Salespeople were very nice and friendly and quick to convince you to place an order on the dress and pay the deposit. My dress was suppose to arrive mid July, however it arrived 1 month late in mid August!
Also when buying the dress, keep in mind that the cost of alterations is very high

Overall, I had a good experience finding and buying my wedding gown at Ritche. I had some difficulty obtaining the official Maggie Sottero certificate but eventually was given it. The salespeople/seamstress did an outstanding job with helping to get the perfect dress fitting me perfectly. Sometimes the quarters were a bit cramped but overall, a good experience!

These ladies were awesome! Very helpful and willing to make my dreams come true, weather it was rushing an order, or buying off the rack, or discounting to fit my budget!!! Thank you girls!!!

I found my dress at the first store I went to and even though I bought it 2 years before the wedding, I didn’t regret my decision for a minute. I tried to shop around for the dress and found that there wasn’t really a better/cheaper place to buy it. When I tried my dress on 2 years ago I found a cathedral length veil that was perfect. When I returned to try on my dress in the store they could not find the veil. I searched high and low and could not find a veil that was like the one I had picked out originally. That was a huge disappointment.
Then let the fittings begin. I was disgusted when I was told that the hem of the dress would start at $250 and the sides $80 each, the bustles $10-20. I started to add it all up in my head and alterations were fast becoming half the price of my dress. Luckily my dress did not need a hem so we managed to keep the alterations to less than $300. The dress fit perfectly. I was so happy with it.
I was not impressed with the set up for the alterations department. It is really only made for one bride down there. For my first fitting another bride arrived early and rather than ask her to wait upstairs for the ½ hour until her appointment started my mother was asked to move her coat and bag from the chair so that they could sit down with us for my appointment. It was a little strange to have two people I didn’t know be there during my fitting. I doubt they would have someone else sit in the same room with you while you were trying to pick out your dress. Also, they have quite a few veils, shawls and jackets in the alterations area. While I was standing in front of the mirror a bride was trying to pick out a shawl for her wedding. I actually had to push my dress to the side while she had a look. I wonder if it would have been better to have a sales person come down to get some jackets or shawls to show her up on the sales floor.

I had an excellent experience with Ritche Bridal. I found my dress there and when I was unsure if I should choose a less expensive dress that I liked or the more expensive one that I loved, they offered (without my asking!) to sell me the sample at a steep discount. So, I loved my dress! We also bought the bridesmaids dresses there and although we had some challenges with one of the bridesmaid's being out of the country and needing to order her dress on a rush, Ritche was completely on top of everything and called me frequently with updates and were very accommodating. Florence was in charge of my alterations and did a beautiful job. They were fantastic!

These ladies know their stuff. First dress I tried on, and it was the one. They made me feel beautiful and special, and were incredibly flexible with me. Although the alterations were a little more expensive than I was originally quoted, in the grand scheme of things, not a huge problem. I couldn't have expected or wished for a better wedding dress experience!

This was one of the stores where I browsed gowns before I ended up buying at Bridal and Beyond. Ritche staff were fairly helpful, and they did have a decent selection of gowns, but unlike B&B where the dresses are all out for you to browse through, they were kept out back so you couldn't see the designs (you mostly had to ask them to go get a dress by name). Their hours were crappy (what bridal store is closed on a Sunday?). Also, I wanted to buy a Jade Daniels headpiece from them, and when I showed them the sample one they said it will take 3 months to order it. Bridal and Beyond had extras of it in their back room. Go to Bridal and Beyond instead!

Great experience buying my dress at Ritche. Jessica was so helpful, not at all pushy and knew the stock so well, the 3rd or 4th dress I tried on was the ONE! Alterations team was great as well, all around great experience!!

What an incredible experience I had with Ritchie Bridal. Both my consultant, Anna and Susan in alterations made this go off without a hitch! My dress was STUNNNING and I was told MULTIPLE times that day how I looked like a "barbie and should be modeling in a magazine for Brides". From start to finish, they made sure I was taken care of in all aspects making this experience one of the best. I would highly recommend them and I would suggest requesting Anna for your bridal consultant!!!

I visited Ritche a few weeks ago and had a horrible experience. I went with my mother and two of my bridesmaids. The woman helping us seemed extremely pleasant at first, and asked me to explain what I was looking for (princess style, sweetheart neckline, beaded top and lightly beaded/decorated bottom). She then explained she would bring me an entire selection and if I didn't like what she brought that she would not get offended as she rather not waste my time.
I thought...GREAT! That changed quickly.
She proceeded to bring me one round of dresses which included flamenco style, mermaid, etc etc. Exactly what I wasn't looking for. I said no thank you to the first few and she proceeded to bring me a second round of dresses, again, not what I asked for, so I kept stressing what I was looking for. But, I was there to try on dresses so I said I would give her dresses a try.
Round 3 of dresses continued with the same process, so I started to tell her it really wasn't what I was looking for. She then became visibly irritated by the fact that I didnt like what she was bringing, and as was I that she was not bringing me my requests. We then pulled out a bridal magazine to show her a few examples of similar styles of what we wanted to see. She continued with another round or two without success.
She then told me, "You can't get everything you want, we obviously don't have your dress here"
I was in SHOCK...All of us were left with our mouths open in amazement. Here is this high-end bridal shop that has been around for years, and for a simple (not too difficult dress request) has someone working there that is that rude and can't do her job, as I'm sure they would have had dresses there that would have met my criteria...if she actually would have brought them out!!
Anyways, I ended up buying my dress from a great shop in Bloor West Village, Jealous Bridesmaids. AMAZING SERVICE and I would recommend them to any bride.

I mixed and mached my dress. Took a bodice from one dress and the lace from another and upgraded with higher quality fabric. The dress was beautiful. It took about 7 fittings but that was more about the style of dress I chose. The seemstress and alterations departments were so helpful and ended up being like family! I wish they had been there on my wedding day! The dress was made and designed in Canada which I liked :) Good value for the money.

A little too involved, wanted more privacy while we shopped.
Found a veil at their sale, saved a great deal of money, so a 'plus' for having such a sale. You really could find a great dress at their sale, there were soooo many!

I had a very enjoyable experience working with Ritche Bridal. I was out of town until a few weeks before the wedding and all my alterations were completed expediently and without difficulty. The alterations were expensive ($550) which is approx. half the value of the dress, but that seems to be the going rate everywhere. I would recommend Ritche to any bride.

Went to their year end clearance sale and purchased a veil, a tiara & a cloth bag for my dress.
Paid 1/3 of what I was going to spend on JUST a veil.
While the customer service that day was defiantely focused on the brides buying dresses we still left happy with our great deals!

They are a delight to work with. I found my dream dress during their annual January sale and had the alterations done at shop. Beautiful dresses and accessories in a whole range of prices.
