Chef Zach is a true gem! We were lucky enough to meet with him as he was setting up to open his Gourmet Market. Timing played out perfectly and we decided to have a very small wedding. Chef Zach allowed us to use his beautiful space for the reception and executed everything PERFECTLY! I walked through the doors and saw my vision set and exactly the way I pictured everything! The food was to die for and he was excellent at helping us get the best value for our money.\r\n\r\nThere is no way I could thank Chef Zach and the staff at Roundz enough. Zach and Roundz catering were also amazing. You'll see from the other reviews that we got very lucky with our vendors. For people looking into caterers you may not realize how much work they actually have to do. Zach was referred to us through a friend and was the ONLY caterer that actually started off by asking us what we liked. What a breakthrough concept! Zach put together an amazing shrimp and scallop ceviche and catered the menu to what we would enjoy for a summer wedding. His pricing is fair and the customizable approach he has to his clients is great. I would recommend Roundz to anyone.

If you would like to speak to a Chef and have your tastes, ideas, and budget SERIOUSLY taken into account, Zachary Pope is the one. From the moment you walk into Roundz you feel welcome and appreciated. Chef Pope takes his time explaining what he has done,what he can do, and will do for your special day. Simplicity is key, flavour is abundant. Have the mini-prime rib sandwiches during cocktail hour, our friends and relatives still talk about them! Vegetarians, no problem. Children, no problem(I recommend the chicken fingers.) Professional staff, simple yet elegant table settings, I can go on and on, but you really should stop in and meet the man behind Roundz. You won't be disappointed.

We loved this caterer! Chef Zachary Pope was awesome, the food was fabulous, the servers were very professional and all within our budget. Several people asked how much the wedding cost...We spent $11,000 total on everything, but it looked like a way more expensive wedding than that! The food looked (laid out like a Royal wedding=) and tasted like it was very expensive. If we had to do it over again...would definitely use Roundz again, very impressed from start to finish!

Wow! Chef Pope was awesome! When I originally emailed him about meeting, he called me back in less than 12 hours. My husband and I went in that evening and after trying the food, knew that we wanted to go with Roundz. Chef Pope really listened to what we were looking for and delivered. We received so many compliments about the food and enjoyed the goodie bag he sent home with us since we both didn't get to eat much at the wedding. His staff worked very hard to make sure everything was clean and presentable from polishing silverware to checking for fingerprints on glasses before the guests arrived. We could not have been happier with the service Roundz provided.

Our guests were raving that the food was the best they have tasted at weddings. Chef Pope was very easy to work with, when we first contacted him, he would first talked to you about what you like to eat and then he designed and tailored a menu within your budget. At tasting, we were also able to get a taste of almost all the dishes on the menu. I had one other tasting at another caterer and I knew immediately Roundz is the one!!! Chef also have good suggestions on drinks and alcohol arrangement which saved us a lot of money! Our guests were very happy with the food and so were we!

First off, I have to thank Zach for helping us stay within our budget and still providing such tasty food and desserts! Our guests loved everything from the salmon to the gazpacho shooters! Xach's food presentation is very creative and fun, and the quality of his linens and dishware was good as well. We did have a few issues with Roundz, and judging by the prior positive reviews I think this may be a result of Zach being preoccupied by the opening of his new gourmet market in the weeks leading up to our wedding. He wasn't as responsive further along the process as he had been when we first contracted with him (failure to return calls, delays in replying to emails, a bit of prodding necessary). Also the estimates we were given by Zach and his liquor partner for the amount of alcohol we needed to order for the event fell very short of what was needed -- early on in the evening (about 2 hours into the reception), we were out of vodka, whiskey, gin AND rum and all that was left of the hard liquor was tequila. Still, Zach was very accommodating with some of our requests such as allowing us to have a late night pirogi bar set up in warmers and he agreed to keep staff a little later in the evening when we requested to extend our reception by a half hour. He was very nice and personable to work with, and we had a lovely reception with his help.

Simply the BEST!!! Chef Zach P. and his staff at Roundz did an absolute wonderful job at our recent wedding. Choosing a caterer is not to be taken lightly and we tested many. Zach was the first one to truly listen to our needs as far as budget and food, and came up with an awesome menu that was reasonable. He is very easy to talk to and a very professional yet really cool guy. He was there every step of the way to answer any silly little question we had. The food and service at the wedding could not have been better. I have had many compliments since the wedding, and my Uncle even said it was the best wedding food he has ever had! You have to get the Dauphinoise Potato's, they are to die for. And if you don't believe me, go and try them for yourself at Roundz Gourmet Market in Crofton, MD. Once you taste his food, you will be a believer as well. I know that my husband and I will be visiting the market often to see Zach and enjoy delicious food.

Everything went smoothly with our wedding. Although Zach wasn't at our wedding, his staff was excellent and more than happy to help.

We set up our reception area the day before our wedding and they brought the tables and linens we were renting. It was great to see the room mostly together before the wedding reception. They arrived right on time and were out of the space quickly.

What really sold me on Roundz was that we could provide our own beer, wine and liquor. A bar can be an expensive piece of the wedding pie and we saved a lot by providing our own. A member of their staff was a bartender

I was a stickler on our tight budget and Roundz definitely fit. Even with rentals we were a tad over but it was worth it. We chose 1 entree and buffet style. We even had a cocktail hour with crab dib, fruit and shrimp. It was well worth the extra spending.

I really didn't have anything to worry about when it came to the food. I was able to sit back and enjoy our day.

Roundz was able to offer me hands down the best value for my dollar anywhere in the DC area. I got excellent food my guests raved about, a bartender my guests enjoyed so much he was actually in photobooth pictures, and stress free setup and cleanup in an independent venue.

Chef Zach spent a long time going over the menu with me until we got it exactly right, and I really appreciated the personal attention. He was also able to handle last minute additions promptly and seamlessly. We served signature cocktails made with one of his signature fruit lemonades, and the guests enjoyed them so much they were gone within an hour of cocktail hour beginning.

I could never have afforded the excellent meal I was able to serve my guests if I hadn't found Roundz. Chef Zach was easy to work with, friendly, personable, and serves great food. I highly reccommend the potatoes dauphinoise with gruyere cheese!

We had tastings with four different caterers - Roundz was our final tasting and we knew immediately when we met with Chef Pope that we had found our caterer. Zach's relaxed, personable demeanor made us feel comfortable and at ease. And the food looked modern and tasted delicious - which was all the more exceptional when we got his quote. He presented several menu options to choose from and didn't hesitate when we asked for four special vegan plates for guests with dietary needs. He was willing to work with every request. Leading up to the wedding day, Zach was in touch when needed, updated our quote based on our multiple changes, and even seemed to take control when we realized our venue owner could be a challenge to work with. He promised we wouldn't see any problems on the big day, and he delivered. The food looked and tasted like we spent twice what we did. Our guests raved about the presentation, the food, and the service. His staff even congratulated me and asked if everything was acceptable a few times when I ran into them during the reception - as did Zach. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to enjoy all the food. But Zach made sure we had two plates waiting for us as our guests were starting to be served and set aside two take-away boxes so we didn't miss the hors d'oeuvres. Roundz made our reception perfect. Chef Pope over-delivered on everything, at an unbeatable price (with no hidden costs), and we're happy to highly recommend his catering company. It will be the easiest part of planning your wedding.

We were very happy with Roundz throughout the whole process of planning food for our wedding. On my initial phone call to Roundz , I spoke with the owner Zach and his excitement for food was clearly evident as he gave a variety of suggestions and ideas for the menu. At the tasting , my husband, wedding planner and I were very impressed with Zach's presentation and the food was amazing. As we continued with the other tastings we previously scheduled, we could not help but to think about the food Zach served for us. Zach was also very flexible allowing us to make tweaks to our menu and add additional appetizers up to 10 days prior to our big day. We were also able to buy our own alcohol for his staff to serve without incurring an additional fee. His staff was very professional. We were able to give a member of his staff one of my bridesmaids keys to load her car with left over food and alcohol. Roundz provided creative options, professional staff, delicious food at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them for any event.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Roundz is. Zach and his team were amazing from beginning to end. It was truly a pleasure to work with him and his team. Zach was completely committed to making our wedding dinner just what we wanted it to be. His food is amazing, and he made it clear from the first tasting that he wanted to tailor everything to our tastes. Yet somehow he was able to work within our limited budget.

On the day of the wedding everyone raved about the food and the service that Roundz provided. Not only was the food delicious, it was presented beautifully. And the staff were friendly and accommodating. Roundz was hands down our best vendor. They made everything run smoothly. They were competent and professional, both with us and with the other vendors. The way they helped coordinate our reception lowered our stress level enormously. They made all our guests happy, and we're still receiving compliments on the fabulous food.

Chef Pope and Roundz are amazing! From the moment I spoke to Chef Pope, I knew they were the only catering company for us! From our initial phone calls, to estimates, tasting, finalizing the details and the actual wedding reception, Chef Pope was unbelievably professional, responsive and flexible with what my husband and I wanted. Our food was superb, and we heard from all of our guests how great everything was and how much they loved it. The staff was very professional, polite, quick and they kept everything moving perfectly, from food to drinks to clearing tables. The passion fruit lemonade he made as our signature drink was delicious! Roundz made it easy to rent all of the linens, plates, flatware, etc at a really great price. I will certainly recommend them to everyone and I can't wait to visit the Roundz gourmet market that is opening in Crofton. Thank you again to Roundz for making our wedding reception wonderful!

Where do I begin? Our wedding day was the best day of our lives; and while I can attribute much of that to my friends and family and to my wonderful husband, I would be remiss if I did not give credit to the team who put me at ease, made my guests happy, and went above and beyond to make the day special. Not only did Rounfz provide the most delicious food (I couldn't get enough of the beef sliders and the squash, and the shrimp, etc, etc, etc!), they presented it beautifully, and managed the event with true professionalism and class. I am so impressed! I knew they would be good, I just didn't know that they would be so attentive from the finest detail of service to basic help with conducting the night. Zach made sure that I had everything I needed, helped coordinate the schedule before the event and during the night, and worked to incorporate unique creativity into the dishes. It was my imagination and Zach's vision, come to life!

Throughout the night and in the day following the wedding, everyone was talking about Roundz and how great the food was. And my family just kept saying that the event could not have been such a success if we had gone with any other caterer. In speaking with other potential caterers, I felt suffocated with people who didn't listen, who were only interested in their business, and left me feeling pressured into making choices I didn't want, uncomfortable with their insensitivity and questioning their capability to create a meaningful day. From the moment I spoke with Zach I knew I was in good hands. It was last minute, in terms of the typical wedding planning schedule, but he assured me that Roundz would come through and not to worry about a thing.

I truly believe Zach and his team are one of a kind. We talked about my ideas and he provided thoughtful and exciting recommendations to supplement or augment the selections, and he offered professional experience and culinary knowledge rather than forcing plans or ideas on me (this was a refreshing difference from what I had previously experienced!). On the wedding day, while I had full confidence in Roundz, Zach made sure to stay in touch with me before and after the ceremony and intermittently throughout the night, without interrupting or being obtrusive in the slightest. He has tact and impeccable timing! When I heard that Zach asked Josh what my dad's favorite beer is to give it to him from Josh, I was touched. It truly was the perfect way to begin the reception and, knowing my dad, no better way for Josh to enter into the family. When our guests got a bit, well, rowdy and doused the dance floor with champagne, it was the Roundz team who came to the rescue without missing a beat. I later found out that our DJ was concerned about the electrical wiring being in contact with liquids, but the team's quick action prevented any mishap. In the meantime we experienced some unfortunate problems with our site coordinator, and I mention this is because it makes me again realize the stark difference between an ordinary event vendor and an event caretaker, like Roundz. It highlights how Zach and his team selflessly, painstakingly, and SEAMLESSLY work to make each wedding day, the best, worry-free, PERFECT day for every bride. Roundz is a different caliber of caterer - and after my wedding, while I have only had the one, I truly believe that Rounds is the best in the business, the gifted and talented, the top one percent. Your customers are very lucky to have you and I'm sure they all know it. I am so glad I held out and frustrated the heck out of my other potential caterers -- they just didn't feel right. I can't imagine going with anyone one else. And my instincts were right on. But I won't take any credit. You and all the contributors to Roundz Catering are truly a magnificent team. I just can't say it enough - thank you, thank you, thank you!

I really enjoyed working with Chef Pope of Roundz Catering. He is a true delight and a pro; he was very responsive to my emails from the first request for a proposal to the tasting to the reception. He accommodated my desire for a tapas-style reception with passed "little plates" as opposed to a sit-down dinner and the guests appeared to really enjoy the food. His servers were terrific and extremely professional; the set-up was beautiful and contemporary, which was what I wanted, and the excellent customer service continued after the reception when, as we were leaving, Chef Pope sent us back to our hotel suite with food since we'd barely had a chance to enjoy his cooking during the reception... we were very surprised and pleased by this personal touch. Roundz Catering is highly recommended.

As many are quickly finding out, Zach and Roundz Catering provide outstanding catering service from start to finish. We found Zach through WeddingWire, and we were able to create a menu that encompassed all of the dishes on our wish list at a value that no one came close to. It didn't take long into the tasting either to recognize that we had found our caterer - the food was delicious! Zach was great with communicating with us as we tweaked our menu a little here and there. Even though we knew he was constantly busy preparing other events, you wouldn't have known it by the attention and care he provided us approaching the wedding. A couple of days before the wedding we had our last phone meeting to discuss the final details. At the end of the conversation, Zach told us not to worry one second about the service Roundz would be providing. We gave them our trust, and Roundz did not disappoint.

The reception could not have been any smoother. The food was GREAT, the service was GREAT, and not once was I concerned with anything other than having a good time. At some point in our planning with Zach my wife had mentioned that her favorite drink was a tequila sunrise. When we sat down at the head table, Zach personally delivered one for her, which was a nice touch. It's wonderful to have peace of mind knowing that you and your guests are in the hands of a fantastic crew providing fantastic food service for you. With that said, Chef Zach and Roundz catering come highly recommended from this happy couple!

Our recent wedding in June was truly memorable, thanks in large part to the delicious food and great service provided by Roundz.

We were on a budget, but Roundz had no qualms about working within it and gave us amazing value for our money! I never felt embarrassed asking about costs due to their friendliness and understanding.

In the planning stages we spoke directly with Chef Zach Pope (instead of someone in sales as with other companies), so we knew that nothing would be changed or lost in translation. We had very particular demands about the food, even sending in various recipes and Zach was wonderful in working with us to come up with the perfect tastes and combinations! He really knows food. People raved about it. We even changed things around at various points and Zach was with us all the way, never expressing frustration but rolling with the punches!

On the day of our wedding the catering staff arrived on time and set everything up beautifully! Immediately after our ceremony, champagne flutes were waiting for our guests as planned and the staff were so friendly and efficient! We got comments from our guests not just on the food, but on the friendliness of the staff too! (Dinner started a bit late, but I think this was in large part due to the flow of events, the demands of our food, and the limitations of the venue, which had only a narrow staircase for transporting things up to the kitchen!)

Clean-up was completed with time to spare, I could not have asked for more.

The food was GREAT and Zach catered to our every wish. He even surprised us on the wedding day with some extras! He is a very nice guy and super easy to work with.


The only issues we had were things that we had talked to him about during out tasting but had not clarified on paper. All of our guests were very pleased.

Once we tasted his food we knew Chef Zach and the Roundz staff HAD to cater our wedding. Zach and his staff went out of their way to please us, the clients. The food, service, and personal attention to detail were great! His staff was friendly to us and our guests. Zach also works hard to keep the price of his services down. Round Catering is THE BEST!!! Please look no further!! I had tasted with 3 other caterers and spoke with nearly 25 others prior to speaking with Chef Zach. As soon as I spoke to him, I felt the distinct difference. He is far superior to anyone in town and his service matches his down to earth, superb personality. Our Menu for the Simms And Graves Wedding Was His Wonderful glazed ribs, A veggie presentation that was in shot glasses with a wonderful aioli sauce, friut presentation of fresh berries, Beef Tenderloin Sandwiches with a not so heavy garlic Blue-cheese Butter on fresh rolls, Shrimp Skewers with Marrocan Bar-B-Que Sauce, And He also made Homemade Strawberry Lemonade for me, Which was very Yummy!!! He Meet all of my expectations. Especially for an expecting bride. He even gave my husband a special plate because it was his birthday the day that we got married. It was Fried Chicken And French Fries With Delicious Biscutes and His favorite Beverage Cream Soda!!! I loved it and Everything was so wonderful that nothing was left! Everyone enjoyed the food... I still hear about it today. And I'm having A second reception and I'm inviting him back again to do once again dazzle our taste buds... and our knowledge about foods that We thought we would never try.... He is Highley recomended in my book and he will always be!!! My number 1 chef ever!!!!

Zach was great to work with. We had a strict budget in mind and he was able to provide everything we needed and more for the price we needed. He brought tables, linens, bartender - everything. We brought in the alcohol. We changed our mind after we started working on the proposal and he helped us make our real desires come true. He kept us on focus with what we really needed to be concerned with. I highly recommend him for any events. He has great experience and a very good heart.
