Sally is awesome! My four bridesmaids, my chatty flower girl, my mom and myself got our makeup done for my wedding by Sally. She nailed every look that the girls were asking for. My mom who can be critical at times and who I had to convince to get her makeup done loved her look. She thought the makeup was very light and it brightened up her face. Even her fancy eyebrows that I asked Sally to darken in. She looked AMAZING in the photos.

As for me, my makeup looked flawless. I am sorta picky when it comes to the colors that i wear but as soon as i spoke to Sally and had my first trial with her she knew exactly what to do. I was 100% comfortable with her. My makeup on my wedding day was exactly what I had wanted. My eyes never looked so green before. Sally is very talented, very professional and I am definitely going back to her for special events. Totally totally worth it ladies!

There is nothing I can say that all the other brides haven't already said. Sally is just the best. HANDS DOWN. There is no other makeup artist in NY who comes close to her. Book her fast because she is booked very far out and once you see her work you know why. I would never trust anyone else to do my makeup now. She is an absolute doll!

Not only did Sally make me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day, she also was a life saver when my hair stylist got stuck in NYC! She called a hair stylist, who arrived 20 min later and did an absolutely amazing job! Sally was super flexible for my make up trial and made it look exactly like the picture I showed her. My mom has super sensitive skin and Sally told her that if she felt more comfortable she would use my moms makeup on her - which she greatly appreciated. She is not only super talented but very sweet and calming for me on my wedding day. My make up stayed perfect through my tears of happiness and sweating from dancing!! My sister in law used her as well and we both HIGHLY recommend her. I feel so blessed that she wasn't book the day of my wedding!!!

Giving a 5-star rating has never been so easy. Nicole Sievers from Sally Duvall was my makeup artist and she was FABULOUS. She is calm, sweet and professional to work with. I am VERY picky about my makeup and was extremely worried that I wouldn't be able to find someone that I loved for my wedding. I had a few trials and was not impressed. I wanted a red/berry lip with a beautiful eye. After I had a trial with Nicole, all my reservations disappeared. She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions and I walked out of my trial like I was walking on air! The day of my wedding was no different...if anything it was even better. She completely nailed it and gave me the Old Hollywood glamour look I was going for but made it look natural as well. I can't tell you how many compliments I received on my hair and makeup. (Stacy Pitt did my hair – another AMAZING artist) The whole night people were saying how much they loved it. Nicole also did my mother, sisters and bridesmaids and they looked absolutely stunning. Best makeup they or I ever had! I have already recommended Nicole to friends and will continue to do so. Many asked for her contact info after my wedding. Also, Nicole came to my hotel suite and did my makeup there. It was a perfect setup. It made me feel so relaxed and happy to be able to get ready in my robe and not have to run around and go to a salon. This one should be an easy decision for brides...book Nicole (and Stacy!), you will NOT regret it!

Sally did the make-up for my wedding for me, 8 bridesmaids and my mother-in-law and did a FANTASTIC job. I absolutely loved my make-up and received so many compliments throughout the evening about how beautiful it looked. She has an incredible eye for bringing out one's natural beauty - we all looked like ourselves but our most glamorous and gorgeous selves! Our make-up stayed put throughout the long day and evening and everyone looks absolutely stunning in the photos. She was also so easy to work with and super accomodating. Sally is an artist with make-up. She uses airbrushing which makes everyone's complexion look flawless. She is so easy to work with that any stress that would occur while having your make up done is gone. She is just one of the girls and will do exactly what you want. Sally has an amazing way of making you feel like you are the only person in the room and you are the only one that matters. She is so cool and calm as she does your makeup amidst all the other wedding activity. Sally is incredibly talented! Our makeup looked natural yet glamorous. We looked like ourselves just cranked up a few notches in the gorgeous category. The makeup stayed on all evening even through walking around the city in 97 degrees with 100% humidity and a flash thunderstorm when leaving our ceremony!

Sally Duvall is truly a talented make up artist. She worked my wedding party of 9 this past weekend and did a wonderful job making each of them (across varying age groups and styles) look stunning both on and off camera! It felt like she just "got" me (bride) and knew how to play up my best features without having ever met me or having seen how I normally wear my make up. Most importantly her work was key in helping me look and feel my best all day.

Sally is fabulous! She made everyone in my bridal party look flawless without being too heavy handed. It was perfect for my outdoor July wedding. I was concerned about touch ups, since I tend to blink a lot and eye makeup ends up all over my face. After four hours straight of pictures in the hot sun, all I needed to reapply was my lipstick. It was incredible. Sally has perfect reviews for good reason. She is calm, collected, and so easy to work with - a combination hard to come by in NYC. Not to mention, she is FAST! We were done ahead of schedule, even with several of my bridesmaids arriving late due to hair/subway fiascos. Book her early.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Sally Duvall. Nicole Sievers was the artist who did the makeup for myself, my mother, and my bridal party. I would use her again in a heartbeat, and plan to again for any occasion I have that would require me to get makeup done. Not only was the makeup beautiful, but it was also done so quickly! Nicole took a lot of time during my trial to get to know exactly what I wanted. She was very patient with me and tried several options until I was 100% satisfied. Sally is a genius with make up. I was thrilled with her work, and I am incredibly picky. I wanted natural and glamorous, and she did both -- and I still looked like me. Sally and her assistant came to my house on my wedding day and did my makeup, as well as my entire bridal party (10 girls), both moms, and my grandma. Everyone LOVED the results, and the best part was that it lasted all day long (wedding day prep started at 7am and wedding did not end until midnight). My makeup looked natural but radiant, she gave me the perfect "bride" glow and I only wish I had Sally around every morning! The airbrush makeup felt very light and looked flawless in my HD photos/video, and I could not feel the eyelashes at all. Sally Duvall was nothing short of phenomenal to work with in every respect. The members of my wedding party each wanted a different look--I wanted to look romantic, my sister wanted to be a glamazon, my mother-in-law was hesitant about makeup and wanted a barely-there look, etc. Sally made everyone look like the absolute best version of what they wanted to be and put us all at ease. Everyone was thrilled! Sally has a very laid back personality, which makes her incredibly reassuring to have around on a stressful day. Also, leading up to the day and on the day itself, her professionalism was outstanding. She responded to emails promptly, she had the fairest contract of any of my vendors (as a lawyer I scrutinized them all), and she showed up at the precise time and place we had agreed upon and really delivered top-quality services for a fair price. When my groom freaked out about a blemish at the last minute, she slipped out discreetly and helped him too. She was THE BEST. Having my face look right at my wedding was, obviously, incredibly important to me and with Sally I truly had no worries. Also, I should note that I found her on the internet based on other brides' reviews and had not met nor heard of her before. Brides who find her are very lucky!

Sally is kick-ass! She's very laid-back but professional. Available via e-mail, which was very important for my planning purposes. She listened to what I wanted but also provided some ideas of her own. And she made everyone comfortable on the day of, including my mom. She works well with Stacy Pitt of Styles on B. It was very important to me to find a makeup artist that could do makeup for different ethnic bridesmaids from all over the world...and Sally did an amazing job! She captured the essence of my roaring twenties wedding and transformed my bridesmaids into beautiful glamorous flappers. Sally did an amazing job with both my and my bridesmaids' makeup. She was very attentive to what everyone wanted. I told her I wanted a natural look, and she pulled it off beautifully. Sally did my makeup for my July 2010 wedding and she did an AMAZING job! She also did makeup for my mom and my sister, and they loved her as well. My mom was very concerned about the whole airbrush thing-mostly because she had never done it before. So when I went for my trial my mom got one too, and after that we were hooked. Sally was completely professional, and when she did our makeup we still looked like ourselves only better. I felt like I wasn't wearing any makeup and it lasted all night. I could go on and on. I love Sally Duvall! A few of my friends had used Sally for their wedding makeup and I was thrilled when she was available for my wedding. I can not say enough positive things about Sally. She was fabulous to work with and made me look fabulous on my wedding day. I planned my wedding in New York from my home in Los Angeles. Much of my planning was through research online and a tremendous amount of trust in the vendors we chose. Sally was such a gem - she made sure that I was completely happy with my makeup, and gave me a little touch-up kit to make sure that the makeup stayed perfect throughout the whole day. She also did my bridesmaids' and mom's makeup, and they were all thrilled. I recommend Sally to absolutely anyone for makeup for any event. You won't be disappointed!

Sally was wonderful to work with and her work was incredible. She took the time to understand the look I wanted and used her expertise to take my vision to the next level. I was thrilled with the makeup services Sally provided for my wedding party. She was extremely attentive to the needs and wishes of each bridesmaid and was able to work indoors with limited light (on a rainy Winter day in the hotel suite) to ensure that the makeup for each girl was perfect. Even though each of the bridesmaids had different coloring, she was a pro with color mixing and our makeup lasted all night. She even gave me a little powder and lipstick for touch ups. While recommended by my wedding planner, I asked a friend who is a celebrity makeup artist which vendor to choose and she said that Sally was the one. She was completely right. I'm not sure if most brides feel this way, but finding the right hair and makeup people for my wedding was EXTREMELY important to me. I was totally stressing/obsessing about who to use when I got a recommendation from a friend of my husband's. She had used Sally and so had a few of her friends and she couldn't say enough good things about her. And now I feel the same! Sally was so wonderful to work with. I am VERY, VERY particular with my makeup. I have very light features, but I can't stand to look overdone. Sally completely understood what I wanted and made me look as good as I ever have in my life! My skin was so flawless that it looked like porcelain (even with a huge zit on my chin). And after a 12 hour long day my makeup looked as though I had just done it. Most importantly though, I felt like me and looked natural, only better. I got married October 24, 2009 in NYC... Sally was so wonderful, honestly one of my favorites of all the people I worked with that day. We did all of the prep in the hotel at which the wedding was held. She came early, stayed as late as I needed, and was a calming, supportive, fun, friendly presence throughout the day of my wedding. My makeup was perfect - she made me look like me - but the perfect me :) All my girls looked beautiful as well and they loved working with Sally. At 2 AM, after a night of dancing and partying and being outside in the rain, one of my bridesmaid's commented "Your eye makeup still looks like it did 8 hours ago!" The application truly lasted all day. I am recommending Sally to everyone I know who is even considering getting married.

Sally is AMAZINGINGLY TALENTED!! She came to my mother's house the morning of my wedding to do my makeup and was a nice calming presence during a somewhat stressful day. My makeup lasted all night and looks so great in pictures! The best part about her style is that you still look like yourself - only better. Sally Duvall is my angel. It was raining on my wedding day and not stopping and I was having my reception at a botanical garden. I was so upset and crying when Sally rang the door bell to do my makeup.
She was so sweet and calm that she turned my mood right around. I got married at the end of August in NYC which is a time when heat and humidity are always a problem. The rain for most of the day was relentless, so Sally had her work cut out for her. She came, and with her magic wand, created such a flawless and timeless look that my mom, my best friend, my sister in law and myself looked fabulous. I have never felt more beautiful and more classic than the day of my wedding. Sally was such a pleasure to work with. She was on time, prepared, and might i say she is a way cool chic. Sally Duvall is AMAZING! My makeup looked incredible and lasted all night, but I never felt like I was wearing a lot of makeup. Sally did the makeup for 4 of us on the day of the wedding. Originally it was only going to be 3 of us, but after my cousin saw Sally's work she decided to go for makeup as well! I had contacted her after my hair stylist Stacy Pitt recommended her. At this point I was set on doing my own makeup and I was just looking for someone to take care of my bridesmaids. Sally would have none of it and insisted I come in for a trial at no charge. I was blown away. FINALLY someone who understood I did not want to look like a drag queen on my wedding day! She listened to exactly what I wanted and didn’t try to convince me I needed “more makeup for the camera!!!” I hired her on the spot and was thrilled with my look on my wedding day. One of my concerns was whether or not my makeup would hold up throughout the night. My skin tends to be on the oily side so I was convinced I would need ample touch ups – so not the case! Not only did everything stay put but I looked shine free and beautiful long into the after party! I couldn’t have asked for more in a makeup artist. She made me look like myself, just my best possible self! Sally rocks!!!!!

I have had a great experience each time and have consistently been amazed at how beautiful (yet natural) I looked as a result of their make-up techniques. While one may find their company a bit pricey, I found the final results (in person and in print) to be a sound investment. I recommend without hesitation.

I had a great experience with Sally. I wanted a look that was vintage Hollywood glamour, but not too over the top. I thought she did a great job. My makeup looked pretty flawless all night. FYI - I am Asian as were most of my bridesmaids.

Nicole was my makeup artist for the wedding and everyone can't get over how great I looked. All of my bridesmaids were simply stunning. Nicole was very professional, we had a great trial before the wedding with her and on the Big Day she adjusted the look exactly how I described it to her. She listened to my bridesmaids and tailored their looks to their preferences, making them comfortable with the makeup and looking amazing.
Nicole helped make the hussle and bustle of the day go by smoother by showing up a bit early to our session so there was no time wasted. She worked fast and efficiently, finishing us all before the deadline time. Nicole was accomodating to all of our requests while at the same time giving us feedback and advice from her extensive knowledge and experience.

Sally was wonderful! The ladies of my bridal party rarely wear makeup and she made each of them feel comfortable and look even more amazing than they usually do. She was prompt, organized and just the calming force needed in the bridal suite that morning.

Although initial communication was a bit slow, I loved Sally's final work. She did makeup for my mom, my maid of honor and myself and I couldnt be happier with the results. Our makeup lasted all night and she listened to what we wanted. Sally is pricey, but in my opinion worth it for such a big event.

What can I say about Sally Duvall that hasn't been said before? You won't find a more talented makeup artist anywhere. She is always on time and never disappoints. A true artist!
