but Rick also manages to capture the moments in between which represent the emotion, spirit, and joy of starting a new chapter in your lives together. Every last person who has seen our photographs has said "wow"!

Rick Bern is not only a terrific photographer who did a spectacular job at our wedding, but also he made the process fun. He gave us great ideas on what to expect, he was gentle but firm with staging shots that really worked, and then he delivered a fantastic album!

Rick was our photographer for our wedding. We had an engagement session first and took pictures at a nearby nature area. As soon as we started to take pictures I knew we picked the right photographer. He was fun to work with, was able to make my husband smile and had a vision for the shoot of what he wanted to get. I was so surprised when I saw the pictures, they were great! I didn't realize how he was getting the light just right. I honestly didn't think it would be particularly special, but was I wrong. The light, the way he captured us together, the interesting use of the setting, I never would have thought of any of that. Of course, he did the wedding as well. He was professional, patient, non intrusive, got everyone where they needed to be, but also made sure he got the "perfect" shots. He had all the standard shots but he also went for interesting and fun. He was able to capture the fun we had at the wedding. I would highly recommend working with Rick for a wedding or even for some family pictures. He really was the best. 5 stars!!
