I'm not sure I could give a higher rating for this place if I tried. I was so impressed with them, from start to finish, and I just wish every bride could feel as secure and happy as they made me on my wedding day. I didn't have to worry about a thing. From the time I started contacting them back in September of 2009, they were very attentive and willing to work with my schedule, and this was before I signed anything. When we did sign the contract everything was put in writing and looked wonderful. There is so much included with the price here that you really can't go wrong: chair covers, centerpieces, cake cutting, ceremony site, dessert, day-of coordinator, rehearsal, etc.! Cindy (the owner) and her family were fantastic in the weeks leading up to the big day when I would call with questions. The day of the rehearsal we brought everything that needed to be set up (and it was a lot!) and they did it all. They didn't even complain when I forgot to bring the seating chart and had to bring it back later at night. The day of the wedding everything looked beautiful, I just couldn't believe it. Cindy kept everything running as close to our timeline as we could (we had a few family snafus) and didn't rush anyone at all. The food was phenomenal and our guests still talk about how good it was.The day after the wedding, my mom (who lives out of state) realized she forgot her purse in the reception hall. Cindy drove to the hall to check and ended up dropping off the purse and a pair of shoes that were left behind at a different location because it was easier for my parents. It really doesn't get any better than that. She went above and beyond and I will always be grateful.
the price of this hall included the food, the bar everything, it was very nice because the people were willing to work with you and make things the way that you wanted them.

We had our wedding here on August 21st, and I'll cover the good first....The venue is small, good for intimate receptions, the outdoor patio was a hit with out guests, and the food was delicious by all accounts.
The BAD - Getting ahold of someone is pretty much impossible. From my understanding the managers children have health issues, and you can never get a hold of her. Both the voice mail on her cell phone, and the hall's are constantly full, and it takes days for them to get back to you. They had originally double booked our date, but gave us a pretty good discount to move to a Friday. When we signed out contract and put our deposit down, we told them that we wanted a pig roast, it wasn't until 7 days before the wedding that they told us we would have to get our own pig roaster, and we had problems getting ahold of them about it. Finally 2 days before the wedding, someone called us back and told us that they got one, but we would have to pay them for it the night of the reception. Then they called us 45 minutes before the ceremony started to tell us that they would only take cash for it, when we had a check all written out. GRR, who has time to run to the ATM then??? The service and attitude was extremely poor. I (the bride) was dumping ashtrays for my guests, and picking up empty glasses to return to the bar. When I said something to the manager about it, she told me "It's not her job to wash glasses" and the bartender that was at the Tiki Bar - that we paid extra for - said that I "should tell my guests to bring their glasses back with them". I was really amazed by their rudeness. They had pulled everyones champagne glasses when they went up to the buffet, when we had 2 other people to give toasts. I could go on, but I'm sure you get my point, it was a horrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
The Riverhouse is a great spot and it worked out beautifully for us. The service was great and the staff was very accommodating. It was also very nice that we had the place to ourselves as in the summer the site is only open for events. I would highly recommend the site.
