Reviews for Sandals Grande St. Lucia
I had the most amazing time at Sandals St. Lucia Grand. The resort is couples only so there are no kids running around which in my opinion can really ruin a relaxing day by the pool. The airline lost our luggage and I was really worried about ever getting it because the entire airport is basically one little shack. However, our personal concierge at Sandals got on the phone immediately and was in constant contact with the airline and we had our luggage in no time. Our room was great. Ocean views, comfortable sheets, great bathroom. We had a great concierge who catered to our every whim. The resort itself is gorgeous. The service was probably the best I've ever had. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everything is included, (even motorized sports, which is most often not included at other resorts). We went scuba diving, sailing, snorkling, you name it. The food was good, (and I'm a picky eater). Also, there are 2 other Sandals resorts on the island and guest have access to all of them to just hang out or eat at the restaurants. There is a free shuttle to take you from resort to resort.
The spa, (not included), was also amazing. I'm a spa enthusiast and I have to say I had some of the best spa treatments I've ever experienced, (wrap, scub, massage).
I definitely recommend this resort to anyone and would go again.
Note: I was there for just a vacation but most couples are there on their honeymoon or anniversary so there are a lot of young couples there.
My husband and I actually stayed at the Halcyon in St. Lucia - but we visit the other two resorts (The Grande, and The Regency) and the Grande was BY FAR our favorite!! If you're going to go to St. Lucia I would recommend no other resort by the Grande by Sandals!
I think this is the way to go when you go on your honeymoon. The airfare, food, drinks, hotel and transportation was all included for less than $3000. All the excursions are extra but definatley reasonable. Sandals is neat in the way you can drink, eat, and visit all dining locations within facinity of host hotel.
The resort was beyond our wildest dreams. The staff and workers really make you feel welcome. We totally felt appreciated and special. We read all the brochures, and who hasn't seen their countless commercials, but staying at Sandals really was an experience like no other. From the many incredible activities like zip lining through a rain forest and snorkeling , to relaxing, to having a little "private time" Sandals covers it all. The food and entertainment was great. There's certainly never a dull moment. I don't think that Sandals can not be out done when it comes to a wonderful vacation.
The whole experience was my favorite.
our honeymoon was amazing. everything was included and pre-paid for, so we didn’t have to walk around with a wallet or worry about anything. it was a ton of fun and super relaxing at the same time. the food is really good and the drinks are great. the staff is really nice too. we want to go back for our one-year anniversary.
Wow, I have to say that we were not that impressed. We have stayed at a lot of all inclusive places (which by the way is the way to go), but we were expecting it to be better than it actually was. For the price we paid I think we could have done better. It was nice, but it wasn't "great".
We loved St. Lucia! However, the resort lost one of our bags from the airport to the hotel, and accused us of never having it to begin with. It was eventually found on the back of the bus. Our rooms were 'upgraded' but we didn't have an oceanview like we had originally reserved, and then our AC unit went out in the room. They did put us in a very nice room in the end, but our first two days were very frustrating.
We had an amazing time at Sandals! This was the perfect location for our honeymoon and I would recommend it to anyone.
The location is beautiful and the amenities are very comfortable. We had our own private lagoon that we shared with a few other rooms, but never saw anyone else out there. The food was less than adequate and we were overall dissapointed by it. The best places to eat are: The crepe place, the Japanese place at the other hotel, and La Toc. You are able to go to any of the other hotels on the island (2 other sandals spots) to eat or hang out during the day, but we saw that many people came to ours because it is the biggest. They had many nightly events including fire limbo dancers which was very entertaining. Just make sure your room is far away from the party area! We did one excursion which was zip lining and that was INCREDIBLE--I don't like heights and I absolutely loved it!!!
Excellent value for an all-inclusive in an absolutely beautiful resort. Well worth the price!
For scuba divers and honeymooners it is without question the best resort you can find. The beach is SUBLIME, the water calm, and the staff extremely friendly!
My Husband and I were originally not going to go on a honeymoon but several months before decided that we wanted to. We were still able to get a good deal for our honeymoon that we could afford. We had an amazing time and the resort was beautiful. The food and drinks are amazing. The rooms are big and beautiful and are kept very clean. There are a lot of opportunities to do a lot of activities.
We highly recommend it!!
I would highly recommend our honeymoon location. A Sandals all-inclusive resort is definitely the way to go. The water is beautiful, the food is outstanding, and you can eat and drink all day and not have to carry money around. They had a buffet on the beach, a swim up bar in the pool, 5 different restaurants to choose from every night. We went horseback riding through the mountains as well. The vacation was pricey, but worth it to spend the extra money for your honeymoon.
We have booked our honeymoon through Sandals.com. We were very impressed with the website and pictures, as well as all the information on booking. We were able to book both the resort and transportation together. This is an all-inclusive resort and we have read many, many great reviews on their website as well as www.tripadvisor.com.
When we first got there we were impressed until we checked into our room. we had decided to spurge and go for the suite with the private pool. the room was horrible, the furniture was falling apart and had staples holding it together. we found out that they were remolding, it would have been nice to know before we went there. see both my husband and i are in construction so the last thing we wanted was to see and hear construction activities durng our honeymoon. then we see a suite next to ours and it was so nice everything seemed new and nice. we complained and nothing happend at first but after another day in the crappy room with no hot water in the shower and the pool so cold that you cold not even put your feet in at the middle of the day. they finally up graded us to the nicest level two story villa. it was nice. however, the pool situation was the same, too cold. do not waste your money on the private pool, it's not worth it. also, do not open the windows to hear the ocean waves hit the rocks, because of the humidity it causes lots of condensation and the floors become to wet and cause an unsafe condition. i know i fell down the stairs and caused to disk in my back to crack, my husband when he heard me fall went running to see if i was ok and he slipped and ran into the wall and broke his toe. oh yeah we also had food poisioning and an earthquake caused and avalanche. but we have great memories together and it is a honeymoon never to forget. i do not recommend spending so much money, so if you pick one of the lesser expensive rooms it is worth the money. if they are not remodeling.
Wow, talk about the perfect setting after having planned like mad for so many months! We went with the butler package and it was worth EVERY penny. They were running a special when we booked, so I would definitely inquire about their specials. We had anything we wanted at our dial of a telephone at all hours of the day. The butlers drew bubble baths for us, brought us lunch poolside and had breakfast on our porch as often as we wanted. I would 100% recommend an all-inclusive. Our biggest worry the entire 10 days was where we were going to eat for dinner! It was so relaxing and romantic. You could be social or be totally secluded, whatever you wanted for the day! It was wonderful having 2 other Sandals resorts on the island that were also at your disposal. Some of the food was mediocre but most of it was just delicious!
This resort is amazing. They had so much to offer and do while on the campus that we never sat still or got bored! It was absolutely breathtaking and well worth the time flying there and the money spent. As honeymooners, we received free upgrades and were treated like royalty everywhere we went. They offered several different honeymoon packages that we enjoyed together. The accommodations were luxuries and the staff was really nice. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on going back again~!!
The cost of the Sandals vacations are outrageous despite all the things you receive. There is a good chance you can put this vacation together yourself without the cost of the all inclusiveness.
I got married here in sandals la toc golf regency & Spa, recently had a flood in my home. Can I order more pictures that I didn't the first time around and pay for them to be sent to me on a Cd? I got married 2 yrs ago, would they still have my pics and wedding video??
