We were very pleased with RiverCity DJ's at our wedding reception. Wes did a great job of playing exactly what we wanted and was super flexible when we made changes during the reception. He was great at reading the crowd. I would definitely recommend them!

I would highly recommend working with River City Entertainment. Wes Simms was the DJ who attended our wedding. He was great to work with, played great music which our guests enjoyed, and helped us have the time of our lives. He took over as master of ceremonies and kept the party going. He was also very flexible. We had a power outage the week of the wedding which made the venue a little hot. Wes not only ran the DJ equipment on a generator, but he helped us move the dance floor outside at the last minute and kept our guests having so much fun they never knew the venue was out of power. As a bride, it was nice to know that River City Entertainment was going to keep our guests entertained and walk my husband and I through every step of the reception. River City Entertainment is afforable and great to work with.

Wes Sims, our DJ fom RiverCity Entertainment, was awesome as was the pricing for his services, which included karaoke. He was friendly, knowledgeable, down-to-earth, made suggestions, and helped in any way he could. He was also quick to help smooth over the big flub that was our first dance - lol - since my husband's shoes got caught in the lacey hem of my gown. Honestly, at first I was a little apprehensive because every other DJ was $600+. However, that apprehension quickly melted away at our first meeting and now I'm singing his praises. He worked with us, played along, and even acquired music he didn't have that we were wanting. If ever you need a DJ, you need Wes Sims from RiverCity Entertainment

I believe there are two things that can make or break your celebration. First is hiring a person who doesn't have a passion for providing quality service as part of their business. Second, is hiring someone who doesn't have a passion for people. So many folks in the DJ/KJ entertainment business are in it for a quick buck and aren't worth the time it takes to contact them.


I recently had the opportunity and pleasure of coordinating my boss and dear friend's retirement party from LexisNexis for his boss. I spoke to over a dozen folks who were in a hurry to quote me a dollar amount and book a date but didn't want to take any time to find out about the event or what I wanted. At least, that's the way it was until I contact Wes Sims.


From my initial inquiry Wes took the time to be interested in want I wanted and needed to accomplish before, during and after the party. It was my desire to honor and celebrate all that Gary meant to us and to the company. We wanted to begin with a cocktail hour, continue into a sit down dinner and have a time after dinner to roast Gary and then share Karaoke fun (which was and is one of Gary's favorite pastime activities). Wes let me know that he had a wide variety of music resources and was helpful with suggestions for music genres to play to help set our atmosphere during cocktail hour and dinner. He designed his music for the evening around what we wanted to have available. He was a tremendous help in keeping our evening events flowing with his tasteful humor and emceeing talents.


He even took the initiative to ask for the name and telephone number so he could follow-up with our location manager to be sure he'd have everything he needed to do the job and be within their time and space requirements. He was there early to be setup and ready well before we arrived. He cleaned up, was and out of the building in plenty of time so as not to encounter additional fees from our party location.


Wes/RiverCity deserves all the credit for the success of the evening. Folks who were two and three levels above my boss attended and have taken the time to personally seek me out after the party to express their appreciation and to share how much they enjoyed the event.


You can't go wrong in selecting RiverCity Entertainment to help you celebrate your wedding.

Wes was awesome! He was very friendly and helpful. He did a wonderful job working around the needs of my family and accomodating any odd request that popped up and covering up any accidents (like my dress getting caught on my hubby's pants hehe). He was fun and pleasant and fell right into joking around with everyone. This man is awesome! :) If I ever need a DJ again (hopefully not for another wedding for me) I'll definitely track him down again and suggest him to everyone that's looking for a DJ.

RiverCity Entertainment made Leslie's reception a blast!! We worked under some tricky situations due to the hurricane that swept through Cincinnati, but that didn't stop anyone from having moving & grooving! Great work and I hope to work with you again sometime :)
