Anne is so great! She is so sweet and it felt like one of my friends doing the photography. Highly recommend doing the engagement photo session so you get to know each other and also so you have some great photos that are not too formal.

I had the pleasure of working with Anne Sachs and Edwin for my wedding on October 1st. Simply put..they are amazing! The pictures from my special day are phenomenal! They managed to capture every special moment and when my husband and I look at them we feel like we get to relive our day. Friends that have seen the pictures comment on how beautiful they are....I have told everyone possible to use
artful weddings as their wedding photographer. Truthfully, my experience could not have been any better. On top of
the stress of planning a wedding my husband and I were also
trying to do it from out of state. Anne was more than accommodating and flexible throughout the whole process.

Anne and Sarah photographed our wedding at Tabrizi's and did a fabulous job. They had great ideas and captured some beautiful moments in unique and artistic ways. I just loved looking through all the pictures. Their personalities are great too-- we felt super comfortable and honestly didn't even know they were there for most of the wedding! It was a pleasure working with Artful Weddings and I would highly recommend them for any event.

Artful Weddings photographed two weddings for our family this year, and both sets of pictures are beautiful, capturing each event's unique character. Anne, Howard, and Joe all know what makes a good picture and provide excellent guidance but also know exactly when to fade into the background and record the unscripted moments. Anne Sachs and Edwin shot our June wedding and did such a phenomenal job! From the first time I met Anne, I knew from her sample photos and her professional yet kind and fun demeanor, that she would be great. This initial thought was bolstered by conversations with friends that had used Anne, as well as recommendations from all the other types of vendors we consulted.

At the engagement session Anne put us at ease, and on the day of the wedding, she managed to be everywhere, capturing every moment, without being intrusive. All of our friends and family commented about how wonderful Anne was that day. She also made sure to that we captured all of the people we had put on our list to make sure we didn't forget any pictures amid all of the excitement.

The photos were nothing short of exquisite, and the link to the website was posted quickly. We are now in the midst of designing our album, and it is so hard to choose from all the lovely photographs!

We have already recommended Anne to all of our engaged friends and can't say enough good things about her!

Joe and Ann Sachs shot our June wedding and did a more spectacular job than we could have expected! From our first meeting their personalized service and can do attitudes won us over (as did their beautiful portfolio). While shopping for other types of vendors we received very positive feedback when asked who was shooting our wedding. From our florist to our videographer, everyone who had worked with them had nothing but good things to say! Which as a bride, really put my mind at ease. The day of the wedding they were professional and fun. They seemed to be everywhere to get the shot without being intrusive. After coming home from our honeymoon we were immediately able to access our online album and couldn't have been happier! Ann and Joe took so many amazing photographers! We received so many calls from friends and family saying how beautiful our pictures are. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives but seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. I highly recommend Sachs to capture every wonderful moment.

Working with Anne from start to finish was excellent in every way. Before and during our engagement session, we had a chance to get to know Anne and her style of photography. She was extremely flexible with us and how she shot our photos. Her professionalism showed through when we got to see our prints. Her experience in helping us lay out a time line for our wedding day and keeping to that timeline was priceless. We chose to use Anne and Edwin as our wedding day photographers and they were exceptional! They gave us great input, but allowed us to add our own creativity to the photos. Anne and her team made us feel like our wedding was the most important day of their lives. They truly treated us like a king and queen. They took time to get to know us before the wedding to determine our priorities for the day. All of the photos are amazing, we get compliments from everyone who sees them. Anne caught moments on film that we hardly remember from the day and that we'll cherish forever.

We worked with Anne as the photographer for our October wedding by the Chesapeake Bay, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Anne really listened to what we wanted, and also gave us candid feedback on what would work best for our guests and our location. On the day of the wedding she was there, calm and steady (even though I wasn't!), and we were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing that she would use all her skill and talent to capture every moment. We also worked with another photographer from this shop, Olivier, who was on hand to capture pre-ceremony moments with the groom while Anne was with the bride, and stayed throughout the evening to make sure that we didn't miss a single photo op. He was wonderful to work with, and lent his own artistic perspective to the photography so that we had a great variety of images to choose from. I highly recommend this vendor, and the two-shooter option is definitely worth it. This was a wonderful experience.

Choosing Sachs Photography for our wedding was a no brainer. When I went online and saw the gorgeous photographs, I just knew I had to use them. I was nervous that my pictures wouldn't turn out as perfect as the ones on the website, but boy was I wrong. We hired Joe Sachs and an associate photographer to shoot our ceremony and reception. The pictures truly exceeded my expectations. They truly captured every special moment, and made us and our families feel at ease. And, we had our pictures within 2 weeks of our wedding!!! The angles, the colors, and the emotions they captured were simply priceless. Plus, they were punctual and professional. I highly recommend them!

Anne Sachs and her team are professional, personable and a pleasure to work with. Artful Weddings is THE must-have vendor. We enjoyed having the engagement shoot in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore, (got to know the photographer, who made a guest book out of the photos). The planning with this vendor was a breeze, and we were very confident throughout the process. Anne worked with us to create a time line of shots, and she was able to meet all of our requests in the time frame. The photographers were invisible during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Sachs Photography was absolutely the best choice we could have made. We had Heather and Sara as our photographers and they took some of the most beautiful pictures. They were fantastic in accommodating our requests as well as suggesting some additional shots. They were exactly what we were looking for, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled photographer.

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon and finally got the chance to look at all 923 photos that are posted on the web. We also recently received our own DVD version of every edited photo! All I can say is "WOW"!!! We are overwhelmingly thrilled and beyond excited about the work Sachs Photography did!! We love each and every one of the photos. Heather Keating completely and totally captured every single minute of the day in a sensitive and artistic manner that has more than exceeded both our expectations AND our greatest hopes! From the getting ready shots to the shots with the sculptures, to the family shots, to the ceremony, the flowers, the cake, us dancing, our wedding Nikes, (I could go on and on), her work is so wonderful. It enables us to relive the best day of our life together and re-experience the same joy, humor, and overall intensity of emotions that were feeling as each of those amazing moments flew by. We also get to see the sculptural and artistic elements we cared so much about with the gorgeous close-up shots she took of my dress, our shoes and the rings, to name a few. Anne and Joe photographed our wedding in July, 2009 at the Antrim. I can't rave about them or there pictures, enough! Not only did they make my husband and me feel comfortable in front of the camera, they also let us enjoy the day without direction and captured moments that are unforgettable, intimate and memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

I cannot say enough about these photographers. They were so easy to work with and so willing to help me with ideas/changes/opinions about good shots. My wedding was May 30, 2009 at the Kent Manor Inn. I had the pleasure of working with Anne Sachs and Edwin, her assistant. From the beginning of the planning process to scheduling a meeting over the 4th of July holiday to meet Sachs Photography is the best. Not only am I bride of their's but I also work closely with Anne and Joe as a wedding coorindator. They truly capture each and every moment without you even knowing that they are there. With over 1400 images of my wedding from start to end I still look back and say when was that picture taken. If you are looking for a personable photographer, who is non-intrusive I would defintely recommend Sachs Photography.

Anne Sachs is amazing! From our very first appointment, to the wedding day itself, and through the album planning process, Anne and her team have been an absolute dream to work with. During our first meeting, Anne seemed more interested in getting to know my fiancee and I than in making the big sell (though she clearly did that well, too!), and she respected and worked within our budget. Anne is a rare combination of easygoing yet highly professional, and her creativity and humor are wonderfully refreshing. Joe captured every special moment of the best day of our lives in May of 2008 when we got married. He also did our engagement pictures in fall of 2007. Today, Anne photographed our one year old son and we had one of the best family experiences to date- our session was fun and relaxed and the perfect way to benchmark our little family. I can't thank Joe and Anne enough for helping us to commemorate our special occasions in such a touching, beautiful way.

We had the pleasure of working with Anne in the spring of '08. We had such an incredible experience that I find myself STILL singing her praises. Specifically, we were drawn to her quality of work - every photo beautiful and captured the emotion of the moment. Choosing photos for the album was hard because of that! Planning with Anne was effortless, easy and enjoyable. Then, on the day of our wedding, Anne blended right in to capture fantastic shots. She even worked with us to get a large group photo taken from the second floor while our guests were on the lawn. To this day, I am still left with a great impression of the work and the person who helped to capture our special day. When you still feel like this years after the event, you KNOW it was excellent service.

Sachs photography was extremely accomodating, and they were interested in phtographing our wedding in several styles. They covered everything!!!

Ann Sachs and her assistant Maria were absolutely wonderful. They were always on top of things and I hardly ever noticed them - in that they were unobtrusive to the events taking place. Ann took such an interest in what WE wanted for our wedding. Their photography style really caught my heart - they truly know how to capture the essence of the occasion through photo journalism style which is what we were looking for.

Pictures are SO important. I love my album. I loved the photographers. You didn't even know they were there. The wonderful thing is that Joe can really pull your personality out in the photographs. It makes such a difference. I get compliments on our photographs all the time.

Sachs photography did a fantastic job on our wedding photos. We had Heather and Sarah, and they were awesome. We had a blast with them. They really knew what they were doing. I didn't even notice them during the reception or ceremony. They really had some amazing shots down on the beach, i couldn't have even imagined the way they turned out. They are costly, but all the good photographers are, but they really are worth it. you get what you pay for! The only thing i had an issue with was, response time for emails. But its no big deal.

Budget concerns were big in planning our October 2010 wedding and hiring Artful Weddings as our photographers was one of our splurges. We are so glad that we made that decision! In fact, as it turns out, we didn't even have to splurge as much as we anticipated because Artful Weddings offers some pretty reasonable packages (as well as great rates for extras like a 2nd photographer). As for our pictures, they were fantastic and we couldn't be happier. Ollivier and Howard were great personalities to have on hand and many guests commented that they hardly noticed their presence. So many shots bring me back to the wedding day and remind me of exactly how special everything felt. We're really pleased with everything!

Heather and the entire team here were just amazing to work with. We had a great engagement session, and I cannot wait to see our final wedding shots. Heather is a true professional and artist and I loved all that she did.

Plus, they offered lots of different packages. Then Heather took the time to meet with us before hand to go through the lay of the land of our ceremony/reception sites.

And as soon as Heather and Sarah arrived to do photos the day of, they put us all right at ease. Heather kept us laughing and comfortable ahead of time, got fantastic and meaningful shots during the ceremony, and moved us through the few posed family pictures quickly but patiently. After that, Heather took us all around the gardens of our site (The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley) and got tons of great shots! Sarah became invisible and got pictures of the cocktail hour that perfectly captured the elegant and festive mood without making any guests feel like they were 'on.' The pictures of the reception were just as wonderful. We treasure the pictures of the dancing, too.

Again, we had so much fun with you -- you never made posing for pictures a chore. Thank you so so much for all your hard work! And we very highly recommend Artful Weddings!

Artful Weddings was absolutely fantastic - they worked with us to determine a package and photography arrangement in our budget and for what we were looking for. We ended up working with two of their associate photographers - Edwin and Sunny - and were very pleased. But were unobtrusive, easygoing, and got a great number of candid photos of our guests, as we wanted. We also loved that we got a mix of the traditional, posy-type of shots and a number of more creative & artsy photos. Artful Weddings was just amazing, and we would absolutely book again.

Joe is the best! He is extremely professional and is actually very helpful on the big day. He helped people get ready and made several useful suggestions, in addition to great posing and candid photography. His assistant and additional photographer were great and widely available; they really take a TON of pictures and the quality is unmatched. It is worth it to have more than one photog too, the price difference is nominal and you get various perspectives on the big moments. Very impressed!

Ann Sachs and her photographers captured the happiness and joy of my daughter and her husband as well as all the guests at the wedding. The photographs truly capture the uniqueness and ambiance of the area as well. We are very pleased and are having a difficult time determining which pictures will be chosen for the final album.

We very much enjoyed working with Sachs Photography for our wedding. We hired Edwin Remsberg and brought an assistant Sarah. They were both un-intrustive, captured many fabulous shots and a dream to work with. They really worked incredibly hard during our wedding, yet put our guests at ease. We loved our wedding photos!

The reason we only gave them four stars for value is we found their chooses a little confusing, but they were incredibly flexible and once we told them what we wanted, they did it.

We loved our pictures from Anne at Artful Weddings! The only problem is that there are so many good ones that four months later we still cannot decide what we want for our album! Anne was great to work with, very fun, and the pictures came out beautifully. I would absolutely recommend them for your wedding.

We loved working with Artful Weddings (and photographer Heather Keating) on our wedding. The pictures turned out beautifully, and Heather and her assistant brought a great vibe to our wedding day. They got us through the formal portaits pleasantly and efficiently, and blended right in with the party for the remainder of the time. We played a bit of phone tag to schedule our inital engagement session; otherwise, Artful Weddings was very responsive throughout the process. The services offered, while not cheap, are certainly worth every penny!

We hired Artful Weddings by Sachs Photography for our wedding and engagement pictures. We loved that they were small and personally owned and run by the Sachs. I had spoken to other big business vendors and felt that my wedding would be run by a machine, rather than people (what can I say, I like a personal touch).

Heather was absolutely amazing. She is very friendly and approachable, and very creative. We had no idea our pictures would come out as beautiful as they did. Our wedding party loved her, too. She is skilled at handling large parties and weddings - it was as if she was everywhere and no where at the same time (as in - she was able to capture all of the moments of the wedding, but we barely saw her).

You can tell that Anne and Joe are passionate about their work and their business. We did have a minor misunderstanding at one point in the process, but both sides clarified, apologized, and moved on as adults. We would recommend Sachs without hesitation, and would definitely hire Heather again. Our portfolio of pictures, both wedding and engagement, are amazing. If I had to do anything differently, it would have been adding an hour on to the contract. We had one photographer for 7 hours, and while Heather was very productive in that 7 hours, we missed some photo opportunities in that last hour and a half of the reception (including a last dress change). In my opinion, adding the 8th hour would have been worth it (and had I been able to stop and think about anything all day long, I would have just opted to pay extra to keep her there!).

I do have to add that Heather can be a bit difficult to get in touch with sometimes, but when you do speak to her, you realize it is nothing personal. :)

Anne Sachs and her team were the most incredible photographers. They were wonderfully professional, accommodating, and innovative throughout the whole process- from our initial consolation to the final event- our wedding day. Anne was a dream to work with and I can't imagine anyone else being there on my wedding day. She did our engagement shoot as well, and by the time the wedding arrived, my husband and I felt so comfortable with her and her team. The photos turned out just gorgeous. All in all, I would give Artful Weddings a 10 out of 10 and HIGHLY recommend!

As soon as I found Sach's photography I knew I wanted to use them! I really liked their style of photography and the feel that I got from them as a small company. We instantly felt comfortable with them. We did an engagement session with Anne, which was wonderful. Her bubbly personality made us feel right a home. We also loved the pictures! It was really difficult to choose which ones we were going to use! We were very lucky to have both Anne and Joe on the wedding day. This was great because Anne was able to get pictures of the guys getting ready, while Joe was with the girls. After the ceremony they did an awesome job getting the posed pictures out of the way fast. Then at the reception I hardly even knew they were there! I was a little anxious to get the pictures back and could hardly believe how quickly they were up on the website! We were able to view our wedding photos before friends of ours that got married a month before us. The wedding pictures are amazing!!! I could not have asked for more and I am absolutely in love with them! I look at them all the time and am able to relive my wedding day. They captured every moment in such a beautiful way! I am very happy that I chose Sach's photography and would highly recommend them!!!!

When I first contacted them, I had a bit of trouble getting information and felt a bit like I had gotten the run around, but once I got my proofs, all of that completely faded away, as the pictures were BEAUTIFUL! Anne Sachs was my photographer and she and her assistant were warm, unobtrusive and generally wonderful. She's not even one of the photographers that are on the website, but her work is amazing. I had such a hard time even narrowing down the pictures for the album! Lots of beautiful posed pictures, but also tons of awesome candids that really showcase what the wedding was all about. Highly recommended!

Heather and Sarah were the photographers of our wedding. Our wedding pictures turned out amazing! They caught every single moment of the day and I never even realized they were there half of the time. They were professional and did a beautiful job. Sarah was so sweet and made sure that I knew when she was leaving so she could get any last minute shots that I wanted. At times it was hard to get in touch with Heather about our engagement and wedding pictures but in the end I wouldn't have went with anyone else! I am so happy with Artful Weddings by Sachs Photography!

The best vendor I hired for my wedding, the professionalism was so wonderful and the photographers caught all the shots without interfering in our fun for the day.

Overall, we had an amazing experience with Sachs. They wee reasonably priced for their level of service and experience. Unfortunately, a fair amount of my photos, about 15%, (bridal portraits and bride with bridesmaids) were lost during the file transfer process. An unfortunate human error that I am sure happens very rarely with this vendor. Sachs was extremely apologetic about the accident, recognized that they could not replace the photos and made every effort to provide us with anything possible to help reduce the feeling of this void. They definitely went above and beyond for us. They made us feel like we were their only couple at every meeting. Their personal attention and fun-loving, unobtrusive demeanor definitely helped us enjoy our special day. Not to mention, our photos are breath taking. Special angles, artistic touches... they made every picture look unique and distinctive. I would definitely use them again!

Joe and his crew from Artful Weddings was great to work with. They helped us customize a photography package that worked best for us. Unfortunately it snowed on our wedding but Joe and Edwin were quick to find an indoor place and the pictures turned out wonderful.

I really searched for a photographer who would do less of the posed pictures and more candid shots with an artistic flare. While Heather Keating from Artful Weddings did provide a number of beautiful shots that absolutely fit that description, I also had a lot of those that did not. I did not try to contact her often but when I did she was very difficult to get in touch with and did not answer repeated e-mails - it took a phone message to finally get her to respond. She is very fun and encouraging as a photographer, but sometimes I thought she got a little too silly with her assistant, and my husband and I were pulled away from the cocktail hour to get pictures when we had said that we really did not want to do that.

Heather did talk me into doing a "first look," and I'm so glad she did. It absolutely helped calm our nerves and allowed us to enjoy our reception, but there were many posed shots during that first look time, and most came out looking just the was posed shots do to me - cheesy. There were also a lot of profile pictures of me, and I had specifically told her I really don't like my profile, so I won't be ordering any of those. While we had many beautiful pictures, I could say the same for the pictures some of my friends took, and I don't feel like my desires for the focus of our pictures was heard by our photographers.

I would not say that I am disappointed overall, but based on what I saw of Heather's beautiful, artistic pictures on the website, I was hoping for better.
