I really have nothing bad to say about RD. The venue is amazing especially since I was not looking for a typical ballroom. I dealt with Heather up until the day of my wedding. She was always polite and responsive even when I asked many questions : ) On the day of the wedding our Maitre D was Mary Jo---one word AMAZING! She was wonderful. She always ensured that the bridal party was taken care of and she coordinated everything for the day. The staff at RD are also very genuinely friendly and many of my guests commented on this. Overall, we were pleased.

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Running Deer. Everything was picture perfect! Running Deer was extremely professional and helped us in every step alongthe way. My guests raved about the venue, the service and the overall experience and there were no lack of "best wedding Ive been to" comments! My husband and I could not have picked a better venue. The staff was great to us, Heather helped in every step of planning and when the day came Mary Jo was there to make sure everything went smoothly. I could not be happier with my choice and would reccomend them to everyone!

Awesome, awesome, awesome across the board! Our wedding was this past weekend (10-22-11) and we have not stopped receiving calls and emails about how nice and fun our wedding was. Heather was the best and always responded quickly. Mary Jo was with us every step of our wedding night making sure we had cocktails and food. We had some tough people to please at our wedding, and they were the ones raving the most. Food was great! Grounds and pergola looked beautiful. Hands down, perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were awesome!!! So flexible, catered to your every need!! Heather is the best she does all the worrying for you !!!

Running Deer was absolutely wonderful for my wedding and I would definitely recommend Running Deer to any bride! We had our ceremony at the outdoor pergola, with the reception inside. The food was great, and Heather and Mary Jo were super helpful! I honestly had no idea what I was doing (I've never been married before! lol!) , but Heather answered any and all of my questions about even the smallest details. I had made most of the decorations for the guest tables and the outside pergola so I wasn't sure how everything would look since it wasn't professionally done, but Heather made it look better than I had imagined! Everything was perfect, and I honestly couldn't be any happier about my wedding at Running Deer!!

Running Deer was FANTASTIC!!! Mary Jo and Heather made sure that everything was perfect!!! They were very attentive to my husband and I and also our parents!! They made everything run smoothly and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding!! It was the hottest day of the year for our wedding, but Heather made sure all of our guest were accommodated and they quickly revised Cocktail Hour to suit everyone! Thanks again for the most amazing day of our lives!!

We could not have had a more perfect experience. From the first time seeing the place and booking the wedding to the wedding day itself, everyone at the Running Deer was wonderful. They were helpful and kind and very accommodating. The actual wedding day was more than wonderful. The staff was wonderful, I as the bride did not want for anything!! Everything went so smooth, I could not believe it was my wedding day. The setting could not have any better. Our picture look amazing on the course!! I have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. I use Savannah's Garden as the florist and Tristate Professionals as the DJ, both are suggested vendors. I had a family member as our photographer, check out slemak.com for some pics (in the blog section). Overall, I am so happy that we chose Running Deer as our venue. If I had it to do all over again, I would not change a thing!! I cannot thank the staff there enough for taking care me and my husband and our bridal party.

Running Deer exceeded all my expectations! Not only were they helpful throughout the planning process, but they helped make our wedding day perfect. I had a lot of personal details which were setup and executed flawlessly. The maitre'd was by my side whenever I needed her, but was never in the way. All our guests were impressed with the level of service provided by the waitstaff throughout the night as well. Not only was the service fabulous, but the food tasted amazing. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it all. Overall, my husband and I had a perfect day and there is no doubt in my mind that Running Deer and all its staff helped make it that way. I would recommend this location to any bride who wants to have a classy wedding with great views and exceptional service.

I honestly cannot say enough how appreciative I am for everything Running Deer did for our wedding. They were so accommodating to our special requests. I am still hearing about The Chocolate Indulgence Room and The food! The staff was amazing and I don't know what I would have done without Heather or Mary Jo!! <3 LOVE Running Deer and I cant wait to have my baby shower there since now I am expecting! Yah!! =D

Running Deer is a beautiful place to have a reception. My husband and I were amazed from beginning to end! I never would have thought I was going to have so much fun in such a beautiful place! The room was set up perfectly for our 172 guests. It was functionable and wowwed so many of our friends and family. The Chocolate room...was the literally the icing on the cake! My Italian family was in Heaven with the chocolate fountain and all the extra mini pastries! It was a wonderful and memorable experience that I will cherish forever! Thank you Running Deer and a special Thanks to Heather for making our day even more special!!

It was the best day, it was supposed to rain and the ceremony was planned for outside, but they waited to see if it would clear up and thankfully it did. I have received nothing but compliments about the location, food, and staff. The food was amazing and all the staff professional and polite. Mary Joe helped me so much with getting things ready and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. Heather is great too and has a wonderful staff backing her up for events. I would have any event possible there, I am expecting my first child soon and hope my family thinks of there to have the shower.

WE ARE STILL GETTING WONDERFUL RESPONSES FROM THE EVENT. WE APPRECIATE THE PERSONAL SERVER. SHE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE TO ALL OUR NEEDS. I DO WISH THAT I COULD HAVE SERVE MYSELF WHEN IT CAME TO OUR DINNER AND GOT WHAT I WANTED TO EAT.

I couldn't have dreamed of a more beautiful venue for our wedding day. The facility was extremely modern, fresh, and open with a lot of natural light shining through...absolutely gorgeous. When we went on a hunt for our idea wedding venue, Heather McCall was extremely prompt with providing us with the menu info/options and setting up an appointment for us to visit. As soon as we walked in, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. The website for the facility has coupons available at times - so when we booked the location, our ceremony was included. Running Deer works with great vendors in general as well. Our cake was made by The Sweet Life Bakery which I may add, was not an extra cost for us because it was already included in the affordable wedding package we chose. All we had to do was go the bakery and chose what we wanted...Running Deer took care of the rest. They have a beautiful chocolate room which is included as well... other facilities tend to make something so awesome an extra charge, but here it was not...The staff (Heather, Tara, and Mary-Jo =who assisted me the entire day, etc..) are just fabulous and accomodating individuals all around. We were so lucky we got to work with them and our wedding day was more than perfect.

I haven't even touched the surface though since the facility has so many wonderful attributes...!

Heather and Tara at Running Deer were amazing to work with! Their emails were always responded to in a timely matter (by the end of the day). The food was absolutely amazing, the greens were perfect for pictures, the outdoor patio was so warm and homey for our cocktail hour! My husband and I didn't want to spend a fortune on our wedding reception, but we didn't want to go 'skimpy' on our wedding day and Running Deer was our perfect match!

Everyone we dealt with at Running Deer was amazing from the very first day we walked through the doors. It was the first and only place we went to see and we made our decision on the spot. I couldn't have asked for a better place. The people were great and worked with me through any questions or ideas I had. Our wedding day went smooth greatly in part because of the staff. We got everything for a great price; the food was amazing everything from the hors devours to the main course to the dessert. Heather and Running Deer Golf Club were amazing! Everything that we asked for they did without hesitation. My wedding ceremony and reception were perfect, I wouldn't have changed anything!

Chad and I want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our wedding was amazing thanks to you and your staff. I couldn't believe that what I had pictured in my head became a reality. Every one of our guest was speechless, everything was beautiful and fun at the same time. Not a single person had a complaint, everyone enjoyed themself 110%. After two years of planning and getting everything together I can not believe it is over already. The day and night was amazing. I am the kind of person that has everything organized and is always in control of setting things up. So when I brought everything to you that day with everything numbered, I was nervous. The morning of the wedding I kept thinking I wonder if they are going to set up the table how I have imagined it or will it look over crowded....All I have to say is it looked 10 times better in person then what it did in my head. When I arrived all of my nerves went out the window everything looked stunning. I was amazed. Chad and I talked about it all evening long, that we couldn't have asked for anything more, everything was perfect. I have to say that Mary Joe was awesome, loved her, she was there everytime I needed her. Tara was on the ball too, she did everything we asked, just perfect. The food and services were terrific. We love, love the Chocolate Room, our taste buds were going crazy. Thank you everyone that was there that night to share our wonderful day, because with out you our day wouldn't have been as perfect or wonderful.

Running Deer did a great job for our reception. The food was great, the staff was amazing, and the venue is beautiful. All night I was getting compliments from my guests at how great the venue was. My guests loved the Chocolate Room, and said it was one of the best dessert spreads they have ever seen at a wedding. I'm so glad we decided to go with Running Deer, they really helped make our wedding day extra great!

Running Deer Golf Club was amazing! I am the type of bride who didn't want a big fuss over my wedding, and I didn't want to spend a lot of time planning every little detail. Heather and the staff made everything extremely easy. The venue is beautiful all on its own and the food was AMAZING. I felt the price was reasonable for everything that you got. You get your own bridal suite all day. The Maitre'D was everywhere, and she couldn't have done more for us. Thank you all...it was truly the best experience...it was like a dream!

Running Deer Golf Club was a wonderful venue for our outdoor wedding. We were pleasantly surprised that we did not even see a single golfer the day of our ceremony! The food was delicious and plentiful and we got many compliments on it. Heather McCall was wonderfully flexible as we worked through each detail together. She can make anything happen! One small thing we wished we'd spoken about in more detail is the expectation for the bridal party to be served drinks during the meal. I wouldn't even have gotten to taste our own wedding punch if I hadn't flagged someone down.

When asking questions, make sure your answers are put into writing such as: moving the cocktail party in certain weather conditions, quality of the liquor, who will be waited on during the reception (bride and groom, parents of the bride and groom) Ask if the food is prepared on site?

The Running Deer is beautiful! It's very different from all the other reception sites in the area. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The cocktail hour food was very good, as well as dinner. Everyone loved the chocolate room (I never even made it in there!) My ceremony was supposed to be outside, but it rained at the last minute. The staff did a great job of making everything happen quickly. Some guests didn't even know it was supposed to be outdoors. After cocktail hour, they did forget to change a few things such as moving the bar so that everyone didnt congregate in there, but oh well. I even forgot until the next day..Everything went smooth and it was a gorgeous reception. The maitre d did a great job of dealing with me and my bridal party all afternoon!!

Everything was perfect! Heather handled my large and at times rowdy bridal party with poise and professionalism.

I was married and had my brunch at the golf club. It was a worry free day and everything went according to plan.

I thought Heather did a good job getting back to me with all the emails I sent her. I was a little disappointed come the rehearsal and the wedding though when I hardly saw her or Tara. I felt like I was pretty much left there to figure things out on my own. No one told us when guests had started arriving so we could have ushers help seat, or even to know that it was time to line up! The place looked wonderful and the food was great, what I had time to taste, so I was happy with that. Our biggest issue was theft from the bridal suite and men's locker room. I know this isn't something that they can help because it's also a public place, but I felt like the bridal area should have been better secure and that the groomsmen should have been given lockers or a separate place to put their belongings.

Running deer is one of our Favorite venues to do weddings at!!

Great people to deal with, very helpful. Very nice venue to have your affair at, they have a greast outdoor area as well as indoor to get married then a great room for a reception...and of course there is the chocolate room!!!

The staff at Running Deer always provide an outstanding event for you and your guests! Every time we're there the event has a nice flow and they make sure your every desire is met The desert room is always a hit as well.

Heather is the best and will treat you right! We've heard nothing but great comments back from our brides that have chosen Running Deer, and we have a great professional relationship with them as well. They even let us use their kitchen during our bakery renovations, which was an incredibly generous act from the whole crew. Very beautiful facilities here, I'm still in awe every time I drop a cake off at how pretty it is inside... I highly recommend Running Deer.
