If I could say one word to describe this venue and overall experience--OUTSTANDING. Rockwood Carriage House is nestled into a lovely, historic area and the facility both indoors and outdoors is beautiful. More importantly, from the very beginning, the entire staff was friendly and helpful regarding making our wedding day what we had envisioned. They were organized, communicative, and flexible with changes. Once the day arrived, things ran seamlessly and our guests are still raving about the wonderful time they had, the delicious food, and amazing service. It was truly the best day of our lives--because we married each-other and because we had the wedding at Rockwood! If you are looking for a unique, rustic setting for your wedding at a reasonable price, this is the place for you. :)

My husband and I had our wedding at the Carriage house in March! We chose to plan the wedding in just a short three months and Michelle and her team were super helpful in that short time frame. They took so much stress off my mom and I during the planning. The day of everything was PERFECT! All the wait staff was very attentive, especially to my wedding party I dont think any of us ever had to ask for anything! To put it simply they are AMAZING at the carriage house. I couldnt of had a more perfect expereince and I would reccomend the Carriage house at Rockwood Park to anyone!

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it was to work with the entire team at the Carriage House. My daughter's wedding couldn't have been nicer and the professionalism and assistance that we received was beyond words. We received numerous comments about the venue itself (how nice and different it was), how it was some of the best wedding food they ever had and how it was just beautiful.

I had my wedding there the other night, I had the time of my life. I've never been to a wedding there other then my own, but I know without a doubt that my wedding was the best ever. So if your looking for a venue to have the best wedding ever please please consider Rockwood Carriage House. From our first visit there with Michele we fell in love with the venue and Michelle. All my guests were in awe of the place. We loved it. I had a night wedding and the ambiance was gorgeous. The upstairs where the ceremony is done was perfect and beautiful. The cocktail hour was so much fun. All the guest were raving about the appetizers and Craig's carvings on the appetizer table. 6 people told me the Bruschetta was the best they ever had. My husband and I were the only ones announced in and let me tell you the main hall was spectacular the lighting was breathtaking. the food was incredible. And Michelle the Event Coordinator is my favorite person ever. I honestly have met a lot of people in my life she is at the top of the list. Craig worked with us to get the price where we could afford it. Rockwood I would say is Delaware's Best kept secret. One of the best thing is you bring your own liquor and they provide the bartenders. The savings alone there is priceless. So I would highly recommend to anyone. I would love to have a do over and relive the night again. I know my wedding was the best ever.. Rockwood can help you makes yours the best ever too. Trust me. I love you Michele and Thank you so much again for making our night the Best that it could possibly be. P.s the wait staff were incredible to thank them for me.

I can't say enough great things about the Greenery Caterers. The Carriage House at Rockwood Park venue is stunningly beautiful inside and out (I had both my ceremony and reception here), but most importantly, the staff made our wedding an amazing experience that I'll never forget. Patti worked with our budget and special requests, Margaret was so nice and helpful with all my questions, and Michelle was there to assist cheerfully with every detail on the big day, from finding me a lighter (which I forgot!) for my centerpiece candles, to keeping me calm when we had a DJ issue right before the ceremony, to making sure my husband and I did not want for anything during the reception and were enjoying ourselves. The wedding was seamless, thanks to their amazing team. Even the staff behind the scenes whom I'd not met until the big day were super sweet and helpful.

The food will impress - my guests raved about how great everything tasted, and the fact that there was such an abundance of food! If, like me, you're vegetarian/vegan or have guests with special diets, Greenery Caterers also does a great job accomodating these requests. Finally, Craig does amazing fruit and veggie carvings that are like works of art. They were beautiful and my guests couldn't stop admiring them and taking photos. Just one more example of how Greenery really makes the extra effort and succeeds in all the details.

I've gotten so many compliments on our wedding (my guests can't stop raving that it was the best one they've ever been to). I can't thank the Greenery Caterers enough for making our special day fun, stress-free, seamless, and just perfect.

The Staff at the Carriage House are wonderful people. They are super easy to work with and reach and very flexible. They are fantastic at addressing food allergies and handling anxious situations. Craig's carvings are incredible, not to mention the FANTASTIC food. I HIGHLY recommend working with the Carriage House for your reception.

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at Rockwood Carriage House and are absolutely positive we made the right choice.

Greenery Caterers did an incredible job- the food and service were amazing and everything went very smoothly. Patti was a big help with menu and layout planning, Craig's food and carvings were incredible, and Michelle was the biggest help on our wedding day, I can't imagine the day without her.

We had a lot of DIY projects and they worked with us to be able to store them before the wedding and even let us leave a few things there to pick up a couple days later that would not fit in our car.

We got so many compliments on our wedding and absolutely recommend Rockwood and Greenery Caterers.

The only negative thing is how far they book out! If you want a Saturday night wedding then be prepared to wait at least a year (we waited 13 months for ours)

We had our wedding reception at the Carriage House. Greenery Caterers did a fantastic job. We had so many compliments about the service, the food, and the overall reception. Patti, Michelle, and Margaret were always there to answer our questions. They were always very attentive to us prior to our wedding and during our wedding as well. We did a lot of things ourselves such as our centerpieces and other decorations for the reception and everything was set up exactly as we had discussed. The venue itself is beautiful and different than your typical hotel or country club. We loved the park and the carriage house. The venue combined with the food and service just made for a wonderful wedding experience. We are so happy we picked Rockwood Carriage House - Greenery Caterers. A little something to keep in mind is they do book up in advance! When we booked in August of 2011, almost all of the dates in September and October of 2012 were booked! That wasn't an issue for us as we wanted November, but it's good to keep in mind if you want your wedding here - they book up fast!

Our son and daughter-in-laws's reception was absolutely perfect. Fantastic food, beautiful venue and set-ups, great staff, and attention to detail. The DJ (one of those they suggest) was excellent, the volume was just right, and the dance floor was full all night. My husband and I went to nine weddings (!) this year, and we may be biased, but the reception at the Carriage House was far and above all of them. It was a pleasure for the kids and both moms to work with everyone there. And even more of a pleasure to attend... I told our other boys to find women in the Wilmington area so we can do it again :O) Thanks you!

We had a wonderful experience with Michelle and her staff at The Rockwood Carriage House. Everything from the planning to the day of our event Michelle was very helpful and shared her knowledge with us to make my daughters wedding a wonderful and relaxed day. Usually when you attend weddings the food is just okay, but the food was amazing. I can't speak highly enough about all the attention we received and the details that were handled by her staff. I am from out of town and having Michelle to work with made me feel at ease.

The Rockwood Carriage House was the perfect venue for our October wedding. We were looking for a place that could accommodate an outside ceremony in a unique and scenic setting with a rustic / country vibe. We also wanted to be able to hold our reception in the same location. When we stumbled upon Rockwood and first drove up through the beautiful park (the trees here in the fall are amazing!!) and then saw the cozy Carriage House, we knew it was perfect. Patti, Michelle and team were great to work with throughout the planning process and such genuinely nice people! All the staff on the wedding day were fantastic too, always smiling and helpful.

If you're looking for a beautiful, cozy & rustic venue that will fit inside your budget, this is it!! The facilities here feel new and are extremely clean, not run down like most other "rustic" venues. The food and service was great and overall I would highly recommend the Rockwood Carriage House. Our wedding was a beautiful day and all was possible with the help of the Greenery Caterers. Thank you!

Almost all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, how great the food was, or about how great Michelle was coordinating it all. We chose the Carriage House because it was reasonably priced, but in the end it turned out to be a bargain for the excellent service we recieved (you would never have known we planned everything last minute!). And make sure you eat all of the food, it was delicious - even better than at the tasting!

We were married at Rockwood on October 13th, 2012. Greenery Caterers were amazing! We have recieved so many compliments on the food taste and presentation from many guests including those who are typically hard to please. In addition to the excellent food greenery caterers are also very good day of coordinators. The entire wedding from arrival through the reception went smoothly and we really felt like the greenery caterers know how to make the wedding a fun memorable event for us and for our guests.

The food and service was excellent. The were able to accommodate special meal requests.

My wedding day was by far the best day of my life. The Greenery Caterers and The Rockwood Carriage House were the perfect choice for my day. Michelle was amazing, she knew what I wanted even before I knew. I have heard nothing but rave reviews from my guests. Everyone enjoyed the food,location, DJ and atmosphere. The portions of food were large and hot. My own grandmother who has been to numerous weddings said she couldn't find one thing to complain about and that was shocking to her. I would recommend them to friends and family. Nothing but professionalism and fun!

We had our ceremony upstairs at the Carriage House at the Rockwood and our reception downstairs. We worked closely with the very helpful staff at the Greenery Caterers to set up the perfect menu. Everything was perfect and wouldn't have changed a thing! Craig, Michelle, Patti, and Margaret were all very knowledgeable and quick to address any and all concerns. We decided on a buffet-style dinner with chicken marsala and filet mignon as the main courses. I don't even like mushrooms yet the chicken marsala was so fantastic that selecting it was a no-brainer. We also chose a twice-baked potato which I highly recommend, a vegetable medley, and house salad, all of which were great. Two weeks later and our guests are still raving about how wonderful our wedding was and how delicious the food tasted. Everything was fantastic and the staff could not have been more helpful. Our wedding was on a Friday night. Usually we would have been able to spend a decent amount of time decorating on Thursday. Unfortunately, there was a high school reunion the evening before our wedding, but the manager, Michelle, was nice enough to let us come in for a little while once the reunion was over to begin setting up. The bartenders were great, our DJ thought highly of the sound quality, and our photographer said it was one of the best places he's shot because everything was so beautiful. We couldn't have asked for more and recommend working with Greenery Caterers and the Rockwood Museum to anyone.

Craig, Patti and their Staff did an excellent job at my daughter’s wedding held at the Bellvue Mansion in Wilmington this past September. It was a fairly large event with 225+ guests. The reception was done outdoors under two large tents supplied by Action. We also used parts of the Mansion for the reception and cocktail party, so this took a lot of coordination. Greenery did a great job, the food was delicious, the bar staff great. Overall we all have a wonderful time. Staff even helped clean up.

We truly had an amazing experience with Greenery Caterers and the venue at Rockwood Carriage House. The location has so much character and beauty, very little extra decor was necessary. The staff was amazing to work with and made the day flow with very little effort on our part. Between the food, the staff, and our guests, we have gotten several comments from guests saying that ours was one of the most fun, relaxed and beautiful weddings they had been too in a long time. The beautiful grounds were perfect for unique photo opportunities and lasting memories to come!

The venue itself is beautiful and perfect for the "rustic" but classy look we were going for. We invited 190 guests but had 170 attend and at first I was a little bit nervous about the spacing but 170 fit very comfortably and I can see how they can fit around 200. It was much more spacious than I thought. The staff is excellent and you can certainly tell that they are particular with who they hire. Everyone was so professional and friendly and it showed that they enjoyed their jobs which is hard to find in the hospitality industry. The food was delicious and we had many guests tell us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The buffet worked out great and everyone got through the line super quickly. Overall, we had no complaints whatsoever and thought that they did an amazing job in making our reception go seamlessly. We were so happy with everything and we would 100% recommend it to others. My wedding day could not have been any better due largely because of the fantastic crew at Greenery Caterers. Everything from start to finish was PERFECTION and every guest commented on how much they enjoyed the venue, food, and overall atmosphere the staff created. I, specifically, want to say how wonderful it was that everyone with whom I worked with from the Greenery Caterers was so helpful, flexible, and accomodating. As the sole organizer/planner, it made a world of difference for me to be able to be stress-free and truely relax and enjoy the entire day. A special note to Michelle who was there to address any questions/concerns and who made herself readily available for anything we or our guests needed. The day went so smoothly because of her hard work and several guests (including both sets of parents) spoke nothing but praise on how great it was to have her there as our "go-to girl". If you are looking for a wedding/event that you can really enjoy from soup to nuts~ the Greenery Caterers are it.

The Greenery folks were awesome in making our wedding at the Carriage House truly a fun, classy, smooth party! They handled everything from the planning, set-up of ceremony & reception and ensuring everything got shipped home perfectly. I truly dont know if we couldn't have had things go any smoother or easier. They are exceptionally flexible in how we could manage our ceremony/reception; and very helpful in counseling us on choices and ideas (their experience really shows!!). My wedding at Rockwood Park was on May 12, 2012. It was a perfect day!! My husband and I were married right in the walled garden at the Carriage House and the reception was also in the Carriage House. Everything was amazing! The food was awesome and every person I guest to was raving about their meal. We chose chicken kiev and the filet, served buffet style. The bar staff and other service staff were very attentive and pleasant the entire evening. The venue itself is gorgeous! We used the main room and the tented patio which were both beautiful and very spacious for out 140 guests. The rose garden made for wonderful decor during the ceremony (I ended up saving a lot on the ceremony flowers because of the scenery provided by the gardens) as well as the cocktail hour which we had split indoors and out. Michelle was our host and she did such a great job tending to my every need. She answered all of my questions, most of them before I even asked them. She was always available when I needed here whether it be by email, a phone call, or even a face to face meeting. Everything went perfectly and we are so glad we chose to get married at Rockwood Park!!!

My partner and I had our wedding at the Carriage House at Rockwood on May 5th. We could not have been happier with the service, quality and value we got from start to finish. They were extremely helpful during our planning, and especially the few days leading up to our wedding and reception. Michelle made sure that everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be, and every person we talked to said it was the best wedding they have been to, which we would not have been able to pull off without their help. My daughter’s wedding was in April of 2012. She was married in our church and the reception was at the Carriage House. She and her fiancé looked at several venues in our area, and were really attracted by the unique space and décor of the Carriage House. The venue was easy to decorate and looks beautiful with their new Chiavari chairs. They have glassed in the porch area and it too was beautiful. Our friends and family all commented on how good the food tasted, and loved the presentation. Craig’s food sculptures are amazing! As to the ease of working with Greenery Caterers, we had no problems at all. The night of the event was hosted by Michelle and she was wonderful. All of the wait staff was attentive and polite. We had a little difficulty communicating with Sweets to You by Ginger who did the cake, but it got worked out and the cake was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked. We loved everything about our reception at The Carriage House and thank everyone there!

The Greenery Caterers provided excellent catering services and a beautiful reception venue at the Carriage House. To quote one of our guests,"The Carriage House was enchanting/romantic, and the food was delicious." We have heard this same sentiment repeated by all of the guests we have seen since the wedding.

There are not enough words to describe how over the top experience with the Greenery Caterers. From start to finish they were very detailed and understood the vision that we wanted to create. Rockwood is so unique and we wanted our guests to have a different experience than a country club or hotel. The Greenery Caterers went out of their way to provide that. We had a four course sit down dinner with a wine pairing. They even provided a private tasting for us since we could not make the two group tastings due to being out of town. Both Patti and Craig were very responsive on emails and last minute add on's that we wanted to do. They were extremely patient and detailed oriented. When the day finally came their team was extremely professional and the service was outstanding!!! A guest of mine spilled red wine on my wedding dress and before I could even react one of their staff members was right next to me with club soda helping to get the stain off. Their Manager Michelle was my own personal lady in waiting. Any time I needed something she was right there. I cannot say enough about how the Greenery Caterers made my wedding unforgettable. So many of our guests commented on how outstanding the food, service and venue was. I would highly recommend them for any event and I am truly grateful for such an amazing wedding. We had a fantastic experience at the Carriage House from the first meeting to the day of our wedding! The venue itself is beautiful and was exactly what we were looking for - ceremony and reception space in one location with a rustic, charming atmosphere.
The Greenery Caterers staff was great to work with. Calls and emails were returned promptly, they were accommodating to our budget, and made helpful suggestions when we were unsure of what we wanted. The food was DELICIOUS and beautifully presented. Five months later, and I'm still hearing rave reviews from our guests. We've attended several weddings since, and no one else's food was as good as what we had at the Carriage House (and I know for a fact that some of these friends paid a lot more than what we did).
In short, we were thrilled with every aspect of our wedding at the Carriage House and would highly recommend it!

The only complaint I have regarding Greenery Caterers, is that sometimes it took a while for them to get back to me regarding decisions needing to be made. Beyond that, everything was perfect. Greenery went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding day. The food was amazing, we received many compliments on everything from the cocktail hour finger foods, to the buffet dinner. The service staff was everything we hoped they would be and more. So friendly and helpful to all our guests. Our guest were totally impressed and raving about not just the food, but the service, decor, and the staff. We have been asked a number of times for the contact information for Greenery. It was such a great day and Greenery had a major role in making it happen for us. We highly suggest working with Greenery. They met us on price and all other requirements we needed. Craig and Patti were wonderful to work with! They helped make our (sometimes nontraditional) requests a reality. The food was incredible! Not your typical wedding food. Our guests were so complimentary of the venue and the food.

We had our wedding at Rockwood in September and it was 100% perfect in every aspect. Michelle made sure everything on our day ran with ease- if anything happened in the back end, we had no idea since they ran a professional and smooth event! The staff were all great- everyone was polite and positive. The food was wonderful; we had lots of positive comments from our guests. Moreover, any concerns that I had going in, like the reception timeline were quicklly diminished as I realized how well the day was going. We recently had our wedding at Rockwood and we are so happy we had it here. The people are a delight to work with, Michelle (the manager) made sure everything on our special day went off without a hitch. The staff were all exceptional, the courtesy and politeness that everyone working there had is a testament to the quality of service at Rockwood. Leading up to the wedding there were a lot of questions and concerns we had, but everyone at Rockwood made the catering and venue the last thing we had to worry about, and we were so happy with how great of a job they did. We LOVED having the Carriage House as our venue. We had plenty of prep space and Melissa was on top of every detail we provided. The only suggestion I would have is put aside a small space to drop off/ pick up decorations a day before or after the event. Despite having to do all that the day of though, everything went great.

I want to thank both of you and your staff for doing such a wonderful job at Olivia and Steve’s wedding and reception. The staff were so attentive and friendly. I can’t find enough nice things to say about them. The night was such a whirlwind, I’m just sorry I didn’t get to know them all by name so I could personally express my thanks. The food was also delicious. I don’t know how you do it! I can’t tell you how many of our guests told us that it was, by far, the BEST food they have ever had at a reception! Everyone was impressed by both the appetizers (the bacon wrapped scallops were amazing!) and the entrees. No one went hungry. Again, I wish I hadn’t been hosting so I could have enjoyed the food all the more. You all made it so easy for us to be able to host and enjoy the whole evening. It ended much too soon!

Thank you so much for everything. You can be sure that if we ever have the need for a caterer in the future, we will be calling you. We will also be happy to recommend you to anyone looking for a caterer. where to begin?! We just got married on June 15, 2011. & from the start (over a year ago) Pattie and Craige have been wonderful!! every question was answered within 24 hours & we were able to go up to Rockwood anytime to meet with them &/or take a walkthrough. They even gave us an incredible discount, in order to work with our budget, because we were having a Wednesday wedding. The food was absolutely AMAZING!! all of our guests gave rave reviews!!! They took care of everything for me that day too! There's just no way I can stress how thankful I am to them for helping me to have such a perfectly wonderful day!!!!

We used the Greenery catering at a different location...the Delaware Museum of Natural History. They were amazing to work with, being flexible when we moved the ceremony indoors due to rain and therefore invading the coctail hour space! Patti and Craig (and their staff) were so friendly, warm, accomodating, and really put my mother at ease during the planning process! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning their wedding!

The perfect setting and staff to create a beautiful wedding.

The Rockwood Carriage house was beautiful on our wedding day. The lighting in the reception room was perfect for photos. The food and service provided by Greenery was fabulous. We did have some hiccups during the months leading up to the wedding in which they did not tell us when deposits were due etc. but once we got all of that straightened out every thing was smooth sailing. Our guests still talk about how good the food was (we did a sit down dinner and it worked out great!)

My daughter got married on the south lawn of the mansion at Rockwood Park. We had the reception at Rockwood Carriage House, catered by the Greenery. We had a wonderful cocktail hour with absolutely perfect appetizers and beverages. We chose a sit down dinner which was served impeccably. The food was delicious. We highly recommend the venue, service, responsiveness (Patti and Craig are amazing) and food!

We were very pleased with the Greenery Caterers and the Carriage House. The Carriage House is a beautiful setting for a wedding and the caterers have fantastic food. Although we were hoping to have an outdoor ceremony in the gardens, the weather wasn't cooperating so we had the ceremony inside which is just as beautiful with the stone walls and wood. Patti and Craig at Greenery Caterers are easy to work with, replying quickly to emails and phone calls. They have a lot of experience and we put a lot of trust into them and were not disappointed. We highly recommend the Carriage House and Greenery Caterers.

When we went to the Carriage House to see the venue, we immediately fell in love with the place. We got married on a Friday, which had a nice rental discount. We had a set budget going into the meeting, and they worked with us to design a meal and plan that worked for us. They were very personal and helped us with all of our questions.
We had a perfect day, and the Greenery Caterers were a huge part of making it so nice.

If there is anything my family remembers about a wedding- its the food. We loved the creativity. We had a burger bar- who does that? We did and loved it. It was a hit with everyone! He is easy to work with and knows Delaware reception site like nobody's business. FANTASTIC!

We loved having our wedding at rockwood! It was everything we were looking for in a venue. Our only comment is more of a suggestion, we felt that the reception could have been longer. While we understand that weddings tend to fly by we also felt that we were crunched for time.

My husband and I were married this past June in the walled garden at Rockwood and had our reception in the renovated carriage house. The venue is beautiful, both the garden and the carriage house are a nice change from the usual "wedding factories". The walls in the carriage house are stone and the floor was a beautiful brick, there are a number of windows that let in a lot of natural light. The place blends old world style (the stone, brick, carriage doors) with a new industrial style (modern stair case, lighting). I know that sounds like a strange mix but it really is beautiful. The food was delicious, people are still commenting on how good it was. I hear most brides and grooms don't eat much at their weddings because they don't have time, but we made the time! The team was professional and easy to work with. I hope some of my friends and family marry there so we can go back!

Craig and Patti are incredible. We new we had to have a unique venue and amazing food for our small wedding (we had 60 guests), and Craig and Patti took care of both at The Carriage House. They were so great to work with.. each meeting was like meeting with friends we have known our whole life. Every time I panicked and sent Patti a frazzled email, she either called or emailed right away and immediately put me at ease. ALL of our guests are still raving about the food (not just their entrees-they LOVED the hors d'oeuvres too!). The staff was wonderful as well. If you are planning a wedding you want people to remember forever, go with Greenery Caterers. The food, the people and the venue are the most unforgettable you will find.

My husband and I were looking for a unique place for our wedding reception and were more then pleased when we came across Rockwood Carriage House. The grounds were the perfect backdrop for our photos. Guests enjoyed the cocktail hour that flowed out into the gardens. The reception for over 150 was beautiful and ran smoothly. Patti and Craig worked to meet our needs and our budget, making sure to accommodate special requests. They were very responsive to email and phone calls to go over last minute details and provided us the ability to preview items. Our guests absolutely loved the food and still comment on it over a year later. Overall, I could not have asked for a better reception. The Greenery Caterers and the Rockwood Carriage House were the perfect combination for our fairytale wedding.

Our experience with The Greenery was exceptional. Craig, Patti, and their staff are extremely professional and talented, and they really listened to what we were asking for. In addition to the delicious and beautiful food (which our guests raved about), they facilitated our rental of the ceremony and reception space at Rockwood Park and made it a perfect day down to the very last detail. We couldn't have done it without them!

The Greenery Caterers has done a fine job on many wedding receptions here at the Delaware Museum of Natural History. Their hand-carved vegetables and fruits make an excellent presentation for their fresh and delicious foods.
