When preparing for our March 10 wedding at Saint Francis Chapel in Balboa Park, we wanted to ensure our ceremony was meaningful, heartfelt and reflected our personalities. We wanted to keep the ceremony fun, but we also wanted it to be rooted in our spirituality and serious enough to mark the importance of the occasion. After meeting with Pastor Jack Hawkins, we knew immediately we’d found the right person to marry us. Not only was he extremely easy to chat with, he was genuinely interested in hearing about how we met and why we were marrying. He took that information and wove it into what many of our guests have called “the most warm, meaningful ceremony that we’ve witnessed.” Others called it “so much fun” and “a perfect reflection our personalities.” What can I say? Pastor Jack delivered exactly what we were looking for. He has an incredible gift to combine an appropriate amount of humor with the right about of seriousness for the day. I couldn’t be more pleased with Pastor Jack Hawkins as our officiant.

We absolutely could not have chosen a better person to officate our wedding than Jack - and all of our guests agreed! Jack took the time to get to know us and it added such a personal element to the ceremony. He kept us laughing and crying and shared wonderful personal messages of life and love.

Pastor Jack did an amazing job at my daughter Brittany's wedding. The ceremony was so beautiful and personalized for Brittany and Matt. A little late but 2 months to the date:
Here we go...
After doing my research online and coming across Jack Hawkins on TheKnot.com, we knew our search was over.
After meeting Jack, we knew even though he is a Pastor at Canyon Springs he would make our wedding memorable, enjoyable and light.
We had to write individual homework assignments on why we are getting married, what we love about each other, etc. Little did my now husband know, the funny response he wrote in the homework assignment would end up being shared during the ceremony. It was great and our guest got a great kick out of his comedic touches.
We have friends now that are getting married and contacted us to get Jack's info.
Thank you so much for putting your special touch and also incorporating our Scottish/Irish traditions into our ceremony.

Jack is a great guy. He took the time to meet with my wife and I to really get to know us. He worked with us to really personalize our ceremony and when the day arrived he was awesome. Pastor Jack led our wedding ceremony back in June and we were so lucky to find him. He was recommended by another pastor who was unavailable for our wedding date and we are so glad he did. He personalized the ceremony with how we met, the proposal, and kept the ceremony light and humorous. He involved the guests and kept them interested with his real advice on marriage. During the reception, everyone commented on how he was the best officiant! My husband and I have since started attending Pastor Jack's church =)

We came across Pastor Jack online somewhere amidst our deep research for the perfect pastor for our wedding. The first thing that stuck out to us was the name of his website, http://sandiegowedding.... We thought it was hilarious and it stuck in our minds. We looked into a lot of different people and after meeting with Jack and getting to know him a little bit, there wasn't a question in our minds. He is funny, genuine, and easy to speak with. Our ceremony went off without a hitch, it was personal, touching, funny, and emotional. Pastor Jack had all of our guests intrigued which made it easy to get genuine laughs and emotions from everyone there. During our cocktail hour, we received more compliments on Pastor Jack and his delivery than anything else. We are so thankful that our Ceremony will stick with people because of how good Pastor Jack is at his job. I would highly recommend him, especially if you are a couple who have faith but have no strong connection to a church.

On a sidenote, we also plan to attend his church in the near future, I am very impressed with what he and his wife are doing with Canyon Springs Church.

Firstly, Jack is a nice guy. Just what you want for an officiant. After meeting with a few officiants we were relaxed and confident that Jack would be the best person to marry us. Some officiants tell you the process they follow without establishing too much info about you, Jack has a series of questions "homework" for you from which he constructs a story for the wedding, he got to know us and included our stories & thoughts in the ceremony. During the ceremony he had us at ease, he engaged our guests and made us laugh a little. A little bit of good advice from his own marriage experience was nice too. Thanks Jack.

Pastor Jack did a remarkable job as our officiant. We attended his congregation before we decided to book him, and we instantly fell in love with his message. His online videos were a wonderful lead-in before the wedding. They gave us pause and foresight before we made the big leap.

Pastor Jack’s professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm are unmatched! He provided all the spiritual and emotional support we needed before, during, and even after our big day. Our wedding day was wonderful, but a large part goes to Jack Hawkins. Pastor Jack was the officiant for our church ceremony at the North Chapel in Liberty Station, Point Loma. It was a small ceremony with mostly family members. He gave us a personalized and memorable wedding ceremony. He had a great presence, and made our guests laugh and cry tears of joy. The only minor issue we had was that he was not as responsive as we were hoping when we were approaching the wedding date. We had contacted him via email and had to call him to follow up before we got a response. Overall, Pastor Jack was a good officiant, and we would recommend him.
