Robert Giede Designs

I didn’t know that Brock was going to propose, but we had talked about the kind of ring I wanted. I was stuck between wanting a diamond engagement ring, yet not wanting a ‘blood diamond’. I also wanted something that was made locally, and that was one of a kind. I guess Brock did his research, because he surprised me with a beautiful wax ring! It was actually the mold of the ring he had designed with Robert, which was amazing. The ring curved into the folds of my skin. When I wear it, I can barely tell it’s there. When we went to the shop together, I also found out that Robert can get Canadian diamonds, which I thought might be better, or that we could use a precious stone of our own choosing. I ended up going with the Canadian diamond, just because it was what I always wanted, and we also had matching bands. The rings are really pieces of art, and I am so happy with my ring.

I knew I wanted an original ring, but I had no idea what exactly I wanted. I was also afraid that having a someone make a custom ring for me would be too expensive! My fiance really wanted me to have a ring, so we visited a local jeweler in Menomonie. It was a woman at the coop that referred me, and I thought her ring looked nice.
Robert Giede was an amazing person to work with. He is an artist, and he has the ability to understand what a client wants. The ring was made to custom fit my hand, all the groves, and when I look at it, I am just so happy!

What makes the ring unique (I guess I should expand on that), is that Robert Giede can work with the materials you bring in (i.e.: stones, or gold). Though my ring is just a binding of several bands, we toyed with the idea of getting a meaningful semi-precious stone. Robert Giede also lets us talk with him throughout the entire process, and provides us with a caste of the ring before he sets it. We could have made last minutes changes if we needed to!

And the cost was nothing when you see and feel the workmanship of the ring. I am so happy with the final product, I happily suggest this as an alternative for the person who wants more than just the gold band and with a diamond in the center. I feel that my ring really shows how special our married lives will be together.
