Roswell Founders Hall
I can't think of anything bad to say about Founders Hall or anyone who works there. Every need and desire we had was met and exceeded, and our reception went off without a hitch. It's an incredibly beautiful venue, and we were able to secure the entire day for an extra fee, which was very helpful as my wedding was at an awkward time of the day. They worked well with all my other vendors and everyone had a great time! Having staff at your venue you know you can depend on is one of the most important aspects of a good reception...never once was I concerned about my reception because I trusted Founders so much--your day is about NOT stressing about the details. Please let someone else like the staff at Founders do that for you!
Seriously. Tami is worth her weight it gold! Everything was perfect and just as I would hoped it would be. Do the package...it takes so much of the stress away.
Founders Hall was absolutely the perfect place for my wedding reception! The house is absolutely beautiful, the space has such a wonderful feel to it and flow for all the guests, and the food was spectacular (I had SO many people tell me the food was the best wedding food they had ever had!) What really set it apart though was Tammi and how absolutely amazing she was. Throughout the entire process she (and Emily!) were so helpful giving suggestions, answering my questions, and made the entire process so much easier. The day of the wedding though was really when she turned into an absolute superhero. She made me comfortable, made everything run so smoothly, took care of issues before they started...she absolutely made it the wedding of my dreams. I had no worries or concerns that day and was free to enjoy everything, something I haven't heard from a lot of other brides! I could not have picked a better place with better people, and I wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone.
We had the wedding of our dreams and it wouldn't have been possible without you guys. Tami and Emily are AMAZING. We had a lot of things that we did ourselves and they were right there with us helping get everything in place. Even when we changed a couple things last minute they had a great handle on things. Everything was FLAWLESS and I can't recommend this place more. Loved it. Thank you so much!!!!!!
The was an incredible venue for our ring ceremony and reception. We chose not to have alcohol at our wedding and the staff helped come up with some great beverage options. We had a hot cider when guest came up from the patio to the main part of the house for the reception. Then, we had sodas and juices during the dinner and a special sparkling cider drink with pears for the toasts. Later in the evening we opened a hot chocolate bar with tons of toppers and treats to mix in. It was all so fun and guests were so excited to have all these different options.
The staff was so friendly and fun to work with. I thought everything was beautiful and they worked so well with all of our other vendors.
I signed on for the package and I thought it was going to cover more than it actually did. I wonder if my wedding would have been less expensive if I had not gone with the all-inclusive package. However, I was an out of town bride and I was looking for a place where they would handle most of the stress and logistics instead of having to deal with that myself. I had a wedding planner as well and that may have been enough without getting the all-inclusive package.
The vendor list that they gave me was wonderful. I was completely happy with every vendor except for the cake lady. We also ended up finding another DJ because the one of the vendor list was extremely cheesy and not right for my wedding. I hope they have added the other DJ from Black Tie Events to their vendor list.
I loved working with them and would recommend this vendor to...
Beautilf venue with excelent staff! We loves thier wedding packages too! They are very busy though so book your date well in advance.
We had our ceremony and reception at Founders Hall in October 2011, and we couldn't have asked for a better day! We went with their all inclusive package, which made planning and payments much easier, and all of the vendors we worked with were great. The only non-package vendors we used were for photography and videography. Tami and her team were so easy to work with, and she was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions during the planning process. There was no need to hire a day-of coordinator because they made everything run smoothly and set up all the little decorations and details I had brought perfectly. The day was so much less stressful than I was anticipating! The venue is beautiful, both the hall and the ceremony space out back, and not having to worry about anything on our wedding day allowed us to just relax and have fun. We received so many compliments from our guests about Founders Hall, the vendors, and the location (historic Roswell), and we would definitely recommend them to others!
While searching for a wedding venue, our goal was to find a location where we could hold both the ceremony and reception. We had many family members coming from out of town and we were hoping to relieve them of the stress of driving in unfamiliar Atlanta traffic. Roswell Founders Hall was the site that provided a large space for both the ceremony and reception. Additionally, Tami made us feel like our each-and-every need would be taken care of. We visited Roswell Founders Hall several times over the year prior to the event to make decisions regarding the decorations, tent, and other details. The staff even invited us to look at other couples’ decorations – however, we noticed on one visit that they were walking us (including my parents) through the venue while the bride and groom were taking pictures and the family and bridal party were relaxing inside. While it was nice to see the venue all decorated, it was VERY uncomfortable intruding on someone else’s big day (we thought the timing of the visit was odd and assumed there was no way they would take us through the house while another couple was there preparing for the ceremony!).
Leading up to the wedding, Tami met with us to go over the details of the big day. We left these meetings feeling comfortable, as Tami went over each and every detail with us. Unfortunately, we realized during the reception that some of the details that we discussed were different than what we expected. For example, we have family members affected by both Alzheimer’s Disease and cancer, so we donated to two organizations and provided wristbands in a basket that were to be placed by the front door. However, they were put on top of the bar. Besides the fact that Alzheimer’s and Cancer Awareness Bracelets might not be appropriate next to a stockpile of wine and beer, many of our guests don’t drink and never made a trip to the bar. After the fact, we found out that many of our family members and guests had no idea that the wristbands were there. Keeping in line with the friends and family that don’t drink alcohol, we provided frozen wine drinks to help people cope with the hot Georgia June weather. We rented a frozen wine drink machine (had to go through Tami for this, as she would not let us bring in our own) – one side of the machine was to include wine and one was supposed to be non-alcoholic – this was a very important stipulation. When one of the bridesmaids asked for the non-alcoholic version, the bartender informed her that there was no non-alcoholic version. We found out about this, and they had to dump out one of the frozen drink machine tubs and start over.
Quite a few members of our bridal party complained that Tami was treating them like children. We did work some with Emily and thought she was little more personable and down-to-earth.
Another detail that seemed to go unnoticed was that the Roswell Founders Hall staff was supposed to bring the flowers that we used for the ceremony inside for the reception. As our guests were entering the reception hall, my mom noticed that the flowers that were supposed to be on the buffet table and various predetermined areas in the room were still outside. When my sister asked Tami why, she said they were still outside because we were taking pictures, but the pictures had been completed at least 30 minutes ago by that point. Overall, Tami’s promise to transform the reception space by utilizing the flowers from the ceremony was never fully fulfilled.
All of this being said, even though many of the details that we discussed were not performed, both the ceremony and reception looked great. Nobody can dispute the elegance of Roswell Founders Hall. All of our guests (and ourselves) loved the venue (of course, no wedding guest is ever aware of all of the things that go wrong) and the entire event. You have to use Talk of the Town catering while at Roswell Founders Hall, and the staff during the event was extremely professional and VERY courteous (the weather was threatening storms and one of the servers told me that she was praying the whole time for no rain – it worked!). I could not have been more pleased with the serving staff. After the ceremony, one of our favorite details was a private room for the bride and groom to have dinner ourselves. And although the details of the decorations were not what we discussed in all cases, and although Tami spoke to some of our bridal party in a somewhat condescending manner at times, she kept the event largely on schedule. After everything is said and done, I would recommend using Roswell Founders Hall, but you may want to get a wedding coordinator to make sure the details that were agreed upon are actually followed through. We were under the impression that the venue may book so many events that it is hard to keep track of each event’s details and a separate coordinator might help with that.
Roswell Founders Hall helped to make my wedding a dream come true. I felt like Cinderella and had no stress the day of the wedding. If my husband and I had to do it again we would do it all over again at Roswell Founders Hall. The package they offer is worth the money and makes things very easy and very hassle free. Tami was very helpful and guided us every step of the way. Thank you making our day amazing!
Tami is a wonderful coordinator and she is the best part of Founders Hall. Also the venue is beautiful. However the owners suck. They make you use their catering Talk of The Town which Georgina is very unprofessional. They also add in incredible amount of nonsense. For example our food costs alone was 1048 dollars, by they time they finish adding in all the other garbage it turned out to be 3074 dollars. I had to have two chefs to plate the food, 4 servers etc etc. Not to mention for the bar cost they wanted to charge people under the age of 21 for the bar. Their comment well a lot of people don't use us because they can't afford it. In other words the more money spent the better the service would be. Yeah right!
This venue is truly a southern gem. We loved having our reception here and loved that the food and wine was all part of the package. It made things so much simpler to have less vendors involved. Georgina was very helpful! They are also owned by the same people who own the Wolf Mountain Vineyards so the wine comes from there. It was delicious and very affordable. The space was perfect and we have many wonderful memories there. Another nice touch was that they have the bride and groom come into a private room with a romantic table where you can dine together for the first time uninterrupted. We loved that part. It added some serenity to such a busy and momentous day.
