Sachiko did my hair and makeup for my recent wedding, along with that of my four bridesmaids (with the help of an assistant) and I could not be happier with her work. I have never looked better - everything was exactly as I wanted it. My makeup looked very natural and beautiful (with the help of airbrush foundation and individually-placed false eyelashes) and both it and my updo stayed in place all night. Sachiko arrived at our hotel at 9.30am and worked right through until 7.30pm, accompanying us to the wedding venue for touch-ups pre and post ceremony. She even helped with cleaning and bustling my dress after it got a little dusty while we were taking photos. Through it all she was extremely accommodating, funny, and friendly. Compared to a lot of other NYC makeup artists/hair stylists I contacted, she’s reasonably priced too. She was a dream to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to any brides out there. Thank you Sachiko!

Sachiko was the best person to work with on my wedding day. It's a good thing because she spent a lot of time making me look and feel beautiful on a most frantic/stressful day when I wanted to be a million places at once- orchestrating the table settings, directing my bridal party to tie up countless loose ends, and to pose for my first photo shoot with a photographer (modeling is hard!!!). Even though it was the first time I ever met her, she was so warm and thoughtful like a longtime friend. We chatted as she consulted me on 2 possible looks, one of which she gently guided to with her professional opinion. She gave my bridesmaids tips on how to help me do touch ups and to pull out my long veil so my hair would stay intact. And boy did my makeup and hair stay intact- people complimented me on the graceful look, which I totally lack in real life. She used individual eyelashes and a airbrush foundation- which are very "extra" services with other vendors. I am so relieved to see on some preliminary point-and-shoot digital camera images that my neck and face were of the same color (hard to achieve during an evening wedding). Sachiko is such an amazing lady who showed up EARLY and left only when she made sure everything looked great. Some vendors made me feel bad about aesthetic choices vs. budget so I was so relieved to have someone so positive, kind, and professional.

I fear that I will not be able to convey just how wonderful Sachiko is as she is absolutely brilliant at what she does and I felt truly lucky to have her as part of my wedding vendor team - by the end of the day Sachiko felt like one of the family!Sachiko is incredibly sweet, kind and truly cares about what you have in mind for your wedding. Sachiko is also extremely talented in what she does. I had two hair and make-up trials with Sachiko before the wedding as I couldn’t make up my mind and during both very long appointments she listened attentively to my ideas, complimented my ideas with her own and truly made me feel comfortable about the whole process (I am not used to being pampered!). On the wedding day Sachiko was faced with 10 hours of grueling work but not once did she stop smiling. She was extremely polite and not phased by the task ahead of her. She had not met 3 of my wedding party as they were from out of town and she immediately built a rapport with them and made them feel very comfortable. She took their ideas for their hair and make-up and worked with the ideas to develop styles that were beautiful.By the time Sachiko had finished with all of us we all looked absolutely stunning - her skills with all our different hair types and styles was exceptional - we all felt like a million dollars. My Mum, who doesn’t let anyone touch her hair or make-up, allowed Sachiko to do so and the results were fantastic. Everyone was so pleased.During the day Sachiko was always at my side and became more part of the wedding party than just the hair and make-up artist. She was incredibly attentive to me and always ensured I looked my best. Sachiko took it upon herself to also ensure my dress was always properly arranged and looked after which illustrates just how much she cares. I can’t recommend Sachiko enough, she is truly talented at what she does, her fees are extremely reasonable and she’s just such a lovely person that you feel so at ease and in safe hands.

OMG (times 1000!) I absolutely LOVED working with Sachiko. Her work was beyond perfect. Plus, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I am so not a hair & make-up kind of chick so I have to admit I was a bit terrified when I committed to doing a trial for my wedding. After having shared my fears with Sachiko, I was so relieved and joyous by the final outcome. The make-up was very natural and flawless and the hairstyle so exquisite. Everyone was in shock when they saw me on my wedding day. (Believe me when I tell you that I wore sneakers on my first date with my now hubby and practicaly live in my sweats). Not only did Sachiko help me look like a princess, she made me feel like one too. She also did a fabulous job on my sister's hair and make-up. The look on her face when she looked into the mirror was priceless. She looked so precious. Bottom line: Sachiko rocks!

Sachiko is amazing! Show her a picture of any hair style and she can replicate it! My hair and makeup trial was awesome - she did 4 different hair styles and they were all so nice that it was difficult to choose just one. On the day of, she did 8 services (hair/make-up combinations) efficiently and always with a smile or an awesome story about her family and travels. Even when she was done, she insisted on staying to watch me and the bridal party take pictures. She was even there to apply bug spray! Sachiko is such a sweetheart and a talented stylist!

Sachiko is the sweetest!!! She is also so super talented! My day of wedding coordinator suggested her and I emailed her right away to see if she was available and thank goodness she was!!! When I met her during the trial, I gave her a ton of pictures for hair...and she did every hairstyle and even took a picture of me after each hairstyle. Even the makeup she did on me was super natural and fresh!On the day of my wedding, she came super early and was on time--after Sachiko's magic, every member of my wedding party looked amazing!!! She is wonderful to have with you on the day of your wedding...and she is super affordable compared to other hair/makeup people. She will make you look FLAWLESS!!!!

Sachiko recently did my hair+makeup for my wedding and she is amazing! The trial before the big day was great. My husband and I were actually late for an hour (NYC Friday afternoon traffic) and she still tried to meet us (even though she was missing her kid's graduation because of it! -Sorry, Sachiko!) When the wedding day came, she showed up early (big plus!)!!! She's really efficient, yet calm. She made all of us (including my mom and mother-in-law) look absolutely beautiful (love the fake eyelashes)!! She even did a quick touch up for my dad and my husband so that they look great in the pics! I am soooo lucky that I had her for my wedding day!! (btw, she's usually fairly booked, so, try to reserve your spot as early as possible...)

I can't say enough good things about Sachiko! I work in the wedding industry and had seen Sachiko's work many times in person, so when it was time for me to get married there was no doubt that she would do my hair and makeup. My wedding was outdoors on a warm day so we chose to do airbrush makeup which was the absolute best decision! My makeup survived through sweat and tears all day and looked wonderful! Sachiko brought a team to take care of 16 women that needed pro hair & makeup that day. We got compliments all day on how wonderful everyone looked! The ladies worked quickly and professionally. I couldn't have asked for a better team!

I got married at the Metropolitan Building in April 2010. Not only did Sachiko do an amazing job on me and my bridal party, but she went above and beyond for me throughout the entire day. I hired her for the full day and she made sure my hair and makeup was always perfect. I even had a "hair change" before the reception and she was able to do it in not-so-ideal conditions (it had to be done quickly, it was dark, and people were all around me). She also used airbrushing on me (which I highly recommend) and my makeup did not budge. I partied until 5am, slept in my makeup, and woke up still looking radiant. She is amazing! Thanks Sachiko!

Sachiko is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was looking for a make-up artist that specialized in Asian hair and make-up. She is very prompt in returning messages / emails and professional from the start. I went to see her for a make-up trial and she did a fantastic job! I was shocked at the results. The make-up and hair looked incredible! She is one of the nicest vendors I have spoken to. She genuinely cares about you and not just trying to make a quick buck like other vendors I've spoken to. I wish I could have had her as my make-up artist, but we decided to have a destination wedding.

Sachiko is such an angel! She did an amazing job on my makeup as well as the bridesmaids and moms and grandmothers. Everyone complimented on my make up and I have to say, i did look great! My husband could not stop complimented on how great I look that day. Sachiko managed to made me look like myself but with glam. The make up stayed all night and thanks to her suggestion to using airbrush. The makeup was flawless! I will definitely go to Sachiko for any special occasion makeup!

Sachiko was the best! She seemed to know exactly what to do to make everyone in the bridal party look amazing! (and my bridal party was a range of race, age, etc and she did an amazing job working with everyone's complexion, hair type etc) Honestly I went in with a very unclear idea of what I wanted to look like and she took the time to do several differerent trials on me and found soo many choices that looked great that the hardest part was picking one! She was always great responding to my emails, questions etc and was so sweet and professional on the day of. Honestly I couldn't recommend her highly enough!! Even at the last minute I had more people in my bridal party decided they wanted services (four days before) and she was luckily able to accomdate them. I thought she made me look better than i have EVER looked before. LOVE HER! My mom joked that she like her make up so much she almost didn't want to wash her face so she could keep it on the next day!

I love Sachiko. I would give her 10 stars if I could! From start to finish, Sachiko was professional, prompt in her responses, and ultimately she did a wonderful job. She has a sweet and calming personality, which was so comforting while getting ready on the big day. At the trial, she inquired about my dress and accessories, my personal aesthetics in order to coordinate a cohesive style. She listened carefully to the look that I had in mind but yet had definite opinions and a strong sense of what would look good on photos. She used high quality cosmetics, such as Kiehls and NARS. She applied individual faux eyelashes and custom trimmed them. They felt light, comfortable, and totally gorgeous yet believable. We tried out four different hairstyles and discussed how we could easily modify the hairstyle to complement my dresses (I changed two times). On my wedding day, I booked Sachiko for a 6 service package. Her prices were very reasonable for New York. She did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and my mom-in-law. All three of us looked and felt fabulous. I honestly have never felt more beautiful. I cried and laughed the whole day, but my makeup and hair miraculously stayed in place with just occasional touch-ups with lip gloss and bobby pins. I'm looking for excuses to book her again for hair and makeup. Absolutely recommended!

Sachiko did hair for me (bride), my mom, and 3 of my bridesmaids. Sachiko's work was BEAUTIFUL and gave each girl a different style - each style fit the girl to a "T". Sachiko's prices were very reasonable, and she was willing to travel, which was great, because who wants to travel around on their wedding day? Not this bride!

Not only was Sachiko's work beautiful, but she was great to have around and is such a sweetheart. She was able to keep me calm and comfortable (she knew I was very nervous about my hair) the whole day.

Sachiko is a great person to have on your wedding day! She not only does fabulous hair, she is a great source of calm. She was a soothing presence to be around. Not to mention she came armed with a suitcase (no joke) of styling products. By the end of the wedding night, the dance floor was practically a mosh pit but my hair still did not move one bit. Sachiko also made the Moms look great, even though both had very short hair. For the MOB, she made her look as if she had an updo using strategic placement of bobby pins and for the MOG, she made her look very chic and high-fashioned.

Sachiko was an angel to work with! She did the hair for my entire bridal party (4 girls), and my mother and my hair and make-up in about 5 hours. We were on or ahead of schedule the entire day. She was able to recreate any style that the my bridesmaid wanted. Most of the girls, including myself have very straight hair, and find it difficult to find people who can style our hair and make it stay up the entire night. All of our hair styles stayed up from 10 in the morning until 3 or 4 the next morning. Before my trial, I was wary about using fake eyelashes, but the entire day, I hardly felt a thing, and my make-up stayed flawless until the very end of the night. Sachiko had such a calming influence, and is so experienced at doing wedding make-up/hair she knew all about the must take pictures, as well as how to calm nervous parents, bridesmaids, and in-laws.

I am extremely happy with sachiko's services. She did a fantastic job on my makeup, and it looked gorgeous while still being natural. It also lasted all night. I received tons of compliments on how I looked. She was a calming, soothing presence while I was getting ready. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a makeup artist.

Sachiko is a truly talented makeup and hair artist. I went to her with no idea what I like. During the hair/makeup trial, she tried over 5 different hair styles so I know what looks best on me. I did a last minute reschedule on her and she was very understanding. On the day of the reception, she showed up early and went to work right away. I would definitely hire her for any of my beauty needs.

Sachiko is definitely the best in the whole NYC metro. When my older sister got married, she was making beautiful hair and makeup for my sister. My older sister look absolutely beautiful and astonishing on her wedding date. When my wedding came, of course, she was my hair stylist. She spent a very long time to concentrate my hair and communicate with me. My hair and make up and the whole dress can't be any better than I looked for.
My younger sister just got married last sunday and I couldn't think of any better gift than having Sachiko again as her wedding gift. Sachiko again made the magic happened and everyone was impressed by how pretty my younger sister looked at that night. Sachiko is definitely highly recommended for your wedding day. Her perfect skill can make all brides truly happy on the wedding day and you will see the value on your wedding photos. My sisters and my weddings photos all come out to be so satisfying and we really like Sachiko's work.
