In the end, we were very happy with what we got from WF&S. We planned our wedding "remotely" from out-of-state. Their communication was slightly lacking, but it was the best out of everyone we tried. We were a little worried in that we had to place our order (and deposit) a month in advance. This would be no problem, but they could not guarantee price or availability until the Wednesday (ya, 3 days!) before our wedding. We thought we were going to get completely screwed on pricing because of this. BUT! We did not. Our wedding was one day before Mother's Day and WF&S still came in under budget. They were not able to get exactly what we ordered, but they were able to provide wonderful alternatives that fit our theme nicely. Overall, it was great. We bought all of our flowers in bulk and decorated ourselves (bouques, decor, etc). We got ALL of our flowers for less than what others quoted for the bridal bouqet alone. I would not hesitate to use these guys again.

Great price, but things arrived looking VERY different from agreed-upon pictures.
My bouquet, my bridesmaid bouquets, the groom's bout, and all of the short centerpieces arrived looking very different from our agreed upon pictures. I even gave them a sample picture of each item to go from, which they said was great.
The groomsmen bouts, tall centerpieces, bathroom arrangements, cocktail table arrangements, and cake table petals were all gorgeous.
Could be a great value, if you can get them to SWEAR to abide by your agreed-upon pictures!

To save money we cut back on flowers. However we did do bouquets and boutonnieres. We were very pleased. They were the most reasonably priced and the flowers were gorgeous. They were extremely easy to work with during the planning process. I think we did all of our business back and forth via email and phone messages. That convenience was truly appreciated.
"Oh the prices, talk about reasonable in so many ways. One can find a flower vase or glass container in a variety of sizes and shapes at a variety of prices that fit any budget for do it your-selfers. The selection of products here is outstanding, you won't be disappointed."
"With a top notch design team that specializes in creating floral art and long lasting memories, the designers at Wholesale Flowers in San Diego have surpassed my expectations each time I've searched for ideas on unique wedding floral arrangements."
"Absolutely the best place in SD to get flowers. Large selection of flowers with the perfect amount of stems per bunch to create mixed bouquets. The vases are extremely budget friendly."
"I'm not a very big flower person, so when it came to looking for wedding flowers, I was looking for the cheapest option possible!
Thanks to Yelp I found Wholesale flowers! I pre-ordered about $90 worth of Gerbera Daisies in different colours for my wedding and picked them up the day before the wedding. I ordered about 10-12 bunches which turned out to be more than enough, I actually had too many!
One of my generous bridesmaids ended up making the bouquet, so it only cost me the price of the flowers and supplies, but I know that to have the staff make them, it starts about $115 a bouquet.
I will definitely use Wholesale flowers again for my future flower needs."
"Ok, I am cheap.
When I got quotes for wedding flowers, the sticker shock! Oh, the sticker shock. There was NO WAY I was going to pay that much for flowers. That is just crazy talk. I can think of way better uses for thousands of dollars than flowers.
So, I decided that I needed flowers anyway, so I thought I would just hit Trader Joes or Costco and make my own... but the more I thought about it, the less I liked that idea. There was no telling what I would get if I did that, and I had something in mind.
So, I looked around a little bit more - and I turned up Wholesale Flowers - What a find!!!
I ordered the flowers that I wanted, then my bridesmaids and I went down there the day before the wedding and picked up the order plus some. We found so many flowers!! We bought vases! We bought ribbon! Floral tape, marbles, more flowers. We went crazy in there. We had WAY more flowers than we could have ever used in our wedding. (we just put the bouquets together ourselves)
I spent $115. Seriously.
I still can't believe how little I spent.
To quote Gothickrose "This place rocks so much!"
I think they have design services as well... I did not get a price, though from what I spent on the flowers, I bet they are cheap.
So check them out. Be wowed by the amazing prices. I still am."
"I needed flowers to compliment my fabulously elegant wedding, but had little wiggle room in the budget. I found this place on YELP (thank you to all YELPERS!) after having researched internet wholesalers across the country, Costco and Sam's Club options. I even tried to contract Trader Joes, however, they don't do bulk orders. I went with white hydrangeas (around $3 per stem--- cheapest out there!) because they are excellent on their own, and really fill a square vase. The combo of hydrangeas and candles was dynamite for the reception. I made my own massive and gorgeous bridal bouquet using the same white hydrangeas, ivory roses ($15 for 2 dozen), and bugundy-black mini calla lillies. I bought their floral tape and taped that puppy-up, wrapped some ribbon around it, and it was PERFECT.
Dealing with this place was a breeze, pick-up wasn't a problem. I love working with them because they don't have minimum orders and it was a walk in the park, For all you SMART and FRUGAL brides who have an eye for style, this is the way to go."
"I'm spoiled; I like tokens of affection. A text in the middle of the day, candy, a bottle of wine, but the kicker is unexpected flowers. As much as I like receiving I'm also a giver and Wholesale Flowers is the perfect place to create a beautiful bouquet for someone special.
I've been going here for years to hook up gorgeous arrangements on the cheap. It does help if you have a creative bent and don't mind getting your hands dirty because the savings are unbelievable when you make your own bouquet! Two dozen long-stemmed roses will set you back $15, well worth it considering a dozen from a florist will cost 3x that. Sure some of the roses in the bunch can be duds since they're rolled into a cardboard wrap but with two dozen you still have a lot to work with. You will have to invest in a vase, clippers, and greens but still such a deal and you can get everything you need right there. Plus your lady will appreciate the time you spent making the arrangement yourself - this is especially great for Mother's Day moms LOVE homemade gifts!
While their deals on roses are great, they do also have a wide selection of flowers from gerbera daisies to phalaenopsis orchids to cherry blossom branches. They're perfect for finding arrangements for parties since their product mix is diverse enough to fit any theme. Also, their staff is quite helpful and if you're not inclined to make your own arrangement they do have their own florists on-site as well.
Buyer beware: around the popular holidays for flowers, i.e. Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, the goods go quickly so you would be wise to get there early or order an arrangement far in advance. Luckily I like the more exotic varieties so that's usually not a problem :)"
"I never thought a place could top World Market until I came here. If they had wine like Word Market does, I might spontaneously combust from the excitement.
Everything I needed for my wedding that wasn't included with my package at the winery, I found here and for much cheaper prices than I have seen anywhere. They have vases/glasses/bowls/boxes/pails/ribbon/wire and more, at bulk prices without making you buy in bulk.
I was about to buy these tall glass vases for my dessert table at Michaels for $17.99 each, and I found even bigger and better ones here for only $6.50 each! I almost bought battery operated tea lights on eBay for $10.00/pack of 5, and I got TWO packs of 6 for $10.00, AND these ones have 120 hour battery life and the others were 6. What a difference!
We browsed the flowers and I wanted to take them all home with me. Though I didnt buy any flowers that day, I noticed the prices were excellent, the quality excellent, and the line of people wanting to wait forever to get these quality arrangements for cheap was quite large. So that says a lot right there.
The cashier was super friendly, wrapped up my glass carefully and even put all my things in a sturdy box to drive it home safely without me even having to ask.
I know I will be back to poke around and buy random items like mini hanging chandeliers and plastic fruit. What a cool find!"
