I had to plan my wedding in west coast while doing my residency in the east coast. I tried to do it myself and realized how difficult it was going to be. Liz came to the rescue. She offered very reasonable fees and was there every step of the way. I was stressed out at many points throughout the process and she was there to calm me down. She made my wedding planning process tolerable and at times, enjoyable. She was always readily available and had great suggestions. My wedding turned out amazing...much much better than i had ever expected... and i could not have done it without her!

Liz is a miracle worker!!! We had a beautiful, elegant wedding which Liz coordinated amazingly!! She has amazing ideas from the cost-effective to elaborate and fancy. She is creative, open to your ideas and vision and NOT pushy or bossy at all! She has the perfect personality and creative mind - she was born to be a wedding consultant!
Our wedding ended up having some crazy unforeseen and dramatic moments :The hottest day of the year and a freak lightning storm which lead to us losing power, just as we were about to walk down the aisle. Liz was professional, got the power back on with generators, and was on top of all issues. She happened to be everywhere handling everything all at the same time! She is THE BEST!

Liz Guthrie, owner and founder of San Jose Wedding Consultants & Event Planners, is truly a creative genious. She took a few clippings from a French party book I had given to her to create a French country theme for my wedding reception. She transformed a dusty old train depot into a fabulous and one of a kind venue.

The amazing thing about Liz is that she always has her clients best interests at heart. She will scour antique fairs, garage sales, the internet, places I've never dreamed of, to find just the right decoration, fabric, prop or quirky detail to make the event spectacular. She listened to all the things I wanted - including mini clay pots with individual ivy plants for the name cards at each table... bless her, she planted 100 of them and she was 9 months pregnant at the time... you are the best!

I cannot even begin to thank you enough for all of your help on our AMAZING wedding! Not only did you help us stay on top of every detail through the planning process and come up with the most creative ideas, but you made the day so perfectly smooth! When we were first engaged people would always tell me “Expect something to go wrong the day of..because it will!” Well, I am here to say that NOTHING went wrong thanks to you. And if it did, I didn’t, and still don’t know about it!

Thank you for caring so much about our wedding – you took it under your wing as if it were your own. And we can’t thank you enough for wrapping your arms around the idea of having lots of kids at the wedding – Our friends and family are still talking about the fabulous kid’s area and how adorable and magical the handmade decorations were – thank you for all your hard work.

When C.T. and I look back on our wedding day, we are still so giddy about how completely wonderful and truly perfect it was and we have you to thank. In case we haven’t said it enough – Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you!!!

Liz is amazing. She took a very tight budget and made an amazing wedding out of it. The ideas and creativity she brought to the event made it truly unique and perfectly fitting with our personalities (I mean, come on, I've never even heard another wedding planner say "you know, fire eaters could be really cool at this!").

We've been told by many of the guests that it was the best, most fun wedding they've ever attended, and we credit Liz with making it so.

I highly recommend Liz for any type of event you may be planning - she is absolutely the tops at her game and the best you're going to find in the Bay Area!
