Robbins Bros

We actually visited their Lombard, IL location (which has since closed its doors), but we were treated with the utmost respect there. We purchased my engagement ring and our wedding bands there, and the service was exceptional. I had to get my engagement ring resized after losing some weight, and we barely had to wait one hour for them to complete the work. Though this location has shut down, I am glad to hear that the other Chicago area stores are still open - we'll get our bands cleaned there. The quality of our jewelry is exceptional, and we purchased some very unique pieces that elicit many compliments.

It is too bad that Robbins Bros. has gone out of business, because they were very professional, had a huge variety, and were great to work with.

Robbins Bros was GREAT! I'm upset that their Illinois locations have been shut down :(! I bought my wife's engagement ring and wedding band here and both were GORGEOUS and extremely well made. For a chain jewelry store, they are the best I've ever seen in quality and style! Furthermore, being a larger national chain, they are able to offer lower prices than a small local jeweler would be able to, so you get the quality of a professional jewelry with the price of a large retail jewelry chain. I would go back a hundred times (except that the Illinois locations are closed), and if I ever happen to live within 200 miles of their other stores, I will go back for anniversary ring(s) and other jewelry. The only thing I experienced a bit of a problem with was that they didn't accept payment over the phone or online, and I was out of town for three months while paying off the engagement ring. After I had explained my situation, though, they were more than willing to accept phone payments, so it worked out wonderfully.

Robbins Bros was a great vendor for my engagement ring and our wedding bands. They always provide great customer service, they have a wonderful selection of products, and seem to be reasonably priced. The diamond/setting lifetime warrenties are great, and they were very easy to work with when my wedding band came back sized appropriately, but didn't fit with my engagment ring's setting.

It's also really convenient that they have so many locations throughout the city; I've been able to stop in for a cleaning at the various Chicago-land locations while being out and about.

Great service and great quality

My husband and I were beginning our education on diamonds and went to two jewelers. One was a high end jeweler in downtown Chicago, the other was Robbins Bros. We were treated MUCH better at Robbins Bros, and their selection and cost was much better too! We selected the setting together, and a few months later when my husband was ready to purchase the diamond, the sales team remembered him and still had all our information saved. We've recommended Robbins Bros. to our friends, and had three couples purchase their rings there because of our recommendation!

Would not get a plain mens band there, way cheaper at other stores.
Great selection for womens bands though. My wife changed her mind on her band 2 weeks before and we were still able to get something she loved within time.
