Sage Catering

I am STILL getting phone calls and emails about how wonderful the food was at my wedding!!! Sage fine food and catering knows what they are doing and Spring is so sweet! I loved working with her. Everything was so delicious!! I sometimes still dream of the gnocchi!! The staff also were a delight to be around!!!! I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Sage Catering is amazing! The food was delicious and they were very flexible on the menu. Everyone at my wedding raved about the food. The appetizers were delicious. I would recommend the mushroom and beef crostinis but the ahi tuna is the BEST! For dinner we had sea bass and filet mignon and it was great! The sea bass was cooked to perfection. For dessert we added to mini ice cream cones to pair with cupcakes and they were a unique and fun element to the meal. Two thumbs up!

We used Sage for our wedding reception at the Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley. We were thrilled with the service and food they provided.

From our first meeting with Scott, it was clear that we were getting a higher level of attention and service than we had gotten from the other caterers we met with. Scott solicited my ideas about menu planning on the phone before our first meeting, and created a menu with our favorite foods and flavors in mind. When we went to the tasting, we got to eat enormous portions of every single item on our proposed menu. The food was delicious. I'm a bit of a foodie, so I did have a few ideas about additions/tweaks to the menu. Scott was very attentive, and incorporated all of my changes into a revised menu. We were sold and decided to book Sage for our wedding.

We worked with Scott and Spring in the planning stages. They were both prompt, professional, and responsive. They answered emails promptly, met me on site to do a walk-through of the venue, and ordered space heaters last minute when the wedding weekend was colder than expected. They also agreed to make and serve a signature cocktail from a recipe that a friend of mine created.

At the wedding, the food and service were phenomenal. We got many compliments on the food, from fellow Bay-area foodie friends who are hard to impress. Having good food was very important to me, and I was so glad that we made the decision to hire Sage. If you can hire them, do!

Sadly I did not get to enjoy the cocktail hour appetizers as I was cuaght up in photos but my guests all gave great reviews on the food. The thai chicken skewers in particular were great and the dinner food was served beautifully and tasted just as great. They were very accomodating to my guests with special diets and made the made the whole experience at Viansa great!

Sage is the captive caterer for Viansa Winery. At first, we were worried that we wouldn't like their food, but everything for the wedding turned out delicious. Not everything on their menu is equally tasty, so make sure you do your homework. I recommend the crab cakes, the shrimp skewers, the filet of beef, the butternut squash ravioli, and the halibut. Those were all excellent. Their presentation was also good. I wouldn't say they are a great value, their prices are average for the wine country. But at least the food was delicious!!

We were delighted to discover that the food served at the wedding, both dinner and cocktail hour, were every bit as delicious as our tasting session was. The hors d'oeuvres were not only delicious, but beautifully presented. The dinner was also nicely presented. We received unsolicited complements on all the food served that evening. Even though this vendor was the designated caterer at our venue, we could not have been more satisfied with all aspects of performance.
