Riverside Hotel

We had our November 2012 wedding and brunch at the Riverside Hotel. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful Mark Sempel & his staff were. Mark coordinated everything-- we didn't have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, we can't say enough good things about the Riverside!!

this hotel is beautiful. mark semple is absolutely the most fabulous person ever. he answered every question we had, he made sure the wedding and reception went off without a hitch. he couldn't have done more for us if he tried. i reccomend this hotel for the wedding and reception. the food was so above and beyond what you think of as "hotel" food. it was more like a gourmet meal at a five star restaurant. what a great team at this hotel. love,love,love them!

Mark and the event staff at riverside hotel was perfect!! Mark answered all my questions whenever they came up. He provided anything and everything we requested. This hotel was the perfect setting for the wedding and provided wonderful backrounds for the photos. I had several family members stay there as well and plan on staying there any time they come to florida. The food was fantastic as well! It was def. not typical wedding food. By far Mark Semple is the star and deserves an award for how awesome he was!!

I stayed at Riverside Hotel the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids and that's where we got ready. The staff was amazing and we got upgraded to a suite with no extra charge. Also, my husband and I stayed there two nights after the wedding and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The place has beautiful decor, and the rooms are super clean. Great place to stay...:)

Most of our guests were from out of town, our wedding took place nearby and we tried to set up room blocks for them. They were rude to our guests, and had trouble handing out the guest bags. We had to call them on a regular basis after hearing from our guests as they tried to make reservations and were told there are no room blocks for our wedding.

Mark at the Riverside Hotel was extremely accomadating. Las Olas and the riverfront area is a beatiful spot for a venue. This hotel has a lot of history as well. Great food and service.

My wedding reception was at the Riverside and was handled by Mark Semple. I had a list of things that I knew needed to be done as far as catering, venue set up, etc. and every time I called to check on something, Mark already had it taken care of. All of my requests were handled professionally and though it did take awhile to get in touch with someone most times I called, my calls were always returned by the end of the next day. The day of my wedding Mark informed me that he could not be there but two other people would be taking over for him. This made me a little nervous. However, everything turned out perfectly. Debbie was excellent. The only qualm I had was when my husband and I went to check-in to our hotel room, the woman at the front desk had no idea that our wedding was taking place and that a room should have been reserved for us. We were also a little disappointed that the room she did end up giving us was just a regular room - we had hoped for something a little more than that. I also selected table linens through the Riverside, I was very pleased with the selection and quality. I received a lot of good feedback. The food was delicious. I had read other reviews that were so-so about the Riverside, but I was very happy with our wedding reception there.

I chose them for many reasons. I had the cermony, cocktail hour and recepation. The food was fantastic. I did not want an outside caterer. That is more room for error. Highly recommend.
