You can’t go wrong with Rockin’ Robin in your corner. Robin and his crew were a big hit at my daughter wedding on 05/11/12. Our family and friends are still talking about all the fun they had singing, dancing and playing games. They were amazed that the music cover all age groups (3 to 93). Robin and his crew took the time to sit with us and helped us plan the music to each event that night. He’s just as detailed as the bride is and that is what helps make the night, because he wants the bride and groom to have one less thing to worry about. (and mom too!!) Rockin’ Robin also did the up lighting for us at the cake tables, staircase, and around the room as well as the dance floor. Having them do the up lighting in these spot just made the room complete. I can honestly say that this was money well spent and we can’t wait to use ROCKIN’ ROBIN DJs again.

Rockin Robin's DJ was the best thing for our wedding. They played music from the Prelude of the Wedding all the way to the end of the Reception and didn't miss a beat at all. I was very impressed by them as well as alot of my friends and family. They were super easy to work with performed everything with a smile and a great attitude. They even had another event to do after my wedding and reception, and they never rushed out the door as they played the entire time we paid them for. I would recommend them to anyone for whatever event they have. They do an outstanding job and you will be highly satisfied if you let them DJ your event. Rockin' Robin's DJs go above and beyond to make your special day, just that, special. Robin walks you step by step on how your event is going to play out, which is an important thing for brides that are into details! Everything went exactly as planned and my husband and I were able to cut things short, speed things up (cake cuttings, garter toss, bouquet toss, etc.) as the reception went along. This company is GREAT! Not only do they play great music (that you select) but they help get your friends and family on the dance floor. I have recommended RR to many of my friends and I would most certainly use them again. I've been married for almost 6 months and our guests are still raving about how great Robin and his "bird crew" were! :)

Rockin Robin DJ'd our daughter's wedding reception this past weekend and did an amazing job! Loren kept the dance floor full and rockin the entire evening...from the planning stage up until the final song...they were easy to work with. They totally understood what the bridge and groom wanted...and did they ever deliver! I had so many people tell me afterwards that this was the best DJ they had ever seen at any party! Last weekend, 9-10-11 you guys provided the reception music at my daughter's wedding and it could not have been better! You got the party started and kept the dance floor full all night long. As well as providing opportunities for toast and my favorite, the father daughter dance. Rockin' Robin's was a huge hit at our wedding! Our friends and family loved the music selections and were dancing all night long! Robin played music for all age groups present at the wedding and it was also appropriate music. Robin played our guests requests and also played from the list my husband and I made before the wedding. I really liked being able to meet with Robin before the wedding day and go over the different events of the reception and figuring out what song would be appropriate for each event. Robin also provided dance lighting for our dance floor and around the reception hall and wedding cake. It was absolutely beautiful and it really brought the whole room together and set the mood for the evening. Robin was professional, organized and really did an excellent job. I recommend him to anyone who is planning a party, wedding, any event that you want people to dance and have a good time at because he knows how to get people on the dance floor and keep them there!

Rockin Robins was AWESOME at our reception! I was so worried that no one would dance because we both have shy families. We never left the dance floor! We had a much better time than i ever couldve imagined! they are so professional, not some punk that plays explicit and tastless music. They play what you want and make sure everyone is having a great time! They are a little pricey compared to others but you pay for what you get! I wouldnt have any other DJ! I recommend them to everyone in the West Tennessee area.
We just had our wedding on April 30 2011 outside in memphis tn. We used rockin robins djs for our music on referral. Robin personally did our wedding and was fantastic. During the prep phase he helped me pick the right music for the right times and was very professional with a large repertoire of music. During the ceremony he phased the songs in and out it was seamless. For the reception he had such an outgoing and fantastic energy and got everyone dancing. He played all the songs we wanted and even had a good idea when i requested a single song with my god father. He helped to inform everyone when the cake cutting was and all the other activities. He was the best dj i have seen at a wedding, all of my guests agreed and very worth the price. I am very happy to have used Rockin Robins DJs at our wedding, it turned out fantastic.

Rockin' Robin's DJs made our wedding. Robin and his staff provided us with music but he also brings personality, perfessionalism, and fun to your wedding. We first met Robin at Carahills II and new that his personality was something that we had to have at our wedding. Robin had everyone enjoying themselves from the time they walked into the door until the time they left. Rockin' Robin's DJs is the way to go.

My husband and I got married March 5th and using Rockin' Robin was the best decision! We did not have a wedding coordinator and he was a life saver at the reception. He kept things moving and organized and our guests LOVED him. We met with him beforehand and he had some great suggestions for us, but really listened to specific things we wanted as well. There are not enough words to describe how absolutely wonderful Rockin' Robin DJ's were!!! Robin and his wife were the ones who handled our ceremony and reception and they did a perfect job!! everything we discussed prior to the wedding was exactly how it went, there were no surprises and not only did they play the music we wanted they made it fun!! they were respectful, extremely nice, very professional and knowledgeable about music and deejaying in general. we will NEVER use anyone else and we have recommended them to everyone we know, people are still talking about what a wonderful and fun job they did at the wedding!! i cannot express how great they are, the price is reasonable and believe me you will get your money's worth with this extrordinarily, talented people, you will feel comfortable and as if if you have known them forever! if you choose anyone other than Rockin Robin DJ's you truly have missed out, they are the absolute best!!!!!

Rockin Robin was phenomenal for our wedding! We lived out of town and they were very flexible and met with us whenever our crazy schedules allowed. They were very professional and sought to completely personalize their work for our wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a DJ in the greater Memphis area.

Our DJ adapted to the flow of our wedding and made the night very special for us. He even stayed later than agreed upon (for a cost) to continue the festivities.

Yes, we were asked shortly before our contracted time was up to stay an addition hour and continue to play music. And yes, we charge for that additional hour of service. We really don't know anyone that goes to work for an agreed amount of money, and then their employer asks them to stay an hour longer and not pay them. That is unless they are "salaried" employees. We have contracts that clearly reads the times that the client has us booked for when they hire us, and we always point that out! We also have any overtime charges clearly typed in and this is also pointed out. Unfortunately, some people simply forget that by the time their event rolls around, especially if they have been drinking alcoholic beverages. To avoid any confusion, all clients should make sure they have a clear understanding before they hire their DJ, and maybe even bring a copy with them to their event.

Yes, our wedding was 8 years ago. So why am I leaving a review? One, because I don't think Wedding Wire existed then. And two, because we STILL TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH FUN WE HAD AT OUR RECEPTION. I am happy to say that if we had to do it all over again, we would pay to have RRDJ's do our reception. When we returned from our honeymoon, I had received an email from my Best Man...he said "We just wanted to tell you how easy to work with your photographer was, and what an absolute BLAST we had at your reception." To this day...with ANY mention of our wedding, my mother-in-law almost always says, "We had so much fun that day...the reception was great." Anyway, I could go on and on.... Suffice it to say that we weren't sure what kind of dancing and stuff would be going on with the large mix of ages/generations, but Robin had everyone from age 8 to 80 out on the dance floor "cutting a rug" and making us feel like the true stars of our show. We did the "YMCA" with costumes, and my father-in-law (a bi-vocational Baptist minister, I might add) got in on the fun! The mantra of 'you get what you pay for' has never been truer...if you want some kid that only charges 300 bucks and drives his Mom's station wagon and unloads old equipment with 5 minutes to spare, go right ahead. But if you wanna be talking about your reception for years to come and know that it's gonna be done right, by a professional team that knows their stuff....you can't go wrong with Rockin Robin's DJs.

Prompt return of your phone calls, emails or online booking forms
You should expect to get a call back or an email reply within 24 hours. Many DJs are out working and may not be able to return your call within a couple of hours.
Is the price too good to be true?
It seems that DJs are often the last service chosen, after much of the budget is expended on a venue, food and clothing. This often leads brides and party planners to shop for the cheapest price possible because of a lack of resources. This often backfires when holding out for the lowest price. However, if you follow the guiding principles noted here, you will know how to avoid services that have a rock bottom price because they will not be able to display the level of quality and attention to detail that EVERY client deserves!
The DJ should provide a "proven track record" by providing a list of vendors that also recommend them!
The DJ should provide a list of “verifiable testimonials" of weddings they have RECENTLY worked!
Does the DJ use professional grade equipment? If the DJ cannot provide recent pictures or video of their gear, you should ask to set up a time to see the equipment or see pictures of their equipment set up.
A professional DJ service should be facilitated to work Ceremonies as well as the Receptions!
Will the DJ offer to meet with you AFTER signing the contract to plan the details of your event?
A professional DJ should ALWAYS be willing to discuss your event at any mutually agreeable point in time before the event, and should display the flexibility to accommodate changes, be creative, and help you solve any problems. A professional DJ will always provide a Wedding Planner, and go over it with you from beginning to end. Meeting with your DJ to plan your event is very important to the success of your wedding.
You should consider your DJ service an insurance policy!
An insurance policy that insures all of the other money you have spent will not result in bad memories. As they say, "you get what you pay for". This is especially true when hiring wedding professionals. Less Expensive usually means less Experience. And yet many people will pay far more for a cake, flowers, or food than they will for the most crucial ingredient of your event - the entertainment. The photographer is responsible for capturing those Kodak moments on film. This is an important job. But, the DJ is responsible for creating those moments! This too is an important job!
