Alison listened to every last detail and really spent a great deal of time planning with us. The flowers were gorgeous. My bouquet was the most beautiful thing Ive ever seen! She incorporated wedding colors into the flowers and made everything look so elegant. The chuppah was beautiful, too. They do an excellent job at Rutland Beard and I would highly recommend.

Rutland Beard did a very nice job with our wedding flowers. The bouquets were absolutely beautiful and they did a great job of decorating the pews in our church. We had several comments about how lovely the bouquets were. We worked with Alison who was very sweet and helped us stay within our budget. The only reason why we couldn't give five out of five stars on everything was because the bouttoniers for the groom, fathers, and ring bearer (which were white stephanotis) were a little wilted and the wedding coordinator at our church had to pluck off some of the wilted flowers. Other than that minor issue, we absolutely loved all the arrangements and would recommend this florist to anyone we know (although we would warn them about the stephanotis flowers).

Alison and the staff at Rutland Beard Florist made our wedding truly perfect- she was fun to work with and made it very easy for us- she instantly understood our 'theme' and shocked us with the most amazing bouquets of flowers, we will never forget!

I first came to Alison about a year before my wedding. At that point, I had met with 2 other florists – one of whom never called me back, and the other who’s ideas were completely off-base from what I had requested. I had tried to set up a consultation with another florist in the area who point-blank told me that they wouldn’t even talk to me or meet with me until about 6 months before my wedding...sorry, but I wanted to have my florist booked well before that! I then read some reviews for Rutland Beard on this site, and decided to give them a call.

From that first phone call, Alison has always been completely in my corner, and ready and willing to toss ideas around with me...even before we had officially booked with her! I don’t know a whole lot about flowers (other than ones I like vs. ones I don’t like), but Alison has to be one of the most talented individuals in this area that I have ever met. In meeting with her, she was immediately able to get a feel for the look I was going for...and to be completely honest, I can tell you that her beautiful and creative ideas for our flowers are what helped to shape my vision for the rest of our wedding – so I will be forever grateful to her for that :-).

My bouquet was even more beautiful than I ever imagined it could be...as were my bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces...everything was just so romantic and feminine and pretty – it was exactly how Alison had described her vision to me, and I LOVED every single detail that she pulled together for us!

For someone who typically worries about everything, it was very refreshing to know that I didn’t have to worry about how our flowers would turn out – I trusted Alison completely, and knew that everything would look beautiful! Rutland Beard of Ruxton was my hero! I had a different florist lined up originally, but some unfortunate circumstances with them led me to be florist-less about 6 weeks before my wedding! Alison jumped to my rescue and was more than happy to help me out! We sat down and went over my vision for the wedding day, my venue layout and color scheme and Alison designed my flowers for the day! She even came up with some original ideas that I wouldn't have even thought of. I had met with 5 or 6 florists and wanted ideas to light my ceremony aisle since it was potentially going to be dusk by the time my ceremony was over and no one came up with a great plan like Alison! All of the bouquets were beautiful, the centerpieces were just what I was looking for and the rest of the designs were just perfect! I knew I wouldn't have to worry about a thing when it came to my flowers on my wedding day thanks to Alison!

Allison at Rutland Beard did a beautiful job on the flowers for my ceremony and reception. She was very flexible in meeting, listened passionately to our desires and then added her personal touches to complete our vision. Everything was beautiful and everyone was very impressed! I fell in love with my bouquet and even dried it so I could have it for many years to come.

My husband and I worked with Alison. I liked how Alison began by asking us how important flowers were to our wedding day. Our venue did not need extra flowers so we used Rutland for bouquets, centerpieces, and boutonnieres. Rutland was the only florist we met with to pull flowers from their shop to show us possible ideas. Alison asked us about all our decoration ideas and gave us advice on how to make our table numbers, etc. On the day of the wedding, the flowers were delivered right on time to my hotel room :) I will definitely be visiting their shop in the future. :)

We had our flowers done by Rutland Beard and from the moment I met Li, I knew she was for us. She understood what I wanted even when I couldn't really explain what it was. Our flowers were beautiful. Alison was extremely helpful, friendly, and had a great feel for what I wanted for my wedding. I know very little about flowers so I was counting on her to make suggestions and she did not let me down. After asking a few questions about me and my wedding plans so far, she gave me some ideas that I thought were perfect. My favorite part was the flower ribbon for the flower girl, which was adorable! We had arranged the time for delivery, but the night before I realized I would need the flowers earlier, so I emailed Alison and she said it would be taken care of - and it was! Alison was amazing! When I met with her, I knew what I wanted for my bridal bouquet, but was not sure about my bridesmaids. She was able to take a picture I showed her for my bouquet and make turn it into something even more beautiful than I imagined. For the bridesmaids, she walked me through what colors would look best with their dresses and complement my bouquet, but still letting the decisions be mine. My husband went with me to the consultation with Alison and when we were finished, he commented how easy she made it for us and enjoyed working with her. I wanted to make a few small changes to my order, and Alison was completely accommodating with them. All of the flowers were beautiful!!! And many of my guest commented on them. I am having my bouquet preserved so that I can enjoy it forever.

Rutland Beard did a fantastic job with my wedding flowers. From the minute my Mom and I walked in the door to just see what they had in the planning stages - when we had not yet selected a florist - Rut was professional and informative, sharing information about calla lilies that we did not know and found extremely helpful. We ultimately selected Rutland Beard and found their calla lilies to be far superior to other florists' calla lilies.

OMG! Alison was PERFECT!!! I met with her three times before the wedding, and you can just tell that flowers are her passion. She made them so awesome and beautiful, words can't express. So many compliments on the flowers. I LOVED them, when we arrived at the venue, the bouquets were in the bridal suite already, and in pots of water to stay fresh, just breathtakingly beautiful is all I can say. Alison did a fantastic job at capturing what I wanted for my wedding flowers. I did not know exactly what flowers I wanted when I went to see her, being that I did not know what flowers would be available at a good price in November. I just had general ideas about the colors and shape that I was going for. When I told her things that I had seen in pictures, she was also very realistic with me about prices and what would be beautiful and available for me. She did an excellent job painting a picture of what things would look like and would adjust things based on what I told her I wanted. On the wedding day everything looked perfect. I loved the ideas that she had and everything was more beautiful than I'd imagined. The flowers were also very good quality. I gave the head table centerpiece to my mother-in-law and she loved it. It has lasted over a week. Alison and her team really pay attention to the small details. I couldn't be happier with my wedding flowers.

Rutland Beard did an amazing job with the flowers. During our consultation with them, they even had samples of the flowers I wanted to use set up so I could see them next to our color swatches. We has to make a couple last minute changes to our order and they were nothing but accommodating and responsive. On our wedding day, the flowers were there on time and they were all so fresh and beautiful! They made both the day and the pictures complete!

Flowers were not important to me when I began planning my wedding but they soon became the one thing I focused on. Li was a pleasure to work with. She is a lady who loves her flowers and knows how to make them look amazing. I met with her 3-4 times and every time it seemed something happened and I was hours late and every time Li told it was fine, relax and everything will be ok. Everything was more than ok for the day of the wedding. The bouquets she made for the me and the bridesmaids where more than I could have asked for. I had told Li to go ahead and do what she thought for the centerpieces and they did NOT disappoint! You can put your trust in Li to make your wedding flowers everything you want!

We worked with Allison at Rutland Beard Florist of Ruxton and she truly helped make sure my flowers were perfect. I was so torn between two distinct different styles. Allison helped me figure out what was right for me and my bridal party. The flowers were even more beautiful then I could imagine. Know exactly what you want, but way over budget? Allison will work with you. We loved our flowers - the hydrangeas did not wilt (unlike flowers from another wedding I went to out-of-state).

When we received our flowers at the hotel, I was simply stunned at how beautiful and coordinated they were in relation to the girls’ dresses and our theme of ‘simply elegant.’ I loved the pale pink and white peonies, and the oriental lilies. I asked Lee from Rutland Beard to create a feel where my guests would be "walking through a field of wildflowers" as they ate dinner. She suggested a creative approach, seldom used at weddings, to do a "monochromatic" theme where every table would have a different flower but only one flower. We used terracotta pots for the natural touch and had peach, yellow, pink and white wildflowers. The tent looked outrageous and we had comments on the uniqueness all night.

This florist is one of the best in her field. Alision will sit down with the bride, listen to her vision for her floral design, and then will suggest the perfect floral arrangement. Alison has a sweet personality and customer service is top notch. I recommend her to my brides.
