Rockin' Robin's DJs

I just want to say that Rockin Robin ROCKED my wedding!! It was Amazing and the best part is that he appeals to all ages with a variety of music! Robin is so spunky and knows how to entertain a crowd!! He treated us like family not just clients. Did I mention that he is hilarious? I already had high expectations and he exceeded those by far. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!!

Rockin robin was great. They really were involved with the wedding. They kept people dancing. They were also very flexible with any changes that happened and made sure the bride was ready with whatever was going to happen next.

My daughter Anna Marie married Dennis Guy at Club Windward, 1.5.2013. Dennis and Anna knew Robin and Linda Knowles, and had spoken well about Rockin' Robin's DJS over the years. My family and I are parishioners at St.Ann - Bartlett and they have DJ'ed events at the church and school over the years, as well. I was not completely convinced it would fit with our formal wedding and guests. Well, I am know completely CONVINCED. Rockin' Robin's DJS turned a quiet wedding event into a fun-filled family event, and saved the day. Robin and Linda took over and if you review our wedding photos, and others on the web site, you will see guests having the best time ever. All ages, all levels of participation, the party was not a party until Robin and Linda took over. They don't just "spin records", they get people on the floor, dancing, laughing, and making memories. I did not know Robin and Linda before this wedding, but they are now friends...that's how much they want your event to be special. We loved Rockin' Robin!!! They were wonderful to work with and helped make sure that the whole wedding ran smoothly. They had everyone dancing on the dance floor until the very end. We had a wide variety of guest attend our wedding and they were able to play a selection of songs that pleased everyone. My Boss used this DJ service at their reception in 2010. I thought they did a pretty good job and after researching DJs in 2012 found that Rockin Robins was better suited for my wedding budget.

From the first conversation with "Rockin Robin" we knew they were the DJ company for my daughter's wedding! They are true professionals and are great at what they do! They met with my daughter and her fiance for almost 3 hours to get to know them and exactly what they wanted for the ceremony and the reception of their wedding! Eric was our DJ and he was "awesome"! I had one of the most amazing receptions and it was in huge part robin’s doing! I was initially worried about getting a dj who could make both crowds happy (the older and the younger 20’ s crowd) but we scored with Robin he did it perfectly. Also when booking him your not just receiving a dj to provide music you receive a dj who can entertain the crowd as well. I don’t think a single person was bored. I can't tell you how many compliments we received about our DJ from all my guests! Rockin robin has impressed so many! Everyone told me they were going to call Robin to see if he traveled long distances to do their weddings in other states and countries!! Haha! It was beyond all of my expectations and he definitely made a life long customer because if we throw any other party he will be the only DJ we ever consider! Rockinrobindj was awesome! I asked for him specifically cause I heard he was so good. He proved better than I thought! He also took photos of which I was glad cause my photographer couldn't be everywhere at one time so I had some extra pictures from my wedding to have! So that was a big treat! The event turned out great, and the music was well done. Robin takes pics of the entire evening, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by his work and immediately wanted to purchase the photos b/c he captured some really great moments and I could not stop laughing. He keeps the crowd going, gets them pumped for dancing, and transitions the dancing in a way that works well. He is very organized, has tons of music to select from, and makes it pretty easy to orchestrate the funnest part of the entire evening. I enjoyed his ideas very much, and it made planning this portion of our wedding fun and entertaining. He also gives you a CD to keep of the wedding music you selected for your big day. We also used Robin for lighting, which I was also happy with. He and his wife are very helpful in making suggestions, something I welcomed. Overall, I was very satisfied with his services.

The DJ did an excellent job in keeping the guests dancing the night away! We really had a good time!

I can't say enough about what a great job Rockin Robin and his crew did at my daughter's wedding reception. When meeting with the bride and groom before the wedding he went through in detail how the night would flow and helped them make music selections that were reflective of their personalities along with timeless classics. He kept the crowd involved and entertained. I still have guests telling me what a a great DJ and how much fun they had at the reception. Also his up lighting of the room and cake table made the venue glow. Your DJ makes the reception and Rockin Robin DEFINITELY delivered!

Rockin' Robin DJs were SO GREAT! I can't even begin to describe how much fun we had and how much our guests enjoyed the wedding. Since we live out of town, we only had a chance to meet with them once before the wedding so I was kind of nervous that they would understand exactly what we wanted/our music tastes but they got it exactly right and were so flexible in dealing with us--we are kind of picky about what music we like/don't like and had a few odd requests but they made it happen and I can't imagine that it could have gone any better than it did. I had quite a few of our guests tell me it was the most fun wedding they'd ever been to and I know a big part of that is because of the awesome entertainment Rockin Robin's DJs provided. Another great thing about them: they are super affordable and both of the DJs who actually worked with us on the day of the wedding brought such a great energy to the wedding. They were out there all night taking pictures (which we didn't even ask/didn't know they would do) and making sure everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a very energetic, fun, and professional DJ service at their wedding.

We had Rockin Robin DJ's do our wedding reception and it was definitely not what we expected. We had been to many events that Rockin Robin had done and for the price and name we had been expecting an outstanding job. First of all a month before the wedding we found out we did not get the DJ we had wanted because he was unavailable on that date. Then at our meeting we did not even get to meet the actual DJ who was in charge of the reception.
At the reception, the dj did his job and played music but was nothing above average. He did not get involved with the crowd at all like we had asked and barely even said or did anything besides play what music we had discussed. The sound quality was also not great and it was hard to hear him when he did say anything.
We were disapointed in this service and I would recommend using someone else or making sure you get Robin as the dj.

I don't even know where to begin! Robin is the owner and he did our wedding. He was beyond awesome!!! Everyone loved him! A couple weeks before our wedding we met with him and finalized everything and he really helped us pick our processional music because i was stumped. He really got to know us and the type of music we like and on the night of we had people on the dance floor from 6pm-10pm! Everyone danced all night long - it was so amazing!!! They also did the lighting and it was beautiful the Monogram on the floor was perfect. He truly helped to make it one of the best nights of my life - so memorable, so much fun!!! On top of being a phenomenal DJ the photos he took are absolutely incredible I could have saved on my photographer and just used his pictures.

You can’t go wrong with Rockin’ Robin in your corner. Robin and his crew were a big hit at my daughter wedding on 05/11/12. Our family and friends are still talking about all the fun they had singing, dancing and playing games. They were amazed that the music cover all age groups (3 to 93). Robin and his crew took the time to sit with us and helped us plan the music to each event that night. He’s just as detailed as the bride is and that is what helps make the night, because he wants the bride and groom to have one less thing to worry about. (and mom too!!) Rockin’ Robin also did the up lighting for us at the cake tables, staircase, and around the room as well as the dance floor. Having them do the up lighting in these spot just made the room complete. I can honestly say that this was money well spent and we can’t wait to use ROCKIN’ ROBIN DJs again.

MY guests said this was the best wedding they had ever been to. Robin was fun, exciting, and attentive. There was never a dull moment and my guest left with the memories of a lively and fun night.

Rockin Robin's DJ was the best thing for our wedding. They played music from the Prelude of the Wedding all the way to the end of the Reception and didn't miss a beat at all. Rockin' Robin's DJs go above and beyond to make your special day, just that, special. Robin walks you step by step on how your event is going to play out, which is an important thing for brides that are into details! Everything went exactly as planned and my husband and I were able to cut things short, speed things up (cake cuttings, garter toss, bouquet toss, etc.) as the reception went along. This company is GREAT! Not only do they play great music (that you select) but they help get your friends and family on the dance floor. I have recommended RR to many of my friends and I would most certainly use them again. I've been married for almost 6 months and our guests are still raving about how great Robin and his "bird crew" were! :)

Rockin Robin DJ'd our daughter's wedding reception this past weekend and did an amazing job! Loren kept the dance floor full and rockin the entire evening...from the planning stage up until the final song...they were easy to work with. They totally understood what the bridge and groom wanted...and did they ever deliver! I had so many people tell me afterwards that this was the best DJ they had ever seen at any party! I would recommend Rockin Robin to anyone that needs a DJ. Robin went above and beyond for our wedding! We also used them to coordinate all of our lighting for the reception and cocktail hour. People are still talking about how much fun the wedding was and how gorgeous it was. Our dance floor was never empty and everything went on schedule without a hitch because Robin has such a great understanding of how to keep things flowing and how to get the guests involved in the wedding. I owe a lot of the success of my wedding to the hard work that they put into helping make our wedding a success! Robin was always quick to answer my calls or call me back and always had a solution for any problem that I came up with. He was willing to meet with me as many times as necessary to make sure that I was comfortable with everything that would happen on wedding day so that I could just relax and enjoy the party. And what a PARTY it was! I will definitely be using their services for any future DJ needs and recommend them to all of my engaged friends whenever they ask about my experience.

Rockin' Robin's was a huge hit at our wedding! Our friends and family loved the music selections and were dancing all night long! Robin played music for all age groups present at the wedding and it was also appropriate music. Robin played our guests requests and also played from the list my husband and I made before the wedding. I really liked being able to meet with Robin before the wedding day and go over the different events of the reception and figuring out what song would be appropriate for each event. Robin also provided dance lighting for our dance floor and around the reception hall and wedding cake. We just had our wedding on April 30 2011 outside in memphis tn. We used rockin robins djs for our music on referral. Robin personally did our wedding and was fantastic. During the prep phase he helped me pick the right music for the right times and was very professional with a large repertoire of music. During the ceremony he phased the songs in and out it was seamless. For the reception he had such an outgoing and fantastic energy and got everyone dancing. He played all the songs we wanted and even had a good idea when i requested a single song with my god father. He helped to inform everyone when the cake cutting was and all the other activities. He was the best dj i have seen at a wedding, all of my guests agreed and very worth the price. I am very happy to have used Rockin Robins DJs at our wedding, it turned out fantastic.

Rockin Robins was AWESOME at our reception! I was so worried that no one would dance because we both have shy families. We never left the dance floor! We had a much better time than i ever couldve imagined! they are so professional, not some punk that plays explicit and tastless music. They play what you want and make sure everyone is having a great time! They are a little pricey compared to others but you pay for what you get! I wouldnt have any other DJ! I recommend them to everyone in the West Tennessee area.

Rockin' Robin's DJs made our wedding. Robin and his staff provided us with music but he also brings personality, perfessionalism, and fun to your wedding. We first met Robin at Carahills II and new that his personality was something that we had to have at our wedding. I did not have a good experience with Rockin' Robin's DJs. The DJ they assigned to work our wedding was TERRIBLE! He was very prompt at the get-go, but the day of - I don't know what happened. He spent most of his time outside smoking while his two young assistants DJed the music. He also did our ceremony music - which he messed up. He WOULD NOT look/listen for prompts to start songs. During our ceremony, my coordinator had to run out and wave her arms furiously to get him to see her so she could make him stop a song that he started too early. He did that several times during the reception when we weren't ready for him to start event songs like my bouquet toss.

**Update Response 06-05-2012** I left this review after my wedding in 2007. I had not gone back to notice that the owner left a response to my review. He stated that I did not contact him to let him know of my difficulties with his contracted DJ, which is in fact untrue. I called and left a voice message and did not receive a return call. I then went Online and submitted a comment on his website. I received a response stating that services were provided as contracted - neither an apology nor an offer of resolution was given. I do not give negative comments of products and services lightly. I believe in lifting up those who provide exemplary service. All of my other wedding vendors were wonderful and I made sure they were all given proper credit.

Our DJ adapted to the flow of our wedding and made the night very special for us. He even stayed later than agreed upon (for a cost) to continue the festivities.

Yes, our wedding was 8 years ago. So why am I leaving a review? One, because I don't think Wedding Wire existed then. And two, because we STILL TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH FUN WE HAD AT OUR RECEPTION. I am happy to say that if we had to do it all over again, we would pay to have RRDJ's do our reception. When we returned from our honeymoon, I had received an email from my Best Man...he said "We just wanted to tell you how easy to work with your photographer was, and what an absolute BLAST we had at your reception." To this day...with ANY mention of our wedding, my mother-in-law almost always says, "We had so much fun that day...the reception was great." Anyway, I could go on and on.... Suffice it to say that we weren't sure what kind of dancing and stuff would be going on with the large mix of ages/generations, but Robin had everyone from age 8 to 80 out on the dance floor "cutting a rug" and making us feel like the true stars of our show. We did the "YMCA" with costumes, and my father-in-law (a bi-vocational Baptist minister, I might add) got in on the fun! The mantra of 'you get what you pay for' has never been truer...if you want some kid that only charges 300 bucks and drives his Mom's station wagon and unloads old equipment with 5 minutes to spare, go right ahead. But if you wanna be talking about your reception for years to come and know that it's gonna be done right, by a professional team that knows their stuff....you can't go wrong with Rockin Robin's DJs.

If you're planning a wedding, or celebration of any kind... The best move you will make, is making Rockin' Robin a part of the celebration. GREAT GUYS!
