Ryan Smith Photography

I highly recommend Ryan Smith Photography! He is an excellent photographer and my wedding pictures far exceeded my expections. He is able to catch the most intimate and sentimental moments; every time I look at my wedding photos I relive the day all over again! You will not be disappointed with Ryan, he is immensely talented and a consummate professional.

I had a very bad experience using Ryan Smith as my wedding photographer.

The pros: There are some beautiful bridal portraits and photographs of my husband and I together.

The cons:
We do not have a single photograph of our entire bridal party, we do not have a single photograph of us with our families (not even with our immediate families let alone with our extended families). Some of my relatives who flew in from Canada to come to our wedding are not in any of the pictures. I don't have a picture of my dress. I don't even have a picture in my dress that is close up enough to see its details. We have maybe 3 photographs of the decor, but beyond that no photographs of the majority of the venue or decorations.

**If you use Ryan Smith, be sure to make a specific list and tell him EXACTLY which photographs are important for you to have AND when exactly during the evening you would like them taken. I made the false assumption that he is the photographer and should know what he is doing so I left it up to him to capture our big day. Very bad idea! I was so disappointed about everything that was missed.

When I asked Ryan about the photographs that were missed afterwards (unfortunately in all the chaos of the wedding I didn't realize we were missing all of those important pictures) he became extremely defensive and told me it was all my fault.

He also wrote a blog after my wedding saying that I was an uncooperative bride for not climbing the twisting tiny stairs of the light house in my high heels and wedding gown (this was before I had even walked down the aisle and did not want to rip my gown or fall) for one photo that he wanted to take. Very unprofessional.

Ryan was such a wonderful photographer, I couldn't have asked for better! My husband is one that is hard to get a decent picture of and every pic Ryan took if him and everyone for that matter, perfectly captured the moment flawlessly. I hope to work with him again when my husband and I renew our vows

I have really enjoyed working with Ryan. He takes amazing pictures and is very flexible with timing and picture ideas. The quality of the pictures are great. He did our engagement pictures and wedding pictures and we hope, one day, we will return for family pictures. My only suggestion to future brides and grooms is this: make a list of the "must get pictures" and have it with you for the day of the wedding. Ryan suggested that to me, I had a list but forgot about it the day of the wedding. We did forget a few pictures I wanted but the ones we got are amazing and I'm very pleased with all of our pictures. There are so many great ones that I can't decide which ones I want to have printed :-) Not a bad problem to have !!

Ryan was professional, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. He was able to make us comfortable, and our pictures show that. Every shot captures our true feelings, and to us, are precious moments that are forever frozen in time. Every time we look at our proofs, we laugh - and we cry. They are truly beautiful, and we are so fortuante to have picked Ryan to potograph our special day. If you want beautiful, personal photos that will bring back your treasured day for years to come, please look at Ryan's work ... You will be thrilled (PS - I never give 5 stars - for Ryan, 5 really wan't enough)

Ryan Smith is a talented photographer who made our experience very enjoyable. He was laid back, and listened to any suggestions/requests that we had, but he was also able to take control when we needed him to. We are pleased with our photos, and are still trying to pick the ones we want to order (a tough task!). Thank you Ryan! ~Troy and Sarina

Ryan took wonderful photos at both our wedding and family gathering at the beach the very next morning. He was so great to work with and really got beautiful shots. I know it's difficult working with such a large group (my family made up 30 of the 45 ppl there), but Ryan handled us with such patience and professionalism. We couldn't have asked for anything better. I would absolutely recommend Ryan and will be in touch for future family photos in Myrtle Beach!

Ryan is absolutely wonderful! he is great to work with make picture taking a great experience, and he has such a great talent for photography, he know just how and when to capture that special moment on your special day!!!! My husband and i are so glad we chose Ryan to photograph our wedding day, when we look at the photos we feel like we are back to that special day!!!!
